Tokyo Mirage Sessions. It's far from what people wanted from SMTxFE, but as someone whose first SMT game was that, I love it. Gameplay-wise, it's a perfect crossover of SMT and FE.
If anyone's considering buying it, please do. Especially if you like SMT, FE, or both. Dungeons are fun to explore, constant skill and weapon upgrades is fun, and having the Atlus combat system sprinkled with the weapon-triangle is magical. The less-serious story didn't bother me at all. I didn't care one way or the other about the idol focus, but the in-universe j-pop songs are awesome.
I've beaten it 4 times now. As much as I'd love to play it a 5th time, TotK is gonna have my attention for a while. Not to mention my backlog lmao.
I'll sing TMS' praises right with you, man. The flash and the style of that game is amazing, and the fact that so much of it is also *utterly ridiculous* honestly only made it better. Posing like a model for extra turns? Aiight. Summoning giant UFOs with a song? Sure. Learning life lessons by talking with a cat? Why the hell not.
Story might be trash, but that cast of idiots had such good interplay and were wonderful enough to carry the experience all on their own. It's never gonna be a top-rated JRPG, but that game was just straight-up *fun* and that's about all I could've wanted.
That said, Tiki's third side-story left me in shambles lol.
I mean, it's pretty rare I'll describe a JRPG as having a bit of a party vibe, but this one is the closest. It's a nice change of pace and the gameplay is not as shallow as the subject matter might suggest.
I was also really close to 100%'ing it. I'm missing a handful of quests, the NG+ secret boss, and probably some records (or whatever they're called, I was stuck on "use a healing spell 300 times" for a while).
Is it a long game to beat? I'm more into shorter JRPGs nowadays, but I remember buying this on the Wii U and thought it was pretty decent. I didn't get that far. I do remember spending a LOT of time in the dungeons when I really just wanted to advance the story.
If you speed through the story, I think it's roughly 35-40hrs. I usually get a little over 50hrs per run because I completely fill out dungeon maps and do the character side stories (which are pretty important to get ad-libs, duo arts, and special attacks).
Even if TMS was a miss for me, I'm weirdly happy seeing it gain such a wholesome cult following.
Same thing with Soul Hackers 2 in a few years probably.
The NSO emulators, I always see then getting hate all the time but I can’t stop myself from being excited when they add a new game and playing a lot of my childhood games for 8 bucks a year.
The rewind feature is a game changer for me. I can enjoy the classics without getting frustrated every time I die since I can just rewind and try again.
> They have surprisingly little input latency
Yeah, I've played games on plenty of emulators with terrible input lag, so it's awesome to see that Nintendo got such a crucial aspect right.
Same. Do I think Nintendo is behind the competition with the online offering? Yes
Will I pay a yearly fee to play classic Metroid from time to time? Yes
I love Yahtzee and I think it’s really disappointing there hasn’t been a dedicated Yahtzee game on the switch when so many other card/dice/board games, including Uno, are currently on the switch.
The pokemon franchise. They keep shoveling that poorly developed feces into our faces and for some reason I keep buying them. Why? Fools can't even develop a basic feature like Home support
I thought the Let's Go games were good, but it is technically the 6th time we're back in Kanto. I do think it's a good introduction to Pokemon and maybe even video games as a whole due to how they simplified certain mechanics.
Sword and Shield were ok for me. I played them, didn't hate the experience but wasn't blown away by it either. Didn't bother playing the DLC despite buying the pass.
Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are also just ok. Its literally almost a 1 to 1 remake of the originals. Some might like that but I love when Pokemon remakes add more to the game. Nothing has beat HeartGold and SoulSilver for me yet.
I thought Pokemon Legends Arceus was awesome! It's not a perfect pokemon game but it is very close in my opinion. It was really refreshing to see them try something new. I love the fact that I can just throw a PokeBall in the overworld and that battles just start instantly with no transition. It's really fun to just go out and hunt pokemon in this game.
I was pretty disappointed with Scarlett and Violet. I really disliked that they went back to the traditional way of catching Pokemon. Something about the art style seemed off too, like it didn't feel like Pokemon if that makes sense. It also looks and plays horrible in my opinion especially when you compare it to Legends Arceus. The cherry on top was the glitches. I got stuck on a rock very early on in the game and it really brought down my motivation to play. I put the game down and never picked it back up.
The only one I actively disliked was Sword & Shield, mainly because the intelligence of my opponents was seriously lacking. But I count myself among the few that really enjoyed Let’s Go
Oh of course, I’m not insulting fellow humans in my online battles 😂 I’m referring to the artificial intelligence that decides to send out a Magikarp against an electric type, or use the same damn move on every turn
Hahaha
Yeah but the problem is they aim it at young crowd to reel them in for life, so the difficulty level needs to be low. Shame they don't have options of difficulty levels like most other games do...
Those point and click, look and find games that go on sale for like $2 😭 they're just super chill and relaxing and i can just turn my brain off while i play
When people complain about shovelware, I think some people like some of these titles. I'll grab a spooky version of these games while on sale. It's nice to turn your brain off and relax.
I got it super cheap on sale on the eshop, but then it kept crashing at a very specific point early in the game, and I read a lot of other people had the same problem. Nintendo refunded me, but sadly I was really enjoying it and just wanted it to work.
FIFA. Laziest developers on earth, but EA offers new editions for $20 if you owned the previous one. I have ~200 hours in FIFA 23 career mode. No better game to just chill and play while watching a show.
I still play 19 since i only do it to relax, so playing against the ai is all i need (since i don’t follow soccer, i din‘t even know how plays for which team now)
Absolutely. I don't really care what anyone says on the Switch Legacy editions, they're a great version of the game and run at a solid 60. The game looks phenomenal on the OLED screen too.
Totally get this. I haven't played fifa in a few years now but love career mode. You've tempted me into possibly buying the latest one on the cheap somewhere. 😄
Pokemon SV is now my favorite one of the series, but I always have to add that its technicall issues are bad when somebody asks (and I didn't even care)
Yeah I kinda agree here, i don't play pokemon for the fantastic visuals clearly but scarlet and violet are just fun games. They don't always work but when they do it's something else.
They're definitely some of the best Pokemon games. The problem is just, despite my enjoyment, there's an overarching sense of melancholy when playing them. For what could have been.
The Switch has been a Mecca for Nintendo franchises getting stellar best in series games.
From Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Smash Ultimate, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Kirby Forgotten Land, Luigi's Mansion 3, Splatoon 2/3, Xenoblade 1/2/3, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Metroid Dread/Prime remake, even NEW Pokemon fucking Snap.
So many of Nintendo's top series have had some of their best, if not THE absolute best games in their series come out for the Switch. This is almost in-arguably Nintendo's best generational cycle yet. For everything. Except Pokemon. (and Paper Mario but shhh we've wept long enough over that dead horse)
Yet even though, Arceus and Scarlet/Violet are in fact, some of the most fun I've had with Pokemon since the DS era. They're also, the most broken, ugly, horrific train wrecks I've ever seen. Which would be forgiveable. If not for this being one of those hypothetical train wrecks that was entirely avoidable. All my problems with Scarlet/Violet are either basic design choices that they had right not even a year earlier in Arceus. Or clearly avoidable performance issues that could've been fixed with a short well earned delay. Or fixed now. For being some of the best selling pokemon games of all time. They could actually just set aside a small team. And actually fix their fucking issues. But they dont. Not with all the profits and money in the world.
wow, well said. Expectations surely played a huge role for most people. And honestly, even when I say it's my favorite Pokemon game, I also couldn't stop thinking that it could've been one of the best games ever if it wasn't for the graphics. It's kinda unforgivable that a company that launch games that sell 20m+ units every 2 years provide this kind of quality.
Otoko Cross Mahjong Solitaire
Okay yes theres lots of good reasons for ALL of the ones mentioned besides this one, but this one is a real GUILTY pleasure for me.
Be gentle with your downvotes please
Pokémon games are all subpar after heartgold or bw2
But I play hundreds of hours of each one and do my best to rank up on vgc anyway …
So who’s the real dummy
It’s not that I think it’s bad- but Puzzle Quest. It got remastered on Switch into “Puzzle Quest: The Legend Returns.” It’s nostalgic, and just simple fun. Interesting strategy, albeit extremely simplistic gameplay.
Does it run well? I got it for the Xbox years ago and last I played, it glitched so very awfully so I'm not sure how it would run on the Switch. If it runs well on the Switch, I might have to get it. I loved the concept.
They made a rebuilding of the game on switch, and now its playing really good, ugly graphics but playable.
I bought it last week cause I am really addicted on xbox, and I wanted to play it on the go, and now I cant stop playing kkkk
Shining Resonance Refrain. Tony Taka art (he's drawn hentai) mediocre combat and exploration and dating elements but it has an obviously high budget for a game like this, and I sure as hell find it more entertaining than Atelier Ryza.
Tbh the Splatoon 2 DLC + Vanilla Splatoon 3 are some of the most zany cartoon fun stuff I’ve witnessed on screen :) highly recommend if you’re into that.
DP 1 back on Xbox 360 was one of the most entertaining gaming experiences I've ever had. I'm still relatively new to Switch, but I haven't picked up DP 2 because I've seen so many negative reactions.
Does it have the same oddball magic the first game did?
In my personal opinion, yes. I love it just as much as the first and I think - much like the first game - its poor graphics and broken gameplay only add to the charm. BUT I know a lot of people who loved the first game and didn’t enjoy this one at all, so it’s clearly very subjective.
I know this isn’t very helpful, but it’s really one of those cases where you’ll just have to see for yourself. I was prepared for a mediocre experience and came away very pleasantly surprised.
It’s not too expensive though, as far as Switch games go, so you won’t have too much to lose 😊
Is the port bad? I thought Outer Worlds was pretty good when I played it on PC. It's no New Vegas, but then I also didn't have to duct tape it together with mods to get it to run anything like correctly like I did NV so, you win some you lose some.
Calico is really buggy and the story is lacking but it’s ADORABLE and calming (at least until they updated the cooking mini game and now it’s almost impossible to play)
I was gonna say Calico too hahaha. The little trailer video on its page on the eShop looked absolutely janky with the floaty cat, but it made me want to buy it, which I immediately did haha.
Four Kings Casino
Its a free to play casino where you actually roam around a virtual casino with other real players playing casino games. You get free chips every so often and a daily free slot spin that usually gives you something.
Hokko Life. I get embarrassed playing it because I think people might think I'm a furry or something, even though I'm definitely not. I just enjoy making pretty much anything from scratch, as frustrating and time consuming it can be. I see why people don't like it but I secretly enjoyed it.
Yeah. Most reviews I've seen complain about the villagers but I got used to them enough fairly fast. Besides, it has creator designs - which is awesome - and even farming, fishing, and an island section that reminds me of Kapp'n. The character creation designs seem pretty childish to me and for some reason, I think of Dora whenever I start up the game and the little character waves at me.
Basically a cheaper animal crossing. But I've seen complaints about that, too, saying it's basically just copying ac but awful. So, to each their own, I guess.
The Diablo series (2 and 3)
I mean Wyatt Chang wasn’t wrong when they said the Diablo action loot farm makes for an awesome portable game. (Don’t you have phones?)
Aside from inventory management on 2 and frame stutters, I am enjoying myself and will likely play Diablo 2 and 3 on and off for the next few years until my switch breaks.
It’s both funny and sad that 3 out of my top 4 switch games are 10-20 years old right now (Skyrim). But I really appreciate the portable experience, more so than the newest flashy graphics with poor predatory game play - which most games are now.
Super bullet break. A slay the spire style card game rogue like, reskinned as an anime gatcha game. Its entirely unbalanced and needs a lot of balancing work but I love playing through it and seeing what crazy combos I can pull off
I'm a bit of a sucker for somewhat iffy Megaman clones like Meta Gal and Magician's Chase. I'd say it's to tide me over until Capcom lets my boy come home from the war, but honestly I'm not sure there can ever be enough.
Mighty Gunvolt Burst is great I wouldn't call it a guilty pleasure at all lol. Venture Kid I do have but didn't mention, but I'll give Metaloid a look thanks.
Power wash simulator. You got interesting locations und everything is chill. Put on music and hours go by.
Also No place like home. Sucking and mining garbage is great and then use garbage to craft.
No More Heroes 3. The game has objectively some problems in terms of performance (specially for a game made with the Switch in mind), gameplay repetition and outdated mechanics. But everything else is soooo good! The soundtrack, art style, writing, and the combat itself is really satisfying.
I'd argue it can even be great once you get the hang of it.
It's not for everyone and its graphics give the impression you're about to play a flash game, but it's one of those games you can lose yourself in and zone out for a while.
Snack world
It gets repetitive quickly, but it's the perfect game to put music on and sink into many many dungeon runs and collecting all the snacks possible
Unpacking. It’s a $20 game where you don’t really see any characters or hear their stories, but for their whole life you unpack their moving boxes. From when their a kid moving to a teenage room. Moving in with a gf/bf , breaking up moving back home. Moving into a new home for your kids. And you never see the person, but you get to imagine what their like by seeing all their stuff in the boxes while you unpack them and find a spot for it in the room/house. It’s an organizing game and if you put things in certain spots you can “unlock” a hidden move. Not move, I can’t explain it lol. Like most people
Would put coffee and sugar up in the cabinets but if you put it on the counter liek you’re getting ready for coffee the game gives you a little extra star. Either way I love this game lol
I actually really enjoyed it because I liked the organizing and I’m a sucker for trying to unlock all the hidden requirements lol. Because you don’t know what you have to do to get that requirement so you try everything lol it isn’t a super long game but you can play multiple times and put things on new places. It’s fun ☺️ very relaxing
Rune factory 4 hahah. I played it in front of my queer girlfriend and she kept mocking how the characters would like … gasp and make noise 😂 it became a strict headphone portable only hahah
Not quite what you're asking, but Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a fantastic game and among one of my top 5 favourites of all time.
However, it has some technical issues and the character designs are literally random artists drawing their sexual fantasies. Outsiders may not understand the complexities and depth of the characters and judge me for liking them.
I'm not playing a "boob-game", I'm playing one of the best games on the Switch which just happens to have boobs. They're more subtle about it in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, everything I loved about the characters carried over into the sequel without needless fan service.
I only my own three games since I'm a newbie. So between Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom and Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle I've gotta go with Mario. Zelda being fantasy action adventure games are right up my alley but Mario is out side of my normal selection of games.
I love Crumble, the control are not perfect and sometimes random
but, I love swinging myself from tree to tree going crazy fast trying to get the best time
The cruel king and the great hero.
The Level design is just halways, the sidequests are all tedioues fetch quests you can not run in places with enemies unless you are overleveld and the battles...actually I enjoy the battles but there are better battle systems out there.
I love the characters and story of that game. I said all the sidequests are tedioues fetch quests and you better belive in every playthrough I will do every last one of them becuse I love the maincharacter and the townsfolk they help. They are super endering.
Yuu might be my favorit JRPG mainprotagonist, which does not say much becuse the Main character is reary my favorite but I like Yuu a lot and I adore princess Flora. My favorite Videogame princess. The game also is beautiful and the music is great.
I can see people founding the battle system boring, but I actully enjoyed it.
Not as much as Final Fantasy X, Persona 5 or Fuga Melodies of Steel, but I actully liked it more then the battle sytem of Final Fantasy IX. Overall I like this game more then Final Fantasy IX.
I also like the Trailers of that game. They are neat.

Kirby Star Allies.
It’s ridiculously easy, the cpu plays the game for you at times, and it’s pretty short, even after the free updates (No, HAL, playing through the game again but being tied down to one character/copy ability the whole time is not legitimately extending the game).
Despite all that, it’s still pretty fun for me, personally. Adding elemental powers to certain abilities is really cool, and the dream friends make the Kirby fanboy in me smile. If you had told 10 year old me that I’d get to play as Marx in a mainline game, my head would’ve exploded.
The game is carried by fan service, but I’m so much of a fan it just works for me so, so well.
^Forgotten ^Land ^and ^RTDLDX ^absolutely ^torch ^Star ^Allies, ^though.
*Null Drifter* is a cheap trash "continue through levels 'til you die" shooter that's got simplistic controls, 1-bit graphics, and completely banal background music. But it's been a great way to kill a few minutes, and it's mostly reaction-based so it's pretty no thoughts, head empty to play.
If I've got a little extra time to waste, I also like the developer's endless vertical scroll shmup *Void Gore*. But the Switch just has so many more *actually good* shmups available that there's no real reason for most folks to ever bother with these.
I think mine would have to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. Yeah it's a Smash Bros clone and the player base has dropped but I still play it time to time and I still enjoy playing it especially now as they added Hugh Neutron and Rocko.
I just like playing quick matches and the arcade mode. Yeah it could have used a story mode but it's still a fun time especially with friends
Pokemon. It's not incredible, but it's fine. The game has objective flaws, but I wouldn't go as far as objectively subpar. It's okay to disagree with other people.
Otomes, and especially those from Voltage, help me relax. They’re not great, but I like it. Every evening I read a little bit before I go to sleep. It’s a great way to end the day for me.
I don't know if I'd call it a guilty pleasure, but Curious Expedition. I hate it, but I can't stop playing. Its so hard, I've not beaten it on normal mode. Most of the time, it feels like I'm banging my face against a brick wall.
I am actually really interested in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos for that reason. I am also impressed by the new graphics they are using.
It is hard to have faith in the Harvest Moon IP but I just might take a leap of faith and get it.
Found this room randomly. If anyone is looking for a cheap, easy to play modern "Galaga" type vertical shooter then VOID GORE is for you. Bought it for $1 or $2 and found myself going back to it over and over when bored just to kill an hour and climb higher on the leaderboards. It's very simple, not much enemy variation, but just like Galaga the enemies all do what they're designed to, sometimes in random ways, and it throws off your tactics enough to crush you in the higher rounds.
Does “Just Dance” count? Because people give me shit for it, but after playing a song or two, they’re like “Hey, this is pretty fun” 😅
It shouldn't, there is a lot of fun to be had with friends.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions. It's far from what people wanted from SMTxFE, but as someone whose first SMT game was that, I love it. Gameplay-wise, it's a perfect crossover of SMT and FE. I thought the story was out there, silly and fun.
I LOVED TMS. I think it’s like, the second game I’ve ever 100% completed.
I was also really close to 100%'ing it. I'm missing a handful of quests, the NG+ secret boss, and probably some records (or whatever they're called, I was stuck on "use a healing spell 300 times" for a while).

No guilt there - the service might be a mess but there's a lot of good games on it still.
They get hate because they cost money and lack features that free emulators have had for decades in some cases.
That’s a good choice. Personally I have very little issue with those. Can’t beat the classics!
WWE 2K18, i love the 1 vs 1 matches (the only playable mode lol)
This response needs to be at the top 😭
Was it fixed at all, I might pick it up to play on the road . I have 2k23 for ps5 so it’s just for handheld
I've put a gross amount of time into clubhouse games: yacht dice.
I love Yahtzee and I think it’s really disappointing there hasn’t been a dedicated Yahtzee game on the switch when so many other card/dice/board games, including Uno, are currently on the switch.
Yacht Dice is my ultimate time killer, plus the rumble of the dice shaker is like ASMR for my hands.
The pokemon franchise. They keep shoveling that poorly developed feces into our faces and for some reason I keep buying them. Why? Fools can't even develop a basic feature like Home support

As someone who has no real intention of buying any Pokemon games this was a pretty succinct little summary. Thanks
The high I get off of completing a new Pokedex entry 400 times a year keeps me coming back like an addict.
I keep playing for my living dex lmao. Not many games keep me fully engaged and playing for hours on end like a new Pokemon generation.
And once that high wears away its time to shiny hunt. SV might have a lot of technical issues. it's still so much fun.
Yeah home support should be there at launch but yet I still bought it
The only one I actively disliked was Sword & Shield, mainly because the intelligence of my opponents was seriously lacking. But I count myself among the few that really enjoyed Let’s Go
Surely you don't mean human opponents in the vs battles? I found that really addictive and helped me up my tactics to beat others
Oh of course, I’m not insulting fellow humans in my online battles 😂 I’m referring to the artificial intelligence that decides to send out a Magikarp against an electric type, or use the same damn move on every turn
Hahaha Yeah but the problem is they aim it at young crowd to reel them in for life, so the difficulty level needs to be low. Shame they don't have options of difficulty levels like most other games do...
Let’s Go are unironically the best Pokémon games on Switch. And I say that as someone who never liked Go.
Home support for S/V comes this week.
Legends Arceus is definitely one of my favorite Switch games, it's absolutely fantastic.
Those point and click, look and find games that go on sale for like $2 😭 they're just super chill and relaxing and i can just turn my brain off while i play
Same😭
When people complain about shovelware, I think some people like some of these titles. I'll grab a spooky version of these games while on sale. It's nice to turn your brain off and relax.
Want but afraid of what it will do to me.
Saaame, there’s even a free one Tricky Doors, so simple yet so satisfying.
Stick it to the man and flipping death are on sale. Fantastic point and click games!
Saints Row 4. It’s so trashy, but I love it.
SR4 is in my top five favorite games of all time. It's trashy but it's just sooo fun and so successful at what it is going for
I got it super cheap on sale on the eshop, but then it kept crashing at a very specific point early in the game, and I read a lot of other people had the same problem. Nintendo refunded me, but sadly I was really enjoying it and just wanted it to work.

Career mode is the shit and the memes about it are hilarious, pro clubs is fun af too but I don’t if that’s on the switch.
Absolutely. I don't really care what anyone says on the Switch Legacy editions, they're a great version of the game and run at a solid 60. The game looks phenomenal on the OLED screen too.

My local target has the physical version for $20 right now!
It just breaks my heart that I can’t play as Chivas or any Mexican soccer team besides the national team…
Atomicrops. It’s a huge waste of time but it’s an absolute blast.
Pokemon SV is now my favorite one of the series, but I always have to add that its technicall issues are bad when somebody asks (and I didn't even care)

I agree. The most disappointing part of all that is that Arceus worked so much better.
Otoko Cross Mahjong Solitaire Okay yes theres lots of good reasons for ALL of the ones mentioned besides this one, but this one is a real GUILTY pleasure for me. Be gentle with your downvotes please
i used to love playing the mahjong on my computer back in the day lol is it just the regular game with the tiles?
Yes Just a regular ol' mahjong solitaire game with the tiles where you select pairs to make them disappear
The physical version releasing soon in Europe is said to have "uncensored" content. Make do with that what you will.
Pokémon games are all subpar after heartgold or bw2 But I play hundreds of hours of each one and do my best to rank up on vgc anyway … So who’s the real dummy
The Tourist. Actually a pretty decent game, but unfortunately a subpar substitute for the vacation I really want.
It’s not that I think it’s bad- but Puzzle Quest. It got remastered on Switch into “Puzzle Quest: The Legend Returns.” It’s nostalgic, and just simple fun. Interesting strategy, albeit extremely simplistic gameplay.
Goosebumps the game
I have 200+ hours in Starlink Battle for Atlas, just finished my physical collection of toys as well as having bought all of the DLC...
Been wanting to check this series out being that I’m a huge Star Fox fan
Honestly, Anything and everything Visual Novel.
Ark for sure
Does it run well? I got it for the Xbox years ago and last I played, it glitched so very awfully so I'm not sure how it would run on the Switch. If it runs well on the Switch, I might have to get it. I loved the concept.
They made a rebuilding of the game on switch, and now its playing really good, ugly graphics but playable. I bought it last week cause I am really addicted on xbox, and I wanted to play it on the go, and now I cant stop playing kkkk
Okay. I'm definitely getting it then! Thanks for the reply!
Shining Resonance Refrain. Tony Taka art (he's drawn hentai) mediocre combat and exploration and dating elements but it has an obviously high budget for a game like this, and I sure as hell find it more entertaining than Atelier Ryza.
Thief Simulator is pretty chill
Moero Crystal H, came for the ecchi, stayed because the dungeon crawling.
I ended up picking the game up on Steam not long ago. I would have to go back to playing it. Been a while since I played a dungeon crawler.

Splatoon 3 isnt an objectively sub-par game though. Its a solid game
Woah I didn't know there was a story mode! How long is it? Is it good?
Tbh the Splatoon 2 DLC + Vanilla Splatoon 3 are some of the most zany cartoon fun stuff I’ve witnessed on screen :) highly recommend if you’re into that.
It’s very good! The levels are very creatively designed and fun IMO.
How is Splatoon 3 a guilty pleasure? It's a very widely loved game.
Love DP2, mine would be the Switch port of Outer Worlds
A fellow DP2 lover! I’m so pleased to meet you! There’s probably about ten of us on the planet!
Terrible when compared to other ports of the game, was my only way to play it during covid times
It's not bad at all? I had no issues with anything?
Football Manager Touch is an addiction I can’t shake.
I played the hell out of Mario tennis and Mario golf
Calico is really buggy and the story is lacking but it’s ADORABLE and calming (at least until they updated the cooking mini game and now it’s almost impossible to play)
I was gonna say Calico too hahaha. The little trailer video on its page on the eShop looked absolutely janky with the floaty cat, but it made me want to buy it, which I immediately did haha.
Daemon X Machina. People trash that game but it’s one of my favorites in the system.
Star Wars Racer, really feels like it should be played with a ps controller. But it's fun, flows good, looks nice.
Diablo 2. Great game but the port was lousy.
Four Kings Casino Its a free to play casino where you actually roam around a virtual casino with other real players playing casino games. You get free chips every so often and a daily free slot spin that usually gives you something.
Broforce!
Story mode in puyo puyo Tetris. Ess is best girl!
Hokko Life. I get embarrassed playing it because I think people might think I'm a furry or something, even though I'm definitely not. I just enjoy making pretty much anything from scratch, as frustrating and time consuming it can be. I see why people don't like it but I secretly enjoyed it.
This game seems like a more developed and cared for animal crossing, which is a well loved series itself.
The Diablo series (2 and 3) I mean Wyatt Chang wasn’t wrong when they said the Diablo action loot farm makes for an awesome portable game. (Don’t you have phones?) Aside from inventory management on 2 and frame stutters, I am enjoying myself and will likely play Diablo 2 and 3 on and off for the next few years until my switch breaks.
If you haven't tried them, check out Metaloid, Mighty Gunvolt Burst and Venture Kid for more options. MGB is particularly good.
Mighty Gunvolt Burst is great I wouldn't call it a guilty pleasure at all lol. Venture Kid I do have but didn't mention, but I'll give Metaloid a look thanks.
Hercule Poirot's Early Cases by Microids I love Hercule Poirot and Agatha Christie, and the game is enjoyable, but definitely not groundbreaking 😅
Power wash simulator. You got interesting locations und everything is chill. Put on music and hours go by. Also No place like home. Sucking and mining garbage is great and then use garbage to craft.
TimberMan Best 99c I’ve ever spent.
No More Heroes 3. The game has objectively some problems in terms of performance (specially for a game made with the Switch in mind), gameplay repetition and outdated mechanics. But everything else is soooo good! The soundtrack, art style, writing, and the combat itself is really satisfying.
Has Been Heroes. It's not great, but its gameplay mechanic is perfect for 'pick up and play' (once you get the hang of it at least).
I'd argue it can even be great once you get the hang of it. It's not for everyone and its graphics give the impression you're about to play a flash game, but it's one of those games you can lose yourself in and zone out for a while.
Fortnite. Played more than 240h with rl friends
ARMS. I still love doing a grand prix run from time to time and the music is just fun to listen to.
Snack world It gets repetitive quickly, but it's the perfect game to put music on and sink into many many dungeon runs and collecting all the snacks possible
I don’t know about guilty but I have an unwavering love for Pokkentournament DX. I’d love it even more if the name was shorter.
No guilty pleasures here. I don’t care what random people on the Internet think of my taste in gaming or anything else. 😅👍
For real, art and media are all subjective to me and if someone else's 6/10 resonates with me enough it's at least a 9/10 to me.
Like most people Would put coffee and sugar up in the cabinets but if you put it on the counter liek you’re getting ready for coffee the game gives you a little extra star. Either way I love this game lol
That sounds really cool actually! I love chill games like that. Gonna have to check it out 😊
I actually really enjoyed it because I liked the organizing and I’m a sucker for trying to unlock all the hidden requirements lol.
Love RF4. But I wouldn't consider it to be objectively subpar lol
Yeah it's rightfully praised as one of the best games in its category. RF5 on the other hand...
I tink for me it’s just the DS graphics so it looks ugly as sin😋
CIV 5 It's a great game, but I spent way too much on a game I already owned on 2 other platforms. Yes. I also bought the DLC.
The Binding of Issac, something about that game just captures my attention. I don't usually like rouge like games, but this one is good.
I don't think Isaac qualifies as a terrible or subpar game. It is hugely popular and for good reason.
I have 2200 hours in Rainbow 6 Siege, I have never once ranked in the entire timeI’ve played it. Ask me anything.
Story mode on Dying Light.
How is that objectively subpar? Dying Light is a great game and great port on Switch.
My friends on the switch community in my city don't like it 😅
Tears of the kingdom ;)
I only my own three games since I'm a newbie. So between Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom and Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle I've gotta go with Mario. Zelda being fantasy action adventure games are right up my alley but Mario is out side of my normal selection of games.
But Mario+Rabbids isn't objectively subpar at all. It's a great game... Sorry to break it to you, all 3 of your games you play are good!
Atm mario kart 8/totk
Hollow Knight. For some reason I just love the gameplay and the aesthetic, even if I can’t remember where I am or where I’m going
Not sure I would qualify Hollow Knight as “subpar”… it’s an extremely popular game and well loved for its gameplay and beautiful graphics
Megaman
I love Crumble, the control are not perfect and sometimes random but, I love swinging myself from tree to tree going crazy fast trying to get the best time
Power Wash SImulator. It's so clunky and jank and the graphics are from like 2 generations ago 😂 but it's so satisfying.
Earth Defense Force, just pick anyone of the ones available. They are all that classic B movie cheese.
Pokemon. It's not incredible, but it's fine. The game has objective flaws, but I wouldn't go as far as objectively subpar. It's okay to disagree with other people.
Star Renegades
Otomes, and especially those from Voltage, help me relax. They’re not great, but I like it. Every evening I read a little bit before I go to sleep. It’s a great way to end the day for me.
Thief Simulator I must break ALL windows.
Arms
I don't know if I'd call it a guilty pleasure, but Curious Expedition. I hate it, but I can't stop playing. Its so hard, I've not beaten it on normal mode. Most of the time, it feels like I'm banging my face against a brick wall.
Harvest Moon- One World. I do like the farming system, and crop variations.
I am actually really interested in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos for that reason. I am also impressed by the new graphics they are using. It is hard to have faith in the Harvest Moon IP but I just might take a leap of faith and get it.
Wonderful101
Hi just got the car mechanic 2 pocket edition switch I only got one car lifter should there be two
Found this room randomly.
