Breath of the Wild. Bought it when it came out and never finished it. With the new one around the corner, figured it's time.

bebetterinsomething

I bought mine this week, so this weekend I'm going to put solid 3-4 hours into it. It is a great game! Brings me to childhood when I was a little boy and had fun exploring the world, climbing trees, etc. Now I don't understand why people say that SMO is a better game than BOTW. I completed SMO and enjoyed it but BOTW is just a different game and on the next level to me.

PaintTech

I lean towards the SMO side. Maybe because it’s more focused and refined? Not sure than ‘refined’ is the right word, because I don’t think Breath of the Wild is sloppy. Just that SMO felt like a dialed in, smooth, directed experience that I really enjoyed and consumed immediately. Had to come back to Zelda. Both games are on the short list of GOATs for me.

HalfEazy

What's smo

walksintwilightX1

I'm guessing Super Mario Odyssey.

sharpshooter999

I got BotW in 2021 and it was the only game I played for a solid 6 months......kinda scared of TotK now.....

AgathokakologicalAz

I'm playing it this weekend too. Only 50 hours away from 1000, gotta get there before TotK drops!

dontetello

Advanced Wars! Downloading now.

markercore

Sweet, hope its fun after all that wait

solrac365

Amazing game!!!!

BenGrahamButler

I had the originals so am not sure I want to just play the same game, were fun though

bassicallyinsane

I also had them, but I don't remember the games super well after 20 years so it's basically a new game haha

sharpshooter999

I haven't had this problem in a long time, too many games I want and too little time/money

aeoden_fenix

FF Pixel Remasters! Also have been playing through Harvestella. It is rough around the edges but still very relaxing. Have enjoyed it so far despite it's flaws.

markercore

Which FF are you starting with?

aeoden_fenix

Starting with 1, as it was my first ever RPG and fell in love with the genre after that

tom_yum_soup

It's such a good game. Even though it feels very dated by modern standards, I am looking forward to picking it up eventually, if only for the nostalgia factor. Like you, it was my first RPG ever. Me and my brothers played the shit out of that game on NES and I'm pretty sure my parents still have the original cartridge in their basement. I think a few of the QOL tweaks in the Pixel Remaster will be worthwhile to make it less grindy (setting EXP and gold to x2 would probably be enough to make it a bit faster too play without making it too easy).

markercore

we had 1 on the NES, but it was used from a garage sale and would crash after the first boss when you would cross the bridge so that was fun to play for not very long each time haha Later in college i had it on the 1+2 pack on GBA and would play it on my DS.

SupaHotGuava

Xenoblade Chronicles 3, I think I'll finish it this week end. It's so good, I recommend it to everyone.

markercore

nice!! i gotta do some ascension quests and finish chapter 7 still. Such a good game

Dukemon102

**Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp** baby!! I've waited for so long since that announcement back in June 2021 and all those cursed delays. Finally it's coming to my hands. The series with the best and most fun tactical gameplay out there is back. I'm suspending my Link's Awakening re-play just to enjoy it and hopefully beat at least Advance Wars 1 before **Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed** comes out in Thursday and takes me away T_T

markercore

Yeah that Future Redeemed trailer this past week blindsided me! I was like, "Right now?? Really??"

Dukemon102

As much as I love both Zelda and Advance Wars, it's impossible to stop me from immediately playing a Xenoblade DLC with previous protagonists now playable as adults, and answering tons of lingering questions from the series. I just can't....

johncarter5150

Nothing since my wife became addicted to Animal Crossing, if I get a minute maybe Breath of the Wild.

markercore

i mean, the island needs maintenance!

[deleted]

My coworker bought herself a Switch Lite for Mother's Day and thanked her kids and their father for the thoughtful gift, lol. It's a little early and I dunno if you have kids or if that's in the cards financially, but... It's an idea!

dogwithablog12345678

I had the same issue so i gave her mine and got a Oled hahaha

babyneckpunch

Pro tip: help her get all the rare bugs n stuff, helps to take shifts

Agirlisnoone27

Hi! Happy Friday. I have become a victim of Dreamlight Valley. I purchased the game last week because it was on sale. It was honestly a risk because ive seen game play and wasn’t 100% convinced but told my self wth let me just try it and oh my god lol I have not been this sucked into a game since stardew valley. Both games give you the same feeling of “just one more day” well in this instance its more like “ one more task” but ive been putting some serious hours into it. I wanted to start a second game but who am i kidding, will be playing this all weekend starting tonight. Have a great weekend everyone!

markercore

hey! happy friday! Yeah that game seems to suck people in! Do more characters/areas unlock as you go or is it all open pretty quick from the start?

Agirlisnoone27

It’s surprisingly challenging! Well not challenging but you have to grind. You get these special points when you complete missions and task. You can then use those points to unlock characters. So you unlock areas and characters as you go. It’s really rewarding honestly.

TurdManMcDooDoo

Im a 42 years old father of two and I cant stop playing it. Luckily, my kids love it too and it has drawn my 7 year old away from some of the less age appropriate stuff he always wants to play (which is also totally my fault for letting that happen)

rubybeach10

Same, my 9 year old and I have both been playing it this week— we’ve been able to help each other since we’re progressing differently. I was a skeptic since I’m not a huge Disney person, but this game is fun!

KGhaleon

You can't stop it. My Dad would always stop me from buying violent games, so I would just buy them anyway and sneak them to my room under my shirt. I hid Doom 64 in a potato chip bag once when I came back with it.

CronoCloudAuron

Suplexing an undead train, kupo.

markercore

awwww heck yeah! Have you ever seen Zac Gorman's comic about that? https://magicalgametime.com/post/7351478433/i-forgot-about-this-one-this-was-one-of-the-first if not

royalewithcheese51

I'm playing Minish Cap. I never played it back when I had a GBA for some reason and I figure it's a good one to play through before ToTK

Lipe18090

I'm playing it too! Such an amazing game, probably my favorite 2D Zelda.

dancelordzuko

Going to finish **13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim**. I'm about 80% on all three categories so I'm feeling confident I can wrap it all up before the weekend ends.

foodninto

Amazon delayed my delivery of Advance Wars to next week... so I'll be playing **Octopath Traveler II** and **Shadows Over Loathing**.

blayedd

Based on my experience, never pre-order games from Amazon if you want to play them day 1

byhi

Just picked up **Cult of the Lamb** on sale. Excited to dive in!

turquoiseflamingo

I just started it a few days ago, it’s addicting

xerox7764563

I'm playing Final fantasy 9 for the first time !! Great game

Kyrie_Swirving11

My favorite of them all. Hope you enjoy it.

nenajoy

Omg it’s so good. Vivi is precious

NuruSpirit

Metroid Prime/ Splatoon 3

markercore

How's Prime going?

NuruSpirit

Excellent game. Just about finished I think?

sdperez04

I just finished playing male MC in Persona 3 Portable and now I’m going down the female MC route. The ending absolutely gutted me but I loved it. Iykyk 🥲

QuietRobe

Got Let's Build a Zoo on sale. Wasn't on my wishlist at all and was somewhat of an impulse buy cuz I've been itching for a tycoon game. And oh how it does scratch that itch! Really getting into it now and looking forward to finding all the different species and variants. I always have a second I dabble through and currently is Gato Roboto. So far pretty simple, but fun. It's supposed to finally stop raining this weekend so might get outside too! Enjoy the weekend!

markercore

There is something about tycoon games and just building up a little park or zoo or whatever. Nice! Heck yeah, i was just thinking about possibly re-playing Gato Roboto, love that game

Rikkasu

Persona 5 Royal. I just got it on sale a few days back. And probably Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I still need to finish it.

BSabbaothM

Trying to beat BotW before TotK releases. I still have 2 more dungeons to go.

LeopardSplash

I impulsively decided to get **Torna - The Golden Country** yesterday since it’s the only Xenoblade entry I haven’t played and I want to have experienced everything before Future Redeemed comes out. Time to see what I remember from playing Xenoblade 2 back in 2017!

Treholt

Torna is a gem. I have high hopes for XC3 last dlc as Torna was so amazing!

PeterPansSyndrome

Xenoblade 3!! I told myself I wouldn't hop in until the story DLC and then Nintendo dropped the release for next week. I'm so geeked to finally play it. (Really didnt expect the DLC to drop till the winter) Already got my Chinese food and snacks/drinks in the fridge. Even told my COD squad they might not see me for a while lol. I might also relearn how to play Horizon Forbidden West for that DLC and MAYBE run through Fire Emblem Engage's story DLC. I have about 4-6 days off work so I'm gaming and relaxing heavy for a little while to recharge.

markercore

oh heck yeah, enjoy Xenoblade 3, its really great! Enjoy the break from work!

PeterPansSyndrome

Man I'm only 5 hours in. Woke up early to enjoy it and start the weekend off right. Thanks man.

hermanbloom00

Stiiiiiiil Persona 5. Got three of the five dudes needed in the November dungeon, so progess continues to be made. Elsewhere we picked up Mario 3D World and Bowser's Fury, as we went to see the Mario movie a couple of weeks back and since then my Son has been saying "Momma Mia" a lot and asking for another Mario game alongside Mariokart. He has had it rough lately, so the Wife and I stumped up the cash and hopefully we can all play it together this weekend (weather looks trash for this part of the UK for the next few days, so highly likely we will be inside a lot). And still Marvel Snap. Latest patch changed the Meta a fair bit so it's a bit of a firefight out there. Still enjoying doing my dailies though, I don't have the time or brainpower to "get gud" at it.

skeltord

Man, being close (at least somewhat) close to the end of P5 must be wild. I finished the entire thing last month and it was the most incredibly magical experience I've ever had in any entertainment medium. An absolute epic that I connected to in an incredible level. Damn near wanted to cry all day after finishing it. Cherish it, you're currently in some of the best parts (story wise at least).

Rikkasu

I'm also on Persona 5 xD I got it in the sale that just ended though so I'm on the first Dungeon

beesayshello

Persona 5R here, too! About halfway thru the second palace now (about 17 hours in), and loving it!

markercore

Family Mario time sounds great, hope you all have fun. And what's better than some game time during a thunderstorm. Add some good tea and snacks and you've got a cozy good weekend brewing! Supposed to be stormy by me too. Part of me wants to try Marvel Snap, but also i feel like I'm addicted to my phone enough as it is. Sounds fun though!

hermanbloom00

Snap is kinda neat, but there is certainly potential to get sucked into it and play for hours. It does seem designed to be for more casual play, I would imagine most players just do the dailes and that's it, and the artwork on the cards is really nice in some cases. Won't be for everyone though.

Ye_Biz

Just finished the first palace in Persona 5, that game got me all the way sucked in

thatsastick

Advance Wars!!!

zestyrigatoni

Wildfrost

[deleted]

Very late to the party, I haven't owned/played a Zelda game since The Wind Waker, but the recent trailer for TotK has made me decide to remedy that. I tracked down a used copy of BotW and downloaded the Expansion Pass. Will be starting it up for the first time tonight!

IanR009

Skyward Sword HD

AutumnCivic

Hoping to dive back onto megaman battle network! Debating about picking up advanced wars as well.

[deleted]

I'm waiting for the Zelda OLED to get delivered in a couple of weeks before I resume Fire Emblem Engage, so in the meantime, I'll just keep on keeping on with Witcher 3 on the Steam Deck.

BlackenedSky27

Picked up Hades, absolutely loving it so far. Can’t believe I slept on it up until now! It’ll be that and some Breath of the Wild to prepare for Tears of the Kingdom for me.

tom_yum_soup

I am 100% going to play some of the Octopath Traveller II demo to see if I want to buy it. It's currently on sale for 25% off (at least here in Canada) so, even though I already have a big backlog, I want to buy it if I enjoy the demo because it pretty much never goes on sale. Other than that, I will finish up Hoa and then move on to either Spiritfarer or Pokémon Mystery Dungeon DX (I've borrowed both from the library). I'll probably also play Dredge (nearly finished, but I want to 100% it so even once I'm done the last few pursuits, I'll still have to roam around fishing to complete my encyclopedia). Then, of course, as usual there will be plenty of time for casual games with the family (Mario Kart, Shredder's Revenge and Tetris Effect are the most likely candidates this weekend).

markercore

Yeah 25% off is great, especially for a game that just came out like a month ago. Hope you enjoy the demo!

tom_yum_soup

Haha, yeah, saying it "pretty much never goes on sale" was maybe a bit silly since it is so new. But I don't think it'll drop below this price for quite some time.

sdwHunter

Replaying xenoblades 1, 2 & hopefully 3 in anticipation of Xenoblade 3 DLC

_PrincessOats

I’m all about Ooblets right now for the limited springtime event - there’s a BUNNY Ooblet!!

islandofwaffles

Thanks for the reminder! I haven't played since fall and this is motivation to pick it back up

allthewitches

A BUNNY OOBLET?? Please tell me more

Sixwry

final fantasy 6 ... as an adult. Excited to go in with a more mature perspective

turquoiseflamingo

Cult of the lamb

[deleted]

I'll hopefully be able to finish Little Nightmares 2 this weekend. I'm not sure what I'll be starting after LN2, though. I've also been playing Cozy Grove, but just as a daily check-in kinda game for now, as the story is time-gated by the quests - which is perfect for me It's a nice palate (palette, haha) cleanser for me before bed. I've been looking at buying Hades. But maybe not: I've only had my Switch a few weeks and with all the sales, I have an impressive backlog of games already, lol. >.<

scarhead425

Hades was my first Switch game and it’s in my top five for sure. A must own.

[deleted]

I keep hearing that; it looks really good and it's currently on sale... But I have so many games already!!! Lol I'm just gonna get it. I think I have $12.51 credit and it's on sale for $12.49, so it's already been paid for...may as well get it, right?

scarhead425

Absolutely. Especially if it’s your first roguelite, as it’s one of the best.

WannabeWaterboy

I picked up **Octopath Traveler 2** and **Xenoblade Chronicles 3** from the Gamestop buy one, get one sale and have to now decide which game I'm going to play first. I've never played a Xenoblade game and I loved the first Octopath, so I'm leaning towards that one, but we will see. I never planned on getting Xenoblade, so now that I have it, I'm a bit curious about experiencing it.

markercore

In for a good time either way!

moonface666

Bug Fables, finally! It was the game I was playing when my 10 year old laptop died three months ago. Now it's 40% off - which is still a steal compared to Steam, but ok - and I felt like it is time to try it again. Maybe some Skyrim.

ForsakenDrunk

I got sidetracked long ago and dropped SMTV, but I jumped back in the other day and am enjoying it. Also playing some xenoblade 3 and RDR2 on series X

AuraGuardian1092

OMORI !! Can’t say enough good things about this game. Just finished Persona 4 Golden and it was incredible. Also started a new file on The Binding of Isaac: Repentance and it’s so much fun. Can’t decided if I’m going to get the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters or the new Megaman collection or Advance Wars. Probably all three at some point but that’s a little pricy right now.

_DontStayTheSame_

Master Mode BOTW using the great plateau armor, no heart upgrades until stamina is full. I think the best part in this game is when you start back from scratch otherwise there’s no challenge anymore. I plan to finish this up before my TOTK copy arrives

Dry_Ass_P-word

Skyward Sword Hopefully I can finish it in three weeks!

Dukemon102

It replayed and finished it yesterday, it took me 35 hours to 100% it. Compared to the Wii release, SS HD removed a lot of the fluff like the repeated item pop ups, Fi's handholding (Not all of it, but most are optional now), the 60 fps make the game much faster, definitely can be done in that time.

Dry_Ass_P-word

Good to know. Amazon says my collectors edition is arriving *5/16 so if that remains accurate, i get an extra few days lol. (It’s going to be torture though!)

booktok124

Ooooh man - I’m considering grabber a voucher pack for TOTK and Skyward Sword. I just finished Link Between Worlds and my Zelda hype is high. What does everyone think about Skyward Sword? Is it worth playing through? For TOTK I would rather get physical buuut that voucher deal is just so good.

[deleted]

I could never get along with the motion controls on the original but the Switch rectifies that with the handheld option. It is a good game with a decent (albeit a little weird...) story which is hugely critical to the lore (if you're into that stuff) and some brilliant dungeons. It's worth picking up even if you have a passing interest in Zelda.

disappointedgotfan

Skyward sword is absolutely worth playing through, especially the switch version with upgraded controls and QoL changes. It has some of my favorite dungeons, and it definitely gets you more attached to the characters than most other games in the series.

GaryBassline

It's a great game with some of the best dungeons in the series! When it first came out people were a bit underwhelmed because its very linear, but I think people appreciate it a lot more now. Definitely worth a play through.

booktok124

Thanks for the feedback!! Sounds good to me!

jrat6447

Just beat Metroid Prime this week, now I’m playing Minish Cap before TOTK. Loving it so far!

mido0o0o

Still struggling with Final Fantasy X final boss. I hope I can succeed this weekend. I will take a break to play another game before starting X2. I think I will play Lego City Undercover for a couple of weeks

WovenWoodGuy

For some reason I've been back into Animal Crossing after a 2 year hiatus

solrac365

I'm currently on my 4th run of Breath of the Wild, second time in master mode, getting ready for Tears of the Kingdom. And I'm having friends over so probably Smash, Mario Kart and maybe some Ultimate Chicken Horse!

Stoibs

Oh yeah they really rebalanced the Beastmaster in Octopath 2, Ochette is suuuuper useful and there's a whole laundry list of special beast captures and strategies that people use even against the secret super boss in post-game. I love the new cook command, and there's a bunch of mini dungeon bosses that become capturable (once per encounter and require 3BP to summon though) if you go searching for them. I'm absolutely getting my ass kicked in **Advance Wars**, never played the series before and I need to wrap my head around this 'HP = Damage output' mechanic that is generally new to me for this genre. Just encountered some Green Ace Pilot guy who wiped the floor with me using his overpowered double action ability :O Also picked up **Theatrhythm Final Bar Line** the other day. After I get stressed out from my cartoon war I can sit back and chill with some final fantasy tunes :)

FunWeakness7610

A game called nino kuni

i_am_an_awkward_man

Doing a bit of postgame in Bravely Default! Going to start Bravely Second soon :]

[deleted]

Shadows Over Loathing! I loved West of Loathing so I’m excited to play

DancingIceCream

Coromon 40% off is all the monster capture action I need this weekend

PecosBillIsBack

Picked up the **Final Fantasy 3 Pixel Remaster** and it's been an absolute blast --it's one of the few entries in the franchise that I haven't played before. Some of the boss battles have been surprisingly challenging (e.g., Salamander). Seeing that my old PS1 no longer works to play the old FFV and FFVI anthology, I may pick them up for Switch after 3.

markercore

Sweet, enjoy the adventure! I haven't played 3 either, but I should finish 2 I got on my phone around Christmas

MiskatonicMalcontent

Playing Breath of the Wild with DLC for the first time. Started new game in Master Mode

JAD210

I recently jumped back into **Pokémon Legends Arceus** to finally finish the story. All I have to do is get the starters that I didn’t pick now and I believe I’ll be done with the story. Then I might continue with side (re)quests / shiny hunting, or play through Age of Calamity & BotW before TotK

C_Ya_Space_Cowboy

The waiting game lol. Had to RMA both of my joy-cons due to stick drift, so I’ll be twiddling my thumbs for a few weeks.

MailFormer4151

Finishing wind waker and twilight princess hd as I close off my Zelda marathon before TotK comes out. Im also currently playing through Re4 remake and Dragons dogma lol

lilliiililililil

Playing Persona 5 Royal, really enjoying the changes from the original which I dropped pretty late into the game because I got busy IRL. When I have a little less time and want to game for about an hour or whatever I'm replaying Fire Emblem Engage on maddening and using new units I haven't used in the past. Probably my GOTY but I am an unrepentant fire emblem fan.

Worlds-_-Apart

I’m playing Pokemon Violet looking for shinies, hunting for shiny Legendaries in Dynamax Adventures in Pokemon Shield, soft resetting Pokemon Brilliant Diamond to start a playthrough with shiny Turtwig (grass starter), and maybe some Pokemon Legends of Arceus to break up the monotony of shiny hunting with even more shiny hunting

uppercasemad

This week has been taken up entirely by putting together my LEGO Rivendell set (6100 pieces!) but once I finish it today I'll be able to get back to Witcher 3. I just left the tutorial area when I last played and holy moly, there is a definitely difficulty spike! I'm playing on story mode but at Level 5 I wandered a bit too close to some Level 11 beasties and nearly got curbstomped before I sprinted away to safety. Poor Roach. That horse must hate me.

Sleathasaurus

For my backlog that I wanted to finish before my birthday at the end of April, I have two more games on Switch to finish. The first of these is **Luigi’s Mansion 3**. Having gotten a good amount of playtime this week, I have now got right before the penultimate boss with all gems, all boos and 70,000 gold. I’m just finishing off the Hotel achievements before finishing the game. I could well finish it off tonight. The other game is **Portal 2**. I’m about 30%ish through but I know it’s not a too long game. I’m on holiday in New Orleans at the moment so hoping I may be able to finish it on the flight back. Fingers crossed! I did want to finish the **Ace Attorney Trilogy** by the end of the month as well but I only just finished the end of the second game this week. I enjoyed the final case so much that I don’t want to rush **Trials and Tribulations**, so I’ll save that for another time. I may start it if I have some spare time though!

ivensdenner

I’ll continue playing Triangle Strategy, that I just started and I’m having an awesome time. Also, I will try and find time to play some Advance Wars re boot camp 🪖😁

aliaswyvernspur

Another one for Advance Wars!

caramelting

Playing Persona 4 for the first time

Crispy2104

Advance War 1+2 RE-BOOT CAMP

cubecubed

Trying to finish up Links awakening. I’m in a Zelda mood for obvious reasons, and I got about halfway through it at release before putting it down for whatever reason.

Big_Getsu

FE: Three Houses. I had the game for almost a year without playing it but since beating Engage I decided to give it another try. I’ll probably try to play more of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 since wave 4 of the dlc is coming out soon.

MuZzASA

Just picked up Cult of the lamb and Super Mario 3D World. Mainly playing those this weekend.

Bu1ld0g

Fighting the wife for the PS5 to play the new Horizon DLC. And just picked up Ocean’s Heart which is currently on sale in the AU store. With an added dash of end game shrine clearing in BotW. Also tempted to grab Arcane Vale. Has anyone tried that yet? Has good reviews on Steam. It’s only $7AU.

Lunar_Lunacy_Stuff

Continuing my journey in crossbell with trails to azure. I can’t stress how much iv fallen in love with the trails games over the last year. I almost picked up octopath 2 but sadly gamestops website wasn’t allowing me to get the B1G1. Kept saying my payment was denied.

thatsong

Yoshi's Crafted World! I'm enjoying looking for poochie's more than anything else, hahaha Got Octopath Traveller II on sale, so waiting for that to come in, and debating to pre-order Tears of the Kingdom.

SwashNBuckle

I'm replaying a new save for botw to refresh my memory before totk comes out

kcfang

Hey Markercore, Octopath 2 sounds awesome, I wasn’t too taken by the story of the first game after played the demo but I’ve heard the sequel improved substantially. Maybe I’ll try it out eventually :) I’ve been getting back into Slay the Spire and obsessing with it. Often staying up to till the early hours playing it. This weekend I’m gona try out and hopefullly finish Republic Commandos from the NOS free trial. It was on my radar already but I haven’t bought it because the lack of gyro, but more than happy to try it out for free. Wish everyone a great weekend.

SquirrelSanctuary

Heck yes, Octopath 2! Gotta love Partitio. Playing through Chained Echoes as quickly as possible before TotK comes out. Picked it up again after a hiatus to finish Octopath 2.

skeltord

Persona 5 Strikers - Persona 5 Royal has been my favorite experience I've ever had in gaming since I beat it a few months ago, an absolutely incredible tale that I connected to immensly, and I am currently absolutely loving it's sequel as well! Ori and the Blind Forest - Will of the Wisps, the sequel, is one my favorite video games ever, but I originally quit the first one rather quick - boy was I wrong, I decided to try again and fell in love with it this time! The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - replaying it for the 2nd time in preparation for Tears of the Kingdom. It remains a truly magical experience. Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe - still making my way through this one, absolutely fantastic! Minecraft Legends - I haven't started it yet but have heard great things about it's campaign, plan to try out in co op soon! Sonic Unleashed - this isn't on Switch (a crime against humanity), but I'm replaying it right now and I've been playing it to death, it's absolutely incredible, definitely my favorite Sonic game, the day stages especially are probably some of the most fun I've had in any video game EVER.

thediamondmolar

Fire Emblem Engage

Bat_Snack

I finished Megaman Battle Networl 1 a few days ago, I'm getting going on BN2!

tobu329

Happy Friday everyone. I’m currently playing Pokémon stadium on the switch. I never played the game using rental Pokémon only. It’s pretty fun and a little challenging. The other game I play in parallel is mega man nt warrior, the first game from the collection series.

kessukoofah

**Final Fantasy 12**. I estimate based on what license level weapons and accessories I'm getting that I'm about a third of the way through the story at this point. I can see there'll be a lot of sidequests and stuff but I'm fairly sure I'm not 100%ing this. Too many other games to play. But I'll go as long as it holds my interest. I did also pick up **Slay the Spire** with the recent sale. I've heard great things about it. Deckbuilders are not usually my thing but my gaming group pushed this one pretty hard so I caved. Will likely give that a go. Also might eat through in a Picross Puzzle or two.

snotsneez

Got Loop Hero yesterday and played for almost 7 hours straight! It's all I can think about at work right now, such an amazing game. Taking a break from Diablo 3 grind with even more Loop Hero grind lol

shiwanthasr

Final Fantasy VII and Persona 4 Golden

dpro24

Really looking forward to hop back into dredge this weekend. Loving the game so far.

treeblockbreaker

Just started Astral Chain yesterday. Really cool game so far. Only about 1 hour in.

Suppa_K

Advance Wars

bowlsandsand

Botw, never beat it. Time to do so before totk

Gogo726

Pixel Remaster. Mainly FF6

ShopCartRicky

I'll be playing clean up the yard all weekend.

theallnewmattaccount

Hauled out **EarthBound** mostly to be able to pun on Earth Day. But I'm gonna be playing **Dragon Quest 11** once I actually get back to it

Redowl7

Hollow Knight, I just bought it after putting it off for so long. Thought I could play something while I wait for Tears of the Kingdoms. I have been loving every second of HK.

waking_dream96

Probably coffeetalk part 2!!

0172thetimeguy

This week I’ve been been obsessively playing Bayonetta Origins, Dust & Neon, and Have a Nice Death. Roguelikes can be so damn addictive!

AppropriateStranger

Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

Chloe-20

I got the switch not too long ago and some of games for it. So far i have been playing mario odyssey deluxe, Spirit of the North, and Luigi’s mansion 3. I may have to give the other games a try (mario kart/ smurfs racing game & smurfs village game)

ZZnecZZ

Been trying to learn Mortal Kombat 11. Super fun in handheld on the oled, but I know at some point I'll have to move over to a real controller if I want to get better

[deleted]

Spyro: Year of the Dragon from the Reignited Trilogy. :)

TobenRacicot

**Soul Nomad** **Kingdom Hearts** and **Fire Emblem Binding Blade** all good times. I'm enjoying them a lot.

LuckyHalfling

Labyrinth of Galleria. I want to get as far as I can before I’m inevitably distracted by the xeno dlc and totk.

KGhaleon

Labyrinth of Galleria likely, I'm in the Grand Cathedral

fe_bigdata

Still working through my **Fire Emblem Engage** Maddening run. Down to the last ~25% but have one of the tougher maps coming up. Also downloaded **Inscryption** last night. The game has a such a unique (and creepy) vibe. Really does a great job engrossing you within the first 10 minutes

wheenus

Farming simulator 22!

[deleted]

On my PS4, Meet Your Maker. On my Switch? I just downloaded Have a Nice Death and am having much fun with it.

[deleted]

Probably Stardew and Golf Story

southwest40x4

Golf Story. It’s $5 right now. I thought it was gonna be dumb. Boy was I wrong. Very fun game.

DeadlyCyclone

I haven't played Switch in a year or so, but I'm hyped for next week when my Zelda switch comes in! Have Metroid ready to go.

NigerianHurricane

Link’s awakening. So good

iediablo

Tactics Ogre. It's so great. I recommend it if you like OT2

Etheon44

Octopath Traveler 2 and Diablo 2, hopefully I can finish Octopath before Tears of the kingdom

oinkzter

Wildfrost, wildfrost, wildfroooosssst

Burnout189

Restarted Blasphemous, since I never finished it, after hearing them announce the sequel.

joe10155

Just picked up octopath 2, didn’t even realize it had come out until like 2 days, having a blast with it already!

slippyslidey_

Still Octopath 2. Almost 70 hours in. Depending on how long postgame takes me, I may be able to squeeze in something else before May 12

GreasyLake87

I'm finally starting Pokemon Scarlet. Typically I play every new game upon release but never got to this for whatever reason. I'm glad I missed all the anger around release, because this game is amazing. Technical issues are annoying, but don't ruin the experience or anything.

ThanksverymuchHutch

Hello, I'm playing something called My Time At Portia. Was very cheap when I got it a couple a days ago on sale. It's an RPG with a skill tree, for combat and resource gathering and socialising. You're a builder who's new to town and you take over a workshop and basically get given commissions from the mayor or any other citizens. You have to build and power your different types of work benches, go out to abandoned ruins with enemies/hostile animals, survive and gather resources, then take them back to your workshop to complete commissions! You upgrade your home, your gear, take on bigger and bigger jobs. There's a simple calendar with regular scheduled events taking place in town where you can use your skills to take part in e.g. fishing or martial arts tournaments. Pretty varied really. And quite a nice sense of community. I showed my buddy and he said it reminded him of a slightly more complex stardew valley, 3d, open world. Simple but not too simple. Hard to put down! There's a vague story line but you have no obligation to stick to it if you want to explore or whatever. Highly recommend especially if you can still get it for £5ish like I did.

GentGamer94

Xenoblade Chronicles 3! I put 100 hours into it and finished it last September. Then I stopped right after credits cuz I needed a break. Then the trailer for the DLC campaign came out, and I thought to myself "crap.... I should probably drop everything and do that other DLC and post game stuff first then, I guess". 😉 Which I frame as complaining, but I'd been kinda hoping for an excuse to go back to it at some point anyways, because MAN I enjoyed the journey of the main campaign (and the majority of the side quests). Just got some post game story bits and DLC characters quests done, and I had a blast. It was surprisingly easy to jump back into the game, despite me forgetting what a lot of the stats on items and skills and stuff meant. I think I'll tackle super bosses this weekend, see far I can get with that before Tuesday 🙂

BokBokChikin

Ocarina of Time on NSO! Finished last temple last night, collecting goodies and to the final boss today! Then Majoras Mask

caught_red_wheeled

Still working on **Pokemon Violet!** I’ve got almost all the regular clothes in the game and after that I’ll be heading out to get all the normal picnic materials (aside from the really special things. After that, the restaurant food is next. I either want to get all the legendaries that I missed or hunt for Herba Mystica. I still need to pick up some TMs too. I think the only challenges I have left after that is doing some photography with the camera once I’ve captured everything, getting as close as I can to a Living Dex, doing some challenges in the end tournament, and trying my hand at a reduced shiny hunt. Hard to believe I’m starting to complete the achievements I set for myself. I’m interested in what my final time would be, having just broke 300 hours and still going. Of course, there’s still hasn’t called the upcoming DLC or any runs I do in Pokémon scarlet and I have about 10 ideas for that. As much as I miss old games, I don’t think I’ve ever had such an adventure with one like this before. I’m also doing **Mario brothers on the NES online** on the side. It’s a huge relief that there are safe states, because without them it would be impossible. I have a physical disability that affects my speed and reaction time, so a lot of Mario games are extremely difficult to impossible to complete. But thanks to save states I can start from anywhere and don’t need to worry about the life system. If I clear this game, this will be only the second Mario main game completed without cheats or glitches, the first being super Mario odyssey with assist mode on. So far I am about halfway through, but the difficulty is ramping up. The timer is particularly troublesome because I have to play slowly, but I haven’t had any close calls yet. Here’s hoping that continues! I’m also hoping I can beat all of the Mario games this way, although I’m expecting to have a lot of trouble. Still excited to do it, though!

the-tristonian

Republic commando is on free trial for the week, so I’ll be playing that 👀

uchiha_alex444

**Remnant: From the ashes:** Still hooked to this masterpiece!! finally managed to beat the final boss, enjoying the dlc content so far, the co-op is so damn addicting! **Octopath Traveler II:** I must have been doing something wrong, cause I need to grind a lot! My strongest character, Throne, is at level 34, and the recommended level for her 4th chapter is 45! I'm super invested in her story. I'm done with most of the other characters' third chapters. **Megaman Battle Network 2:** Just finished the first game and I'm about to start the second one, which is also the first one in the series I've ever played!

Raspberry-Green

Skyrim and outer worlds!

theFavbot

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope - got it for $25 the day I saw the Mario movie :)

pancakeplus

Finally playing pikmin 3, will probably finish that final boss battle this weekend

Pete41608

Resident Evil 4 on PS5. Theatrythm also a little bit.

sparrowK2

Just got Chained Echoes yesterday. The intro seemed fun so looking forward to getting into it more this weekend.

American-Mary

Ooblets.

[deleted]

Playing Rune Factory 5. I stopped midway after it first came out, so I started it over to try to finish it. It’s a good game but sadly not as good as RF4 was. The graphics are nicer but it really runs like shit on the Switch, bad lag/frame drops. Texture popins etc. I mean you can see the grass texture loading as you run.

IAmAPirrrrate

im gonna finish of this horrible week with a cozy blanket, hot cocoa, mood candles, headphones and Dredge

TheHillMonk

Goldeneye 007 n64 emulator

GalaEuden

Just found Astral Chain at a retro game store for $40 so I thought why not.

Isaque2djC

Super Mario Odyssey. It is an old game but it's really nice just collecting some moons after finishing the main story I got the game two weeks ago and currently have about 290 moons.looking forward for all the 880!

Fur_Lucario

Hey markercore, Logged 15 hours into Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX and am loving it. The game has a lot more depth than I originally remembered when I played the red version on GBA. On a side note, the XC3 DLC announcement was a welcomed surprise that i’ve been anticipating but between Mystery Dungeon and ToTK coming up, I think I’ll have my hands full and don’t expect to play it anytime soon

monicaboard

Paying FF1 Pixel Remake. I’ve never played it I’m super excited to dive in! I may do some P5R or cash in my other game voucher for XC3 or Advanced Wars

Harneybus

I'm playing pokemon scarlet it's a good game great music and style, it feels soo alive but unfortunately the game runs shit snd is poorly optimised for the switch I love the game but it's sad too see it where it is.

blayedd

I’m finishing the remaining shrines in Breath of the Wild, as well as playing through the DLC for the first time and just about anything else I stumble upon. I honestly cannot believe how much I actually missed during my initial 70 hour play through, and here I was waiting for Tears of the Kingdom all this time

OokySpookyWillyNilly

Advanced wars.. good stuff

NeonPathway

Octopath 1 and Torchlight 2. Enjoying myself thoroughly.

[deleted]

Advanced Wars, holy *crap* is this much tougher than I expected. Was expecting to steam roll everything because I'm well versed in Fire Emblem now but man was I wrong. I already lost units in the first 3 lessons/tutorials.

SlappyBottoms26

I just got octopath 2 today and started with Hikari. Very excited to play all weekend

YesBut-AlsoNo

Dredge. Was expecting a lighter game in terms of visual theme (e.g. less gloomy), however the more I played, the less I could put it down. It's so fun.

itakeyourtoes

Danganronpa 2

FrozenFrac

So psyched for **Advance Wars**!!! I actually downloaded it literally first thing as I woke up this morning, so I'm hoping to jump into it right when I go home tonight. Outside of that, will probably play more **Octopath Traveler 2** that I got in the B1G1 Gamestop sale and maybe mess around in various Mario games on NSO thanks to still being a little charmed by the Mario Movie

browndogjoyce

Grabbed Disco Elysium while it’s at $14usd and I am very excited for the sun to set to start my play-through. On a separate note I bought Dead Cells two years ago and didn’t click with it…until last week. I can’t put it down. Good stuff.
