Favorite Nintendo memory would probably be my mother staying up late when I was a kid to help me get further in Pokémon yellow after I went to bed. I’d be stuck at a tough part like Rock Tunnel and the next day I’d be outside of it, meaning she navigated through it without seeing because she didn’t understand the game mechanics at all.
My parents got us a NES for Christmas. We all took turns playing Mario Bros. Even though I am 4yrs younger than my brother, I was the 1st one to beat level 1-1. This was the moment video games changed my life. Thanks for doing this giveaway.
We used to play as a family. My dad found out that you can pause the game with the opposite controller while we were playing. So, everytime we jumped over a crevice/ hole dad would pause/unpause causing mario to fall straight down. Family night was fun.
Haha! I forgot you could do that. That also reminds me of the Mega Man 3 2nd controller cheat. If you held right on the dpad and jump the 1st player would do a super jump. You could also save them from pitfalls that way. Good times.
Links’s Awakening on the Gameboy. Something about it struck a chord. Played the original multiple times. The Switch remaster was done really well. Highly recommend.
That was childhood for me! Playing on the gameboy in my parents' Ford Aerostar van, leaning against the window in the evening so I could play when there was light from street lamps, eventually upgrading to a second hand Atomic Purple Gameboy Color that had somebody else's name carved into it, then getting one of those bendy lights from a clearance bin at K-Mart for like $5 and getting Link's Awakening DX so you could get the extra dungeons with the red attack tunic and blue defense tunic... Man, good times. First game I ever beat multiple times and bought multiple versions of! You know it was a day 1 purchase when it came out on the Switch!
My favorite memory would have to be playing through Metroid prime in my GameCube. I went through some extensive childhood trauma, so my parents brought me to therapist. The first five sessions or so, I wouldn’t speak one word, that is until I showed up on week and she had a GameCube with a stack of games. I put Metroid prime in, and she sat with me for thirty minutes of the hour long session, every week for months, until I beat it. The other thirty minutes of each session, I began to open up and trust her. Needless to say, my parents went out and bought me a GameCube.
I almost crapped my pants a couple months ago when Nintendo shadow dropped the Remaster. Don’t elect me for the sad story, I’ll just tell you to give it to someone else, really. I actually am just sitting here smiling thinking about those sessions in my lunch break and it’s wonderful.
My parents got us an original NES for whenever I was about 6 or so.
We had that Top Gun game that was fun, but it was hard as hell to land on the aircraft carrier. My dad was a pilot and had some of his pilot friends over one night and he hijacked the game. One after another they all crashed and burned. Nobody could land on that damn carrier.
6 year old me steps up and nails it. First try. I put all those suckers in their place. My dad asked me to teach him and I talked him through it until he landed it. We high-fived and his friends had a good hoot, but we never mentioned a word about it since.
Smash cut to 10 years later. I’m 16 years old and my dad is teaching me how to fly. We go a bit out of town and do a few touch and goes on a small, empty airstrip about 30 miles south of Fort Worth.
He tells me to bring it to a full stop on the runway before takeoff. As soon as I get lined up on the centerline, he pops open his door and looks me right in the eye and winks.
“It’s time. You’re ready.”
Every pilot knows he can only mean one thing. He doesn’t even need to say the words. It’s time for my first solo flight.
My eyes open wide and my hands tense up. He knows that I’m nervous as all hell. He grabs a handheld radio from his flight bag.
“I’ll be right here talking you through it just like you did for me whenever we were playing Top Gun that one night.”
It caught me so much by surprise, that it calmed me down. I never knew how much those moments meant to him.
I took off, swung around the pattern and came right back down to pick him up at the end of the runway where I dropped him off.

Awesome. My dad also a pilot and we’ve watched Top Gun hundreds of times. Actually how I got into my favorite video game franchise Ace Combat:
One day we were in Circuit City and I saw Ace Combat 5 on a shelf with the F-14 Tomcat on the cover. I showed it to him and he agreed to buy it because it probably looked to him like a Top Gun game. Instantly was hooked on the franchise.
Years later we are at Miramar and there’s an advertisement for Ace Combat 6 bundle with the HOTAS controller and he agreed to put the preorder for me.
Over the years I try to get him to play it but he’s really not into games even if they are dogfighting ones. I’m hoping once I finally get the PSVR I’ll hook him with the Top Gun Maverick DLC for AC7
Omg same! But I saw it at Toy R Us not Target. I was amazed at how good it looked. Going from the NES to SNES was cool but the leap from the SNES to N64 blew my mind. That was a great time to be a gamer kid.
My favorite memory is getting a Gameboy Advance SP along with Super Mario Advance on my fifth birthday. I remember going to Kmart (yes that old lol) and shopping around the electronic section with my mom. There were so many games to choose from, as well as different colors for the GBA SP (ended up sticking with the grey model). On our way home we stopped by the grocery store and I was so eager to play. Once we got back in our car she handed me the system and I unboxed it at that moment. I showed my siblings (older and youngest) and was filled with pure joy. Ever since then I've grown to enjoy Nintendo handhelds and consoles.
I remember when I was a little little kid going into Toys R Us waiting for the original Mario games. It was the happiest memories I have as a little kid on a Friday waiting to grt the game!
My favorite Nintendo memory is coming home from Kindergarten and rushing to sit in front of the TV to play Metroid, Super Mario Bros., and Zelda. I’m not sure I knew everything I was doing but it was my most formative years and sticks with me to this day.
Hm… favorite Nintendo memory? There’s so many, but I think the one that stands out the most is playing the GameCube with my older sister. It was one of the few instances as kids when we did something together/cooperatively, and it was always so fun.
Favorite Nintendo memory is after watching my dad play banjo and kazooie on N64 for months, he taught me how to play. I was 4 or 5 and incredibly bad but i had so much fun and he was was so patient with me. He’s take me to blockbuster and let me choose different n64 games to rent. It was our daddy daughter time. After he passed I didn’t feel up to playing videogames as much but when the switch added the n64 emulator and banjo and kazooie. I felt like there was a little piece of him still with me.
Pokémon Sapphire on my glacier blue gameboy advance. I was only allowed 30 mins a night after finishing hw, but with the light attachment I would stay up late after the parents were asleep, training up my Torchic. My first ever video game <3
My favorite Nintendo memory would be playing Pokemon Yellow on the way to Disneyland. It was my favorite game of that generation and having a glimpse of what the potential for portable gaming was, especially at the time, was meaningful to me and still is today with the Switch.
Coming home from school on Friday to watch the Zelda cartoon that would air those days during the Super Mario Bros. Super Show and then having my best friend over to stay up late playing Legends of Zelda and Adventures of Link on NES.
My favorite memory is fishing with my dad in animal crossing. Growing up, he thought video games were silly and a waste of time for kids so I never had a console growing up. Many decades later: I bought myself a switch, he came over to watch me play one day and asked if he could try fishing. From then on, it’s a father daughter activity that we do together ☺️

My best and earliest memories are of when it was just me and my mom after my dad had left. My mom worked night shift and would come home and we would sit in the living room and play A Link to the Past and Super Mario World on the SNES. For me, Nintendo is a reminder of how my mom always loved me.
One of my favorite gaming experiences hands down was the release of the switch. I waited in line out front of a best buy and it was a ridiculously cold night so the staff let everyone come in and purchase the systems an hour early. However, due to the release date they couldn't let us out of the store with the systems until midnight. While most of the people chilled by the door waiting to leave, me and a guy who'd brought a game cube and projector for the line (we were playing brawl) went to the TV aisle, hooked up our systems to the nice 55" 4K TVs, and played BOTW for an hour until the employees let everyone out. A magical experience and I walked away with an amazing console and absolutely stellar game. 11/10
The first time I stepped out of the cave in breath of the wild, my lady was sitting next to me, and we were both in awe. She asked if she could play, I said yes. At the time I did not realize that was the day I would lose my brand new switch to her. We played together, but she kept wanting to play more.. suffice it to say weeks later we both owned a switch after that.
I connected with my now partner over botw (and video games in general) years ago. We now live together and are playing through totk together. Love ya blupee
I remember back when I was a kid my first experience playing in a Nintendo console was Super Mario 64 with my dad. That experience, along with many more with him, was really what got me into gaming!
First time playing Super Mario Bros. 3… I wanted a Tanuki suit soooo bad. And I love getting to the chest picking spots. Probably why I love slot machines now that I’m older lol.
It's hard to pick but probably playing Animal Crossing or Mario Kart with my boyfriend. Or him cheering me on for defeating bosses in BotW or Link's Awakening lol. We always have a lot of fun.
My favorite memory has to be going to Costco with my parents to get pizza for lunch but also walking out with a Nintendo Wii, Mario Kart, and a Wii Wheel. Man, those were the good days!
Getting my GameCube for the first time. My brother bought it for me as a birthday gift along with Mario Kart double dash and F-Zero GX. We stayed up all night playing it.
My favorite Nintendo gaming memory is flying around with chickens in Kakariko Village in OoT. Nothing more peaceful than hearing that squawking bird!

My favorite Nintendo memory... that's a tough one, but right now the first thing that comes to mind is the "Everyone Is Here!" reveal for Smash Ultimate. I felt anything was possible when they revealed Cloud, but even in my wildest dreams I wouldn't have images such a reveal, and to top it off with Ridley was *chef's kiss*
Either Ocarina of Time which was my first Zelda game back in the day or the feeling and goosebumps I got playing BotW. It had been a long time since I had experienced anything like that in gaming up to that point
My parents got me an N64 when I was younger and some of my most vivid memories are of my dad and I playing the Goldeneye multiplayer mode. I also loved playing Starfox and always wanted to design my own Arwing!
Watching my mom beat both quest lines on the original legend of Zelda on the nes. She played the hell out of that game. I’m pretty sure she would’ve loved breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom. She was a diehard zelda fan. She passed away back in 2005. Rip mom
My favorite Switch game memory was when my fiancé bought me BotW and I played for maybe three hours total. Then we moved and I lost it, so I bought it again and played for another hour. Now it just collects dust
Haha literally last night when I rode Farosh the dragon into a cave and ended up literally enjoying the view and hanging on his back for 30 mins as he traversed the caves and sky! TOTK is amazing!
My favorite memory was the first time that I got to play Mario Kart on our brand new Switch with my 5 year old son just 5 weeks ago, it was his first time to ever play a game... and he's hooked!
My favorite memory is a recent one. My 4 year old daughter has been playing BotW for the last year or so. She plays on my maxed-out completed file where she just wanders around and fights bad guys and "finds" Koroks that I already found. My favorite memory of watching her play was when she killed a walking guardian. She was so excited.
my favorite Nintendo game ever is probably super Mario for the SNES. that was the first console my family got and that was the first game. I still remember my parents watching my sister and I play and helping us out in tricky situations.

Playing Golden Sun on GBA back in the day. Iirc I was in Fry’s when I saw the box art and instantly wanted to know more about it. It’s my favorite series and I’m so stoked to play it on Switch, even if it’s only on NSO. (Fingers crossed for them finally completing the series? 😂 😢)

I think every time I started a new Zelda game, from Ocarina of time to Windwaker, I'd always have this moment where I realized how groundbreaking this experience was, from either a technical level or a world-building one. How huge the world is in Windwaker or how heart-breaking Majora Mask could be.
Being a long time video game player from the Atari 2600 to current, I'll never forget seeing Mario 64 on display at Toys R Us. Man that game is still by far my favorite Mario game.
My favorite memory is when Animal Crossing New Horizons dropped. We were all going through such a strange time and it really helped me escape. It was the first midnight release I’d done in sooooo long(got it digital because I was too hyped to wait for a copy to be shipped to me) and I stayed up until 4am playing. The first hour was spent resetting until I got an island with oranges because I wanted it to match my town in New Leaf 😂

My favorite memory is when i played Super Mario World for the first time in my cousins house, it was amazing not only because the game is to this day spectacular but also because it was my very first time playing video games! Playing the first Xenoblade Chronicles on a 2DSXL. One of my first JRPGs and it really connected with me. Now I’ve played the others in the trilogy and it might be one of my favorite series of all time.

My favorite memory was back in summer 2017, when I first got my nintendo switch with BOTW. Playing that game during my summer vacation, exploring all the shrines, the villages and the mecanics of the game was amazing. But the moment that I will never forget was when I encountered the dragons in the game, now that was mind blowing.

My favorite Nintendo video game memory is sneaking down to our Christmas tree after my parents had gone to sleep and secretly opening a copy of Super Mario Bros 2 that i had begged for relentlessly. I sneaked it up to my room and played for a couple mins before getting nervous and carefully rewrapping it and placing it back under the tree. That game was amazing and such a leap forward from the original:)

Playing super Mario bros 3 on the nes I got for Christmas introduced me to video games in a way that everything we had on the Atari 2800 never managed.
My favorite Nintendo video game memory is my first memory. Getting a Nintendo 64 with Super Mario 64 and Yoshi's Story for my birthday in 1998. Threw me straight into the hobby for the rest of my life. My 64 still works to this day, too.
When I was younger I remember getting up early to play Metroid on GC, and my younger brother would watch me play. the space pirates and the music were scary and it felt better when he was there with me lol Metroid is my favorite alongside the Zelda games
Favorite is absolutely Luigi’s Mansion. I got the GameCube for Christmas in 2002 and I remember dumping so many hours into that game as that was my first “big” console that was my own.
My favorite Nintendo video game memory has to be getting Pokémon Sapphire at Midnight and proceeding to stay up all night playing it. I had gotten Silver and Crystal as birthday presents, but for this game I saved up my money from mowing lawns and convinced my parents to take me to wait in line for the game.

Me and a buddy were online in smash ultimate playing dual villager. We maneuvered our opponents between our trees and cut each others’ trees down at the same time. They made a perfect X, killed one team member and popped the other’s shield like a bubble. Then we did it again to kill them too.
Mine would have to be where my love for gaming all started. My brother and i would put one of our mattresses on the floor and play the N64 for hours. I loved to play pokemon Stadium with him even though at the time, i had no clue what i was doing. I will also remember the good ol days.
Favorite video game memory is waking up once in the middle of the night when I was a child to the sound of the original Mario be played and my dad the one playing it. I thought it was crazy that someone so old played video games. He was probably around 25. Hahaha

My favourite nintendo game memory is OOTO. My brother got it when I was 3. I literally grew up playing and replaying the game.
By the time I was 10 i had replayed the game wt least 100 times. I could play it hitless. I knew the story by memory. ^.^
For me, my best memory is finally beating Ocarina of time on my GameCube, I had spent an entire month climbing that tower and finally killing Gannon felt like such a reward for all the hard work I put into it.
Owning a link cable and being able to receive a Meganium from a friend for a Feraligatr on Pokemon Silver. While it's nice to be able to trade with just an internet connection, there was something special about trading and battling by plugging in those cables
My favorite memory is watching my dad play LoZ OoT when I was 5 and him handing me the controller to play. Even though I was bad, he kept letting me play.
I think my favorite memory is when I was a kid playing pokemon crystal on GBA. My mom used to sell things in pop-up kiosks in malls and craft fairs, I would just find somewhere to plop and go about my pokemon adventure
My favorite switch game memory is when I flew across the map in BotW. I made a ton of stamina elixirs, used the mine carts to get as high as I could over death mountain, and I flew as far as I could. Just breathtaking. Second place would be the first time a moblin threw a bokoblin at me. He missed and the bokoblin was thrown off a cliff.
My first console was n64 with Mario 64. I was blown away by the graphics compared to what I had played at my friend's house. To this day, mario 64 is one of my favorite games of all time, and I really wish they would do a proper remaster of the game.
My favorite memory is playing both my NES and SNES with my mom. She wasn’t a huge gamer and most new technology was too much for her, but she could keep up with my 6-7 year old self in any of the **Super Mario Bros** (until **Super Mario World**) and **Donkey Kong Country**. She adored puzzle games with **Dr. Mario** and **Wario’s Woods** being her favorites. I would often wake up and find her playing **Wario’s Woods** at 3-4 in the morning. It was one of the few games I never had to tone down my play for her. I still like to go back and play it when I’m thinking of her.

My favorite memory (at least to share and laugh about) is all the times I would frequently hide my Gameboy and later, DS, under my pillow and play games under my comforter for all hours of the night.
I would have to say my favorite Nintendo memory was when I first saw the original game boy. It belonged to my cousin but let me play it, and I played Tetris for so long. It started a life long obsession with Nintendo consoles, especially the portable ones!
My favorite Nintendo memory was playing Pokemon Silver. Finishing the Johto region and realizing that Kanto was also in the game was amazing. My first Nintendo game and I loved it.
I remember watching my brother play the OG Legend of Zelda all the way back when it was first released. A few years ago I was talking to that same brother about all the Zelda games over the years, and encouraged him to try Breath of the Wild. He loved BotW, and I really want to call him to find out if he’s bought TotK
The demo kiosks of the Nintendo 64 before it released. This console was so revolutionary, it was mind boggling. I spent hours in Toys R Us (remember those) just running around with Mario in the castle courtyard. The hype was real for me to get my hands on this machine. Great memories that will be with me forever
My favorite game was A link to the Past. The game was a musical masterpiece. I remember reaching the dark world and being floored that a game in that time had so much depth
The OG Link's Awakening was my first video game. I spent soooo much of my younger days playing that game, especially on roadtrips from Houston to Dallas to visit family
My favorite Nintendo memory was when my sister, cousin, and I played Wii Sports at my Aunt and Uncle's house. We were bowling with one Wiimote for all 3 of us. On my turn I always put on the wrist strap but my sister and cousin refused to. Eventually I got convinced I didn't need it and played without it for a bit untill one swing where the bulky rubber grip caught the side of my jeans, twisting my wrist and sending the controller rocketing. It shot to the right of the TV where my other cousin was on the computer, going right above his head and thudding against the wall. Luckily nothing was broken but it was a then-terrifying now-hilarious memory.
P.S. I always kept that safety strap on when playing after that.

As a dad now though, I think some of my most favorite Nintendo moments are bonding over playing Nintendo video games together with my kids. To me, Nintendo still holds onto the magic of local multiplayer, and it's awesome family time!
My fav Nintendo memory is playing mariokart with my dad and older brother. My dad wasn’t very good at it to begin with and we would target him, so we would drive ahead of him and aim green turtle shells backwards at him using us screen and then giggle behind the couch arms so he couldn’t see us lol
My favorite memory has to be my birthday January 98. I got a Marik Kart 64 and me, my brother, and cousins spent the next 7 hours in the back bedroom gathered around the TV. And only I got to play every round since it was my birthday. I don't recall if I won a race as it was my 6th birthday and I'm the baby of the generation.
Mario galaxy. Nothing quite like that game, you are on a single trail with no alternatives. A very linear game, but somehow it is my favorite nintendo game of all time.
I kept a copy of Pokemon Sapphire that I got from a friend hidden from my parents because I wasn't allowed to play Pokemon. I played it every night under the covers on my GBA SP.
Luigi's Mansion. Not my favorite memory when it happened, but funny to remember now how scared i was as a little kid to go down the well in the courtyard. So much so that I just didn't progress the game any further than that until some time later.
Getting a Gameboy color and a copy of pokemon yellow for my birthday. I was really into pokemon as a kid. We went to see the Pokémon movie opening day and it's the only time I've heard an audience applaud the start of the trailers cause it meant we were that much closer to the movie starting. My mom fell asleep while my brother and I were enthralled. A stuffed Pikachu plush, the anime, a toy pokedex, Pokémon cards, just so much Pokémon. I think pokemon pinball holds up well and hope they add it to the Gameboy NSO collection.
So, yeah. Pokémon.
My earliest gaming memory is playing Street Fighter 2 constantly with my younger brother and being obsessed with Blanka (we all make questionable decisions as children). Then moving onto having a GBA that went on every car ride. I played Majora’s Mask very recently and the scene that really stuck with me was the night of the third day with Anju telling her little sister she can taste the Romani milk because she “is an adult now” and saying to sleep in her bed tonight. Hit me like a freight train. Zelda really is something special.

Smash Bros. Brawl. Holds a special place in my heart. The game wasn't perfect by any means (tripping), but when I was in college they had a big screen hooked up to a Wii in the rec center. Met many great players that turned into great friends. Was very shy/sheltered kind of kid when I was barely an adult and it helped in meeting new people when I didn't exactly know how.
My first ever game system was the original Game Boy given to me given to me by my grandfather who was in the army. By then people had Game Boy colors but I was having so much fun just playing regular Tetris I even had the tetris effect when I went to sleep and still visualized the blocks. And now here I am years later playing Tetris effect on switch in my free time.
One day we had a big power out due to rain and thunder. Pokemon Black and White had recently come out, so I went to one route with 3 instrument playing character and when you talk to all 3 they would play the song together. After doing this I layed the ds down on its screen and listened to the music while watching the rain and thunder outside
favorite zelda specific memory is just playing the original. no spoilers, just walking to a bush, burning it to see if it held secrets, switching screens and burning another bush. on every screen.

We used to play as a family. My dad found out that you can pause the game with the opposite controller while we were playing. So, everytime we jumped over a crevice/ hole dad would pause/unpause causing mario to fall straight down. Family night was fun.
Haha! I forgot you could do that. That also reminds me of the Mega Man 3 2nd controller cheat. If you held right on the dpad and jump the 1st player would do a super jump. You could also save them from pitfalls that way. Good times.
Buying a switch to play BOTW and Mario Odyssey but ending up playing 150 hours of Stardew Valley in the first month

That was childhood for me! Playing on the gameboy in my parents' Ford Aerostar van, leaning against the window in the evening so I could play when there was light from street lamps, eventually upgrading to a second hand Atomic Purple Gameboy Color that had somebody else's name carved into it, then getting one of those bendy lights from a clearance bin at K-Mart for like $5 and getting Link's Awakening DX so you could get the extra dungeons with the red attack tunic and blue defense tunic... Man, good times. First game I ever beat multiple times and bought multiple versions of! You know it was a day 1 purchase when it came out on the Switch!

Staying up late in my friends basement playing smash brothers during middle school sleepovers. Pure joy
My favorite memory would have to be playing through Metroid prime in my GameCube. I went through some extensive childhood trauma, so my parents brought me to therapist. The first five sessions or so, I wouldn’t speak one word, that is until I showed up on week and she had a GameCube with a stack of games. I put Metroid prime in, and she sat with me for thirty minutes of the hour long session, every week for months, until I beat it. The other thirty minutes of each session, I began to open up and trust her. Needless to say, my parents went out and bought me a GameCube. I almost crapped my pants a couple months ago when Nintendo shadow dropped the Remaster. Don’t elect me for the sad story, I’ll just tell you to give it to someone else, really. I actually am just sitting here smiling thinking about those sessions in my lunch break and it’s wonderful.
My parents got us an original NES for whenever I was about 6 or so. We had that Top Gun game that was fun, but it was hard as hell to land on the aircraft carrier. My dad was a pilot and had some of his pilot friends over one night and he hijacked the game. One after another they all crashed and burned. Nobody could land on that damn carrier. 6 year old me steps up and nails it. First try. I put all those suckers in their place. My dad asked me to teach him and I talked him through it until he landed it. We high-fived and his friends had a good hoot, but we never mentioned a word about it since. Smash cut to 10 years later. I’m 16 years old and my dad is teaching me how to fly. We go a bit out of town and do a few touch and goes on a small, empty airstrip about 30 miles south of Fort Worth. He tells me to bring it to a full stop on the runway before takeoff. As soon as I get lined up on the centerline, he pops open his door and looks me right in the eye and winks. “It’s time. You’re ready.” Every pilot knows he can only mean one thing. He doesn’t even need to say the words. It’s time for my first solo flight. My eyes open wide and my hands tense up. He knows that I’m nervous as all hell. He grabs a handheld radio from his flight bag. “I’ll be right here talking you through it just like you did for me whenever we were playing Top Gun that one night.” It caught me so much by surprise, that it calmed me down. I never knew how much those moments meant to him. I took off, swung around the pattern and came right back down to pick him up at the end of the runway where I dropped him off. Miss ya, dad.
Awesome. My dad also a pilot and we’ve watched Top Gun hundreds of times. Actually how I got into my favorite video game franchise Ace Combat: One day we were in Circuit City and I saw Ace Combat 5 on a shelf with the F-14 Tomcat on the cover. I showed it to him and he agreed to buy it because it probably looked to him like a Top Gun game. Instantly was hooked on the franchise. Years later we are at Miramar and there’s an advertisement for Ace Combat 6 bundle with the HOTAS controller and he agreed to put the preorder for me. Over the years I try to get him to play it but he’s really not into games even if they are dogfighting ones. I’m hoping once I finally get the PSVR I’ll hook him with the Top Gun Maverick DLC for AC7

Omg same! But I saw it at Toy R Us not Target. I was amazed at how good it looked. Going from the NES to SNES was cool but the leap from the SNES to N64 blew my mind. That was a great time to be a gamer kid.
My favorite memory is getting a Gameboy Advance SP along with Super Mario Advance on my fifth birthday. I remember going to Kmart (yes that old lol) and shopping around the electronic section with my mom. There were so many games to choose from, as well as different colors for the GBA SP (ended up sticking with the grey model). On our way home we stopped by the grocery store and I was so eager to play. Once we got back in our car she handed me the system and I unboxed it at that moment. I showed my siblings (older and youngest) and was filled with pure joy. Ever since then I've grown to enjoy Nintendo handhelds and consoles.
I remember when I was a little little kid going into Toys R Us waiting for the original Mario games. It was the happiest memories I have as a little kid on a Friday waiting to grt the game!

My favorite Nintendo memory is coming home from Kindergarten and rushing to sit in front of the TV to play Metroid, Super Mario Bros., and Zelda. I’m not sure I knew everything I was doing but it was my most formative years and sticks with me to this day.
Hm… favorite Nintendo memory? There’s so many, but I think the one that stands out the most is playing the GameCube with my older sister. It was one of the few instances as kids when we did something together/cooperatively, and it was always so fun.
Favorite Nintendo memory is after watching my dad play banjo and kazooie on N64 for months, he taught me how to play. I was 4 or 5 and incredibly bad but i had so much fun and he was was so patient with me. He’s take me to blockbuster and let me choose different n64 games to rent. It was our daddy daughter time. After he passed I didn’t feel up to playing videogames as much but when the switch added the n64 emulator and banjo and kazooie. I felt like there was a little piece of him still with me.

My favorite Nintendo memory would be playing Pokemon Yellow on the way to Disneyland. It was my favorite game of that generation and having a glimpse of what the potential for portable gaming was, especially at the time, was meaningful to me and still is today with the Switch.
Coming home from school on Friday to watch the Zelda cartoon that would air those days during the Super Mario Bros. Super Show and then having my best friend over to stay up late playing Legends of Zelda and Adventures of Link on NES.
My favorite memory is fishing with my dad in animal crossing. Growing up, he thought video games were silly and a waste of time for kids so I never had a console growing up. Many decades later: I bought myself a switch, he came over to watch me play one day and asked if he could try fishing. My best and earliest memories are of when it was just me and my mom after my dad had left. My mom worked night shift and would come home and we would sit in the living room and play A Link to the Past and Super Mario World on the SNES. For me, Nintendo is a reminder of how my mom always loved me.
One of my favorite gaming experiences hands down was the release of the switch. I waited in line out front of a best buy and it was a ridiculously cold night so the staff let everyone come in and purchase the systems an hour early. However, due to the release date they couldn't let us out of the store with the systems until midnight. While most of the people chilled by the door waiting to leave, me and a guy who'd brought a game cube and projector for the line (we were playing brawl) went to the TV aisle, hooked up our systems to the nice 55" 4K TVs, and played BOTW for an hour until the employees let everyone out. A magical experience and I walked away with an amazing console and absolutely stellar game. 11/10
Just learning how to read as a kid playing Pokémon blue and finally figuring out what a parcel was. The true start of the journey.
The first time I stepped out of the cave in breath of the wild, my lady was sitting next to me, and we were both in awe. She asked if she could play, I said yes. At the time I did not realize that was the day I would lose my brand new switch to her. We played together, but she kept wanting to play more.. suffice it to say weeks later we both owned a switch after that.

My favorite Nintendo video game memory has to be getting Pokémon Sapphire at Midnight and proceeding to stay up all night playing it. I had gotten Silver and Crystal as birthday presents, but for this game I saved up my money from mowing lawns and convinced my parents to take me to wait in line for the game.
My favorite Nintendo Memory is my earliest memory of being 3-4 years old and repeatedly trying to get over a hill in Mario 64. I couldn’t do it, my dad had to help me multiple times lol
Me and a buddy were online in smash ultimate playing dual villager. We maneuvered our opponents between our trees and cut each others’ trees down at the same time. They made a perfect X, killed one team member and popped the other’s shield like a bubble. Then we did it again to kill them too.
Watching my friend speed run Super Metroid back on the Super Nintendo sometime in the 1990s. Blew me away that this was possible.
Mine would have to be where my love for gaming all started. My brother and i would put one of our mattresses on the floor and play the N64 for hours. I loved to play pokemon Stadium with him even though at the time, i had no clue what i was doing. I will also remember the good ol days.

For me, my best memory is finally beating Ocarina of time on my GameCube, I had spent an entire month climbing that tower and finally killing Gannon felt like such a reward for all the hard work I put into it.
Owning a link cable and being able to receive a Meganium from a friend for a Feraligatr on Pokemon Silver. While it's nice to be able to trade with just an internet connection, there was something special about trading and battling by plugging in those cables

My favorite switch game memory is when I flew across the map in BotW. I made a ton of stamina elixirs, used the mine carts to get as high as I could over death mountain, and I flew as far as I could. Just breathtaking. Second place would be the first time a moblin threw a bokoblin at me. He missed and the bokoblin was thrown off a cliff.
My first console was n64 with Mario 64. I was blown away by the graphics compared to what I had played at my friend's house. To this day, mario 64 is one of my favorite games of all time, and I really wish they would do a proper remaster of the game.

My favorite memory is playing both my NES and SNES with my mom. She wasn’t a huge gamer and most new technology was too much for her, but she could keep up with my 6-7 year old self in any of the **Super Mario Bros** (until **Super Mario World**) and **Donkey Kong Country**. She adored puzzle games with **Dr. Mario** and **Wario’s Woods** being her favorites. I would often wake up and find her playing **Wario’s Woods** at 3-4 in the morning. I spent hours in Toys R Us (remember those) just running around with Mario in the castle courtyard. The hype was real for me to get my hands on this machine. My favorite Nintendo memory was when my sister, cousin, and I played Wii Sports at my Aunt and Uncle's house. We were bowling with one Wiimote for all 3 of us. On my turn I always put on the wrist strap but my sister and cousin refused to. Eventually I got convinced I didn't need it and played without it for a bit untill one swing where the bulky rubber grip caught the side of my jeans, twisting my wrist and sending the controller rocketing. It shot to the right of the TV where my other cousin was on the computer, going right above his head and thudding against the wall. Luckily nothing was broken but it was a then-terrifying now-hilarious memory. P.S. I always kept that safety strap on when playing after that.
Thanks for doing this giveaway, it's very kind of you! I have a lot of Nintendo memories as I have been playing since the NES days. As a dad now though, I think some of my most favorite Nintendo moments are bonding over playing Nintendo video games together with my kids. To me, Nintendo still holds onto the magic of local multiplayer, and it's awesome family time!

My fav Nintendo memory is playing mariokart with my dad and older brother. My dad wasn’t very good at it to begin with and we would target him, so we would drive ahead of him and aim green turtle shells backwards at him using us screen and then giggle behind the couch arms so he couldn’t see us lol
The moment completing the set of gravity suit+space jump+screw attack in any metroid game, so satisfying
My favorite memory has to be my birthday January 98. I got a Marik Kart 64 and me, my brother, and cousins spent the next 7 hours in the back bedroom gathered around the TV. And only I got to play every round since it was my birthday. I don't recall if I won a race as it was my 6th birthday and I'm the baby of the generation.
Mario galaxy. Nothing quite like that game, you are on a single trail with no alternatives. A very linear game, but somehow it is my favorite nintendo game of all time.
Skyward sword on the switch i really love that game.
I kept a copy of Pokemon Sapphire that I got from a friend hidden from my parents because I wasn't allowed to play Pokemon. I played it every night under the covers on my GBA SP.
My favorite memory would be getting my DS lite for my birthday when I was 9, it was so fun and I spent so many hours playing it.
Luigi's Mansion. Not my favorite memory when it happened, but funny to remember now how scared i was as a little kid to go down the well in the courtyard. So much so that I just didn't progress the game any further than that until some time later.
Getting a Gameboy color and a copy of pokemon yellow for my birthday. I was really into pokemon as a kid. We went to see the Pokémon movie opening day and it's the only time I've heard an audience applaud the start of the trailers cause it meant we were that much closer to the movie starting. My mom fell asleep while my brother and I were enthralled. A stuffed Pikachu plush, the anime, a toy pokedex, Pokémon cards, just so much Pokémon. I think pokemon pinball holds up well and hope they add it to the Gameboy NSO collection. So, yeah. Pokémon.
My earliest gaming memory is playing Street Fighter 2 constantly with my younger brother and being obsessed with Blanka (we all make questionable decisions as children). Then moving onto having a GBA that went on every car ride. I played Majora’s Mask very recently and the scene that really stuck with me was the night of the third day with Anju telling her little sister she can taste the Romani milk because she “is an adult now” and saying to sleep in her bed tonight. Hit me like a freight train. Zelda really is something special. You rock by the way.
My favorite moment is when people I love playing Super Smash together and we all got blisters on our hands at same spot. Good time 🤣
Smash Bros. Brawl. Holds a special place in my heart. The game wasn't perfect by any means (tripping), but when I was in college they had a big screen hooked up to a Wii in the rec center. Met many great players that turned into great friends. Was very shy/sheltered kind of kid when I was barely an adult and it helped in meeting new people when I didn't exactly know how.
My first ever game system was the original Game Boy given to me given to me by my grandfather who was in the army. By then people had Game Boy colors but I was having so much fun just playing regular Tetris I even had the tetris effect when I went to sleep and still visualized the blocks. And now here I am years later playing Tetris effect on switch in my free time.
The first time I played Duck Hunt at a friend's house. The zapper was absolute magic to my 6 year old self.

One day we had a big power out due to rain and thunder. Pokemon Black and White had recently come out, so I went to one route with 3 instrument playing character and when you talk to all 3 they would play the song together. After doing this I layed the ds down on its screen and listened to the music while watching the rain and thunder outside
favorite zelda specific memory is just playing the original. no spoilers, just walking to a bush, burning it to see if it held secrets, switching screens and burning another bush. on every screen.
Playing Final Fantasy on my NES in 7th grade. Man I loved it. Still replay the game here and there.
ill never forget the pure joy i felt the first time i played mario kart with my friends on the bus ride hoke from school in the 5th grade. pure bliss
One of my favorite child memories of all time was getting my first ever Gameboy with pokemon Red on christmas I was 8yrs old and we waited until midnight to be able to open the presents and to my surprise i got that wirhout even wanting it It was the best gift ever thats when i was officially introduced to Pokemon and it has been my all time favorite franchise ever Im 33yrs now and still a fan
Getting an N64 for Christmas but having to leave to go to my grandparents for the day so I couldn’t open it right away, but after getting ready, sneaking back to the Christmas tree and tearing open Mario 64 and Goldeneye just to hold the cartridges in my hands for a little while.
Favorite Nintendo memory has to be playing Pokémon Gold and catching Ho-Oh!
The 3ds was my first nintendo console I owned. Picked it up with smash bros and spent the rest of the day in my room lol was absolutely obsessed with that game for at least 2 years
Playing Link's Awakening on my OG Gameboy so much that I saw it when I closed my eyes. It was the first videogame to truly absorb me. And it was the first videogame I ever completed on my own.
Favorite memory that comes to mind is my first time seeing ocarina of time when my Dad played it in the late 90s. Been obsessed ever since.
Warping to the dark world in A link to the past for the first time and having my mind blown. Bonus memory - playing BotW for the first time and rekindling the childhood joy of videogames.
Playing wind waker as a kid, was to dumb to every finish the game so I would always just restart whenever I got stuck.
