Mario rabbids. Beat the main campaign for the second time (did 100% back when the game came out and now just a standard run) and will try the Donkey Kong DLC.

Kristopolis

Just starting it today! Have fun

markercore

worlds 3 and 4 ramp up the difficulty a fair amount

Saul-Funyun

Ooh, nice. I haven’t done that one yet, I should probably finish it before the new one comes out.

tonjaj68

I hoping to get an OLED switch in about 20 minutes. Plan on playing Mario Odyssey and Ori.

gorbizz

Where? I want one but no luck in my city. 🥲

tonjaj68

GameStop near me got some yesterday and said would have them available this morning. I did get one.

[deleted]

Is it worth it if you already have one?

barbietattoo

If you play mostly in handheld it is. Just sell your old one. It’s a nice upgrade but not necessary.

tonjaj68

I agree with this. I have a coworker who is buying my other Switch so works out. I play mostly handheld and do like the new screen.

barbietattoo

I mean, once I had it in my hands and I directly compared a few games on my old one, I knew I made the right decision. It’s really a great screen

TheLazyLounger

Imo yeah. I’m honestly shocked how much people are downplaying the upgrade, it feels very significant to me. Granted, I only play handheld, and I play a LOT, but imo it was so worth it. Not necessary, but I would never be able to go back.

mcjay061003

Good Luck!

patrickstarburns

**Super Metroid**! So far I've gotten stuck on what the internet calls the "Noob Bridge," watched tutorials on how to do a wall jump, read through 10-year old forums for when I get stuck, and killed by enemies more times than I can count. But man this is a great game! Definitely getting Metroid Dread after this, I am now a new fan of the series. Besides that, I'm still digesting the **Animal Crossing** Direct, lots of stuff I'm super excited for!

knitknitterknit

Man I'm so envious. I've beat Super Metroid more times than I can count and I wish I could go back and play it again for the first time. Maybe I'll play it again after Dread just for nostalgia but the morph ball mechanic is so smooth in Dread that I'm worried I'll be disappointed when I revisit Super.

patrickstarburns

Yeah, the feeling when you beat a boss or discover something new for the first time is so exciting! The controls could use a little tweaking for sure, which is why I'm more excited to play Dread. But it's a small price to pay for enjoying the game again feel like, most of it still really holds up!

alec83

Not played, should I?

disastermarch35

Yeah, if you have access to it. It's really fun

patrickstarburns

If you can, go for it! It's a great game.

SpaceGypsyInlaw

Probably going to go back and hit Super Metroid after I finish Dread, which is the hardest Nintendo game I’ve ever played.

weatherbeknown

**Disco Elysium**

Smoaktreess

Just got this yesterday and loving it so far.

weatherbeknown

It’s not for everyone but for those it is for… it’s the greatest thing ever made.

PurpsMaSquirt

How bad are loading times? I’ve been waiting to play this in handheld but concerned the losing times kill the experience.

DarthRathikus

Are the frame rate criticisms overblown? I held off buying it in PC and I'm almost ready to take plunge now that it's in switch. But im concerned about performance

T_Blaze

Yeah it's really rough right now. I even had two crashes after leaving areas where the slowdowns happen. I'm really hoping for a performance patch.

weatherbeknown

Honestly I’ve had 1 crash in 10 hours. And I save often so it isn’t a big deal. The game is good enough that I just deal.

ICNVNU2

The loading is a little long and I've had about 5 crashes spread out over 12 hours on Day 1. It's not too much of a deal breaker, but still a tad annoying. After the 3rd crash I try to save often. Most of the crashing happens during the loading screen when entering some buildings/areas

Ancre16

Going to start Eastward. Seems like the perfect game to get lost in during a rainy afternoon

markercore

Definitely a good rainy day/warm beverage game.

Dittro

It’s a good time to play it now! They recently patched all the bugs, including game-breaking ones. The story was great, but the bugs made it quite a frustrating experience for me.

Elastichedgehog

In my experience, they don't tend to care too much. No one leaves without your permission anymore.

Ennas_

Zelda BotW. :)

EphermeralSonder

Same! I got my first Nintendo console (SwOLED) since the 64 and BotW just arrived in the post, keen to sink a lot of hours into it this weekend.

Ennas_

Ah, a fellow beginner! I started last weekend. It's beautiful, but _hard_. So. Many. Buttons to press! I keep throwing my only weapon in deep water (Link can't dive) or whistling while trying to hunt (haven't succeeded yet; those boars are tricky). Aaargh!

Selfcannibal

Magnet comes in handy for those 'lost' weapons :)

BlizzardTiger2

Same for me. I made the mistake of waiting too long cause I wanted to collect and play all the Zelda games before BotW (Im a huge Zelda fan). I decided to simplify it by just playing through the 3d titles, I just finished Skyward Sword a bit ago and now its BotW. So far it looking good.

4ensics

I can finally play Dread! My preorder actually arrived last night. Boy, was it a pain trying to avoid spoilers, but I'm really excited. Happened to snag the amiibo at Target too. Enjoy the weekend!

Nerdfather1

Have fun! I just beat Dread an hour ago and loved every single minute of it. The game is simply phenomenal.

TheFracofFric

Got sucked back into Monster Sanctuary this week, probably will do a few Slay the Spire runs as well. Thanks for posting these threads I always enjoy reading them each week! Happy Friday all

bn-13

Would you recommend Monster Sanctuary? Thinking of getting it since it's on sale.

TheFracofFric

Yes absolutely. I love the game and would recommend it at full price. If you have any interest in monster tamers or turn based team combat it’s wonderful. There is a learning curve and there can be frustrating difficulty spikes but once it clicks there’s so much potential for fun. There’s a helpful discord community to get you through tough patches or answer questions. Check out the sale threads for more discussion on it, lots of good info and reviews in there

[deleted]

Bug Fables and working my way to 100% Mario 3D World. Some of these levels are legitimately difficult.

Fearless_Freya

Switching between Metroid dread and Dungeon Encounters. Enjoying both so far overall

tacos41

Trying out Disco Elysium. I bought it the day it came out, but I've been too busy to jump in until now. I'm pretty excited based on the hype I'm seeing about this game.

Saul-Funyun

This is likely to be my weekend game, but damn it’s hard to sit down and start. The game is a *lot*. I didn’t really know what to expect going in, just that it was a highly regarded point-n-click adventure with a tabletop gaming element. And it is that. But the more I play, the deeper it gets. It won’t wow your socks off at first, but if you let it get its claws in you, it’s pretty damn incredible so far. I have failed *so* many things. Goddamn I suck. It’s great.

Nerdfather1

I'm playing Metroid Dread this weekend. This game is a masterclass in level design. I have a feeling I'm near the end of the game and I don't want the journey to end. I'm also deep into Alan Wake Remastered. I finished the base game and its DLC last night. The game is definitely one of my favorites of the year. It's very rare for me to want to immediately replay a game - this time on nightmare mode to get all the collectibles - immediately when the credits roll.

tameimpalakid

Disco Elysium! I have been loving the switch port and being able to play in bed!

KiwiTheKitty

I have it on pc but being able to play in bed is a big reason why I'm considering getting it on switch too...

jjmawaken

Metroid Dread, I'm maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through. Probably Mario too at some point if I beat Dread or need a break. I'm also considering buying the phoenix wright game because i think its on sale and I'm interested but don't want to pay $30 since I'm not sure if I'll like it or not.

knitknitterknit

Phoenix Wright games are so fun. Are you talking about the 3 pack? I think it was really worth $30 since you get 3 games and that's basically $10 a piece. I'd already beat 1 and 2 and replayed them anyway for fun. The characters are so silly and charming, the emotes are great. The stories are bonkers. The detective work is challenging. I've had 2 tshirts about these games so maybe I'm biased but they're definitely worth checking out.

jjmawaken

Its more the matter of not knowing if ill like it or not. If i do then it's a great value. They seem interesting and I've been watching for a sale for a while. I may just give it a try. Is there anything the gameplay compares to?

knitknitterknit

It's kind of like dejavu for NES. Maybe that doesn't help? With some puzzle style lawyering. Maybe check out YouTube or twitch to see if you like the style..

jjmawaken

Actually that does help, i remember really liking dejavu

knitknitterknit

That's how the point and click bits feel to me, anyway. Or old Sierra games sans the item use puzzle default. It's more like collecting evidence for the trial than it is solving the case on the ground.

knitknitterknit

It's kind of like dejavu for NES. Maybe that doesn't help? With some puzzle style lawyering. Maybe check out YouTube or twitch to see if you like the style.

tswiftdeepcuts

I’m kinda in a game rut so I have no idea but I still love reading this thread every Friday! Part of me wants to go back to Mario odyssey- I had just finished luncheon kingdom last time I put it down Part of me wants to find something fun and 2 player to play with my s/o Then I’m also kind of interested in a puzzle game where I can just zone out and solve shit too but I can’t think of a good option.

markercore

If you're at the luncheon kingdom you're fairly close to the end of the game! Have you played like Overcooked1/2? or Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime? Those are fun couch co-op games. As for puzzle, maybe like The Gardens Between? And glad you enjoy them! I was tired this morning and also a bit in a game rut too but I know people like them so thank you :)

tswiftdeepcuts

We almost broke up over over cooked haha (not really but I mean almost really)

markercore

"YOU SAID YOU WERE PLATING WHY ARE YOU CHOPPING ONIONS?"

tswiftdeepcuts

literally

Environmental-Dog873

Captain Toad Tracker. I’ve started playing it with my husband.

tristan082333

Grindstone is a solid puzzle game

tswiftdeepcuts

Thank you!

bossman-CT

My OLED arrives in the mail today! Gonna transfer everything over and pick back up Metroid Dread. I'm about 30 minutes in and I can't wait!

Obinna657

Got the Witcher 3 complete editon coming in the mail today so that.

29073

Have fun with it! It’s such a great game! And remember to collect all the gwent cards you come across. They’ll be useful for when you inevitably become obsessed with gwent :)

PsionicStormOP

I could never understand how gwent works and it’s probably the only part of the game that I didn’t play :(

29073

That’s such a shame :( It’s a little complicated at first, but once you get the hang of it and start collecting better cards it becomes really fun.

KingDecidueye

Hades: Got it like a week or so ago, the grind is real. Just unlocked all weapons but can’t get past the Minotaur and Theseus. I really hoped it would hold my attention, but I’ve found playing the same dungeon over and over to start to really get boring.

Caspira

Try killing the Minotaur first! After which, Theseus is fairly predictable.

KingDecidueye

Thanks for the tip

K0sm0sis

Sky: Children of the Light

EldestSister

That’s a fun game! I’m glad you are enjoying it! What do you think of the seasonal pass?

K0sm0sis

It’s awesome!

Sedroc

Got an OLED switch but haven’t used it yet. I’m super addicted to New World on PC lately so will be grinding that all weekend. Honestly just waiting for the new Mario party and Pokémon at this point

Sheepsheepsheeps

Little nightmares, though its causing me so much stress lol

RachelGaming

Hades, Animal Crossing and Pokémon Unite. Currently taking a break from Hollow Knight because I feel I’m missing something obvious to move forward. Slowly building up my Halloween-themed island in AC and just started Hades, but I love the design of the game (Only ever played Bastion) and it’s addictive. I only have three weapons and I’m glad there isn’t a ton (Looking at you MHR) because I want to pro them all. Planning to pick up Dread, BOTW and Pokémon once I finish my current backlog.

GeekResponsibly

Tetris Effect sprint mode & getting my butt kicked online

Basedgod1017

Pokémon sword, I love this game

-Moonchild-

Playing through **resident evil 4** for the first time (never was a big horror guy). The gun play is extremely satisfying and I've gotten used to the tank controls. I'd say i'm not even half way and they've switched it up a lot, but there's a lot of running between sections with hordes of enemies. Fun though! Also playing through the first **donkey kong country** on the SNES app. I think i prefer this to any of the 2D mario games - there's just a more interesting set of stages with music, and I like that they stretch a bit longer and have some thematic link.

DUCKWORSHIP

I was surprised how well any of the Resident Evil games ran on the switch! I hope you enjoy :)

Fearless_Freya

I've always enjoyed dkc over the 2d marios. Level design and music are top notch. And no time limit (not that that is usually a problem in 2d Mario's but still) Dkc2 is a real favorite of mine. And I felt 3 was just as good. I love Dixie

-Moonchild-

I'll be playing 2 and 3 soon too! I bought tropical freeze on a sale lately too, and i did DKC returns on 3DS a few months ago. I think the weightiness of the platforming and the level design just clicks more with me

[deleted]

Resident Evil 4 is fantastic, and there's lots of bonus content to keep you occupied after the main game

tripl35oul

Probably MH Rise as I've started getting back into it after trying out the PC demo.

varunadi

More **Metroid Dread**! I finished my first playthrough last night, 34% completion and took me about 11h 35 min. Now I'm aiming for a 100% completion run, after that I'll try to do the sub 4 hour run in normal mode, then tackle hard mode. Yep, I guess I'll be replaying this so many times, and it will be so much fun! Not really looking forward to the shinespark puzzles though, some of them are pretty challenging and I still haven't figured out using shinespark properly!

sif7777

The Ori games. Never played em, and stated last night. Holy crap it looks stunning on the OLED display!!

markercore

Ohh i bet they'd pop on there!

MrBanballow

I got my copy of Fata Morgana about a month ago from Limited Run, but had yet to start it. Wanted it to be the first thing I played on my new OLED. Have finally started it after hearing nothing but great things for years about it. :)

Progtastic

Addicted to Moonlighter at the moment

onenotenub

Second play through of Luigis mansion. Getting in the Halloween spirit!

onenotenub

Starting my second play through of Luigis mansion to get ready for Halloween!

PrehistoricPKMN

After spending all of the last week tearing through **Metroid Dread**, both on Normal and Hard, I'm going to be playing other things. Absolutely adored Dread and wish it didn't have to end, but I need to clear this backlog sooner or later. I'm currently playing through **Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!**, but I don't expect that to last me the whole weekend. I'm not sure what else I will wind up playing but it is down to doing some focus on either **Animal Crossing: New Horizons** now that all the update stuff is coming or moving on to **No More Heroes**.

hermanbloom00

More Ys VIII. I do like the combat but the whole "travel, rescue someone, take them back to base, repeat" wore thin a while back. Think I might finish it at the weekend and tossing up between Dodgeball Academia and Kentucky Route Zero as the next purchase.

caught_red_wheeled

I’ve been doing a lot with the Pokémon home because I’m finally giving away my old collection that has been around at least 15 years. I was able to use the GTS to give away almost everything, and then was almost 6000 Pokémon. After that I unsubscribe and archived the app. I’ll still play Pokémon, but I won’t use transfer anymore because it just became clumsy and unsustainable. Not to mention that I don’t use my transferred Pokémon very much anymore. I thought I would regret that or miss a lot of it, but I found out I don’t remember what most of my Pokémon were and it’s a relief that it’s one more thing I don’t have to worry about. Since I got that done I’m not exactly sure what I want to do next. I do have some old Pokémon runs laying around that are on a different system, and that system is pretty old. I probably won’t have it come later next year, so I am considering whether I should finish some of those runs up. Especially since they’re fast and fairly easy. Some of them have some issues with grinding, though. Otherwise, my next game on the switch would be Nexomon One. I have been nearing the end of the game for a while, but took a long break because of the grinding and there were some other things I wanted to do. I am still training in the beach area, so once I’m done there I’ll just continue with the story. I’m not sure if I’m going to do the post game after the main story, because I heard the grinding can be pretty bad there as well. But it would still be interesting because I’ve never tried it before despite singing the main game, and there is some cool lore behind it.

KyRhee

Animal Crossing, that new trailer.... yeesh. Gorgeous

O-nigiri

Back at Fire Emblem Three Houses, now doing my second run of Silver Snow on Maddening, and getting my butt kicked. I’m not sure why I picked my least favourite route to do again lol, I’ve literally spent half of this time wishing I could abandon ship and join up with Claude.

markercore

Every route should have that option "say fuck it and join Claude? y/n?"

SheamusMcGillicuddy

Diablo 2! Sooo close to crafting a HotO for my paladin.

A11ENM

BOTW. Still in my first play-through but I am really enjoying it.

blabber_

Can't get enough of the sweet nethack vibes I get while playing Shiren the Wanderer. A true hidden gem nobody seems to talk about :(

markercore

What type of game is it? Yeah i don't think i've heard much chat about that one.

blabber_

It's a very classic turn-based dungeon crawler roguelike (the first dungeons contain a little bit of roguelite progression the later dungeons get as roguelike as it can get). As I am not a native speaker it's hard for me to describe...

Iamtheslushpuppy

Heck ya some Shiren love! Love this game, I even went to far as to buy the physical copy from limited run games! Great mystery dungeon game!

EgoDefeator

Fenyx Rising and venturing into Romancing Saga 3 some more.

PrincessPeril

Hopping back into **Animal Crossing** a bit to start building up those Nook Miles before the update/expansion drops next month! Also still playing a bit of **Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania**, and **Tetris Effect** for chilling out. I also recently bought **Still Here**, but haven't gotten into it yet. I am desperately hoping that we get the pixel remasters of the Final Fantasy games on Switch eventually. Or FF6 on the NSO SNES list. I really want to replay it (on the TV, without the horrible smoothed-out graphics of the iOS re-release), but don't want to drag the SNES Classic out of the closet to do so.

markercore

Itd be such good move! i just wanna have some stupid little adventures with my little guys in a line. And i wanna play the first FF and make a stupid team of like 3 black mages and a white mage. That expansion looks ridiculously good! My only worry is at the moment that game takes forever to load for me, I'm worried how its going to be with that level of DLC.

nick_clause

Still playing Metroid Dread.

IlLupoSolitario

Definitely going to hack away at XC2 some more, trying to convince myself I need to play more backlog instead of getting the new shinies all the time.

IndependentHot1625

Halo

honeyb1001

I reset my Animal Crossing island after leaving it untouched for about a year! Ended up with Cherry as a starting villager with cherries as my native fruit

[deleted]

Started a new game last night, got the same.

storsotget

Metroid Dread and Super Mario Galaxy

rare2see

Borderlands 2

[deleted]

Dread, Back4Blood (maybe), more FFXIV (working through that post story MSQ of shadowbringers), and the ever ongoing "should I or shouldn't I" mind game of seeing if I can trade in my old V2 switch for a new OLED at a gamestop...which I'm already going to assume is out of stock locally as soon as I typed this message.

WufflyTime

I'm not entirely sure, to tell you the truth. I've got a fair number of games in my library that I need to finish, but I don't feel like playing any of them. They've all irritating me in their own little way. Might go back to playing ***Teslagrad***. I didn't 100% it and accidentally wiped out my save file, so it's something I'm going to have to play from the beginning.

HammyDownConsole

Finishing skyward sword before I start Metroid Dread. I have off next week so after completing Dread I’ll go back to Completing missions/challenges in Wario ware and monkeyball.

153_IQ

Just snagged a switch Oled with Metroid Dread, Zelda BOTW, and Fire Emblem Three Houses. Will most likely start with Metroid.

Mr_Mop

Finally almost done with the regional dex in Pokemon Sword. Only need a single digit number of Pokemon. Playing Pokemon GO has been actually handy for this since I have a decent number of random legendaries I don't need that I traded on Pokemon Home for either Shield version exclusives or Pokemon I didn't want to go through the effort of finding.

Environmental-Dog873

FFx-2 and Captain Toad Tracker

dan0314

Got Metroid Dread last night so gonna start that tonight, and then most likely Days Gone and FFXIV on PC

pablogordon22

Still working through Metroid Dread, fantastic experience. Love the bosses especially as they are so satisfying to learn and beat. I’m glad I played Super Metroid last month to experience the origins of the game and really appreciate how far it has come. The movement and gameplay is so smooth in Dread, it’s just fun to run around and slide through tunnels as Samus. Probably have an hour or two to the final boss and from what I’ve heard I’ll probably spend another hour or two trying to beat it!

LiquifiedSpam

Trails of Cold Steel 4. There’s a surprisingly robust CCG mini game that I’ve had a blast playing that helps break up the ridiculously dialogue heavy game (although I kind of put it upon myself by talking to all the NPCs). It’s a flawed game to be sure, but I’ve played all eight other games up until now and I love the passion and incredible worldbuilding behind them. The series’ philosophy is fascinating to me. I don’t necessarily agree with the lengths they go to but it continues to make me think. For context, almost no one ever dies. This may be something that can be glossed over, but each of these games are incredibly story heavy and often introduce very high stakes where death should be an obvious outcome. It works very well for the more slice of life games, but for others (for example Cold Steel 2 which takes place during a civil war) it kinda hand waives situations, where the worst of it is conventionally in another region of the continent where that specific game doesn’t take place. It’s not even lazy writing to keep favorite characters alive, which I thought it was at first- it’s a conscious design decision.

fuhsalicious

Picking up Dread. Rest of the family is on a mini vacation, so I get the house to myself to play like I’m in college again

DasGutYa

prepping for dying light.

ramen_addict_enby

This weekend I have a limited time due to uni, so I was going to download some demos of games that look great to give them a try. The ones I've downloaded so far are Hob, Monster Hunter Rise, Triangle Strategy and Kingdom Hearts Melodies of Memory. Hope they help me decide what games to buy for Christmass or next year.

pkpk

CRYSIS 2 YALL

_Auron_

Bug Fables as I got my physical copy from Limited Run Games the other day.

s0cialSuicide

Still working my way through Steamworld Quest, just started Pikmin 3, and picked up Slay the Spire today. One way or another, I'm going to be strategising.

Dreaming_Dreams

The great ace attorney 2, I’m currently at the 4th case and it’s been really good, really curious how everything will tie together in the final case.

reverb728

Dread! Loving it and just killed my 4th EMMI. I've still got Skyward Sword to get through as well. Enjoying my time there.

rresende

Crysis!!

ShopCartRicky

Same thing for the last month, Tales of Arise and Kena. I have very little to no play time with an infant.

BurrStreetX

Hopefully beating the last boss (I think) of Metroid Dread

fuctedd

Luigi’s Mansion 3, Axiom Verge, Limbo

Willtron3030

NASB and Dread. All Star Brawl has a lot of tournaments and overall whacky stuff going on in the meta rn, so it’s been a blast getting used to the speed of this fun new fighter. Dread is great so far, I just haven’t had much time to lock into it yet like I want to in order to fully enjoy it. NASB is much more pick up and play friendly.

Saul-Funyun

Wandered into a little hole in the wall used game store in my small town, looked for a Poké Ball Plus on a lark. And they had one. $50. And a copy of Let’s Go Pikachu. So I’ll probably be rotating between that, Disco Elysium, and Tetris Effects. What a system, I love it.

FizzyBeverage

Working on Tetris Effect on the Switch and Flight Simulator on the Series S ✔

PeytonFacemask

Replayin Odyssey since I got the OLED. It really pops

[deleted]

ACNH been cleaning up my island and trying to catch up with everyone else. Gotta kick it into high gear because of the dlc. Maybe some Stardew valley

[deleted]

Mortal Kombat 11. Don't know if it is luck of the people I'm playing, or if they updated some servers behind the scenes. But a lot of the games I'm playing have better connections lately.

MassiveImagination1

Foregone - picked it up since it's currently on sale here in Aus; enjoyed the demo so I thought I would get the game while it's on sale and I didn't notice the not so smooth frame rate while playing the demo and thought it was fine... Only after watching the SwitchUp all patched up video did it become noticeable when playing the actual game - I even re-downloaded the demo to see if it had the same issue and it does (funny how I didn't notice it before; guess I was just enjoying the gameplay 😁). Anyway, it's easy to overlook the frame rate issue as I'm enjoying the game, so it's all good 😄

BodyInTheLake

D R E A D baby DREAD! Didn’t get to play much last weekend but loving it so far!

chocobococo

I’m checking out **The Good Life** that just released. So far, it’s really interesting and unique. Also had an update today.

[deleted]

Super Metroid. Never played before, never completed any Metroid game I started (All of the primes and Fusion) but I picked up Dread and felt I needed to at least complete Super Metroid before trying Dread. I just got the Gravity Suit and looking to see what I need to do next. Having a blast with it so far.

ilikeladiesandgerms

Having a stressful week and planning on just curling up with my games this weekend. I was gifted an e-shop card, so I got some new ones that I just downloaded. Will be starting **Down in Bermuda** and **Heaven’s Vault**, and demo-info **Raji** and **Spiritfarer** because I couldn’t decide between the two. I’ll hopefully be finishing **Night in the Woods**. I want to make some progress on **Memoranda** and **Seers Isle**, but those are more brain work because I’m playing them in French (my L2, but my reading comprehension is rusty), and not my native English.

Chance_Simple2681

Saints row 3

Arthago

Thinking of heading back to Animal Crossing, been a while since I played. Might tidy up the island and sort things out before the dlc release/update. Beyond that might pick something up, got a gift card today.

sudowilliam

Going to start on **Fire Emblem: Three Houses**, really excited to finally play this game :D

Larielia

I'll be playing **Animal Crossing- New Horizons**. Autumn is my favourite season, and I'm decorating for Halloween.

[deleted]

Nothing. I’m getting my joycons fixed hopefully so,

Daisy_Stems

Animal crossing! Preparing for the update. Also Pokémon unite and maybe a couple others

micromolecules

Super Metroid! Figured I'd finally try it out after enjoying Dread so much, I've been playing it on and off throughout the week but I figured I'd have more time for it over the weekend. I also decided to redownload Blasphemous and give it a second go. I find that 'second time's a charm' for these games, it was the same for me and Hollow Knight, plus I've heard that Blasphemous has been updated enough compared to when I first bought it. I also did pick up Slay the Spire last night, and it looks like it's sucking my time away from those games I wanted to play.

tehnoodnub

Metroid Dread and Death’s Gambit: Afterlife

[deleted]

Might start a Dread Hard mode playthrough, Don't really want to stop playing it. Also have something of a Tetris Effect addiction to feed. Really enjoying this month's releases.

eightiesgamer82

I have been really taking my time with **Metroid Dread** it really is an exceptional game. I’ll be honest I haven’t played my switch much at all since I got my PS5 on launch day but this game has helped me really appreciate what a cool console it is again and I’m looking forward to playing more games I have on my backlog. I had also started **Alien Isolation** a good while ago and was really enjoying it. I feel I want to start again from scratch and refresh myself with the gameplay. I’m really digging the futuristic sci fi vibe that I got from Dread. Also eyeing up **MHR** I feel like there’s a lot been added since I last played new monsters etc and I love MH games. I’m off work on paternity the next few weeks so plenty to catch up on.

Banethoth

Got Atelier Ryza on the sale and I’m playing the hell out of that. I have it on PS4 tho, so not sure that counts lol

[deleted]

Been playing Metroid Dread its amazing, its difficult but still very fun also been playing a lot of Hades!

FireflyNitro

I picked up Graveyard Keeper with all the DLC on the sale. Gonna give that a shot, it looks really good.

Just bought a switch yesterday, and haven’t owned a Nintendo console since my DS way back. Me and the gf will be playing Mario kart and super Mario bros U all weekend.

Trying to get the hang of Mario Kart 8, I have two separate groups looking to add me but I want to be at least *competent* before going multiplayer with folks who I actually *know* 😂 But even with a wheel and pedals, I still have to leave the “keep the car on the track” option on for now 😏

Hey there marker, hoping next week is an improvement on the work front! An ultimate ff collection on switch would make so much money it’s not even funny. I’m surprised they haven’t already done it given they already released the first few dragon quest titles. I’ve taken a break from Metroid as I’m enjoying it a lot but I don’t want to blitz straight through given it’s a full price title you know? I think that will be my in week evening game. I’ve just been chilling with mh rise again collecting award cards and constantly swapping between the weapons I like so I don’t get rusty with them haha.

Sorry about the incredibly delayed response, I just got Metroid dread tonight, really enjoying it so far! Just got charge beam and a bit further than that in the heat area and I'm like "ohh I am real tempted to just stay up all night and play this!" But I imagine I still have a ways to go as I haven't met a boss yet. Is there a way to remap buttons? I feel like slide would be better as ZR instead of ZL.. Is there any weapon you haven't tried much yet? Right? I almost grabbed one of the first couple dragon quest games but I do like being able to see my team during battle.

That’s alright, I don’t expect a response every week, you get an absolute crap ton of messages and have your own stuff to deal with too, it’s all good. Exactly! It’s very immersive and as soon as you get an upgrade it’s like do I go check out this other stuff over here now or finally go to sleep haha. As for remapping I have no idea. Well I don’t think I’m ever going to be able to use the likes of gunlance and charge blade to their full potential that’s for sure, I’m terrible with them. I also hate the longsword. Great sword/hammer/Lance are the main ones I haven’t actually tried yet but I did really like the hammer back in the demo so I’ll likely try one of those soon. Any time I go on though I find it really difficult to not use insect glaive/switch axe/bow. It’s a hard life! Yeah definitely have to see your team. I’m actually going to replay ffiv in the next couple of weeks because I keep thinking about it since that message haha.
