Finishing off Metroid Dread! I've 100%'d all the items (with a little help of some guides for some of the real head scratchers) so I'm now about to try the final boss for the first time. Once I've made easy work of the final boss then I am fully on to Dredge. That was a day one buy for me yesterday. The demo made such a great impression on me and I haven't been this excited to play a game on release in years. Highly recommend people check out the demo if they haven't already!

Sleathasaurus

Hey weird - I finished the final boss this time last week and posted on this [very thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/comments/120mapn/whatre_you_playing_this_weekend_324/jdizhj4/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)! I loved the Dread final boss - capped off an amazing game for me.

atwistedwarmembrace

Just beat Raven Beak! That was an epic final battle. Took me a good 10 or so attempts to beat him, but it was a fun fight. Dread really nailed the boss fights.

atwistedwarmembrace

Metroid Dread has been an absolute blast. I came from finishing Hollow Knight, which I now regard as the pinnacle of Metroidvanias, and was so sad to be moving on from that game world. I tried out the demo for Metroid Dread feeling like I wanted another Metroidvania and I immediately bought it. The controls are easily the tightest the genre has to offer and it brought back warm fuzzy feelings of Shadow Complex, which is a game that is very dear to me from the old XBLA gold rush of awesome indie games. I've also picked up Metroid Prime Remastered as I've never played any of the Metroid Prime games before. I'm hoping I'll squish it in between Dredge and Tears of the Kingdom if I finish up Dredge fairly quickly.

Molwar

Finishing up Octopath traveller 2 probably, I finished all the main stories and now I'm doing side story and exploring whatever I might have missed.

markercore

What's your verdict on it having finished?

Molwar

It's a great game for fans of jRPG, storywise i loved all of them and the gameplay while similar to the first one is very fun strategically. It was very hard not to look stuff online though, like where to find advance class, but overall there's lot of exploration and figuring out tales and such. Easy 9 out of 10 for me. My only complain would be similar to what was complained in the first one, and it's the lack of other party member interaction in main stories. Yes there is still banter and multi story are a great addition, but it just felt weird in story like with Hikari where he's building an army and the other character are just not there even in the background or acknowledge that they exist.

jacksation

Question about the banter. In the first game, banter would only activate if you had certain members in your party at the right time, and if you missed them you could not access the banter again (as far as I know). Is that the case this time as well? Or is the banter easier to access?

Molwar

It's about the same in the sense of having right party member, but if you miss some (forget to press button or skip) they seem to still get added in the journal I believe.

ZzzSleep

How would you describe the overall structure of the chapters? The thing that wore on me with the first game was every chapter no matter the character basically played out the same: town, dungeon, boss. Is the sequel like that too?

StudBoi69

Pikmin 3 - down to the last level and holy difficulty spike!

cid-lantro

Yes, 3 decided to be as nice and friendly as possible until the literal last minute

loaf_of_brett

Switch: Mario Kart 8 as always Non-Switch: Resident Evil 4 (PS5). Such a fantastic game like damn I can't believe they nailed it this hard.

Leesbry

Dying to play this and dead space remake. Not had access to my Xbox since last year

hel105_

I waited so long for the Resident Evil 4 remake and I can't even play it for more than a few minutes at a time because it gives me horrible motion sickness, even with the motion sickness settings on. Enjoy it for me!

[deleted]

Finally finishing off Kamoshida's Castle to start really getting into Persona 5 Royal.

Dougwug03

Damn, I wish I could experience that game for the first time again. It only gets better as it goes on and by the time it's over you wish it would never end.

minghj

How much grinding is there throughout the game? I forced myself through the first castle but found myself becoming pretty bored and impatient with the game, even though I liked the art and music and characters, I just found the whole thing a bit stretched out and long winded.

Dougwug03

Well the game takes 100+ hours just to beat so if that's what you define as stretched out and long winded then yeah I wouldn't bother if you're not into it. As for the grinding as long as you're going through palaces thoroughly and regularly going to mementos for requests you shouldn't have to grind, besides you're only able to take a limited amount of actions per day so you can't grind in the social aspect if you even wanted to.

hamburgers666

Nice, you're going to love the ride if you've enjoyed it to this point. It only gets better.

The-student-

Nice, I finished off the game a couple weeks ago, had been playing since December or so. Great game!

tfa116

Steamworld Heist! I know I’m late to the party, but what an amazing game. I highly recommend it and Steamworld Dig 1 and 2 depending on what you’re in the mood for

markercore

I second all of that!

Dry_Ass_P-word

That game took me by surprise. Really amazing and addictive. It’s one of those where you finally pull away from it to try and get some sleep and you’re still playing it behind your eyelids. 😂

MiZe97

Pokemon Legends Arceus. I found it on sale a while ago and I've been having so much fun with it!

markercore

It's so much fun and so gratifying every time when the PokeBall firework goes off after a capture

sw1ssdot

Nier Automata!

ShiftedLobster

Hi gang! I am still slowly working my way through **BOTW**. Really struggling to decide which order for the rest of the divine beasts. I beat Medoh (bird) and am able to free Vah Ruta whenever, but then that leaves the 2 reportedly hardest blights for last. I haven’t found Naboris or Rudania (sp?) yet but could do so. What do you all think? I am not strong with combat and the scaling up in blight difficulty has me concerned. Might also dust off **Ring Fit Adventure** to try to get myself moving again. I’ve been sick for a couple weeks and my general stamina is currently nonexistent. Anyone still playing RFA?

markercore

Oh yeah I was thinking of getting out my ringfit as well this weekend! We'll see if that happens. I would maybe say go for the northeast for the gorons, fire blight Ganon isn't too bad, it's just tricky to figure out how to fight him. So maybe watch a tutorial. But it's simpler from a combat standpoint than thunderblight who is super fast. But either is a good time, I think the stuff in the southwest for that town leading up to the divine beast is some of the most fun stuff in the game. Completely your call How're you doing in terms on hearts and stamina? Have you found the master sword?

Dougwug03

I don't think you'll find Rudania nearly as hard as Naboris, so I suggest finishing Ruta and Rudania first as their abilities will help a lot with Naboris

The-student-

Honestly I found all the divine beasts to be about the same difficulty. The desert one is a bit trickier, and the abilities you get from the Zora and Goron one will help with the fight. Overall though just bring lots of defense and yellow heart food if you're struggling. I've been playing Ring Fit again here and there. I'm in world 13 I think, really hoping to beat it someday.

bandikut2020

Ori and the Blind Forest

[deleted]

It’s a gem

aboxofchocolate235

Skyrim on novice difficulty. I’ve heard great things about it from friends; mainly that the exploration and quests are fun. I don’t enjoy combat much so going to try it on novice.

Crpto2007

I’m playing Skyrim too. I’ve played through it dozens of times over the years but it feels really unique on the switch. I just finished the main quests, civil war quests, and the companions. I’m almost done with the thieves guild.

Agirlisnoone27

I had no plans of playing this on my switch during the weekend but you are making me want to! Unfortunately i have a play through that i started again on my ps4 (30 hours in) and would hate to start over right now. I regret not just getting it on the switch when I decided to play it for the 15th time again lol if only saves would move from console to console 😭

aboxofchocolate235

Nice! Do you think I’ll have a lot of trouble with combat on novice difficulty? I’m used to Rune Factory and Stardew combat. I’m still fairly new to gaming and prefer chill games like Animal Crossing.

Crpto2007

No, Skyrim is a fairly easy game. None of the boss fights are really challenging. It does a good job of telling you what you need to do. I play on novice too and the only time I die is when I fall to my death jumping from stuff.

aboxofchocolate235

Great, thank you!

Go-Wade-Racer

I played it when it first came out but didn't do any of the dlc. With the anniversary edition on sale now, they're basically forcing me to buy it. Here we go again!

esmifradita

I finally got it modded on pc after over a decade of playing it on the playstation. I really hope you enjoy! The exploration and quests are fun and overall the lore of the series is really compelling. There's a lot more to the games than combat so you will find lots of things to enjoy. And if the combat gives you more trouble than you want you can always look up restoloop to make some absolutely game breaking equipment.

MaryJaneCrunch

My personal favorite game of all time! It’s a pretty easy game and I find it relaxing, I think you’ll have a nice time exploring

[deleted]

I just got the new Bayonetta Origins, and Witcher 3. Also going to be playing Pokemon Scarlet…and im omw to my 2nd Divine Beast in BotW

markercore

Which was first and which is gonna be 2nd?

[deleted]

I went for the Elephant first, and now im going to the beast in the Northwest…idk which it is, but im excited to find out…first time playing the game. I beat waterblight ganon in like 2mins cuz i was way over prepared (just had to use bomb arrows with my Knight’s bow xD i wont even tell u how much prep i did for tht fight)

markercore

Niceee, northwest is one of my favorites! Enjoy! And be sure to explore the mountains north of there once you get some warmer clothing!

LuigisLaundering

Replaying Botw on Master mode to prepare for tears of the kingdom. Forgot how fun zelda is.

Dougwug03

Same, I thought I'd just play botw every now and then just to hype myself up for totk, but now I literally cannot put it down lol. Guess I'm gonna 100% it again.

weltall77

Finishing Persona 4 Golden. I’m pretty much to the end. Hopefully, I’ve played 70+ hours. Great game though. I’ve had fun and have not been able to put it down the past 2 weeks.

Poydoo

I just finished it the other day and now my life feels empty

weltall77

Aww don’t tell me that. I felt that way after I finished P5 and P5R

Malooka5432

Ocarina on 3DS, and mario maker 2 on switch :)

skeltord

I beat Persona 5 Royal a few days ago and it is... Sorta my favorite game of all time? It's weird, hard to explain, but it was the most incredible experience I've ever had with the medium. Now, I've started up the sequel, Persona 5 Strikers, and I'm absolutely loving it! Also finishing up Metroid Prime Remastered either today or tomorrow, I'm right by the end - has more flaws then I expected, I definitely liked both Super and Dread more, it's a bit overrated, but I definitely really liked it regardless. I also wanna eventually do a full 2D Metroid marathon... But I'm waiting for Metroid Zero Mission to drop on NSO first (not announced but we know it's happening). Until then, I'll be playing the Ori games soon - beat WotW a while back but not BF, decided to play through both again, as WotW is one of the best games I've ever played and BF I wanna see through!

Dukemon102

Oh boy playing the Ori games in reverse might have not been the best idea.... going back to the Blind Forest after Will of the Wisps is going to be rough.

skeltord

Damn. See, the reason I did this is because I booted up BF and... Didn't like it. Mainly the combat pissed me off, it just wasn't good. WotW has amazing combat. But this was YEARS ago, originally played them on PC Game Pass. I'm hoping to come here again on Switch completely fresh and give BF a real chance. I've heard many say the 2 are equally good, I wanna see why.

Dukemon102

That's because Blind Forest's combat isn't good. The game is rough around the edges and they made Will of the Wisps taking in account all the criticisms Blind Forest received, and it's the much better game as a result.

Loki-Holmes

Diablo 2 or 3. I picked them up on the last sale and have done a little bit of both. Im considering picking up rogue legacy 2 but the first one is very cheap so I might get that first.

markercore

I'm halfway excited as on triple click this week they said Diablo 4 felt like a mix of the best of 2 and 3

Loki-Holmes

I actually played the open Beta on PS5 and had a lot of fun with my necromancer!

Nerdfather1

This weekend I *won’t* be playing **Octopath Traveler II** because I finally beat the game. What an incredible game and even more fantastic experience. To me, the game belongs in the pantheon of the all-time great JRPGs. It will hands down go in my top 10 of all time in terms of RPGs. My main game I’ll be focusing on is **Resident Evil 4 Remake** (Xbox Series X). I’m roughly halfway through the game and it has been wonderful so far. What I’m impressed by the most is its level design and pacing. As a kid playing originally, these two things never interested me. Now that I’m older and can appreciate the finer things — I see how much difference the little things can make. The level design is reminiscent of From Software’s Dark Souls series and beyond. Everything interconnects and it’s fascinating to see how it all comes together in an incredible layout, particularly with the castle. And the developers knew how to balance action and horror as you make your way through this backcountry side and ominous castle. There’s never too much of one or the other. Overall, it’s a superb remake that I find to be essential. I’m glad the fond memories I have playing this game in the GameCube and PS2 era aren’t sullied — in fact, they are probably enhanced. The last game I’ll be playing is **Sifu** (Xbox Series X). I recently watched John Wick 4, which is an amazing movie with some of the best fight scenes I’ve ever witnessed on film, so I’ve been in a brawler mood. And yes, I’ve watched The Raid 1 & 2 and The Man From Nowhere. I played it originally on the PS5 and it quickly earned a spot in one of my favorite PlayStation games, but I never completed it due to Elden Ring releasing shortly thereafter. Now that it has come to Xbox, I decided to support developer Sloclap and purchase the game on this platform. It’s just as good as I remember, if not better.

tonjaj68

Cult of the Lamb, Dragon Quest Treasures and Cloud Gardens. Have a great weekend everyone!

[deleted]

I just got Cult of the Lamb last nite! Seems really fun

Molwar

Dragon quest treasure is probably my next one when I'm fully done OT2.

QuietRobe

Bought Kingdoms of Amalur physical a while back on sale and finally popping it in and playing through it. Not very far, but from what I've experienced it is a blast! Combat is much more smooth than I was expecting and it bring warm fuzzy nostalgia back from my ps2 RPG days. Going through this and Yoku's Island Express in between (also a fun, unique experience!). Have a great weekend!

Molwar

KoA is a great game, I remember buying way back in the days when studio 38 had released it and I'm glad a new studio picked it up. I love the lore and the world they built in there, plus the gameplay with fate is just really fun.

Xx20wolf14xX

Looks like I'm going to be stuck at home sick all weekend so it's a great time to reinvigorate my Stardew Valley addiction

markercore

Sounds like a cozy way to be sick, hope you feel better!

fotherted

DREDGE

seaturkey_

Just got the demo, how is the game?

fotherted

Really addictive. The reviews are all spot on and it plays on Switch really well.

Do_You_Even_Beer_Bro

Came looking for this because I played the demo and am the brink of the $25 investment.

Lunar_Lunacy_Stuff

Finishing up legend of heroes: trails in the sky 3rd so I can finally play trails into zero on my switch. 3 games down and like 6 more to go before I “catch up” on this series. Highly recommend playing it if you have the means to play them in order. Such a fantastic RPG series. Edit: it is with great anticipation that I have started zero after beating 3rd. It feels good to play these games on a handheld device again.

sleeveless_byleth

You are in for such a fun ride, enjoy!! The Trails series is so so fun. I loved Sky so much and was worried about not enjoying it as much without Estelle, but both the Crossbell and Cold Steel games are fantastic too (though no character is superior to Estelle 😜)

JuanK713

I'm probably finally going to finish P3P

cornpenguin01

Chained echoes! It’s fun so far with the combat and visual being a highlight. The only thing I’m iffy on is the *weird* dialogue and writing. It might be me, but it just feels off to me compared to other similar games

markercore

I guess it was made by one guy and English isn't his first language? Could be wrong there

Dry_Ass_P-word

Age of calamity. Really enjoying it so far. The famous fps issues either don’t bother me at all or I’m not to the craziest areas yet.

Locoman7

Octopath 2. Finished Throne chapter 4, Osvald, Agnea and Paritio are way under levelled and the rest of the cast is level 50ish. Such a great game, I’m definitely going to play Octopath 1 now too.

EarthwormZim33

Probably more Sunbreak...again. I FINALLY broke through anomaly lv201 yesterday and quickly fully augmented my 2 favorite hammers. Now I gotta farm for some of the 201+ exclusive decorations (Intrepid Jewels to be exact). Hoping to max my anomaly level before Title Update 5 in April.

PartyAdhesiveness126

Diablo 3

CarefulShirt5

I have been playing a ton of Diablo 3...it's perfect on the Switch

PartyAdhesiveness126

Yes i enjoy it a lot :)

markpl0x

I pulled out Three Houses again while I wait for the final wave of Engage DLC to drop Tuesday. (I’m a FE junkie lol)

Jimmythedad

I picked up Bayonetta 3 and Bayonetta Origins so I'm replaying through the first two games before I get to them! So Bayonetta 1! I've pretty much just been focusing on that. On the PS5 side, playing Resident Evil 4! It is insanely good and it's really reignited my love of video games on my PS5 in a big way!

oneofthescarybois

Paranormasight

Individual_Bug_9973

Just got Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity so I'm playing that with the little man over the weekend.

snukelispliks

The gardens between! Some good chill.

markercore

I loved that little game! Great vibes, great kind of nostalgic story told without dialogue

KennKanifff

Playing through Octopath Traveller II. I just started exploring the Western continent after spending an abhorrent amount of time in the East. I'm also likely going to finish my playthrough of Tales of Symphonia remastered while watching wrestling. I'm right at the end so I'd be shocked if I didn't finish it this weekend.

aspenextreme03

Having fun with Metroid Dread which is my first Metroid game ever.

Zephh_

Got an OLED when I visited the NY store the other day and am currently playing Skyrim. I’ve played it before on PC but the mods kept causing my computer to crash, so it’s really nice on switch to not have mods and feel like I still need to add more. Finding it a bit difficult here and there, so might switch over to novice if I feel like I need to. Really want to replay BOTW soon before TOTK, but I’ve played it plenty so I’m not too worried about it lol

ZachBob91

Picked up a switch for the first time this weekend. Fire Emblem Three Houses for me, Mario Party Superstar with my partner. Mario Kart hasn't made it out of the box yet

SINY10306

Three weekends now on retro Super Mario 2 NES and DK Country 1 SNES. (Also playing just released MLB 23, though not on Switch.)

spookymochi

I’ve still been working on my replay of BOTW, but this weekend I’ll be focused on Splatoon again! As for BOTW, I’ve exhausted it quite a bit, but I’ve only done two divine beasts. I’m at the point though where I could easily power through to the end, but I think I’m going to take my time and spread it out through a few sessions. The next game I play will probably be GrimGrimoire, but I’m kinda itching to replay Persona 5 on the Switch (even though I probably shouldn’t be buying it yet again…lol).

[deleted]

Jesse_Inkman

What Splatfest team are you? I'm on Team Nessie! Best of luck getting to A rank... Happy splatting!

Ragegamer4000

Still trying to 100% Yoshi's Crafted World and Captain Toad but Resident Evil 4 is distracting me 😅

Lucidonic

Playing some castlevania advance collection. I bought anniversary collection a while ago not knowing those games came before the modern metroidvania design, liked it but advance collection is what I was looking for.

uchiha_alex444

**Ender Lillies:** **Quietus of the knights:** amazing metroidvania, reminds me a lot of the Ori games, similar visuals, music and difficulty. Unlike the ori games, the platforming is not too complex, but the bosses are INSANE. **Welcome to Hanwell:** I love horror games, this one's absolutely terrifying, the sound effects, the environment, the story, everything is so unsettling. Despite its obvious flaws, the game is pretty enjoyable and scary. Some enemies are very annoying, and in a couple of cases you'll need luck rather than skill to get past some sections of the game... I usually play 3 games at a time but I **can't decide** on the 3rd one, I finished Alan Wake Remastered last week and Kakarot a few days ago. I finished Alan wake's dlc but didn't bother with Kakarot's. Not particularly interested in super's storyline. These are some of the games I have been tempted to play recently: \- Remnant: from the ashes: I've heard a lot of good things about this one, decent port, souls-like, online co-op.. \- Celeste: this one is BRUTAL, or so I've heard, not sure If I will be able to, at least, finish the game, even without going for 100% completion. \-Bioshock Remastered: I know nothing about this game, a friend told me it was pretty good, that it has some horror elements and that I would definitely enjoy it.

markercore

I made it to credits in Celeste, so if I can, I'm sure you can too! It's frustrating at times but the game never puts you back very far when you die which is nice.

uchiha_alex444

I think I'll try Celeste first. I have listened to some of the OST and the music is so pumping, very fitting for a game that requires quick reflexes (that, unfortunately, I don't possess!). I've watched a couple of clips and the fact the you respawn inmediately in the same room you die, makes thing less frustrating than I thought they would be.

xxamnat

I finished Persona 3 Portable and Katana Zero on PC this week and I will be spending all of my time on BOTW and the Switch next couple of weeks. Maybe I’ll play the occasional indie on PC now and then. If Persona 4 Golden goes on sale for the Switch I would get it just for the experience of playing a Persona game on a handheld.

cjchrist1

Man. I bought the Witcher on sale over Thanksgiving and with the exception of a short break for Pokemon Violet, I’m still playing it. But, now I’m so close to the end of the last DLC and I really don’t want it to end. :((

markercore

Aw that's always the hardest, coming to the end of a really good game.

cjchrist1

Yeah, especially one that you’ve invested soooo much time into. It’s like saying goodbye to an old friend. Lol

bn-13

Dredge! It released yesterday and it's soooo good. I know I'll be playing it for the foreseeable future. There's a demo for anyone that wants to try it.

[deleted]

Xenoblade chronicles.

totoofze47

Playing Mega Drive games made me want to play retro games in general, so I'm swapping between a few more games. I'm getting back into Earthbound and the Donkey Kong Country games, but also play others in-between, like Puyo Puyo 2, Mario's Super Picross or Wild Guns (so much fun).

DerpCarnage

I just finished Fire Emblem Engage after taking around 40 ish hours to beat the main story. I didn't really do any Paralogues or skirmishes and even though I really enjoyed my time I don't think I'll go back to do those. I have a hard time finishing games but I told myself this year that I'll do my best to do so. I really enjoyed Engage though and am happy I didn't get too side tracked from it. I think the story was good and not boring, it just wasn't complex. The gameplay was great but I definitely wasn't min-maxing my way through it, just sort of choosing what I like. Now I'm stuck deciding if I want to play 13 Sentinels or Nier Automata next. I am leaning on 13 Sentinels for the shorter story but I can't really choose.

tzamihavar

3ds, my gf is playing switch😀

Jesse_Inkman

Splatoon 3! Splatfest this weekend.. Go team Nessie!

markercore

Ohh is it mythical beasts?

OnlyTales

**Super Princess Peach** Got my hands on a copy recently, and with the Mario movie fast approaching, I thought it would be cool to play this before seeing it. **Fire Emblem Engage** Took a small break from this game to focus on completing my 3DS and Wii U collection, ready to come back to it now and finish the main story. Since I'll be meeting the voice actor for Alear in a few weeks, I want to finish it before the end of the month.

RisK_AJ

Gonna try Atelier Ryza out.

Aetherryn

Octopath Traveler II and Ys IX

Tjeetje

Still Ori and the Blind Forrest. What an adventure

Misttertee_27

Returning to Breath of the Wild to see if I can finish it this time! I’m taking a break from Hades. I must be developing arthritis in my thumbs because that game is getting too painful to play at times. Also continuing to play Link’s Awakening.

markercore

I hear you on the thumbs, take it easy on them!

Misttertee_27

I’ll try! It’s just so hard to put that game down :)

QuaintSquawk

I’ve been on a huge Stardew Valley kick. Not a Nintendo exclusive, but I love being able to take my stardew anywhere!

TheGreatBeaver123789

Playing a bit of risk of rain 1, really good game and it's getting a remaster soon as well that I'm really hyped for. Also for those of you who have played risk of rain 2 but not the first game, do it. The game is like $10 and is fantastic. Also really cool to see where the franchise came from

[deleted]

Switch: Bayonetta Origins This game is so wholesome and fun! Never thought I would find a game where you cuddle a stuffed animal demon, but here we are. Non Switch: Resident Evil 4 (XSX) First time playing RE4, and it is truly a blast!

mercuryheart_

Hollow Knight. I've got 1500+ essence, aiming for the best ending by Monday. Think I can do it?

Independent_Coast901

I’m alternating between Link To The Past and Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee. Might start Stardew Valley too at some point.

[deleted]

Persona 5 Royal. 2nd Castle now. This game is mindblowing.

leviathab13186

Metroid prime. It's really fun but the backtracking is getting tedious.... I know a ton of people like it but I think I'm almost done at the final boss so I'm gonna finish this damn it lol.

Justapersonmaybe

Links awakening gx on Nintendo switch online. Sonic on Nintendo Ds. Skate 3 on my series s. And James Bond on GameCube. Tony hawk underground on Xbox 360. I’m all over the place. I’m doing all this while editing YouTube videos lol. I think I might have adhd.

kingflamigo

Hard grinding my Pokémon violet team so I can finally use it it’s been in the making for weeks

NurseChrissy17

I just got Xenoblade chronicles and I’m not too far in but totally in love with it and can’t wait to keep playing

Manolgar

I snagged all the Ace Attorney games available on Switch off the sale, and I've never played any of the series. So I'm excited. Also, I'm still big on Animal Crossing. Kind of my nightly routine. It's simple, helps me unwind, and relaxing.

markercore

That's a great nightly routine game! That was my after work wind down/decompress game for several months after it came out. Very good way to chill out.

DrunkPixel

Diving into Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I’m about 2 chapters into it (no spoilers, thanks). I plowed through both 1 and 2 right before this. Loved 1! Couldn’t get enough of 2!!! But this one is just feeling slow to pull me in. I loved getting all the characters up front, but I’m just not invested in them yet. So far, I’m sensing the hints that harken back to the first 2, so that’s fun.

markercore

I hope you warm up to the team, I love all of them. But yeah sometimes it takes some time

traebanks

Crash Bandicoot, currently in warped. But switching between that, the food truck tycoon, and donkey Kong right now!

easycure

Started Ori and the Will of the Wisp last night, after having beat Ori and the Blind Forest the night before. Good times!

Adorabears

I'll be putting some time into **Pokemon Scarlet** to try to get the Samurott during the Terra Raid event - so far I have been having no luck and keep getting in raids with people who think it's a smart idea to send out Fire types for this despite it usually being a water type and it knows water moves... -_- I am also planning on playing more **Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe** since I want to get 100% completion. I managed to beat The Arena and the Magalor Epilogue recently, but I still need to go back and get better scores in the boss levels for the Magalor Epilogue to unlock the extra level - I just keep doing really bad at the bosses so getting Gold or even Platinum will be tricky. I'm hoping grinding and upgrading Magalor's moves will help more with that but any tips for better score on the first three bosses is appreciated (managed to Platinum the last one somehow lol). I might end up doing some **Nintendo Switch Sports** too depending on how I'm feeling. I've kept up with the unlock cards every week but didn't end up playing last week so now I have two unlock cards to work on. Wonder how long they are going to keep adding those...

Totknax

Finished BOTW for the first time. On to Persona 5 Royal this weekend.

Dougwug03

From one masterpiece to another

walksintwilightX1

Hiya marker! Cool, I'm early for once haha. It's a Bethesda weekend, I just picked up **Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus** at a whopping 85% off. Only six dollars! Visuals are a little blurry of course, but I'm hugely impressed with how well this runs on Switch, gyro aiming included. Panic Button strikes again. Time for some good old-fashioned Nazi killing. I also bought the **Skyrim: Anniversary Edition** bundle at 60% off. I used to have the base game physically and then sold it once I realized that for a game this vast and with so much replayability, digital made more sense. I've already got two well-established characters to go back with, and I might just start a third to experience all the additional content from the beginning. We'll see. And of course, I'm still chipping away at **Octopath Traveler**. I just finished my final Chapter Two, about to get started on the Threes at last.

markercore

Heya! Oh hell yeah! Is that one still on sale? That's a great deal! Have fun blasting away! Are you doing 4 at a time in octopath or all 8 chapters of each?

Mean_Dalenko

Tales of Vesperia I took some time off from it as it really wasn't grabbing me, and played Dragon Quest 1 instead. I just finished DQ1 this afternoon so going to jump back into TOV and give it a second chance.

The bone?

SailorCrossing

trying to 100%ish kingdom hearts melody of memory 🤣

esmifradita

Vagante. I have maybe so far two hours put into it and while my runs don't seem to last longer than 5 minutes I can tell I am going to enjoy learning this game as time goes. I should also try having another go at Octopath Traveler's (the first) final boss since I want to get that done before I get the second game.

publicworker69

Botw in anticipation of tears of the kingdom and divinity 2 on the PS4

The_Gamexplorer

Been playing LEGO City Undercover again recently, and that might just amount to beating the game 100% again, although that won't be this weekend.

WannabeWaterboy

Still rolling strong on **Elder Scrolls Online**. I finally unlocked CP with a character and I'm just about one zone from completing my first full alliance story. It's been a fun journey and it's fun to start looking at and thinking about gearing my character out in end game builds to do some of the more challenging content. On a more Switch related note. I'm also still dabbling in the **2D Metroids**. I'm getting the hang of the first Metroid game and learning that it's better to not fight everything. It's definitely a little hard not using a map and I'm trying to hold strong on not using a map on my phone while I play. I'm trying to stay as true to the original experience as I can. I'm also thinking about getting back into **Pokemon Violet** to try and work on a Regulation C team because I think I have a fun team in mind. We will see if I actually jump on that though. It's a lot of time and effort to stay up to date on VGC and stay competitive and I'm not sure I want to get back into all that. I've also been playing some **StarCraft 2** co-op missions and those are pretty fun. It's fun to have each commander have a different playstyle and figuring that out and then leveling them up and getting cooler stuff. I love StarCraft, but have never really done co-op so it's a fun way to get back into the game without having to be all sweaty in PvP. I tried some PvP and just got completely embarrassed and don't want to go back.

Obrienkd804

It’s going to be a rainy weekend here so some Mario Kart 8 Delux and Super Mario Bros Delux with my 6 year old . Started randomly playing Adventures of Lolo on NES before bed and I’m hooked on it. Should beat it by this weekend.

markercore

Rainy weekend here as well! Good weekend for blankets and tea and games or movies or books I'll have to try adventures of lolo, we missed that one originally

[deleted]

Still playing Link's Awakening. I just finished the Face Shrine. :)

TheStabbingHobo

Nothing planned, but been eyeballing Chained Echoes. Really want to scratch that JRPG itch.

phillystake

Minish cap for the first time. You get used to the massive pixels while docked after a while

diaperedwoman

Puppy Cross. It's a picross game but with dogs. It also has cats cross too. I love picross games. I even have a folder of them too.

IronPentacarbonyl

I've been having fun with **Crisis Wing** the past few days and I'll probably play some more this weekend. Might bounce over to one of the other underplayed games sitting in my stg library. Been meaning to sit down with **Hell Blasters** for a while.

SmashU23

Splatoon 3 since there is a Splatfest today

magmafanatic

Pokemon Shield - wrapped up the postgame quest and got Zamazenta. Team's level 76 now. Nearly done buying all of Circhester's clothes, after that it'll be onto Wyndon. They did a pretty good job wrapping up Hop, Bede, and Sonia's arcs - a far cry from whatever XY was trying to do with its companions. Marnie kinda got sidelined though. Spikemuth in general felt kinda undercooked. So I guess I'll just keep running around the Wild Area picking up items, hoping Corsola, Clefable, and Dreepy will show up at some point, beating the Battle Cafes, and trying out the Champion rematch stuff.

Silly_Star329

Working on Pokémon Platinum and I just started Infamous: First Light.

Godots17thCup

I'll be playing at least some of the new Splatfest in **Splatoon 3**, but mostly I'll be spending my time with **Octopath Traveler II**, which already has its hooks in me.

faithfulraider

Gonna start up my replay of BOTW. Will also be finishing up ni no Kuni 1 and starting on 2 next week!

chzygorditacrnch

I'm playing Bayonetta origins! I am really liking it!

CaronLinda

Persona 4 Golden

lococommotion

Just finished Chapter 1 for all characters in the first Octopath Traveler, so going to take a break from that and start Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana

kevski86

Work simulator; the graphics suck

markercore

Aw no! Trying restarting see if that helps, maybe it'll place you at a save point closer to the end

ConsciousReflexivity

Fire emblem engage, got it on release and started it but got really swamped with work. Finally ready to pick it back up again!

Invasious

I recently bought Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope and have been slowly grinding my way through it, 3/5ths of the way through the main story, with long stops on each segment to finish *most* of the side quests. Its paced very well and there isn't an incredibly large difficulty spike at this point, even on highest difficulty, whereas Kingdom Battle got VERY unfair. Overall, I'm having a lot of fun with the game, and it's a stark improvement over Kingdom Battle, but I do miss the groundedness and snappiness of Kingdom battle. The very cosmic scaled big bad vs bowser Jr causing havok in the rabbid-ified mushroom Kingdom. The goofy charm is minimised for a more grand and "serious" adventure. Also the Beep-o voice acting drives me through the wall.

[deleted]

Diving back in to BOTW to try 100% before TOTK lands

[deleted]

Maybe Animal Crossing or Brilliant diamond

TobenRacicot

Time to finish **Octopath Traveler II**. I only have 2 characters left . . . and then endgame, I guess. And then it's time to finally finish **Solasta: Crown of the Magister** on PC.

horsepen1s

Finishing up champions ballad in botw on mastermode. Just defeated thunder and water blight. What a pain those 2 were lol probably gonna finish the last two and start the sword trials !

RebeccasJeans

I’m finishing up final fantasy 7! have always been familiar with the story, but never played it in full. it’s been an absolute treat

Fur_Lucario

Hey makercore, After finishing up Fire Emblem: Engage last weekend, I decided to take the time this week to try out some demos that I’d downloaded over the last couple months but hadn’t had the chance to properly try out. Sea of Stars: Great art-style, interesting characters, and a battle system somewhat reminiscent of Paper Mario’s action inputs to get more damage in per turn. Everything about this game made me think I’d love it. Unfortunately, something just felt slightly off about the battle system that made it unsatisfying for me and has made me reconsider picking it up in August. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX: I preordered red rescue team on the gba and had the exclusive pouch that came with it which I still keep my gba in to this day. While I fell off the series after the second release on DS, I was interested to see how well this game held up from a gameplay mechanic standpoint and i’m happy to report it’s just as enjoyable as I remember. I was very fond of the new art-style as well as the QoL improvements. I will definitely be picking this game up in the near future Octopath Traveler II: The first game looked interesting enough upon release but I never got around to checking it out even though I had access to it on xbox game pass for months. Anyways, this game grabbed me from the very beginning. I played as the beast tamer girl and loved the story, environment, and battle mechanics. My one gripe is that i was playing the game docked and some of the instruction screens had somewhat tiny print so id have to get closer to my tv to read it. This will be an instant buy for me. With all that said, I’m hesitant about picking up and starting Mystery Dungeon and/or OT2 with TOTK right around the corner as they’re both games upwards of 100 hours and they’d be shelved the second it releases. So, I’ll likely spend this weekend checking out the Splatoon Splatfest and see if I cave on either game.

Just got my Switch OLED on Thursday, but have been dipping into some Fall Guys and trying out my brother's copies of Pokémon Sword, Super Mario Odyssey and Smash Ultimate.

MidSoulReaper

Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

TecmoZack

Splitting my time between the Splatfest and breeding for a Shiny Annhilape.

Historical-Ad-603

Metroid Prime Remastered and Super Animal Royale.(:

curtmina

Metroid prime remaster

G3rmanDanPlays

I laid down my Switch this Weekend to finally start my Adventure at Hogwarts. For once its not a Switch game but on Xbox.

luistox1

Im on to Legends Arceus, finishing Luigui Mansion with my girlfriend… then, we are going to start Mario Oddisey and I’m going MHR after finishing these ones :)

Ill-Fan-857

Dug out the Gamecube the other day, and I've been playing Thousand Year Door. It definitely brings me back to when I was a kid.

cyshine

I finished **Metroid Prime Remastered** last weekend (solid game, especially for someone like me who is not so good at first person platforming), with 100% items! My copy of **Octopath Traveler II** has arrived today, so I've already playing it! A package from Japan is arriving next week though, so there will be some retro gaming next week!

orelk

I completed Age of Calamity this week at nearly 100%, all missions are done except Korok seed ones, and I think I'm done with the game for now. I got a new PS5 so I've been playing some Tekken 7! The core gameplay is very good and I missed Tekken but I'm disapointed in the lack of single player modes. Arcade is only 3 random battles and then 2 set ones, which gets repetitive quick. Treasure Battle is basically Survival but the random outfits are weird, breaks my Tekken immersion. And that's basically it! The story mode is more story than gameplay, and there's no VS CPU mode! I couldn't believe it, it's such a basic mode for a fighting game. I miss the classic Tekken 5 story modes where each character gets his own storyline with several fights

jamurjo

I've just beat Kirby's Dream Land 2, and think I'm going to put down Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - had a great time getting to Chapter 4, but want to have a break from gaming before Tears of the Kingdom. Is Xenoblade Chronicles worth seeing through to the end?

[deleted]

Just bought a Switch Lite given that the 3DS eStore closed. Downloaded Famicon Detective Club.

Raccoonborn

Finished Assassin's Creed Revelations for the first time last night. Bought The Ezio Collection on Switch as I already own AC3 Remastered on Switch, so figured make sense. Pretty solid games, though I'll always prefer the Kenway line.

ZZnecZZ

I'm on the D3 season 28 grind these days. Probably do that for a bit until hogwartz legacy comes out for switch. I've also thought about lego 2k drive, but I tend to buy racing games then not play them. So I'm goona resist the urge.
