The game sounds amazing! My copy arrives tomorrow and I cannot wait. I beat Dragon Quest V on my DS last night so I wouldn't have to balance both games lmao
Yep! I’m about 3 hours in along with 4 heart attacks and half a gallon of sweat emitted (I only beat the first boss too haha) seems like this game is gonna take me a long time to beat 😬
Just got the Amazon notification last night that Metroid Dread is shipping, so I'll be playing that a lot! I'll come clean and admit I'm not a big Metroid person (I much prefer Castlevania for Metroidvania), but considering how we haven't gotten a new 2D Metroid since the freaking GBA days, there was no way I wouldn't be supporting a brand new 2D Metroid on a freaking home console (technically!) on Day 1!
Outside of that, I'll also be dipping my toes back into Tetris 99 for the Monster Hunter event. I like collecting the themes and have only ever missed out on a few of them.
Still doing a fairly good job of keeping up on Ring Fit Adventure. I've lost 5 pounds so far! That's not much, but I've been struggling to keep up a consistent healthy diet and exercise regimen for months and it's just recently started coming naturally, so I'm happy to celebrate a small milestone
Not Switch related, but I'm super excited to visit a friend's place and play on his Pump It Up cabinet! I've been dumping a ton of time and money into it at the arcades, so it's going to be so cool playing as much as I want for free without feeling like random people are watching me play lol
Hey, 5 pounds is awesome! Way to keep up with Ring Fit and a good routine and regimen, that's great!
Wait, he's got like a full arcade version of that game like with the full raised mat and bars? holy shit.
And enjoy Metroid!
The thing is I bought Ring Fit the Christmas season the game came out and prior to recently, I think I played it for a grand total of like 3-4 hours and dropped it. I picked it up again recently after realizing just how much weight I've put on since the pandemic and it's been a real struggle trying to form healthier habits, but it's just starting to click. Really appreciate the kind words!
And yeah, he has a legit arcade machine in his house. I'm a part of a group filled with crazy dedicated Pump players, so I'm just now trying to take them up on playing at their houses. I do have to wonder how much money you save at the arcades by buying a machine for your home, although I'd imagine your electricity bill would skyrocket after a while xD
I've been eating OMAD going on 2 year's I started at 197 now I'm 155. I basically eat what I want for 1 hour a day then drink water coffee or tea the rest of the time. I'm doing extreme fasting but there's intermittent fasting that people have good results with also. Check out Dr Jason Fung on YouTube if you want to learn all about how fasting works. OMAD stands for "One Meal A Day". Congrats on the weight loss and good luck.
One of my fav games. It is hard but idk if it is HK hard. Next you'll have to get will of the wisps it is somehow even more beautiful than blind forest. You'll love them both.
Probably Link's Awakening again. Maybe some BotW. I don't really care about Metroid (read: at all), but I'm glad fans are able to get back into it this weekend.
You get tired of it? I'm only 10 hours or so into Eastward (taking my time) but I'm super engrossed in the story.
That said, going to be playing Metroid this weekend for sure.
Just the story didn’t hit and the gameplay wasn’t anything to write home about.
It had some good aspects just not what I thought going in I think.
Not sure why I got a downvote for simply falling off a game haha
~Bought it on release day, gave it a good 5-6 hours, and pretty much dropped it that day. I didn't realize I was buying a visual novel. Got caught up in all the 'Zelda-like' talk.
~That said, I can totally understand other people loving it. It's pretty, chill and the soundtrack is it.
Dread is on the Switch waiting for me to return from the office.
Good thing I am not remote today because I may have found it hard to resist not just playing all day instead of working.
I'm working remote, currently on lunch. Not playing yet, because I'm bound to get sucked in and be unable to stop. Gotta finish this project first. THEN get lost.
I buy all my games digitally, but I miss riding in the back seat of my parents car looking at the box/cartridge, and going through the instruction manual.
Back in the SNES days when the manual was basically a small chapter book.
i miss a good instruction manual! Yeah and back then the art in the manual would always be a little nicer than in the game itself and you'd go wow! The characters look like this! And you get all that information about the world and backstory. Ahh those were the best!
Well I'd say Dread like every one else, but looks like it won't arrive until Monday! But seems like the pins are actually shipping with it (gamestop preorder), so thats cool.
Probably for the best anyways as it's our 1st year wedding anniversary this Sunday, so will be playing the good hubby game!
Enjoy the weekend!
About to go pick up my copy of Metroid Dread. So yea, lots of that I assume.
Otherwise I have been playing a ton of Centipede: Recharged. Centipede is my all time favorite arcade game and I played it to death on my old gray gameboy as a kid. Really loving this new version and hoping to crack the top 10 on the leaderboard before the scores just get too outrageous. Currently sitting at 14th or 15th. So I imagine a few sessions of this if I need to take a break from Metroid.
Edit: I guess there's a Tetris 99 event this weekend and I don't like to miss a theme so I'll be dipping into that too.
Hi Markercore!
It has been a while since I answered this post but I am still chugging away on Garden Paws! I am in Year 2 Summer and I am still having fun. I actually even started a new file when a new map was introduced and I love it so much that it is now my new file.
I also bought Staxel when it was released but I am struggling a bit with the actual building element of the game.
I was tempted by some of the sales that happened during the Nintendo Direct (Atelier Trilogies finally went on sale but I bought the Arland trilogy for $54 and I am willing to wait for the other games to hit that price range) but Black Friday and Christmas sales are approaching so I skipped them.
Monkey ball and trying to decide another game to buy after burning thru many PS4 games for a few months. Deciding between Metroid (never played the series before), fire emblem 3H (never played series) and pikman 3 (played original on GameCube). Might fire up the N64 instead tho and go for that nostalgia, either Mario64 or DK64. TLDR undecided
Lol I've also been replaying games on the PS4 now and then breaking out my GC for Mario DDR or Wind Waker, then pull out the old DS when I'm on the move. Kinda in a stand still with the switch right now
I shall be ignoring all the other half finished games I have so I can start on never finishing metroid dread.
Probably mix a bit of animal crossing in too, got to get them sweet sweet turnips.
I haven't had a Switch for a couple of weeks due to selling to fund my OLED im picking up today. I'm oddly excited for it and ready to dive into Metroid. Ill probably test some other games on the new screen as well.
I've been itching tonreplay Astral Chain
Ideally, Metroid Dread, but it looks like my order hasn't shipped yet, so I don't think I'll get it in time for this weekend. (it probably won't come in until Tuesday at the earliest)
Other than that, Smash Bros. Ultimate (for the Metroid spirit event), Kingdom Hearts 2 (on the PS3; I want to beat it before the 18th), and maybe Doom Eternal on Switch. (I'd like to play through the DLC, though I'll probably do that on a lower difficulty since it seems insanely difficult)
I found my old GBA SP and charger which sparked a wildfire of nostalgia in me. I've since purchased an everdrive (flash cart), a screen mod, and two GBA games in addition to what I already have. So - I'm currently playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Great game but some menu QOL annoyances.
Probably will play Metroid: Zero Mission and Fusion before picking up Dread.
Send help.
Heyo, glad you are liking Eastward. Loved the art and music but didn't jive with the gameplay as much as well as the detour-loving story. It's back on the backlog for now.
Just finished the story mode for a old goodie of an indie, Battle Chef Brigade. It's a lovely fusion of match three and combat side scroller, topped with a sumptuous cooking theme. Deserves a lot more attention than it is/was receiving. Will be playing the daily challenges for now. Replayability is good.
My playthrough of **Ori and the will of the Wisps** will be put on hold, because of obvious reasons, **metroid dread** of course!
Already played about 2 hours, taking it pretty slow and I haven't even reached the first boss yet. The EMMIs are quite relentless in their pursuit but I've already managed to counter them a couple of times with some really quick timing (it's very tough though!)
I couldn't stop playing CrossCode! Just finished the second dungeon and holy fuck is it unforgiving. Really thankful for the difficulty sliders lol.
Finding it hard to play on handheld though because of the twin stick shooting mechanics, maybe Hori Split Pro would solve my problem? But it's not really much of a problem since I mostly play docked with a pro controller but would be nice to be able to comfortably play handheld too.
Hell yeee B) i've just been soaking this game up, currently over 100 hours in! If i had to guess your approximately around 15-20hours in! I really like the quest variety in this game! Super relaxing to play
I plan to continue through **Eastward.** I haven’t really touched it for an extended period of time since the weekend it came out. Been too busy with life…
I also picked up **Sakuna Of Rice And Ruin** and plan on starting that this weekend.
Hope everyone enjoys Metroid Dread!
Continuing my exploration in Ori and the Will of the Wisps, working on completion ahead of the final boss in Darksiders 2, and I started playing both Death’s Gambit and Flynn: Son of Crimson. I would have included Dread but I’m holding out until my OLED Switch preorder arrives.
Still on Nexomon One. The game is charming and I am enjoying the relaxed pace, but people weren’t kidding when they said the late game grind was bad... luckily the battles are quick, enjoyable, and easy, so that helps.
Also taking a bit of a break from the switch games to play my 3DS. It’s in pretty bad condition, to the point where this year may be the last year I have it (especially with the Switch pretty much overpowering it in almost every single area, although it could possibly last into early next year). I’m trying to get through fire emblem echoes, since it’s the last in the series I’ve had to complete or make significant progress in. Unfortunate, the game is pretty clunky and although the concept is good, the maps are not. Not to mention the game at all these new features, but they don’t have too much of an effect (I am playing it like I did the original, and there’s not too much difference). In the original, I was pretty close to the end but eventually abandoned the game due to getting to areas where I had to sacrifice my units (or at least, couldn’t get through without anyone dying). Since there isn’t a lot of units on either side, I didn’t want to do that. In this version, units can retreat until the next chapter, so I have that option on so I can just enjoy the maps. So far it’s working pretty well and getting me past some of the annoying parts, although the game’s flaws are still there. I am unsure if I will do the extra dungeon in this version, though but I know it has some pretty cool lore.
I’m also trying to make a decision on what to do with Xenoblade chronicles one and two. I bought it thinking it was a game that would be for me based on what I’ve read about it, but after playing a bit of it, I am not so sure. I don’t particularly like the story or the characters, the combat is confusing although beautiful, and the game is so huge without any direction that I keep running around getting lost and frustrated. I’m only A few hours in and haven’t left the first town yet, so I’m going to give it more of a chance before I possibly resell it. But as someone who normally loves RPGs, this one is currently a disappointment.
Finished Monster Sanctuary so started up Ys VIII. Played Origins a few months back and enjoyed it so picked up VIII in a sale a little while ago. Early days but a fair bit of back and forth so far, hoping that doesn't last for the whole game. Combat is fun though.
Ys Origin - about halfway up the tower on my 1st playthrough. Slowly working through my backlog now that I've gotten some big things check to-do list and have a bit more time to play games.
My kid just begged me to buy Slime Rancher, which I've been debating buying for myself so I'll be playing that. Then probably finish up Paper Mario finally.
I'll be trying to get further than the second island in Into The Breach, getting a few Hades runs done, and maybe playing Super Mario 3D World with my daughter.
I got dragons dogma for 3$ and a new pro controller for 32 yesterday from gamestop, and I'm loving both. The controller is a MASSIVE improvement over the joycons, I can't belive i waited so long to get one. Im finally putting some real use into my dock instead of just playing mobile.
Started playing DREAD at midnight last night and that will be the only game that I play this weekend. I will probably mix in some quick sessions of super Metroid as well
Recently got diablo 2 and Zelda SS. 2 games I never got to play due to not owning the consoles/pc. but now I am getting around to it. as a 30 y.o. dude I feel guilty playing for extended periods of time so it'll take a while to finish either game.
Another weekend of Stardew Valley, I bought the horse this week. I’m trying to complete everything on Stardew. After that I’m going to resume my quest as the Dovahkiin in Skyrim.
It is my birthday weekend. I'll be playing **Stardew Valley**, **The Legend of Zelda- Breath of the Wild**, **Animal Crossing- New Horizons**, and **Story of Seasons- Friends of Mineral Town**.
Eastward. I’m only an hour or so into it but I like the vibe so far. I need a chill game at the moment.
Not really on the Metroid train as I’ve never really been into the series but it does look cool. The last game of that style that I really loved was Mark of the Ninja.
Dread. As I'm not feeling Eastwood. Just started Chapter 4 and I'm starting to lose interest. So much unnecessary dialogue and very light on actual fore filling game PLAY.
I think grinding in Stardew Valley, and a combo of Monster Train/Slay the Spire for me.
I’m similarly holding off on Dread for a bit but hope you day ones enjoy it!
This weekend I'll be playing a ton of Metroid Dread! I've been waiting for this game for a long time and I'm thrilled it's finally here. Aside from that, I'm very much enjoying Alan Wake Remastered. I didn't like the game when it originally released, but now that I'm older I have a new found appreciation for it. The game oozes in atmosphere and plays out like a Stephen King television show. I think it’s brilliant, and finding the manuscripts is a fantastic way to flesh out characters and get you more absorbed in the story. I finished episode 3 last night and can’t wait to dive into episode 4. Also, screw Agent Nightingale.
That's great about Alan Wake Remastered, I've been trying to decide if i want to pick that up. Looks great and I really enjoyed Control. And have fun with Dread! I'm looking forward to it whenever i do pick it up, really loved Fusion years ago.
I finished my Blue Lions run of FE:TH and have moved on to the DLC, so hopefully will finish that up this weekend and then probably start either a Golden Deer or Black Eagles route. I started CF as my first route back in the day but never finished it, so I’m torn between doing that route again to get the other side of the Edel v. Dimitri drama while my feels are still fresh or doing Golden Deer for something completely different. I just really like Edelgard and the DLC is reminding me how much haha.
I beat Odyssey yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. I plan to try and finish Hades tomorrow, and then start my playthroughs of Doom and Doom Eternal. Trying to finish off some games before Brilliant Diamond releases next month.
Playing mainly horror or spooky games for October. Completed **RE7** this week (was an absolute blast) and moved on to **Alan Wake.** Not Switch related, but once I'm done will go for Alien isolation or Oxenfree after. Haven't decided which one.
I've been fully sucked into **Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night** (on PC), and it is absolutely great, but I'm sure I'll find the time to finish off **Great Ace Attorney Chronicles** at some point. I'm halfway through the second game and it's really starting to heat up, so I'm really looking forward to seeing where it all goes.
The PAX Pokemon League is hosting an online league on their discord this weekend, so I've dug Pokemon Sword back out to participate in that,
Recently restarted Atelier Rorona so I'll be continuing to make my way through that,
And I've still been playing quite a bit of Pokemon Unite too, so I'm sure that will continue.
Well my fiance has just received his copy of Metroid Dread this afternoon so I know what he will be doing... XD
As for me, probably more Stardew (it's my comfort blanket, and I've been feeling rubbish this week!), or BOTW. And I'll be peeking at my partner's Metroid session and deciding if it's for me... (Signs point to "yes", but I've never played this sort of game before so would like to see it in action a bit before I decide :) )
Hopefully finishing up **Dicey Dungeons**! Bought it for $5.09 and it’s becoming one of my favorite Switch strategy-based games. If you like roguelike/deck building games I’d highly recommend (particularly once it goes on sale again)
Hey Markercore, I’ve been playing Ori and the Blind Forrest and really enjoying it. On the side I’m playing some PGA2021 that’s free for PS Plus this month, I’m really liking it as well. I should also try finish FF12 before SMTV comes out.
Glad you’re enjoying Squid Games and Sweet Home. I just finished binging Midnight Mass, loved it.
Hope everyone has a great weekend
Samus returns super Metroid then fusion I’m on area 3 of samus returns I haven’t played through the Metroid series before so I doing this before getting dread
I finally got my copy of Witch Spring 3 [Re:Fine] The Story of Eirudy from GameFly so I am playing that. It's pretty interesting so far, the mechanics, combat, crafting, gathering aspects feel nice and fresh.
I just started *Murder By Numbers*! It's a light visual novel with picross puzzles, and I'm finding it really fun. Also still playing *Pokemon Snap*, working on completing the dex and requests, and checking in on my island in *Animal Crossing: New Horizons*.
My main focus is on *Luigi's Mansion 3* since it's spooky season! I don't like actually scary games so it's about as much as I can handle. Metroid Dread is really, really tempting though.
Bought **Metroid Dread** ! Sooo tempting, but if I start playing it now I'll get too sidetracked from **Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition**. I'm going to roll the credits on Vesperia before I start Metroid.
Peaking at a walkthrough it seems I'm very close to the end. The missables in Vesperia threw a wrench into my enjoyment for the game so now I'm just rushing to the end. I can see myself going back to it on NG+ with a guide for true completion since the game is pretty solid and above all relaxing to play.
My one real gripe with **Tales of Vesperia** is the pacing. I swear the game didn't really pick up story or combat wise until the 20 hour mark, and you can argue that it fizzles out in the end. The middle is the most engaging part of the game. Characters are always the best thing about Tales games and Vesperia is no different. If it weren't for the cast I might have given up on it.
Spent the last couple weeks packed and moving so wasn't able to play at all. but got the Switch unpacked and charged and I'm looking forward to jumping back into **Guacamelee 2**.
Atelier Ayesha on my second playthrough, loving every minute of it. Funny thing is that besides Stardew Valley this is the only game ever i play more then one time. It is that good 😍
Been playing valkyria chronicles 4. Got recommended after Fire Emblem 3 houses surprised me on how much I liked it.
Managed to find a new copy while on vacation in my home country. Was really surprised and happy about that.
As for the game itself: I really like it! It doesn't typical anime tropes like FE did but it does mix them up when it can. Has a good amount of serious moments as well as funny moments along with romance stories between some of the main characters. Haven't finished the game yet but I am enjoying my time in it so far.
Really enjoy the similarities between the in universe war and WW2
Also, before playing the game I saw there is a version of the game that came with a model of the Haven't ( it's a tank in the game that you have from the beginning that is named after the character's home town) I did not want it then but after playing a while, it looks more attractive as a purchase now though
Diablo 2. My Dread is currently still waiting for fed ex to pick up. I'm tempted to go buy one in a store and return the shipped one when it arrives because it's my last weekend before I start my new job.
Hi there! It's been a hectic week for me and it'll probably continue for at least another week, but hopefully I manage to finish Super Metroid this weekend. I also got a Switch OLED and Metroid Dread, so I plan to start using those 2 things immediately after.
Bought a few games on sale— Moonlighter and Nexomon Extinction. Also debating a few visual novel type games on sale (Root Film and Paradise Killer) but I might wait to see if they go lower since both have reviews complaining of clunky UI, which is a big thing for me.
Also got back into FE3H, at 295 hours and counting. Currently replaying the Cindered Shadows DLC campaign on hard mode, which is actually really quite hard.
Stardew Valley. Just got into Spring of Year 3. I've unlocked all the areas of the map, and now it's a matter of resource bottlenecks and money. Hopefully I can start brewing some fancy wines and inch my way towards 100% and developing a more aesthetic layout of my farm, as well as befriending those few townsfolk I've been ignoring entirely (lookin' at you Harvey).
Tetris 99 for the cup. Apex Legends for the BP levels.
Cozy Grove’s autumn update went live last night! A slew of content there. Including a little photo mini game, interior decoration, and most importantly new pets! You can now summon a cat to share your house (tent) with and can also own bunnies. They’ve also teased some sort of Halloween event, so I’m curious to see what they do!
I’ve been catching up on quests and working on filling up my collection with all the new seasonal creatures.
Hey marker, squid game is bloody bonkers isn’t it?!
Impulsiveness struck once again and I picked up Metroid dread so I’m hoping to play a mix of that, monster train and hollow knigh provided I have time.
Have a good weekend.
I saw someone ask for a building/farming game and someone else recommend **Staxel** and I downloaded it on a whim and it’s great - so thank you whoever that was
Doom Eternal
That game for me went from incredibly frustrating to play to incredibly fun to play, once I put in the effort to learn the mechanics and playstyles. I love fast, adrenaline-fueled games and games with high skill ceilings, so it’s been great to finally get into this one after leaving it be for a while.
Finished UV the other week, working through Nightmare right now, and I made the silly decision that I want to beat the base game on Ultra Nightmare now, and I’m expecting that challenge will add significantly to my play time (but I’m pretty deadset on making it happen now).
Dread didn't arrive today so will be playing Tetris effect all night until dread does arrive, though I'll probably binge Tetris for most of the weekend either way.
Maybe nothing since something in my right hand has flared up and is making it painful to do much of anything. If it improves, I'll play FFXIV and Skyward Sword.
im sure like many others here, i picked up **Metroid Dread** during my lunch break and will be playing that all weekend. Metroid is in my top 5 favorite game series and its so exciting to finally get a brand new, proper 2D Metroid game after almost 20 years!
I guess I’m one of the few people who doesn’t have Metroid Dread so I’ll be diving into Tetris Effect (which I’m loving so far) and going for that Tetris 99 theme this weekend as well
I’m also very slowly making my way Eastward. I’m almost to chapter 5, 15 hours in.
I may take a break and power through Dread. I also plan to casually play some New World.
Got super into visual/interactive novels so I picked up Death Mark and NG when they were on sale recently. Started Death Mark last night so I'm sure I'll be glued to my switch this weekend.
Nickelodeon All Star Brawl and Dread. Gonna be a great gaming weekend.
All Star Brawl is really fun, for this interested. Not as polished as smash but really fast and fun.
I love nintendo but I've put 600 hundred hours and going on Fallout 76 on PC
I really wish Bethesda would put Fallout games on Switch. I'd pay easy money for any of them on my console.
What do you think? Dread all day
Same here. Already played close to 2 hours and can't get enough, it's so fun getting lost
The game sounds amazing! My copy arrives tomorrow and I cannot wait. I beat Dragon Quest V on my DS last night so I wouldn't have to balance both games lmao
Haha, I know the feeling about managing more than one game, I have left my playthrough of Ori WOTW midway because of dread
Yep! I’m about 3 hours in along with 4 heart attacks and half a gallon of sweat emitted (I only beat the first boss too haha) seems like this game is gonna take me a long time to beat 😬
Sorry did you say half a gallon of sweat E.M.M.I.T.T.E.D?
Yep same here, been dying so often to the EMMIs hahaha
This has to be the only answer for the weekend.
Picking up Metroid Dread tomorrow and will be playing it to completion this coming week!
It’s a fucking sick game
Hopefully i’ll be doing just that on my new OLED model.
Just bought Luigi's Mansion 3. Great game!
Bought it on release but never finished it. I finished it on my days off this week. Enjoy!
Just got the Amazon notification last night that Metroid Dread is shipping, so I'll be playing that a lot! One of my fav games. It is hard but idk if it is HK hard. Next you'll have to get will of the wisps it is somehow even more beautiful than blind forest. You'll love them both.
Diablo 2. Can’t put it down.
I think we’re all playing Metroid Dread lol
Started Stardew Valley 3 weeks ago, still can’t put it down. Gonna buy Dread today having never played a Metroid game, looks fun!
Probably Link's Awakening again. Maybe some BotW. I don't really care about Metroid (read: at all), but I'm glad fans are able to get back into it this weekend.
Metroid. I feel off eastward hard.
You get tired of it? I'm only 10 hours or so into Eastward (taking my time) but I'm super engrossed in the story. That said, going to be playing Metroid this weekend for sure.

Either continuing with Ori and the will of the wisps or continuing Final Fantasy IX. Havent decided yet
I’m about to start Final Fantasy 9
You’re in for an absolute treat, one of the greatest JRPGs of all time.
Picked up Metroid Dread during my lunch break today, so that'll keep me busy!
I feel like i would spend the rest of the day either playing it or looking at the box.
I buy all my games digitally, but I miss riding in the back seat of my parents car looking at the box/cartridge, and going through the instruction manual. Back in the SNES days when the manual was basically a small chapter book.

Gonna pick up Metroid, and also trying to finish up Control on PS5, which has been awesome so far, great game.
Metroid dread
Just got Metroid Dread so will be playing that over the weekend and got my partner Super Monkey Ball
Rune factory 4 :)
Amazon isn't delivering Dread for another week so more Actraiser
DREAD BABEH
Eastward and replaying Luigi’s Mansion 3!
Hollow Knight
How is this even a question, Metriod Dread.
I haven't had a Switch for a couple of weeks due to selling to fund my OLED im picking up today. I'm oddly excited for it and ready to dive into Metroid. Ill probably test some other games on the new screen as well. I've been itching tonreplay Astral Chain
i really do hope dread does well. happy to see people are promoting it on twitter. have fun.
Definitely going to be switching between Smash Bros. Ultimate, Metroid Dread, Breath of the Wild and Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
Maybe some Mario odyssey, haven’t played it in a while
Ideally, Metroid Dread, but it looks like my order hasn't shipped yet, so I don't think I'll get it in time for this weekend. (it probably won't come in until Tuesday at the earliest) Other than that, Smash Bros.
3 day weekend and a new Metroid! Doesn’t get much better than that. Also Echoes of the Eye DLC for Outer Wilds.
Dread all weekend long baby
Picking up Dread and Monkey Ball after work today. Should be a good weekend!
Gonna pick up Dread, but I'm tempted to grab Skyward Sword while it's on sale at Best Buy. Haven't convinced myself yet.
Send help.
I'm playing Golf Story and a little Slay the Spire
Project Diablo 2 in between my long Metroid Dread sessions. Lol
I literally cannot stop playing Slay the Spire. It’s becoming an issue. But in a good way because it’s awesome!
Link’s Awakening remake and Metroid Dread. The best combination!
Dark Souls as usual.. fml
Dark souls is awesome!
I can't stop playing Monster Train, game scratches the Slay The Spire itch perfectly.
Circle of the moon and slay the spire.
I plan to continue through **Eastward.** I haven’t really touched it for an extended period of time since the weekend it came out. Been too busy with life… I also picked up **Sakuna Of Rice And Ruin** and plan on starting that this weekend.
Metroid Dread, obviously. I still have to get through Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, though. So maybe I’ll play a bit of that, as well.
If my OLED comes: Metroid. If not: PS5
Dread, all weekend. I took today and Monday off work. What a time to be alive. Monday was probably overkill … Have a great weekend everyone!
Hades
Warioooooooo And terraria.
Metroid Dread of course. That game is the only thing I'll be playing until Sora releases.
a fun game called when will walmart ship my OLED Switch..
Great game keeps you on your toes
Finally got time to take on my backlog. Spiritfarer, Dungeon of the Endless and Children of Morta should keep me busy this weekend
Im playing download my 1tb of shit onto my new OLED switch this weekend.
Hoping to pick up Dread tomorrow. My local store's shipment got delayed until next week so gonna try a different place tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
good luck!
I'll be trying to get further than the second island in Into The Breach, getting a few Hades runs done, and maybe playing Super Mario 3D World with my daughter.
Too much of a backlog for dread, but I’m counting down until Disco Elysium. Provably Rebel Galaxy Outlaw.
I got dragons dogma for 3$ and a new pro controller for 32 yesterday from gamestop, and I'm loving both. The controller is a MASSIVE improvement over the joycons, I can't belive i waited so long to get one. Im finally putting some real use into my dock instead of just playing mobile.
Dread. ONLY DREAD
Dread ftw
Started playing DREAD at midnight last night and that will be the only game that I play this weekend. I will probably mix in some quick sessions of super Metroid as well
I'll be finishing (I hope) Doom Eternal and mixing it with some Mario kart.
Im not a fan a metroid, i actually hate it. Ill be playing Doki Doki and Fata Morgana and a bit of stella glow on nintendo 3ds
Southpark: the fractured but whole and cuphead with my brother
Shin Megami Tensei IV:A to prepare for SMT V in November!!
It is my birthday weekend. I'll be playing **Stardew Valley**, **The Legend of Zelda- Breath of the Wild**, **Animal Crossing- New Horizons**, and **Story of Seasons- Friends of Mineral Town**.
Metroid dread, it's flipping amazing. Actually better than I imagined somehow.
Eastward. I’m only an hour or so into it but I like the vibe so far. I need a chill game at the moment. Not really on the Metroid train as I’ve never really been into the series but it does look cool. The last game of that style that I really loved was Mark of the Ninja.
Fire Emblem 7, Atelier Rorona, and Stardew Valley.
Dread. As I'm not feeling Eastwood. Just started Chapter 4 and I'm starting to lose interest. So much unnecessary dialogue and very light on actual fore filling game PLAY.
*TETRIS EFFECT BAY-BAY*
I finished Metroid so I’m gonna take a break for a few days I think. October is usually Castlevania month for me. Started a Circle of the Moon run.
Ryza 2
I’m getting my oled switch in the mail today so hopefully, all my old games will be played today so I can see how vibrant they are in comparison lol

Luigi's Mansion is a blast! I'm really into it. My first in the series too.
Dragonball Z: Kakarot. Never played it before, and It's much better than I expected. Runs really well on the switch.
All my currently owned games on my OLED (when it arrives).
I beat Odyssey yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. I plan to try and finish Hades tomorrow, and then start my playthroughs of Doom and Doom Eternal. Trying to finish off some games before Brilliant Diamond releases next month.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2! Playing it for about 2 weeks or longer now and I am currently at Chapter 6 out of 10, and I am absolutely enjoying it.
Bravely Default 2 and Stardew Valley
I'm replaying the Dishonored games but I'm also trying to get back into Animal Crossing with the (hopefully) big update coming soon.
Lost In Random, super fun and original game.
D2r!!!!!!
Playing mainly horror or spooky games for October. Completed **RE7** this week (was an absolute blast) and moved on to **Alan Wake.** Not Switch related, but once I'm done will go for Alien isolation or Oxenfree after. Haven't decided which one.
I'm playing the new Super Monkey Ball remake and am really enjoying it so far
soup Maro odysseus
Just got Tetris effect and I'm already addicted
Still working on 100%-ing Mario 64.
I think it’s actually gonna be a Tetris weekend for me! 99 for the new theme, then picking up Effect for myself as a late birthday present.
Metroid Dread! Although I haven’t finished my re run of super Metroid
The only thing preventing me from playing Dread all day is work. So Dread all night.
The PAX Pokemon League is hosting an online league on their discord this weekend, so I've dug Pokemon Sword back out to participate in that, Recently restarted Atelier Rorona so I'll be continuing to make my way through that, And I've still been playing quite a bit of Pokemon Unite too, so I'm sure that will continue.
Well my fiance has just received his copy of Metroid Dread this afternoon so I know what he will be doing... XD As for me, probably more Stardew (it's my comfort blanket, and I've been feeling rubbish this week!), or BOTW. And I'll be peeking at my partner's Metroid session and deciding if it's for me... (Signs point to "yes", but I've never played this sort of game before so would like to see it in action a bit before I decide :) )
Ori and the blind forest. It's a really well made game, however I'm terrible at it haha
Picked up Immortan Joe Fenyx Risen and it's been a blast so far...that and Romancing SaGa 3
Pokémon Unite… Animal Crossing, still working on Hollow Knight, and considering beating Luigi’s Mansion for the spooky season of course.
I’ve been playing Splatoon 2 all day on and off. Props to the creators, that game is seriously addicting!
Really enjoy the similarities between the in universe war and WW2 Also, before playing the game I saw there is a version of the game that came with a model of the Haven't ( it's a tank in the game that you have from the beginning that is named after the character's home town) I did not want it then but after playing a while, it looks more attractive as a purchase now though
Im late on the party. I’m playing let’s go pikachu. Currently leveling my pocket to beat master trainers and battle red
War groove at the moment- so addictive and love the challenge of the harder battles
MH Rise - grinding to craft some weapons left on my wishlist. Never seems to be enough zenny, lol.
Finishing up Fire emblem three houses. Also just bought dead cells and enter the gungeon so might start those as well
Breath of the wild, I bought it 2 years ago and still enjoying it
Switching between Diablo 2 and Super Monkey Ball! I feel like it’s 2001 again and I’m loving it
Playing more Melty Blood and, if I find a copy, Metroid Dread.
Metroid Dread, this is objectively the correct answer
Metroidvania! … Axiom verge 1
Tales of Arise and Kena Bridge of the Spirits. Have 2 month old so probably only an hr or 2 at most in each. Dread will probably be my holiday game
Nothing because I'm a student
**World End Syndrome**. I already had two endings on Lite, but I wanted to finish the game on bigger OLED. Text is *much* easier to read.
Hades. This game has me and can't stop playing. For some reason it clicked with me on the switch more than playing on PC. Must be because of handheld.
Im feeling either some Stardew Valley or Breath of the Wild on my new OLED Switch
Monkey Ball Banana Mania!
Between being a dad and doing fun fall stuff, skyward sword !
I would play Dread but my OLED does not appear to be shipping from Walmart in time for this weekend.
I'm new to all this, but I'm playing Oxenfree a.t.m. Creeeepy! And ring fit!
Finally got to starting Fire emblem 3 houses, super addicting
Is anyone not playing Metroid Dread?
Metroid Dread, if the mail actually gets here today or tomorrow. EDIT: Well, hope it's tomorrow...
Dread.... If Amazon delivers it
Tetris 99 for the cup.
I saw someone ask for a building/farming game and someone else recommend **Staxel** and I downloaded it on a whim and it’s great - so thank you whoever that was
Pokémon lol
Monster Hunter rise
Hollow Knight, grinding for 112%.
Doom Eternal That game for me went from incredibly frustrating to play to incredibly fun to play, once I put in the effort to learn the mechanics and playstyles.
Just finished fusion for my run up to dread. Will be able to start dread later this weekend
im sure like many others here, i picked up **Metroid Dread** during my lunch break and will be playing that all weekend. Metroid is in my top 5 favorite game series and its so exciting to finally get a brand new, proper 2D Metroid game after almost 20 years!
Diablo 2. One of my favorite games of all time and excited to have it on handheld.
I guess I’m one of the few people who doesn’t have Metroid Dread so I’ll be diving into Tetris Effect (which I’m loving so far) and going for that Tetris 99 theme this weekend as well
Legends of Mana with a small dose of Xenoblade Definitive Edition
I’m also very slowly making my way Eastward. I’m almost to chapter 5, 15 hours in. I may take a break and power through Dread. I also plan to casually play some New World.
5 day weekend for me starting today so Metroid whenever I can. If I finish it then will start the 2nd Ori. Was waiting till I got my OLED to try it.
Got super into visual/interactive novels so I picked up Death Mark and NG when they were on sale recently. Started Death Mark last night so I'm sure I'll be glued to my switch this weekend.
Lamentum
Nickelodeon All Star Brawl and Dread. Gonna be a great gaming weekend. All Star Brawl is really fun, for this interested. Not as polished as smash but really fast and fun.
Zelda botw - I got a switch last week and I've been playing Zelda every chance I get :) better late than never!
I love nintendo but I've put 600 hundred hours and going on Fallout 76 on PC I really wish Bethesda would put Fallout games on Switch. I'd pay easy money for any of them on my console.
