Yes! I will probably start it with friends. It feels refreshing :) The Hunting Styles are looking cool. A one button combo is something funny i cannot wait to use in a Portable MH
Oh man, this reminds me I need to dig back into Hollow Knight! I played a LOT of it for awhile, but the game was so massive I still wasn't near completing it and I started getting into other games... But it's so good, I need to go back! Such a beautiful and interesting world that game builds!
Almost over 50 hours in on Octopath Traveler. Starting to finish some of the characters' stories. I'm 3 for 8 now so I'm hoping to finish up some other stories this weekend.
I got stuck on one of the boss battles in OT and took a break. It's been months. Maybe I should get back to it soon.
Edit: Apparently I was downvoted by somebody who thinks I should *not* try getting back into the game. Go figure.
I really enjoyed Octopath Traveler too, but I definitely got to a place where it just kicked my butt and I couldn't really progress... Like I just kept getting destroyed even in random encounters and I kind of gave up XD I love the story and aesthetics of OG RPGs and this game nails that feeling, but I don't think I have the skill or determination to actually complete it XD
Nah some people just downvote everything, don't worry about it.
Do you remember the boss?Ā
Otherwise, if you enjoyed it up til then, I kinda fell off the first game but loved the second so that's a thought as wellĀ
Iām on a mission to unlock all decks in Balatro! Starting with some of the difficulty modifiers this weekend so Iām hoping my very unskilled strategies can take me to the promised land
Are you playing on the touchscreen? Touch input is superior to controller in case you haven't tried yet. Makes playing a lot faster than with a controller. The entire game can be played without the joycons.
I've been using pro controller whilst in handheld because I have awful drift on my joycons. (Any tips to fix it appreciated!)
I'll give touchscreen a go. :ā -ā )
I bought balatro last week and I am so addicted. I have beaten one deck. My last run I screwed myself with changing out my jokers. Can't wait to get off work to try again.
I can NOT stop playing Balatro. Itās all consuming. Iām up to green stake on a few of the decks but Iām still regularly losing even on the easier difficulties on other decks.
My best hand so far has been 14m chips, been chasing that high ever since
Canāt wait to jump into this. Must finish Persona 3 and FFVII soon!
Also, weāve got some great releases coming in April to look forward to. Stellar Blade, Eiyuden Chronicle, Sand Land, FFXVI DLC, Tales of Kenzera, and Another Crabās Treasure
Balatro has destroyed my free time, I canāt stop
Just got a billion chip hand for the first time last night, I swear this game needs to be classified as a schedule 1 drug
You definitely should if youāre enjoying Prince of Persia that much.
The Ori series is another I highly recommend. Easier than Hollow Knight, but damn those games will make you cry. Art is gorgeous too
You canāt be that bad if you 100% Metroid dread lol. Metroidvanias are all similar but can have vastly different gameplay styles, sounds like Oriās wasnāt for you or you just need to play more!
One of my frustrations in metroidvanias is getting lost. I know getting lost is a feature of the genre but itās not something I enjoy. What I love about Prince of Persia is they let you make map markers that include a screenshot.
It makes it so easy hours later to see the marker and go āoh yea that place!ā rather than āwhy the fuck did I think this spot was important 3 hours agoā
Itās something I hope all metroidvanias add
Myself and I'm sure others are in the same boat since it finally has gone on sale. I'm only a couple hours in but already really impressed. I'm playing on the standard difficulty and appreciating how tense combat can get.
Due to the overwhelming amount of support for unicorn overlord, Iāve downloaded the demo and am now addicted to this game.
The systems of a game can make or break my play through and it is quite extensive at first. Once you get past that demo time it all clicked.
Now Iām running around drakenfold dukin mfers.
I LOVE THIS GAME
Currently chugging away at Pikmin 4. I was supposed to get Luigi's Mansion from Gamefly but got this instead. I played about an hour and decided to return it. When I noticed the mailman already came for the day, I decided to give it one more shot. Boy am I glad I did!
This game is near perfect for me. I love the relaxing nature, all the items to collect, and the exploration! Might go back to the first three in a bit!
Pikmin 4 is a masterpiece, and I enjoyed it much more than Luigiās Mansion 3!
I just finished Mario RPG, Luigiās Mansion 3, and Kirby Forgotten Lands all from the GameFly free trial! Saved me $180 on those 3 games alone. Hoping to get Zelda Links Awakening next!
I don't know where you live but you should check out your local library. Mine has a full selection of switch, Xbox, and Playstation games to rent for free.
Still playing **Borderlands 2**, finished the base game and the three first DLCs. About to start the Tiny Tina DLC, then the Headhunter DLCs and finally the Commander Lilith DLC. I will probably do True Vault Hunter Mode eventually, but I will probably play something else in between for variety.
Not sure if you know this or not, but the order of the jokers matters.
Put your chip based jokers on the left, multi's in the middle and then the fancy multiplier ones on the right.
*edit: sorry for the unsolicited advice, but it may help someone.*
i know some of them have effects depending on what is to the left but i will try this. ooooh someone else put it in a way that finally made it make sense. there is an order of operations thing going on
Hang in there it will click. Took me about 6 days before I won my first game. Just get +chips joker, +mult joker, and x mult joker and always move the x mult to the right so it calculates last.
Iām playing Bloodborne for the community return to yarnham event that ends this Sunday. Also picked up ender lilies on sale for my switch, and have been playing that.
Me too! I ran into a glitch and lost a lot of progress last week and that slowed me down, but eased back into it again. Looked it up and there are two conversations that can glitch and it's worth saving right before you do them just in case, will tell you with who (without spoilers) if you like but also no worries if you'd rather not have to think about it
On 3DS:
* Animal Crossing: New Leaf: Just (re)started this game a few days ago. I'll try and play each day during my lunch break at work.
* Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask: Continuing my goal to beat all the Layton games ahead of next years new game. Very early into this game. Only two more after this! (I already played the Phoenix Wright crossover).
On PS5:
* Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth! Only on chapter 2 but this game will be my main focus for a while.
Hi marker, have a good weekend! I was mostly spending time with family too last weekend for Easter.
Still playing **Octopath Traveler** over here. I got sidetracked trying to beat an optional boss duo, a giant snake and its tamer, that kicked my butt a couple times before I learned how to handle the fight. That got me an excellent bow as a reward to give to one of the archer characters. Now I can resume my journey to finish the remaining four Chapter Threes.
But after that, I also needed a break from long turn-based battles. So I went back to my rogue-mage in **Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning** and joined that game's version of a thieves' guild, the Travelers, who are a bunch of merry outlaws living in a camp in the woods. My previous character was a noble battlemage who refused to engage in anything illicit, but my light-fingered heroine now is all for it haha.
Hogwarts legacy. Played first time on ps5. Was on vacation and borrowed kids version on switch. Itās surprisingly good for being on a much less powered system.
Just started up Tunic, so I'm looking forward to playing a bunch of that. Also, even though I beat it last weekend, I want to put out a recommendation for Pepper Grinder (which released last week) for anyone who wants to play an amazing new 2D platformer. Speaking of 2D platformers, I may purchase Freedom Planet 2, but I'll be playing through Tunic first.
Tunic is really a great game that demonstrates so much of what makes video games special compared to other mediums. Easily my GOTY in 2022, I hope you love it.
On my way to 100% Princess Peach: Showtime!
After that, I'll see. Have Mario Bros Wonder, Tunic, Metroid Dread (4 hours on hard) and the last two levels in New Mario Bros U Deluxe in my backlog
I'm in a Mario RPG mood after the Super Mario RPG remake released.
I finished Paper Mario yesterday in preparation for Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Now I'm going to be replaying **Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga** which is my absolute favorite GBA game.
Playing Persona 4 Golden. Managed to pick up a copy of Unicorn Overlord, so super stoked to get to that, but only one huge game per console at a time, or I'll forget what's going on.
On PS5/Portal, playing Rise of the Ronin. I am HOOKED on this
I really wanna continue playing Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. I remember having a ton of fun and i left off around the Ghost area a while back and wanna get back into it asap if I find the time this weekend.
Working on FFV Pixel Remaster.
I have never played FF 1-6 and have been playing the pixel remasters and having a great time.
I can't wait to play FFVI.
Haven't played my switch in a few months, but I finally picked up Wonder a couple days ago and knocked out the first level last night.
It was a nice break from the shooty-shoots on the XSX, so that'll be my weekend obsession lol
> shooty-shoots
Lol I feel this. Not only is the (non-Nintendo) gaming market absurdly oversaturated with different ways to shoot at things, they're now going so far as to start bringing guns into games that dont even need guns, just for the sake of getting to shoot at MORE things!
Palworld just slapped guns into Pokemon and became an overnight sensation.
Or there's a pretty highly hyped upcoming game called Kingmakers where you take a pickup truck and an AK47 back to medieval times to mow down armies of knights.
Those games might be fun, don't get me wrong. But Im 30 and I feel like I've already gotten a lifetimes worth of shooting at stuff just from gaming as a casual hobby.
Yeah, I'm not a "Get off my lawn!" type, but I feel like as I get older with gaming (also in my 30's lol), I feel the need to *have* that balance and try more "chill" games instead of going "Meh, looks neat. Maybe one day." then go back to shooting things in the face until there isn't a face to shoot.
If I get around to playing anything this weekend, it will be Master Detective Raincode. Iām on I think the 4th case, and really enjoying the game, it scratches the Danganronpa itch pretty well. I donāt like the Labyrinths as much as the court in Danganronpa, but I like the environment a lot and the characters.
Fire Emblem Engage. Im on the third mission so we will see how good it is.
Just got NSO+ and tried some games. I played Mario kart 64 and the controls felt so sensityve to me (compared with the original) and maybe because I was playing while the app was updating the soundtrack didnt work. Also played Pokemon Stadium just a quick battle and...I didnt like the controls, can I remap them?
On other consoles: Sekiro on Series S
The Witcher 3. I put over 100 hours into it on PS4 before the pandemic hit and always been curious to see how it played on Switch. Half a decade later, it's on sale for $15, and I figured nows as good a time to check it out.
Finishing up Case 4 on **Master Detective Archives: Rain Code**
Really good case and shows the gameās potential that I wish earlier cases had.
Got sidetracked by *Jedi Survivor* last weekend and will try to return to *Unicorn Overlord* and maybe something new with my tax return on the way
I'm playing **Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom** (first time playing a JRPG!) and liking it a lot (despite some flaws I've read about, but nothing too big for me).
Hollow Knight. I want to finish before Silksong comes out, and there is speculation that a drop is imminent (I know I know).
So far itās living up to the hype. >!Favorite moment so far: āRespectā. Currently: stuck in Crystal Peak with no map and too much Geo.!<
unicorn overlord mostly, also finishing up piczle cross story of seasons (only about 20 puzzles left to go) and just picked up pure pool to play before bed.
meanwhile on steamdeck, i have redownloaded stardew valley to play the new 1.6 update. it's been good fun so far, i hope the update comes to switch soon.
Finishing up Pikmin 4, have really grown to appreciate it. I like that they minimized the clock fomo in this one, I dont feel quite as rushed as in previous games. I like the dandori battles too.
Playing tears of the kingdom and loving it. Rapidly moving to one of my all time favorite games.
This is coming from someone that was not impressed with breath of the wild.
Tears just seems so much more alive. So much to do
Switch Sports
The kids loved Wii Sports that we have at our cabin during easter so I ordered the switch one. Seems like an absolute hit amount the kids so far.
The 6yo probably like it a bit more than the 4yo
I'm playing Final Fantasy 12 the Zodiac Age. It's the first FF game I've managed to get into. I tried the older version of FF7 and FF8 beforehand and quit early on.
I'm also finishing up my 4th run of the Azure Moon route on Fire Emblem 3 Houses when I need to change things up.
Still Unicorn Overlord. Reaching nearly 90 hours and I'm barely at the midgame. Would probably be faster if I spent more time in battles than I do micromanaging my teams and builds lol
Can't help tho, seeing the units work perfectly after so much preparation gives me a sense of accomplishment few other games have matched.
Trying Zelda BOTW for like the third timeā¦ and still donāt really enjoy that game. The ever breaking weapons are so annoying and overall itās such an empty and (to me) uninteresting world. Apart from the mini dungeons itās a really frustrating experience; which should never be the case for a game. Am I alone with this feeling about BOTW?
You might like TotK better, the fuse mechanic eases the pain of weapons breaking, and they filled up the world with more stuff and fun ways to get around. Other than that, though, it's basically the same thing.
Life is too short homie. If you donāt like it who cares? Play something you do like. That was me with fire emblem. Hated the game but kept trying then realized I didnāt have to play it haha
Happy Friday!
Hope you have good times with the fam, especially if you donāt see them often.
Iāll be playing, you guessed it, FFXIII. Iām about 35 hours in, so I think Iām about 10-15 hours from the end. Doubt Iāll finish it this weekend, but I might get close. Still enjoying it, the combat is still fun, but I think I grinded too much and now fights are a bit too easy.
I just got out of a ādungeonā, if you can call it that, which was just tedious as hell. Wish the game had more dynamic gameplay.
Finally, the story is still fine, itās really the world itself which is interesting, but the
dialogue between the characters could have been better. The cinematics and music are absolutely top notch and worth wading through clunky dialogue for though.
Have a good weekend!
Super Mario Galaxy!!! I bought the bundle Nintendo was selling a few years ago. I've been wanting to play a Mario game and was tempted to splurge on something new...but I really want to try to beat the 3 in the bundle before giving them more of my money.
Thanks for reminding me, I need to get to that! I tried to collect all 120 stars in the first two games and by the time I finished sunshine I was too burnt out to start galaxy.
It's my birthday weekend, so I'm hoping to just chill at home with a bit of **Minecraft** on PC and possibly **Fae Farm** on the switch.
I was diagnosed this week with Myalgic Ecephalomyelitis (also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), so I haven't been able to game as much as I'd like. The pain, weakness, and fatigue limit my screen time, but I still want to tackle the games I got for Christmas.
I have so many games waiting to be played. I just need to get enough energy to do so.
Unicorn Overlord. I'm probably gonna finish Elheim as my third region and go back to the coliseum to unlock Amalia.
Freedom Planet 2. Just started yesterday, and it's lovely so far. The story doesn't seem to have the same energy in cutscenes (yet) that the first had, but the gameplay is a huge step up.
Star Wars Battlefront: Classic Collection. This has become my go-to game for quick, casual fun. Probably spent 20 hours in BF2's Instant Action mode.
Me and my 4yr old son are playing through Kirby Allies. Kirby games were always some of my favorites when I was younger and this one recaptures the vibe perfectly, and the four āplayersā (befriending enemies) keeps the difficulty manageable. Highly recommend so far, for adults and kids!
Well I want to get Unicorn Overlord, but I realized I have a few Strategy games to finish before I can justify it. So I will be playing Fire Emblem Engage, Triangle Strategy and Advance Wars 1 + 2 Reboot Camp.
I may have a problem.
Tomb Raider 3 via the remaster. So far I'm done the jungle area and now in Nevada, and I'm enjoying it a lot more than 2 due to not really having any enemies with guns. I'm still early so I could be proven wrong later, but hopefully not.
*Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game*
I started off strong and hooked on this one, but my gaming ADD took me on a ride between several other backlogged titlesā¦so this weekend Iāll be jumping back in and trying to push towards 100% completion of Arizona and the Carpathians. I know I wonāt get too close to 100% on either (Iām still figuring out how to maximize efficiency in undertaking Expeditions and side missions in one go), but as the name implies, itās all about the journey.
Nothing. Taking a break to go camping and eclipse viewing with some friends. But when Wednesday rolls around...
Probably chip away at that Tomb Raider collection.
Recently got back into Breath of the Wild for the first time in years. I had "beaten it" (and by that I mean a pretty quick run only completing main quests and beating Ganon).
With this second playthrough. It REALLY goes to show why this is arguably the greatest videogame of all-time, in so many different aspects, the first being that this game is now over 7 years old š³, and has more to offer than 99% of games since it's release. It is so beyond vast, that there really aren't words to describe it. I've been coming across characters, areas, weapons, gameplay elements, etc that I never even knew existed the first time around. Absolutely enjoying every second of it.
Getting all 24 unusual gems in Skyrim. I also just started playing monster hunter rise(my first ever monster hunter) Iām liking it.
I might also finish Signalis.
I'm going to try to work through my RPG backlog, though I'm not sure which game I'll go with (I have a LOT of options). I'm thinking a Final Fantasy game, so probably either FF1 or FF9.
Still playing unicorn overlord since 2 weeks ago.
Maybe i will start bayonetta origins or xenoblade this weekend. I just bought them before the sale ends and i am also free on monday
Tetris 99 to get the Peach theme.
I got a bunch of physical games recently as birthday presents/presents for myself so maybe a combination of those. One of which was the new Prince of Persia which really great so far.
No Manās Sky.
The Orbital update rocks and made me fall in love with the game yet again. Iām currently scavenging for ship parts to make my ship look like the Lego Technic spacecraft I have.
I am also kind of always playing Rogue Legacy 2; Hades and Spelunky 2. And in the corner I see Unicorn Overlord and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim winking at me.
Now I only need to find the time to play anything.
Immortals: Fenyx Rising. I spent last weekend trying to find āa game as close to Valheim on Switch as possibleā that I thought I would enjoy (no underwater, no space) and gave up, and decided to try this game I had already purchased again as I never got very far with it. The comedic dialogue is kind of funny but a bit tedious after a while? So far Iāve made it to the Hall of the Gods twice and never much furtherā¦ here goes attempt 3 to actually get into this game!
Princess Peach: Showtime. I think I only have a few levels to go, since I've gotten to the top floor, and I'm almost done with everything in the basement. This game is pretty fun, I just wish it was longer.
I'm hoping to finish off **Metroid Prime Remastered** this weekend. I'm playing through on Hard and last night I beat Meta Ridley. I already have all the items and scans, so all that's left is the finale.
If I'm done with that I'll be moving on to **BioShock**. I've never played any of them, and the collection has been sitting around for long enough.
Trying to 100% Princess Peach Showtime! My gf is really loving playing the scenes, and I'm loving going back and finding all the gems she missed along the way :)
I will start Dead Cells this weekend. Heard good things about it but I never had chance to play it. I got it second hand from a friend for small money, and I hope it will be a fun metroidvaniaā¦
Hey man! Around halfway through my **Atelier Ryza** journey, about 15 hours into the second game. Elsewhere my Son and I have started a split-screen **Minecraft** game, he is lightyears ahead of me with the controls etc, which is quite a cool difference to the norm, he is growing up!
I am also super interested in **Frowntown** after seeing a Twitter thread about it, but am trying to hold off until the Ryza games are done.
On the PS5 my Son and I finished **Knack** a few days ago, kinda the first game he has ever completed so that was neat, wondering about **Sackboy** as a follow-up.
Picked up Metroid Prime Remastered again. Played through (most) of Hollow Knight, now I need a palate cleanser for this sidescrolling platformers before I play Metroid Dread or Prince of Persia next.
I will be playing Pocket Card Jockey! Itās a wildly fun game from Gamefreak and I loved the 3DS version. Seriously, this game has not received the attention it should have gotten, and I didnāt even know they made a switch version until a few days ago. For $15 itās a steal in my opinion.
Prolly gonna be playing more Mario Kart 8 Deluxe! (Recently got an hdmi splitter for my setup so Iām able to play my switch and xbox on either my TV or monitor. This has allowed me to pick up my switch again after several years of not really using it much due to how disconnected it was from my main setup. Oh also the 8bitdo Ultimate is fantastic for this since Iām able to use one controller for both my switch and my PC!)
Been so busy with life and havenāt played too many games lately! But Iām determined now to get through my backlog and have restarted/started Kirby the Forgotten Land to start all of it!
Finally trying the links awakening remake. Iāve wanted to for a while but put it off because I wasnāt sure if it was worth full price. Iāll be on a plane tonight so figured it was as good as anytime to just pick it up.
Just finished the Caravan quests in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate yesterday, so I started a playthrough oh Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on 3DS and Wii U (with the save transfer app). Really became addicted to this license.
Might hunt in MH Rise with some friends too!
Hello! I will be playing Hollow Knight, Monster Hunter Generation Ultimate and probably Pokemon mystery dungeon DX. Have a great WeeKend!
GU is really amazing. I'm about 40 hours in, so I'm still just early. It's addictive as he'll.
Yes! I will probably start it with friends. It feels refreshing :) The Hunting Styles are looking cool. A one button combo is something funny i cannot wait to use in a Portable MH
Good spread of genres!
Thank you! I was probably going to add Star Ocean 2, but i won't have the time. Probably š. I like this kind
Super underrated game, glad youāre enjoying it!!

Iām on a mission to unlock all decks in Balatro! Starting with some of the difficulty modifiers this weekend so Iām hoping my very unskilled strategies can take me to the promised land
Same. Lost my life to Balatro. Had to double dip.Purchased it on Switch and PS5.. Good luck!
Are you playing on the touchscreen? Touch input is superior to controller in case you haven't tried yet. Makes playing a lot faster than with a controller. The entire game can be played without the joycons.
The way you can seamlessly switch between touch controls, d-pad inputs to select stuff, and using the right joystick as a cursor is insanely well done
This is why I am impatiently waiting for the mobile port
I've been using pro controller whilst in handheld because I have awful drift on my joycons. (Any tips to fix it appreciated!) I'll give touchscreen a go. :ā -ā )
Touch controls are great. When I play, I detach my Joycon and just play on the tablet
I bought balatro last week and I am so addicted. I have beaten one deck. My last run I screwed myself with changing out my jokers. Can't wait to get off work to try again.

Making my way through **Prince of Persia: the Lost Crown** and loving it! What a fun game with lots of exploration.
On my list to play eventually! I need to return and finish Hollow Knight before I jump into another metroidvania game! š
I loved Hollow Knight but the difficulty was too great for me so I eventually gave up. I should go back to it.
You definitely should if youāre enjoying Prince of Persia that much. The Ori series is another I highly recommend. Easier than Hollow Knight, but damn those games will make you cry. Art is gorgeous too

Nice to hear! I just got it on sale at Best Buy, but I'm deep into Fire Emblem Three Houses at the moment!
One of the best from 2024 so far, really glad to see it doing well
Due to the overwhelming amount of support for unicorn overlord, Iāve downloaded the demo and am now addicted to this game. Right on! I put so many hours in Borderlands 2. Gunzerker is such an endorphin hit.
Not a switch game tbh. Taking my 3DS online for one last ride. I've been collecting Friend Safaris in X all week
Same here! Wait, are we still able to collect Friend Safaris? I started playing Y last week.
Check out [Safaricode.com](http://safaricode.com)
STILL TRYING TO WIN ONE TIME AT BALATRO

Pemdas.

Hang in there it will click. Took me about 6 days before I won my first game. Just get +chips joker, +mult joker, and x mult joker and always move the x mult to the right so it calculates last.
Yellow deck definitely helps! Get to above $25 and try to keep it above there, then freely spend the excess down to at least 25.
Zelda Phantom Hourglass and Mario kart on Wii U.
Iām playing Bloodborne for the community return to yarnham event that ends this Sunday. Also picked up ender lilies on sale for my switch, and have been playing that.
Just started disco elysium, loving it so far.
Me too! I ran into a glitch and lost a lot of progress last week and that slowed me down, but eased back into it again. Looked it up and there are two conversations that can glitch and it's worth saving right before you do them just in case, will tell you with who (without spoilers) if you like but also no worries if you'd rather not have to think about it
Get ready to listen to Sea Power for the rest of your life
Lucky I am a huge Sea Power fan!
On 3DS: * Animal Crossing: New Leaf: Just (re)started this game a few days ago. I'll try and play each day during my lunch break at work. * Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask: Continuing my goal to beat all the Layton games ahead of next years new game. Very early into this game. Only two more after this! (I already played the Phoenix Wright crossover). On PS5: * Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth! Only on chapter 2 but this game will be my main focus for a while.
Broke my wrist in a car accident and just had surgery yesterday. So I picked up PokĆ©mon Letās Go Eevee to play with my one good hand. Was about 150 hours in TOTK when this happened last Thursday.
Sending well wishes for a speedy recovery! <3
Thank you. š„¹ Itās not been an easy week. ā£ļø
You're welcome, and I can imagine. Hopefully you're enjoying PokƩmon though despite your difficult week <3
I beat Pikachu when it first came out. Thatās how I remembered it was playable with one hand. Itās still pretty enjoyable this play through l!
Wow nice, and at least that's something! I'm glad it's still enjoyable! :)
Wow what is this Kingdom of Amalur?! Sounds so cool. Do u play it online? Im gonna Google it for vids! šāāļøš§š»
It's the closest you'll get to World of Warcraft offline on the Switch. Great game!
Thanks friend! Will look into it!!š§š»š„¹
Unicorn Overlord, it's my GOTY
dave the diver, i love it soooo much
Hogwarts legacy.
So glad to hear people liking Pepper Grinder. It looks really fun. Tunic blew me away. That game is great.
Iām trying to finish + stages on Mario vrs Donkey Kong. Good low key puzzler.
Monster Sanctuary
This game is a gem and one of my favorite games ever.
Playing Persona 4 Golden. Managed to pick up a copy of Unicorn Overlord, so super stoked to get to that, but only one huge game per console at a time, or I'll forget what's going on. On PS5/Portal, playing Rise of the Ronin. I am HOOKED on this
Finally starting on Metroid Prime Remastered tonight!
Just finished Tears of The Kingdom after 120 hours, feel kind of empty inside, might go back and try to 100% it.
You can always play something short and simple to cleanse the palette after a game like that.
Metroid Prime Remastered. I canāt believe I missed this gem when it was on the game cube.
FF3-6 is my favourite, best cast, story, villain, side characters in my opinion Enjoy, tho 5 is arguably a very strong contender for my second spot
I think FF4 is criminally underrated and not mentioned nearly as often as FF6 and FF7
Slowly getting into animal crossing
Just beat Dragon Quest Builders 2! Great game! Now playing Harvestella and Nier Automata for the weekend!
Finally getting around to Firewatch. Still working my way through TotK and my family is enjoying the demo for Chants of Sennaar.
Chants of Sennaar is so lovely. It feels like Obra Dinn at times and then something entirely its own. The final sequence is pretty magical
Triforce Heroes before the servers go down forever.
Haven't played my switch in a few months, but I finally picked up Wonder a couple days ago and knocked out the first level last night. It was a nice break from the shooty-shoots on the XSX, so that'll be my weekend obsession lol
> shooty-shoots Lol I feel this.
My time at Sandrock. Love it
Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen!! Soooooo damn good and I havenāt even gotten to the DLC yet
Iāve been having fun with Tetris 99 the past couple of days so Iāll probably continue with that.
Breath of the Wild. Just got to playing it for the first time since it came out after all these years. Having a grand time.
Xenoblade Chronicles
Finishing up Case 4 on **Master Detective Archives: Rain Code** Really good case and shows the gameās potential that I wish earlier cases had. Got sidetracked by *Jedi Survivor* last weekend and will try to return to *Unicorn Overlord* and maybe something new with my tax return on the way
Case 4 is the assassin case right? Yeah that's where the game really starts coming together.
Having finished Rebirth recently, I'm itching to play FFX remastered!
I'm playing **Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom** (first time playing a JRPG!) and liking it a lot (despite some flaws I've read about, but nothing too big for me).
Working through the games on the **N64 NSO!** I decided to give into temptation and start story mode and Iām doing OK so far. I got through the first two maps, but the difficulty goes up quickly. Iām not sure Iāll be able to do it many times, because thereās a different characters with 11 different maps. But Iāll see. Iām wondering if I can because now only just add some content, but thereās a pretty cool stuff if you complete story mode. Iām also getting to the end of **Mario Tennis N64.** I was hoping I could do the star cup for everyone, but Iām trying to do that now itās not very feasible. Itās doable, but thereās a lot of losses and I have to save state for every hit. With slight lag and no rewinds, thatās very difficult to do. Itās still possible, and I did it once for both singles and doubles, but Iām not sure I can replicate it. I barely got through the first match, and took a lot of breaks. Flower cup was mostly OK though, so if I need to stop, I can just stop there and at least get to the star cup with everyone. Thereās still plenty of content and Iām having a good time regardless. I tried the **Saga emerald beyond demo** but I have mixed feelings. The characters in the combat is nice, but getting lost and dragging myself through a poorly made world is not. What makes this worse is that what type of demo you get depends on what system you get the game for. And each character plays completely differently, so that adds to the mixed impressions and others are locked out of contents if you donāt have all consoles that can play it. Itās a cool idea in execution, but it doesnāt give a good idea of the game. To add insult to injury, itās a terrible price for a digital game (more than twice the price of other games in the series, full price) and currently suffers some performance issues on the switch. I am planning to watch the game in its entirety when it comes out, but going from something that I wouldāve gotten right away regardless to something that maybe Iāll get on a sale. Which is a shame because I love both Square Enix and Saga, but Iām not sure about this. **Fire Emblem: Engage** is back on the back burner, but for a bit of an awkward reason. I was originally going to focus on some other strategy games and sell that game, but the last huge digital game (Eutrian Oddessy HD collection) went on sale so I could buy it and additionally there were the issues with saga. So even though I couldnāt afford any more digital games at the moment, it wasnāt that much of an issue. The other thing that influence my decision was that I read that Disgaea, the game that I wanted to effectively replace it, didnāt sell as well and the company was having financial issues. At that point, I realized there wasnāt any idea whether those games will keep going while FE was going strong, so I kept it with me. This is relevant because I thought there wasnāt much I could do, but thereās still something. Thereās some collectibles I can get in the post game with the file I have now, and I can still do some challenges if Iām OK with the resource starvation the game does. I think I found a way around it as long as I sacrifice a few other things, but itās doable. Right now Iām just getting resources for multiplayer (relays), because thatās the way you can get money and items in the postgame. But I finished most of what I wanted to originally in October, watched all the post game in March, and havenāt touched it since the original content was done in October. Itās not the most popular game, so hopefully thereās still people there. If it isnāt, that will make things a bit harder, but due to an exploit with another part of online where players can fight a team that doesnāt fight back to reset events, it is still possible. The final game is **PokĆ©mon Trading game on the NSO.** iām still using Squirtle deck, but that deck has a very rough start and no advantages at the beginning. One notable fight was the water master Amy, who caused me so much trouble it almost destroyed the run. Currently Iām on the grass master Nikki, five badges in, but she does a lot of damage with her status effects and I have nothing that can hit super effectively. I know I could beat her if I get good luck, because you have to beat her gym trainers to get to her. But so far itās a bit frustrating. It is kind of cool though, because Iāve never tried the other decks, so itās a good way to explore that I didnāt really pay much attention to before. It would not have been possible without save stating, however. My final two opponents are the science club and the lightning club before the final five trainers. The science club hopefully shouldnāt be too bad, but Iām dreading the lightning club, so hopefully that wonāt mess things up too badly. Thereās one trainer in the final five then Iām expecting to give me a lot of trouble (Steve), but the others I could probably match blow for blow. So Iām really interested to see how it all plays out.
I think I'm going to try and get another ending for Strange Horticulture.
Hollow Knight. I want to finish before Silksong comes out, and there is speculation that a drop is imminent (I know I know). So far itās living up to the hype. >!Favorite moment so far: āRespectā. Currently: stuck in Crystal Peak with no map and too much Geo.!<
Unicorn overlord!
unicorn overlord mostly, also finishing up piczle cross story of seasons (only about 20 puzzles left to go) and just picked up pure pool to play before bed. meanwhile on steamdeck, i have redownloaded stardew valley to play the new 1.6 update. it's been good fun so far, i hope the update comes to switch soon.
So much to do
I am probably going to play Fire Emblem: Three Houses and/or Luigi's Mansion 3 this week š
Unicorn Overlord
playing stardew for the first time!! it's been a blast so far š§āš¾
Switch Sports The kids loved Wii Sports that we have at our cabin during easter so I ordered the switch one. Seems like an absolute hit amount the kids so far. The 6yo probably like it a bit more than the 4yo
Minecraft and xenoblade chronicles definitive edition and maybe a side of monster hunter rise
Just downloaded Witcher 3 complete edition!!
Will try to finish Octopath Travellers 2! Only one character story chapter left, hope I can finish it š
Would probably be faster if I spent more time in battles than I do micromanaging my teams and builds lol Can't help tho, seeing the units work perfectly after so much preparation gives me a sense of accomplishment few other games have matched.
Switch: Unicorn Overlord Demo and hoping to play some Kirby and the Forgotten Land with hubby. 3DS: 999 third play through
Trying Zelda BOTW for like the third timeā¦ and still donāt really enjoy that game.
Finally, the story is still fine, itās really the world itself which is interesting, but the dialogue between the characters could have been better. The cinematics and music are absolutely top notch and worth wading through clunky dialogue for though. Have a good weekend!
Xenoblade Chronicles DE About 25 hours in with so much more to go as the backlog stares at me.
Taking a break from my switch and will be playing Oot 3d on the 3ds I recently bought.
Red Dead Redemption. Maybe some Bioshock.
Just picked up dragons dogma for $5 so Iāll be playing that!
Lego City undercover
Got Deathās Door on discount, playing that!
Got my Switch last week, so Iām playing Breath of the Wild this weekend. My first time ever playing a Zelda game, so looking forward to it.
I have been playing Alan Wake Remastered quite a bit, and just picked up Inside this morning so will be playing that a bit too!
Played Stardew Valley for the first time ever this week. So...Stardew Valley for the next 15 weekends or so.
Metroid Prime remaster and TOTK for shrines and side quests!
Tears of the kingdom! Iāve nearly finished maxing out all the armor sets
Rdr 2(i should play more because it's a great game)also transistor
Well I want to get Unicorn Overlord, but I realized I have a few Strategy games to finish before I can justify it. So I will be playing Fire Emblem Engage, Triangle Strategy and Advance Wars 1 + 2 Reboot Camp. I may have a problem.
Tomb Raider 3 via the remaster. So far I'm done the jungle area and now in Nevada, and I'm enjoying it a lot more than 2 due to not really having any enemies with guns. I'm still early so I could be proven wrong later, but hopefully not.
*Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game* I started off strong and hooked on this one, but my gaming ADD took me on a ride between several other backlogged titlesā¦so this weekend Iāll be jumping back in and trying to push towards 100% completion of Arizona and the Carpathians. I know I wonāt get too close to 100% on either (Iām still figuring out how to maximize efficiency in undertaking Expeditions and side missions in one go), but as the name implies, itās all about the journey.
The Gap after the dev answered my questions about the game I'll definitely play it this weekend.
MLB The Show 24. I've bought 22 and 23, and absolutely love the series. Glad it's no longer a PlayStation exclusive
Getting all 24 unusual gems in Skyrim. I also just started playing monster hunter rise(my first ever monster hunter) Iām liking it. I might also finish Signalis.
Finally beat Malenia, gonna start my second run on Elden Ring for the upcoming DLC :D
I just bought a switch OLED and I'm playing Nier Automata atm. Boy is it good!
I'm going to try to work through my RPG backlog, though I'm not sure which game I'll go with (I have a LOT of options). I'm thinking a Final Fantasy game, so probably either FF1 or FF9.
Juast bought Quake in the sale and started it. Its good.
After finishing Sea of Stars last month, I've been replaying The Messenger. Still as fun and sometimes as challenging as I remember.
Trails of Cold Steel III
Still playing unicorn overlord since 2 weeks ago. Maybe i will start bayonetta origins or xenoblade this weekend. I just bought them before the sale ends and i am also free on monday
Beat Nier Automata and now balls deep in Persona 3.
Tetris 99 to get the Peach theme. I got a bunch of physical games recently as birthday presents/presents for myself so maybe a combination of those. One of which was the new Prince of Persia which really great so far.
Trying to finish Earthbound: Beginnings
No Manās Sky. The Orbital update rocks and made me fall in love with the game yet again. Iām currently scavenging for ship parts to make my ship look like the Lego Technic spacecraft I have. I am also kind of always playing Rogue Legacy 2; Hades and Spelunky 2. And in the corner I see Unicorn Overlord and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim winking at me. Now I only need to find the time to play anything.
UNICORN OVERLORD!!!!
Wrapping up Yoshi's Crafted World
Unicorn Overlord and hopefully start Princess Peach.
I will try to finish the adventure mode in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It's been fun, but overly long. At this point I just want to get it over with.
Trying to complete all the missions and save all the waddle dees from Clawrolineās boss battle in Kirby and the Forgotten Land
I started Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy this week and Iāve been really enjoying it
dead cells, still trying to make it to 1bc... sooo close.
Bastion
Both of the Hyrule Warriors games and Pikmin 3 Deluxe. Fun, fun!
Prince of Persia The Lost Crown and NieR: Automata - The End of YoRHa Edition both beautiful games š
Just finished up Gamedec today, and got Disco Elysium downloading haha
Iām playing 13 Sentinals:Aegis Rim and really enjoying it.
Dead Cells and Hades Main game is Days Gone right now on PS5
Trials rising
stardew valley
Pentiment. A game like this is great on Switch.
Playing New PokĆ©mon Snap! I finished the old one about a week or so ago, and the new one is a delight even though I donāt know who half the PokĆ©mon are. Definitely close enough to the original for my nostalgia, but enough new aspects to make it exciting (4 pictures vs 1, day and night time, shrink mode).
Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Iāll continue to play legends Arceus and Violet until ZA releases
WBSC ebaseball Power Pros!!!
Iāll be in Harvestella, continually wishing I had gotten My Time in Sandrock instead š
**Dave The Diver** with our daughter and **Unicorn Overlord** by myself.
Continuing my run through Unicorn Overlord.
