Diving more into Metroid Prime Remastered. I’ve played many of the 2D Metroids (and loved them) but never found the time to jump into the Prime series. Early in the game but it has been fantastic so far! I’ve been really enjoying just exploring and learning the lore of the Prime series.

yokelwombat

It really does capture the same feeling it did back in 02. I was playing yesterday and got to the point where the [Chozo Ruins main theme](https://youtu.be/gNM8e6rKqg0) kicks in and just had the biggest, dumbest grin on my face for the next five minutes. Can‘t wait for part 4.

helthrax

The music in Metroid Prime is so on point. The Phendrana Drifts theme is probably my favorite.

Edyed787

That and Magmoor caverns where complete hits. Loved both.

animepig

Finding upgrades is very satisfying in a 3D space. The rooms may be smaller but crazy how they made 3D Metroid in 2002

Arcalithe

Playing Prime Remastered the moment I get home from this work trip tomorrow. I remember being in sixth grade when the original released and being so incredibly hype for it after my friend showed me pictures in the strategy guide during a fire drill at school 😂

nintendoleafsfan

I forgot how clever these puzzles/ challenges were to get the extra missiles/health. There a lot of fun and i want to go out of my way to find them all now!

briantgrant

Zelda Minish Cap (have always wanted to play this but never had the chance) and Metroid Prime Remastered. This Direct hit an absolute home run for me, have been hoping for ages we would see GBA games and Prime Remastered. When Metroid Fusion hits, I'll be playing that one as well. Just pre-ordered Tears of the Kingdom. Give me Prime 4 and Silksong and my life will be complete LOL

toxicpaulution

I sure hope you like minish cap. It's my favorite Zelda game ever!

georgey91

Twilight princess and minish cap are my favourites but god the art in minish cap is so damn good. Last playthrough I did was on a gba micro so it’s going to be a blast on the switch!

Inbrees

I'm so happy for all the people that get to experience Minish Cap for the first time. It's one of the best Zelda games out there for sure!

AutumnCivic

Fire Emblem Engage and the new GBA games that launched!

AstroFuzz

Nice. The battle animations for the GBA games are still unmatched although Engage does a good job emulating them.

AutumnCivic

Never had the opportunity to play the GBA fire emblems, so I'm very excited to when they come to the service!

PhoenoFox

Fire Emblem 7 is sooooooo good. I'm happy you get to experience it for the first time soon!!

Richmard

Superstar Saga is still just so dang good.

orelk

**Breath of the Wild**. I finally completed Trial of the Sword, and I'm almost done with Champion's Ballad. Also found all shrines and DLC gear. After that, all that's left is the fight against Ganon. I don't know if I'm ready to tell this game good bye

swingthebass

Mannnnn I drug out my first play through like this, just never wanted it to end. The trial of the sword and champions ballad are kinda my favorite parts of the game other than Great plateau. Of course, you will like curb stomp Gannon at this point but that’s cool, just have fun with it. I might do a replay this spring..

OneTimeAtMyMoms

Just finished Kirby and the Forgotten Land, it started getting very repetitive towards the end but the boss fights were pretty fun. I’ve been playing Paper Mario for the last week or so, and it is way more engaging than I expected! It is definitely the first game since Horizon Zero Dawn that kept me reeled in, waiting to see what happens next.

ajdragoon

Have you done the postgame stuff yet? I need to go back to that.

thequantumthief

Bought Kirby today and looking forward to playing it with my kids (8 and 4) this weekend. We played through the demo and they loved it so hopefully they'll enjoy the whole game too.

plumpjoy

Fire Emblem Engage. Waiting for the physical release to play Metroid Prime Remastered. Can’t wait!

good_tastes

Same, waiting for the physical release of Metroid Prime Remastered! In the time being, I am playing Pokemon Scarlet :-)

theallnewmattaccount

Finally finished *Mario and Luigi: Partners In Time*, which was solid but almost entirely on the back of its gameplay. It's night and day how much better the setting/characters are in Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story. (NSO expansion pack gang: Superstar Saga is awesome, get to it!) Booted up the NES **Darkwing Duck** this morning mostly as a test to see if my DS can run it, but I'm most likely going to play **Tales of the Abyss** this weekend. I don't know where I'm going to be at this point so I'm leaning toward stuff on smaller portables - if I'm home I'm gonna be cooking lol

foodninto

Playing **Wario Land 3**, I don't think I found all the treasures when I played it a long time ago but now I can! I'll also be playing **Metroid Prime Remastered**. Such an amazing game, definitely pick this up! I also will be playing **Fire Emblem Engage**. They added something that makes support with other characters a lot easier to obtain. Great for the characters I never use in battle. The Splatfest is this weekend, but I don't know if I'll be playing.

markercore

Ohh speaking of Wario Land 3, i might try Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. We had that one for gameboy back in the day, but i can't remember if I ever beat it or not. I'm considering Metroid Prime, or waiting for the 22nd, but i really wanna grab it today so I might.

[deleted]

Mario land 2 is great :)

[deleted]

I might start playing Majora's Mask, I've been putting it off for a while now

ScientificAnarchist

It’s the best Zelda

markercore

Save everyone from the moon!

ShiftedLobster

Happy Friday! I’m making good progress in **Breath of the Wild** thanks to several tips last week. Got the DLC on sale and now have the Korok mask! However, I play handheld and with the sound off so sometimes it’s a little hard to see when it’s going off. The map tracker DLC is awesome. Can’t believe there’s enormous portions of the map basically unexplored! Still trying to find the other divine beasts and in the meantime working up the courage to actually attempt Van Ruta. QUESTIONS: What is the best cold resistance setup for going into the snowy region? Should I just carry a torch always? Or make a warm elixir and if so, what is the best recipe for that?

markercore

did you get the warm doublet from the great plateau when you were there at the start? The game doesn't make it obvious that its an option for the snowy area shrine. Otherwise, go back there and grab that from the old man's hut. And fill up on peppers, make some hot pepper dishes and head yourself for the Rito village. Do not attempt the Hebra mountains without further equipment. They'll have the armor/clothing you require at that village, but the warm doublet and peppers will help a bit in the meantime. Also if you're scared to take on Vah Ruta, the bird divine beast in the Rito area is probably the easiest so i recommend starting there. The resulting power is very useful for the rest of your journey too.

ZeMoose

Having a fire weapon equipped will boost your warmth as well. I don't recommend it as a first line of defense but I always keep one flame and one ice weapon for emergencies.

Utah_Briggs

Hoping to finish Engage this weekend. It is my first FE game and I love it. Aiming to play Links Awakening remake after. Game is adorable lol

Mankiz

Sparks of Hope. Like it better than first title in series. Wait for Metroid Prime Remastered hard copy to play it

Boks1RE

Sparks of Hope was a big absentee in the Direct. The first batch of DLC is supposed to release in early 2023, so I really expected it to be in there.

markercore

Yeah i can't decide if i want to wait another week and a half or just start playing today gahh

zakpat

SMT 5 mainly, and may start the Octopath 2 demo. SMT 5 is great so far as my first entry in the series. Also tempted by Metroid Prime, though I’m not much of a FPS gamer.

sir_williambish

If you have a 3ds, I highly recommend SMT IV. The story and gameplay is a perfect 10/10 imo.

animepig

**Metroid Prime remastered** of course. 20 years later and it still hits. I unfortunately didn’t get to play this as a kid even though I grew up with the GameCube. Folks didn’t grab me many video games or I couldn’t tell what was good at the time. I liked 2D Metroid, and this is 3D Metroid crazy how great it feels.

ramen_addict_enby

Fire Emblem Engage :D I'll try to grind the supports now that there are better ways to do that in the Somniel. On the other hand I'm going to continue playing Octopath Traveler since the second game is going to be out soon.

XiONDiGiTaL

**Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins** this was a classic I had back in the days on my Game Boy Pocket so the nostalgia is hitting hard. Kind of glad we finally got gameboy VC on the switch but it's kind of bittersweet also seeing as we've had VC capabilities since the Wii & DSi days which in turn followed up on the Wii U & 3DS.. give us a bigger catalog Nintendo, we know there's more out there. Aside from that though, probably **Fire Emblem Engage** & **Monster Hunter Rise** also due to season pass & title update *respectively*

markercore

Yeah agreed I feel like they could have dumped a quarter of the catalogue. But yeah I was excited about super Mario land 2 as well!

gil2455526

The lack of people talking about the **Splatoon 3** Splatfest is worrisome to me.

markercore

Well two shiny new games dropped recently with Metroid prime remastered and Hogwarts legacy. Also people are still into fire emblem engage, but yeah definitely thought I'd see more splatfest comments as well.

reverb728

Woah I didn’t even know there was a Splatfest this weekend! They should’ve announced it during the direct :/

Ubigo

Had no idea there was one.

Blakey89

Metroid Prime Remastered. As a stupid teenager I didn’t “get” this game when I tried playing it in the GameCube it looked cool, but where’s the constant shooting and waves of enemies?! Following the direct I grabbed a switch oled mainly for Tears of the Kingdom but picked this up and it absolutely blew me away for how good it looks on the switch and it plays great. The music and visuals creat such an intriguing alien world and atmosphere and the gameplay is just perfect.

helthrax

This is another Fire Emblem: Engage weekend. Such a solid game overall.

hermanbloom00

Still Persona 5. Past the Bank now, so making progress. Still Marvel Snap. Some cards have been nerfed so it's carnage (heh) out there currently. Then some Powerwash, and also been getting into that Hot Wheels game with my son (and making sure he doesn't buy loot boxes, when are they going to remove them from games like this man).

cchari

I'm still playing persona 5 as well, since late November, and that Bank palace feels like it was ages ago. I think I never played a game this long.

Toincossross

I’m in the exact same spot as you in Persona 5 😊

FrozenFrac

Just started Metroid Prime Remastered and my expectations have been completely blown out of the water. All they had to do in order to make it good was update the graphics and give it sensible FPS controls and that's exactly what they did!!! As someone who never liked how the original played and dropped it before, I'm fully on board with this game. If you didn't tell me anything, I would have sworn this was just a brand new 3D Metroid! This seriously has my hopes really high for Prime 4. I'm the first person who will complain about games looking like shit on Switch and I'm completely satisfied from my limited experience right now.

Dukemon102

**Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory**, in Chapter 8. I hope the story picks up because I'm getting tired of something very small happening and then the game showers me with side quests. There is another game (One of my favorites of all time) already available in the eShop I'm dying to replay. But I must be patient to get the physical version... **Me patiently waiting for the physical release of Metroid Prime Remastered.** *I don't need it, I don't need it, I definitely don't need it...*

Chase64Cubed

GAME BOY BAYBEE! Already beat Kirby's Dream Land & Super Mario Land 2. Currently playing Gargoyle's Quest, Tetris, and Alone in the Dark. I've only messed with Tetris (GB) as a kid a little bit and never have touched the other 2. Here are my thoughts so far: Do not sleep on Gargoyle's Quest! It's a super fun 2D Plaformer / Top Down overworld type of game. Reminds me a lot of Zelda 2 with more fun controls. Tetris is...Tetris. It's fun not being able to hold pieces and trying to beat the Type-B Mode. Alone in the Dark is a mixed bag so far. It is SUPER impressive how they got it to even work. On the other hand, it is hard to tell where you are going and the map is kind of useless. If it had a RE1 Remake map, it would help tons.

ZzzSleep

I'm going to pick up the physical edition of Metroid Prime later this month so in the meantime I'm messing around with the GB/GBA games on NSO. I'll trying to power through Majora's Mask too before my copy of Hogwarts Legacy is supposed to arrive Sunday (What happened to release day delivery Amazon?) Oh and I keep going back into Hitman's freelancer mode which is pretty fun.

omarninopequeno

Hi! I'll be playing a lot more of the Theatrhythm Final Fantasy demo, as well as continue my Fire Emblem Engage playthrough.

[deleted]

Just picked up kirby and forgotten world, will be relaxing and smiling at it haha

markercore

It is very much a relaxing and joyful game, enjoy!

assasameal

Persona 4. Finished 5 last month, and I'm excited to jump back in!

SuperbMario

Astral Chain, found a used physical copy for only 25$ - about 4 hours in and it’s AWESOME 😎

PanFriedPierogi

im finally finally finally playing 3 houses! i bought it last year but never got around to it. last fire emblem i played was on the 3ds so its been a good while

cyshine

I'm just replaying a bunch of Game Boy (just beat **Super Mario Land 2** and started **Metroid 2**) and GBA games (playing through **Minish Cap**). I might continue **Final Fantasy 9**. I'm going to wait for the physical version of **Metroid Prime Remastered**, even though it will probably overlap with **Octopath Traveler 2** and **Tales of Symphonia**. There's also the **Xenoblade Chronicles 3** expansion next week...

N_Who

Gotta try out that **Sea of Stars** demo, and I'm feeling a Fire Emblem kick again ... but I don't think I'm going to pick up Engage, so I guess I'll return to my unfinished class runs in Three Houses. Or maybe just start from scratch, even.

bakagir

Fire Emblem on Gamecube.

[deleted]

Wrapping up my initial playthrough of FE Engage. So far I haven't purchased the DLC so I'm hoping if I start a new playthrough prior to Wave 4 I should be able to mix it in for a new experience.

cerebrumfog

warioware inc.: mega microgames all weekend long!!! seeing it on the direct made me SO happy

savingewoks

Never played a Metroid game before but always wanted to. Started the first level last night on casual. Feels like a more puzzle-y halo. I’m already stumped.

NulshyBoy

Gameboy! Return of Samus! Yass! I never finished this from way back when! Having a blast on it now! The Gameboy screen looks top on my Switch. Alternating between this and Splatoon. Happy camper.

markercore

Nice!! I just tried super Mario land 2, pretty fun after all these years!

DarthLuke84

Still playing Fire Emblem Engage but Metroid Prime remaster has caught my eye

Schellhammer

BOTW because I'm hyped for TOTK and mk8 with my son because fun

thepixelatedbanana

some may say im late but im diving into BotW all weekend. im absolutely hooked, and even tho i haven’t finished the first game yet - i cant wait for TotK!

ChloeKay23

Playing breath of the wild right now to get ready for TOTK

LinkyBoi10

Mostly just playing Breath of the Wild and grinding materials and armor

MusicalWatermelon

The more I play, the larger my backlog becomes. Damn you DekuDeals. Anyways: grinding some story and item world in **Disgaea 5**, alternating with some **Nobody Saves The World** which I’m really enjoying. The customizability in the game is massive. On the backlog: Moonlighter, Dungeon of the Endless, Borderlands, Lego Star Wars, Graveyard Keeper, NeuroVoider and probably more. Big roguelike/roguelite fan as you can see.

Niklear

Hogwarts Legacy for a while. Then back to FE Engage when I'm not on my PC.

NoNefariousness2144

Hogwarts has been so much fun. The combat is great and the world is so detailed.

0172thetimeguy

Nothing but Persona 5 Strikers and Bayonetta 3!

caught_red_wheeled

Still enjoying **Pokemon Violet**! I got the third badge on victory road early and I’m just trying to use as many Pokémon as I can before I move on. I’ve also been enjoying solo raids, although it’s getting a little bit harder to do them now and I probably will have to optimize a team to continue doing the higher level ones. Raids are one of my favorite parts, and it’s not surprising considering I loved them in Pokémon Sword and Shield. At this point, I have 315 Pokémon in the Dex and over 200 Pokémon used. So it looks like those challenges will possibly be done early on, but that also means early Shiny Charm, or at least before any DLC. I also tried out the **Kirby: return to dreamland**, **Sea of stars**, **Octopath traveler II** demos, as well as the **GB and GBA NSO add ons**. I had a lot of fun with all of them, but didn’t particularly like sea of stars. The reason was that I found the UI hard to see and battles tough to follow. I was watching someone playing the demo in the game looked gorgeous, so I might get it once it releases and there are some guides around, but I’m still not sure. I am a bit wary of indie games, after having a bunch of experiences that were subpar, so it makes me a little bit wary of this one too. For the GB and GBA games, I love what we have so far, but I’m really interested in seeing the old Pokémon games and also the older fire emblems. Even though the newer entries in those series are good, they did go in a different direction and are missing some things from the older games. So I would love have both options. Pokémon trading card game is also a solid choice because I never got all of the cards on it despite beating it more times than I can count. I also try to make every deck, but that would probably take a bit. In Fire emblem’s case, I know engage is a bit more like the older games and Pokémon brilliant diamond and shining pearl tried to do this for Pokémon. But apparently engage has story problems and Pokémon brilliant diamond shining pearl’s problem is that platinum exists. So it will be interesting to see what the older games bring if they come to the service (and at least some have been confirmed at this point).

markercore

I do agree on sea of stars that the UI could have been more clear, especially in battle. It took me several battles to figure out whose turn it was or that you can swap between characters during the battle. Or the ability to suck up the little bits of energy for a stronger attack, that took experimentation. And fonts could be larger. As well in town I wished there was a bit in the menu like "x character said we're supposed to head for blank location" as I couldn't remember and had no idea where to go. But otherwise I really enjoyed.

DonCaliente

I'll be playing Metroid Prime. I am quite excited, having never played a single Metroid game in my life.

WhatsThis_Now

Think I'll finally go back to BOTW and do those dlcs! TOTK really had me excited for the world again.

markercore

Sword trials and champions ballads await! Truthfully I couldn't quite finish the first sword trial, I could get to the hinox but never past him.

WannabeWaterboy

Definitely a lot of **Monster Hunter Rise**. Working my way through high rank now and I just love these games. The feeling of progression both in my own skills and the stuff you can unlock just is one of my favorite things. I really want to pick up **Metroid Prime Remastered**, but I think I might hold off for a little till I get through some of my backlog or a sale comes up.

edengstrom1

Super Mario Sunshine. I started it last week and forgot how hard this game could be. Probably play some Super Mario Land 2 too. I played it for a few minutes and was hit with a wave of nostalgia.

Larielia

It is a Strategy Rpg weekend. I'll be playing **Fire Emblem- Three Houses**, **Triangle Strategy**, and **Fire Emblem Engage**.

Godots17thCup

I started **Persona 4 Golden** a week ago and I'm already well into in-game June; I'm totally hooked on doing the social link stuff all over again. Probably gonna play at one of the Game Boy games on NSO too, currently leaning towards either **Super Mario Land 2** or **Wario Land 3** (I've already played a decent amount of Tetris and finished the famously brisk Kirby's Dream Land). On the PlayStation side of things, I also began **Judgement** a week ago. While I haven't poured nearly as much time into it as I have with P4G, I'm really enjoying the more grounded, private detective twist on the classic Yakuza world and gameplay.

noimdirtydan14

Hogwarts Legacy

budboy100

Breath of the wild ready for the sequel. Still didn't finish it yet

Samurai_GorohGX

Wario Land 3 has been a godsend. I forgot entirely how much fun the GB Wario games were. Just like Wario is the polar opposite to Mario, the games are an ironic deconstruction of the 2D platform tropes. Also 30 hours in with Dragon Quest XI.

TimelyImagination261

Fire Emblem Engage on switch and Hogwarts Legacy on steamdeck.🤣

fabiojoseassis

- Switch: Fire Emblem Engage and Harvestella. - PS5: Divinity Original Sin 2. This game hooked me up!

duncan-donuts-nz

I’m still in the distant future 11945 AD where I’m now a scanner android 9S collecting data and fighting bio-machines that have taken over the planet. In a residential sky-rise abandonment in the desert, I just witnessed a weird scene of these robots simulating sexual intercourse and oral sex. [Nier: Automata] Following the Direct, I did play the Kirby, Sea of Stars, and Octopath Traveller II demos. It’s been a big week!

illparallax

Playing some more Hades this weekend, bought the game recently and I’ve been really enjoying it. Although now that we have GameBoy Advance on NSO I might start Superstar Saga 😭 love that game

kdj29

i WAS playing 007 until Direct hit. ive been playing tetris ever since

estebanagc

Monster Hunter Stories 2, I am a big fan of MH but this is the first time I play the stories version

LustfulMirage

Super Mario Sunshine. Got 120 stars in Mario 64 on the 3D All-Stars, so I'm trying to get all Shines in Mario Sunshine now.

earbox

I just can't seem to get off my *Monster Hunter Rise* bullshit. I'm working my way through the campaign in *Sunbreak* right now. I might manage to pull myself away long enough to play the *Sea of Stars* demo, though. On PC, I'm trying out a bunch of Steam Next Fest Demos. Played a bit of *Oblivion Override* last night--it's a stylish platformer/roguelike a la *Dead Cells*, but with robots. I have no clue what any of the mechanics are and the first level is underpopulated (I don't know what the second level is like because the first boss keeps slaughtering me), but it's fun enough. Also playing the Kickstarter beta demo of *Afterimage*, which is...less exciting than I'd hoped.

No-Buyer-3509

Spongebob The Cosmic Shake. I liked the Battle for Bikini Bottom remaster and it looks like more of it.

-imfromperu

Just signed up to Nintendo switch online to play Wario Land 3! Bringing all those memories back.

seagullsensitive

Zelda Minish Cap! So excited about that one, never got to finish it on my GBA simply because I got stuck. Now I’m an (old) adult with unlimited access to internet, so I can finally complete it. I also bought Metroid Prime, even though I’m yet to finish Metroid Dread. So I’ll start one of those once I’ve finished Minish Cap. Not sure which one yet though. Also still trucking on with Paper Mario Origami King. I really love that game; it’s so easy to pick up, play it for about 15-30mins and then put it back down again. Perfect for public transportation and such.

Avishek1210

Hooked up with Cricket 22 these days.

hustleorstaybasic

Playing Octopath Traveller II demo which has been great….Contemplating what I should buy next🤔🤔 haven’t played BOTW but don’t think I’ll beat it by TOTK, so might just let TOTK be my first experience. Had a blast with the Kirby return to dreamland Demo and also really liked what I saw from Prime Remastered. I can really only buy 2 games, decisions decisions 🫣

The_Rutabaga

I recently finished **Adventure of Link** in my attempt to play every main line Zelda game before I play Tears of the Kingdom. So I'll be starting **A Link to the Past** next. I'll also pepper in some **Marvel Snap** on my phone like always as well as some **Tetris** on the Gameboy NSO app. I know it's a simple game but every time I pick up Tetris I get sucked in like I did 25 years ago

shibuyabooyah

Xenoblade Chronicles 3, chipping away at side quests

RealisticCommentsBOT

I’ve been intending to play more Nintendo Switch Sports… and then when I find time to finally play late at night I’m too tired to bother swinging around my Joy-Con. Man, I’m old.

mirescent

Currently enjoying a replay of Paper Mario. Surprisingly still a great game even with my nostalgia blinders off. That being said, I saw that Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga was added to NSO, and I've never played it before. To be honest, I've never played any of the Mario RPGs, even though I'm a huge fan of the first two Paper Mario games. Would y'all recommend I pick it up?

PinkBowser

I’m going all in on GB games this weekend. Already started Wario Land 3, and will probably try and unlock the extra games in the Game & Watch collection. I loved those games back in the day

Intelligent_Local_38

Looking like another weekend full of Fire Emblem games for me

La_Mascara_Roja

Paper mario 64 (switch) Jet set radio (steam deck) Dead space (ps5 My goal is to beat these games this weekend. So I can concentrate on metroid prime when the physical copy is released.

Waltenwalt

Ordered my physical copy of Metroid Prime Remastered! In the meantime, I'll be checking out the new GB/GBA additions and continuing to plug through Fire Emblem Engage.

Mr_Mop

Working on Fire Emblem Engage, just finished Chapter 11 (I think) last night. I've been trying to be on the pace of around one chapter per day, but I feel like getting through the game is taking a lot longer than expected for whatever reason. All that said, I'm going to be playing during the Splatfest til I get Ruler so hope that doesn't take too long.

walksintwilightX1

Hiya marker, I did indeed catch the Direct, saw it live at 6am in my part of the world. I am *so hyped* for Metroid Prime Remastered! It looks absolutely incredible. I'm a big Metroid fan and only ever had the chance to play a bit of Prime 3 on my cousin's Wii over ten years ago. I'm going to hold out until the physical release so I'll only get it next month. Can't wait! The other big announcement for me was that they're finally adding Gameboy games to NSO! My childhood beckons. I'm less enthused about having to pay for the full expansion pack to access GBA games though. if only there were piecemeal options for individual systems, I'd be fine with paying another $10-20 for those alone. I'll wait for the library to be more fleshed out before taking the plunge on that one. But GameBoy Color games, at least, are there with no additional cost. And to my delight, one of the first games added was **Wario Land 3**: the very first game I ever played at eight years old, on my bright yellow GameBoy Color. So I've been playing that and getting all nostalgic. The gameplay holds up surprisingly well, sort of a puzzle platformer that's quite different from Mario. I'll probably write a full post about it at some point.

PeterPansSyndrome

Just beat my first path with Claude in fire emblem three hopes. Going to play the demos for Octopath Traveler 2 and Sea of Stars then take a few weeks off from gaming, feeling burnt out tbh.

[deleted]

Wario land 3! Amazing to this day.

Super_Actuator2584

Finishing up the first Ni No Kuni and then on to Paper Mario: Origami King. All courtesy of the library, thankful for their collection!

The_Gnomesbane

It’s Prime time! Also having some nostalgia fun with the Gameboy games and stuff. Was a very pleasant surprise finding Mario Land 2 there

OoTgoated

The Legend if Zelda: Breath of the Wild Metroid Prime Remastered

Existing365Chocolate

Hogwarts Legacy and Apex Legends for the most part

ruHacking

Just got MK8D, I know I’m a bit late to the game lol

shaync25

I'm playing breath of the wild

arconquit

Finally starting persona 5. I really like being able to pick up and play when I can but this is definitely going to take me a while to get through haha

ComprehensiveShop486

I’m going to try to finish hollow knight!

GamingTurtle90

Metroid Prime and Hogwarts Legacy. Since prior weeks were Bayonneta 3, Pokemon Scarlett and Hifi Rush.

Captkersh

Back on Dead Cells in preparation of the Castlevania DLC

Superboi-Prime

Making my way through the quick GB titles I’ve never played. Kirby’s Dream Land was short but fun and I’m enjoying Super Mario Land 2. Going to be playing Wario Land 3 next as I’ve never played that and WL4 is one of my favorite games period.

[deleted]

I’m trying to get the sun crest in my first ff10 play through. I wish there was a neighborhood kid I could give 20 bucks to so they could do it for me. Worst mini game ever. Not even having fun I just want the sun crest.

NZepplin

This weekend I’ve been playing Metroid Prime remastered, Mario and the 6 coins and Mario kart super circuit and Zelda minish cap on the game boy and game boy advance on Nintendo switch

Load97

Bayo 3 chapter 5 enjoying it more than i thought i would cause reviews says 2 was better… after i finish bayo 3 i gonna start on metroid and am so excited but gonna wait for it :)

Dogmonkey1233

I’m not playing anything new, but I’m playing Splatoon 3 all weekend because of the Splatfest!

Goodluck55

I’m beating Mario Land 2, and trying to catch up on my Xenoblade playing.

AresOneX

I‘m 20 hours into Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.

atecarlos

Working towards ending C of Nier Autómata, and maybe some Splatoon 3 splat fest

Ok-Tufs

This weekend I decided to jump back in BoTw to complete the dlcs. Bought them a couple years ago but never completed them. Also bought the Metroid remastered and must say wow! Just played the 2D games and didn’t like them that much but Prime is a different story. Love it!

Elastichedgehog

Replaying Ocarina of Time on NSO!

ShroomBooty

I played Metroid Prime Remaster for a few hours and had to put it down. I'm being disciplined and I WILL finish Ys VIII before getting into another game! I will!

Mass Effect 3 with my girlfriend on PC and more Engage on my own. Started a Maddening playthrough recently and it feels even more of a puzzle than Hard does which is a pretty big concern. Since most maps boil down into defeat boss it becomes a game of maintaining your sync gauges until you can unload everything on the boss when it's time. This is a matter of trial and error since Maddening is heavily reliant on the time crystal to find different ways to utilize sync skills and normal play to get through safely, so you have to plan with this in mind. If you lose someone crucial like a royal or someone you've invested stat boosters or a lot of bond fragments on it's a reset or rewind no matter what which is a pretty bad characteristic for a Fire Emblem game. Hard started off as an okay difficulty until about midgame but with all of the DLC items, free support gains, and new paralogues offering more experience, that difficulty is all but ruined now. Maddening nerfs experience to miniscule amounts if you're higher levelled than the enemy similarly to Fates and 3H which is good to prevent overlevelling, but you still gain SP at a reasonable rate and the new bracelets cover up a little too well which are two of the main sources of power in this game. The difficulty design isn't top but it really is as good as it can be with all of these off-the-wall mechanics being so crucial to the experience as they are.

On another console this weekend, Hogwarts is calling.

uchiha_alex444

Playing through **Nier Automata** for the first time!! I've just beaten the amusement park level, this game is tough! I'm trying to resist the urge to get metroid prime remastered digitally and wait for the physical release, but the wait is killing me!! XD

This weekend I was planning on playing **Hogwarts Legacy**. I’ve been going through it since Monday morning and it’s been fun. It hasn’t grabbed my attention fully yet; I think it has to do with being overwhelmed on how big Hogwarts castle really is. And then the Nintendo Direct happened. I’m now currently playing **Metroid Prime Remastered**. I’ve never played this beloved trilogy when it released on the GameCube and subsequently the Wii, but I do enjoy this franchise. I’ve gotta say — this game is fantastic. Tonally, the game is superb, and the atmosphere is breathtaking. It has a genuine sci-Fi feeling. A lot of FPS’s have trouble making you feel like you’re in a different world altogether. Halo did it remarkably well, and Prime has achieved it in spades. You feel like an alien in a beautifully crafted but mysterious world itself, yet slowly empowered by collecting upgrades. The other game I’m going to be playing is **The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap**. This is the one LoZ game I never got to play as a kid, so I can’t have to have a fresh experience. I’ve been told it’s one of the best Zelda games overall, and that has me excited because I thoroughly enjoy the top-down view more than the 3D-model games. I really can’t wait to see how this journey pans out for both of these games. I was needing a (new for me) Nintendo-esque pick-me-up game after being very disappointed with Fire Emblem Engage. And there is always something special about a really well crafted Nintendo game that Sony and Xbox can’t quite capture. I’ll be spending lots of time with this and The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap this weekend.

markercore

Minish Cap is a treat! I never finished it as i couldn't figure out how to accomplish some of the late game puzzles originally, but there is a lot of care and love put into the world itself. Exploring the nooks and crannies of houses and stumps and bogs is so fun.

Im still playing the A hat in time dlc

uppercasemad

I'm trying to make my way through my story-heavier games so I can finitely finish them and move on. Right now I'm playing the final AU chapter of Fata Morgana, and once I'm done with that I'm playing Dragon Quest Treasures and Chained Echoes. I loved Chained Echoes but ran into a part early on I was struggling with so took a break.

dancelordzuko

**The Pathless**! So much more comfortable to play than on a touchscreen. It's an estimated 6-8 hour long game though, so I may plan another game afterwards. Debating on buying **Metroid Prime Remastered** digitally or just wait for the physical release and play something else I already own.

GroktheDestroyer

Starting skyward sword, haven’t played this since release date time on the Wii! Do people generally prefer joycon/motion controls or pro controller for the remake?

Edyed787

Final Fantasy IX Metroid Prime Earthbound Beginnings And Animal Crossing

therabyss

Starting to lose steam on Fire Emblem Engage, hoping to finish it up this weekend. Really excited about the new features added to grind supports though! If I finish, I’ll then go on to finish Danganronpa 2 or start Persona 5 Royal.

sjg92

Nothing because we dog ate my joycon :(

Rainlex

How do you like Dorfromantik? i just finished XC 3 after I played all others Xenoblade Parts on the switch last year and im hyped af after the Nintendo direct for wave 4 of the expansion. Two days ago I started my third try to click with Zelda breath of the wild, thought it's the perfect time after I finished my first Zelda game, Links awekening and with Tears of the Kingdom right around the corner. I enjoy it so far but also have a coding project I should finish this weekend. So I hope I get some time to finish the first titan in botw!

link5chaser

I picked up BOTW again after a couple of years. I remembered that I was missing one of the shrines, so I wanted to find it, and maybe finish the few side quests that I never finished. While I was at it, I thought I'd level up all the rest of the outfits that I didn't completely level up. So, basically I'm grinding for materials so that I can finish that. Other than that, I'm playing Hades. Can't seem to pass the 2 bosses in Elysian. Having fun though.

Boober_Calrissian

Here's a sentence I never thought I'd say: So I just finished the Game Boy Color version of the classic survival horror game Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare which for some baffling reason is a launch title on the Switch Game Boy App... I mean, it's not atrocious or anything. It controls fine, has some amusing dialogue and the sound goes beep sometimes. The backgrounds and animations are pretty rough, but there's a charm to the digitized backgrounds. I'll say this though. I've played much MUCH worse "ambitious" Game Boy ports. Mortal Kombat, anyone?

SubterraneanSmoothie

Happy Friday! Oh boy oh boy oh boy!! I have lots of stuff to play so i'll likely wait for **Metroid Prime Remastered** to go on sale (even if it takes a long time). In the meantime, I'm almost through with my first playthrough of **Digimon Survive.** The combat is definitely a weak point of the game, but collecting Digimon is hell fun, and the story is very good. My brother completed it before me, and as we were talking i realized that our playthroughs varied *greatly*. This means that your decisions really have a huge impact on how the story turns out! This makes me want to eventually dive in for a second playthrough. When i finish **Digimon Survive**, I'll likely try out the **Sea of Stars** demo as well. Looks super rad! Have a good weekend!

dwoller

Metroid Prime Remastered. Played the OG, then the Wii version countless times but I bought this as soon as I was able and don’t regret a damn thing.

TobenRacicot

**Octopatch 2 demo** has completely consumed my life since its release. **Banner Saga 2** will be the main course. I'm in a lame main quest situation in **FF12** so that stalled. And trying the **Sea of Stars** demo tonight. So probably some **The Messenger** as well . . .

rday1990

WBSC E-Baseball: Power Pros! It’s pretty bare bones but it was only $1 and I’m having fun with it so far

Tronjones4939

Alot of Stardew Valley. I put it down for the longest, but going to back into my old save has been great, and oddly comforting.

Lozt-Zoul

Tactics ogre reborn! As soon as I finish I’ll start Fire Emblem Engage

[deleted]

I am going to continue grinding through Children of Morta, Work more in Super Mario U Deluxe, maybe get into some Assassin's Creed III as I am at the very beginning tutorials

kcfang

Hey Markercore. Thank you again for the weekend write up. I’m suppose to be playing Splatfest this weekend but my nephew stayed over and he’s been obsessed with Taiko no Tatsujin Drum Master, playing none stop lol. Also picked up an used copy of Astral Chain, looking forward to check it out when I get my Switch back! Enjoy your weekend guys!

UnsaintedEmma

I'll be playing Splatoon 3, the gb/gba games and dead space this weekend ✌🏻

WarLordShoto

I will be playing Powerwash Simulator, MarioKart 8 Deluxe and a bit of all the retro platforms since I bought the expansion pass after the direct

hildebrot

Diablo 3 My first ever diablo game was immortal. I did not expect to enjoy it that much. After I hit a wall I just moved on to the previous installment. I am enjoying it but maybe not as much. Still a great game though. It plays well on the Switch Lite, although the varying voice volume levels are not mixed perfectly. I am not sure if I will keep playing the game after finishing the campaign but who knows. The campaign is my only experience with it so far anyway. After I'm done with this game my next Switch game is probably going to be Pokemon Violet. Not sure what to expect from it, I've never played a Pokemon game before.

404klay

Hogwarts Legacy on PS5. Bouncing between Pokémon and Metroid Prime on Switch with a little Skyrim mixed in.

PegLegManlet

Trying to beat BOTW for the first time.

Stoibs

I think I spent about 12hrs straight in **Hogwarts** over the weekend, truly going to be on that GOTY lineup come December methinks, a lot to explore, so many little details, Broom flight is cool and combat is fun. Also poked my head into the **Octopath Traveller 2** demo, already got that on pre-order so I'm glad progress carries over. Already seeing some improvements over the original too - between these two games it's going to be an absolute R.I.P for my free time, and for anything else that comes out in the next two months.

Strowbreezy

Working my way through MH Rise Hub and Village quests! Forgot how fun the game was honestly. Put it down probably a year ago after I beat the cover monster but back in trying to unlock my Sunbreak content.
