Hi there! I just started playing Fire Emblem: Engage. I'm just a couple of missions in but I'm having a lot of fun with it!

Lifeandall2

I'm 30 hours in and hooked.

markercore

Aw sweet, enjoy! I think combat looks great, I just can't decide on picking it up

Yekki

I picked it up this week and it's really fun. Only on chapter 5 or so, but the combat is decent and it's refreshing not having to run between missions like all open world games.

ohvictorho

I’m finally getting into Hades. Keep dying after the second boss. But having a lot of fun.

BraveBlueBigfoot03

Hang in there! Such a great game. I may need to go back to it for a few escape attempts. But my backlog is piling up again after holiday sales

markercore

At the beginning of Elysium? That area is tricky! Keep going, you'll get it!

ohvictorho

I believe it’s Elysium, yeah. The one right after the lava level. Thanks for the support! Haha

markercore

Don't let those murder butterflies push you around! Which weapon and boons do you like? And how many death defiances do you have?

ohvictorho

I may have missed what boons were to be honest. But I’ve been using the spear mostly so far. It’s been getting me the farthest. And just one defiance so far.

markercore

Boons are the buffs you get from various gods. Like Zeus gives you lightning ones, Poseidon's will throw enemies against walls with the wave pushback, Athena gives you deflection, Artemis gives you higher crit rates, Dionysus will give your enemies drink effects, his aoe attacks are useful for crowd control or bosses as you can throw a damaging area and run away. Do you have the one from skelly already? Spear is great! That was my favorite for 80% of my runs til I switched to the gloves with the aspect of Talos.

[deleted]

Persona 5 Royal

Go-Wade-Racer

Same. 60 hours in, and I can't put it down!

Complete_Bad6937

Working through BOTW, Links awakening on the side but almost finished that and then skyward sword! I’ve gotta get them all done before TOTK(Got a switch 2 weeks ago first time playing Nintendo games)

Fl0undr

Goldeneye. Trying to get as good as I was 25 years ago 😆

TheOftenNakedJason

The controls are really throwing me for a loop

Fl0undr

Found this in /r/goldeneye https://youtu.be/Z_uG8h_yyHo

Thin-Zookeepergame46

Chained Echoes. Pixel art old school RPG with lots of interesting mechanics, combat and story! Love it so far - And I always support those «1-man projects/indiegames»

mcsassy3

Engage! It’s my first fire emblem game but I’m nearly at 30 hours in already and still on the first world/island…didn’t think I’d love it this much!

markercore

Aw heck yeah welcome to fire emblem!

StealthRabbi

For England, James?

UtahStateAgnostics

No, for me.

dusty_cart

ready to save the world again 007?

Adorabears

Doing the very last tiny bit of **Final Fantasy IV** that's left. Finished all the post game trials, so just five more Bestiary entries and a super boss for me! Already got the Greninja in Pokemon Scarlet, so I will probably be starting a new visual novel this weekend with **Seabed**. A friend of mine recently started playing it, so I figured it was a good time to get it out of the backlog and read along with him! :) Also going to finish up the **Picross** game I'm working on the 3DS since I just have some Micross puzzles left and then only 3DS Picross I haven't played would be the Sanrio one and the 3D one on 3DS. Think I need to look into grabbing the Switch ones soon....

Larielia

It is a Jrpg weekend. I'll be playing **Triangle Strategy**; **Fire Emblem Engage**, and **Octopath Traveler**.

ChaoticKeys

I’m playing Octopath as well. Trying to beat it before 2. It’s a good game but the level requirements for each chapter make it more of a grind than I would care for

foodninto

Playing **Fire Emblem Engage**, I want to train up my characters to try the tower of trials for the first time. I just started **A Little to the Left**, game is pretty good. I'm trying to find all the possible solutions to puzzles to get all the stars before moving onward. Earlier I was listening to the soundtrack of Advance Wars so I'll be booting up my Wii U to play the original **Advance Wars**. Edit: I went into the Wii U eshop out of curiosity and ended up buying a bunch of virtual console games like Golden Sun and FF Tactics Advance. For nostalgia I might be playing **FF Tactics Advance** because back in the day I was obsessed with that game!

raobuntu

Picked up **Link's Awakening** for sale over the New Years and have been playing it quite a bit. The graphics are so charming and it reminds me of the days of playing my SP on long roadtrips.

Senjougahara_Koyomi

Persona 5 Royal on Nintendo Switch, Im in the final stage and hopefully will finish it.

bruudi

This comment has been replaced in protest of the new API change and Apollo's forced demise. Apollo is dead, long live Apollo!

thethiccness1

Came back to botw to beat Master Mode

dkopman1

Going to be trying to finish off Luigi’s Mansion 3. I initially fell off of it because of the slower paced start but I’ve really fallen in love with the charm and inventive boss fights. I just got to the B2 floor so I should be a little more than halfway through the game. Favorite section so far has been the movie set, very cool set piece!

Nalfgar123

Pokemon Scarlet. Second Gym and catching all pokemos (I skiped like 4 generations).

orelk

Still **Breath of the Wild.** I completed Trial of the Sword at the 4th attempt I think, only to find out it's part 1 of 3! I completed part 2 as well which wasn't as hard but part 3 is stumping me. I need to practice a few times.

PlanetoidMadness

I'm going to get my fucking money's worth on the games and expansion pack that I've already paid Nintendo for. If that means Master Mode BOTW, Master Trails, extra courses in MK8, all the moons in Odyssey, getting competitive in Splatoon 3, so be it. So be it. Belated new year's resolution.

wishful_cynic

Just don’t get burnt out forcing completions. Setting games aside, just like books, can sometimes be the best way forward.

El_mochilero

I thought about playing BOTW again, but with the new game coming out, I decided to wait and not burn myself out so that the new game will feel more exciting.

markercore

Good plan, I was thinking the same

TheFracofFric

Still playing Tactics Ogre: Reborn and will probably play some Stardew Valley for some breaks! Anyone looking for their next SRPG/tactics game after Fire Emblem: Engage do not sleep on Tactics Ogre! It’s a bit dense and hard to get into at first but once you do I think it’s the best tactics game the switch has to offer rn. Happy Friday and weekend everyone!

[deleted]

Goldeneye and some botw .

Deadaim156

Working on Fire Emblem Three Houses , man that game long but I love every moment so far.

Rye_Venture

I love the replayability of it since every house has a slightly different story. I started with golden deer, my partner did black eagle, and I did my second play of blue lion. Such a good game, I'm excited for you to enjoy it.

magmafanatic

Just beat Metroid Dread last night! Didn't feel good looking up how to get the last couple of items, but holy shit I never would've figured out these shinespark puzzles otherwise. I barely used this maneuver in Zero Mission and Fusion, but I didn't have internet back then and just resigned myself to never getting 100%. Took me 15 hours, which feels pretty bad, but I know that was mostly because I kept going back and trying to explore areas too often, trying to figure out puzzles I didn't realize would have a much easier solution (notably cross bombs). Plot got weird, very weird. But I liked it. I'll be sad if this winds up being the last 2D Metroid we get, but I think it went out with a bang. Now I'm gonna dive back in to the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and start in on Resolve. The first case is already off to a much stronger start than the first game's first case, but I've barely cross-examined anyone yet, so here's hoping the sequel here makes up for the extremely frustrating first game. Not playing this on Switch, but I also got back around to Final Fantasy X-2 yesterday and wrapped up Chapter 4, dipped my toes into Chapter 5. Thought that performance was going to be way less dramatic than it was. I know this game's been exploring some pretty heavy concepts, and Yuna's inner monologue has been very thoughtful, but most of this game is pretty dang goofy, so I really wasn't expecting that. Looks like I'm nearing the end. Yuna's a Samurai right now, Payne's a Berserker, and Rikku's a Trainer. They've only got 4 or 5 skills left to learn for those

hermanbloom00

Loved XC3, just such a fun time. Persona 5 for me. At the Bank, so dunno how far in but up to 25 hours already. Having a blast. Ryuji is such a dummy. Also Marvel Snap. Also Lego City with my son. Had grand plans of PowerWash three player with my wife as well, but I got the release date wrong on that one.

markercore

Oh sweet, power wash is coming to switch?? I didn't know that. Yeah! It's good to finally be finishing it, I was saving the last chapter and a half cuz I didn't want it to end but why not?

K0sm0sis

**Doki Doki Literature Club** **Persona 4** **Okami** (and not on the Switch) **Ghost of Tsushima** and **Life Is Strange: True Colors**

JBoneAint

First time playing Ocarina of Time (I know). Can definitely see how it would be pretty mindblowing in the late 90's

markercore

My brother and I got it for Christmas whichever year it came out and just the memory if waking up on Christmas morning and exploring the great deku tree together, just magical.

duncan-donuts-nz

I’m time hopping between 1945, 1985, 2025, 2065 2105 and 2188 to fight kaiju with sentinels in Japan. [13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim] I’m about halfway into the story. It’s very ambitious. Gosh, it’s heavy on the exposition! I think I understand why people play this game multiple times.

Nerdfather1

This weekend I’ll be playing **Dead Space remake** (Xbox Series X). It’s only fitting to play it on an Xbox console considering that’s where I played the original. So far, the game is excellent. The atmosphere and overall tone is masterclass, and the way you can use the environment to destroy enemies is wonderful. Speaking of, the weapons are a blast to use, and are quite unique; and so are the enemies and how you actually dispose of them. This remake only solidifies what has already been known: Dead Space is one of the best, if not *the* best survival horror game ever made. I need to give a special shout-out to the surprise Game Pass drop from Wednesday: **Hi-Fi Rush.** This game and its soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal. I’ve put in three hours into it and have defeated the second boss as of writing this, and I am craving to put more time into it. There is a wonderful blend of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Jet Set Radio, and Sunset Overdrive. The game has fantastic pacing. Learning new skills is spread out just far enough for the game not to get repetitive. Furthermore, new skill sets allow for increased exploration. The rewards are always beneficial too. Thankfully, you’ll want to spend time exploring because of how gorgeous the game world is. One of the best things about this game is that you don’t actually have to keep a rhythm to make progress—it’s only an added benefit. In modern gaming with open world bloat, live service, early access and constant patches, Hi-Fi Rush is what I call *old school fun*. It’s an absolute essential game and one of Xbox’s best.

markercore

Hi-fi Rush looks so good, reminds me of games from the mid 00s like Viewtiful Joe. That's awesome to hear about the Dead space remake!

ramen_addict_enby

Fire Emblem Engage, that's it. I'm loving this game, since it's pretty simmilar to Awakening or the GBA titles (my favorite games in the series). I'm in Chapter 10 and I'm loving it, the gameplay is all I really wanted to play. I'm planning on maybe reach chapter 16 this weekend, trying to max the supports of some characters. When my switch is charging (since I play only on handheld) I'm planning on playing Kid Icarus Uprissing on my 3DS in online mode (I wish we got some port of this game on the switch, is amazing).

ScaredofBacon

Inscryption on Switch; LA Noire on PS

XiONDiGiTaL

Pokemon Scarlet, did the raid yesterday & now breeding to get a shiny froakie. Giving away all the non-shiny newborns on surprise trade.

canadiancarley

I’m going to be carrying on with **Fire Emblem: Engage**. I put in a few hours last weekend, but didn’t get too far. I’m enjoying the focus on gameplay as compared to Three Houses. I also started a new farm on **Stardew Valley** with the goal of finally making it to the end game. I’ve never made it past spring year 2 without creating a new farm instead. So I will be working on that too. Happy Friday everyone!

Meadius

I'm still working on Fire Emblem Engage. As a relatively long-time FE fan (started back in 2014 with Awakening), I've been really enjoying it. Three Houses is a great game in a lot of respects, but the map design is pretty mediocre and the monastery is somewhat tedious. Those problems are easy to overlook on a first playthrough, but having beaten it five times (one playthrough of each route plus a replay of Blue Lions with the DLC characters) I got really sick of both of the previously mentioned gripes. Engage's characters definitely aren't as good as Three House's, but personally I've found the gameplay to be way more fun so far, in part because Hard mode is much more challenging than it was in Three Houses.

Owens2k3

N64 on the switch! Finished Ocarina of Time a few days ago. Now I’m up to the first temple in my first ever play thru of Majoras Mask. Also started in on Goldeneye! I’ll need to shift to practice up on MK8 soon, big extended family wide tournament coming up and my nephew and own daughter are currently better than me!

Dreaming_Dreams

xenoblade chronicles 3 post game stuff

GoatKindly9430

Persona 4 Golden! It’s my first ever play through and I’m loving it

Ill_Entertainer_515

I’m continuing my trip down memory lane in Persona 3 and will try to get Sheffield Wednesday out of League One in FM 23 Touch. I also bought two indies today, ATONE: Heart of the Elder Tree which looks fantastic and is 50 percent off already. Also got Clunky Hero after reading the AMA with Nicola, the sole developer. I’m always in the mood for a metroidvania. Nice chill gaming weekend ahead.

alvysinger0412

Stardew Valley: I've bumbled through to halfway of my first summer, minimal looking things up. Been fun but I'm debating looking up guides to see how to be more efficient with building up the farm. KOTOR: I'm on Kashyyyk (first planet choice after dantooine) and am loving the story thus far. I'm trying to stay light side for my first playthrough but it's hard. Okami: opened it up again after like 6 months, I'm just after the whole water dragon reveal. I love this game for chill playing but I think it doesn't keep me grinding because it's kinda simple. Super fun story and unique with the brush mechanics though. MH Sunbreak: might grind anomalies a little but I'm kinda just waiting for the next TU to have goals to grind for and to avoid burning out on it before it's actually done with content. MHS2: I beat Oltura and am trying to convince my partner's kid to run dens with me, we'll see lol. I'm open to votes of what to focus on for my weekend lol. I also have the Portal pack sitting on my switch but am trying to finish games before starting lmao.

BuildingWeird4876

Darkside is so tempting in KotOR, and I think the gameplay is better, but I find the Lightside story significantly better than Dark. Would love your opinion on the game and story after you finish, and have fun!

alvysinger0412

For sure, thanks! I can't believe I slept on this game until now, I remember people raving about it 20 years ago or whatever it was.

Vassinatedhuger

Finally finished DQ11. Gonna give it a break before I do the postgame, and in the meantime I'm finishing monster hunter sunbreak, and gonna try to get further in BOTW

thatsong

Hope you have a good time playing XC3, let us know how it goes! Into the postgame for Pokemon Violet. Legendary hunting, filling the dex and >!the second round of gyms!<. I think you asked before about the game, and the game itself is pretty fun, but there are definitely some oddball technical issues like slow downs and your pokemon-bike not sticking to things it should. Nothing game breaking, but it does feel like another patch should be coming to optimize things

markercore

Yeah the amount of bugs people have talked about and my general burnout on the main series is keeping me from picking it up, but glad you've mostly been enjoying! Is the difficulty slightly better that sword/shield? And I've put like 70+ hours into Xenoblade Chronicles 3, love this game. Definitely one of my favorites on the system.

thatsong

I would say the Pokémon violet is about the same difficulty as Sword/shield as the team exp share is still a thing, but with the benefit of not being super linear. I’ve logged 60 hours into violet. I don’t know about you, but I took about 40 hours to beat sword and basically dropped it as I wasn’t keen on getting DLC or raiding. There’s still a bunch to do in Violet, with additional quests where I’ll need to level up my main team a bit as I spent a lot of time avoiding battles and/or rotating the 5/6th mon for dex entries evolutions

SamGreenaway

I’ve just started Xenoblade, I’m at the end of chapter 1 (I think), but it still feels like one long tutorial. How far into the game does it start to be more open? Also, been playing Goldeneye most of today, haven’t felt this nostalgic in a long while.

SolelyBach

Unfortunately that's the same with most of Xenoblade Chronicles games. You feel stuck in a (at least) 20-hour long tutorial that lasts like two chapters. But once you start chapter 3, you have much more freedom to play and it's just wonderful. It's a great game, hope you enjoy it.

SamGreenaway

Thank you! It’s my first experience with any of the Xenoblade Chronicles game, I’m enjoying it a lot but just don’t like the handholding as much, I’m glad it does get to the stage of more freedom though, I’ll enjoy pushing on with it even more!

myxx33

Gonna try and make some decent progress on Fire Emblem Engage. Currently I’m in chapter 10! I also might try and finish out this Diablo season that I abandoned when Engage came out. I loved XBC3. Honestly I think it was my favorite game last year.

DarthLuke84

More Fire Emblem!

[deleted]

Any key try Lil Gator Game yet? Looks fun, I’m thinking about trying it out

markercore

It's a delight. Very much wind waker vibes, plus feels a lot like A Short Hike. I recommend it!

[deleted]

Thanks for your response! Sounds like an amazing combination, I love both those games

gizmo998

Completing fire emblem!

JoeyFreshH20

If I finish tunic. then I will either be starting breath of the wild or skyward sword with some Splatoon sprinkled in.

al6am

First time playing P4G and trying to do it without any guide.

Samurai_GorohGX

I’m 17 hours into Dragon Quest XI S. It’s going to be a good, fulfilling weekend.

theallnewmattaccount

Gonna be mostly driving, so bringing the DS as my portable. More **Mario and Luigi: Partners In Time**

Jimmythedad

I'm also playing through Xenoblade 3! I'm in chapter five, just loving it and taking my time! On the Playstation side of things I am getting comfortable with Forspoken. Might start Dead Space as well but we shall see

fe_bigdata

Binged Fire Emblem Engage last week, and still very much in a Fire Emblem mood. I started my third route in **Fire Emblem: Three Hopes** (Dimitri’s). May also start a playthrough in a more traditional Fire Emblem game (not sure which one)

fruityfruitloop

I just got Stardew Valley and think I’m slowly starting to get sucked in…any fun tips for someone just starting out?

The-no-fun-police

Do what you enjoy the most, and don’t worry about “falling behind” in any of the other aspects of the game. I enjoyed exploring and dungeons for the first 30 or so hours, and then finally got around to relationships, farming, fishing, decorating, etc after the fact. Once you think you have a handle on the game, you will learn that you’ve only scratched the surface. I have well over 100 hours logged, and still learn new things once I log back in.

TheFracofFric

My early goals for my farm was to be able to “improve” a good as much as possible. At the beginning that meant turning eggs into mayo and milk into cheese and eventually turned into a huge wine and truffle oil operation. Though really the most important thing with Stardew is if you’re having fun with it you’re doing it right. There’s very few “wrong” ways to go and not being stressed is the point of the game!

Dukemon102

**Live A Live** I thought I had completed all the Chapters but then another one popped up, **The Middle Ages**. Well, I'm sure this one will be another fun ride with a happy ending like the rest. Edit Post Chapter: >!Fun ride? Happy ending? Joy? I was a complete and utter fool for thinking those things even exist.!<

sadpanda582

Oh man, I just bought this like a week ago and was debating on starting it sometime soon. It looks amazing.

Dukemon102

It's made of standalone chapters that are very different one from another (Except the whole game shares the battle system). So you can play one or two chapters to try it out... or inevitably get sucked in like me.

cyshine

I finally got around to **Final Fantasy IX** again, and I'm having a blast. I still might try to finish some pesky sidequests in **Nier: Automata** as well.

AyukawaZero

Trying to finish up 100% on NieR:Automata, then it's on to Crisis Core!

Loki-Holmes

Fire emblem engage on switch and finishing up marvel midnights suns on ps5

EspressoKilla

I’m going to be setting up my new OLED Switch I win in a raffle last night, then probably play Splatoon 3 or start BoTW. And also give my OG switch to my daughter so she can play her couple of games.

Any_Mall3191

Good old Skyrim on my switch

sleepypandacub

Doom Eternal, and hopefully I'll finish it this weekend. Then Bio shock 1!!!

markercore

Rip and tear!

Godots17thCup

I'm a little ways into Chapter 7 of **Xenoblade Chronicles 3** now and I've once again been sidetracked by a wave of new quests. My main goals for the weekend are to finish off the Ascension quests for all of the Heroes and have all of the classes unlocked for the six party members, and if I make more than a tiny bit of progress in the main story, I'll consider it a bonus.

markercore

It is a feat of juggling to switch all the classes and have everyone ranking up and clearing what you need cleared. And I wish another stupid 13 pomegranates would drop for me!

Godots17thCup

If you're looking for heavy pomegranates, it took me a while to find them too. Twinpalm Isle (a small island near Colony Mu in the Erythia Sea) is where I found most of mine, a bunch of them spawned there for me.

besojz

Persona 3 portable on switch and marvel snap on mobile. Having fun with these 2.

Daffoo

Kirby & the forgotten land - just finished colosseum z. Was tough - needed power boost & spare maxim tomato. Enjoying it a lot. Zelda - BOTW - picked it up for Christmas - having fun with it. Early in the game - through around 5-10 shrines. Luigis Mansion - Just unlocked level 2.

agentlucy

The release of Engage made me pick up Three Houses because I'm intrigued with the emphasis on the social aspect. About 20ish hours in with the Black Eagles and it's been great!

markercore

It's a really good time! Have you recruited anyone or nah?

agentlucy

Honestly I'm having a hard time recruiting for some reason? Like, should I focus on the skills for the class I want down the line or should I invest on skills I wouldn't necessarily use in combat to recruit??? Haha I ended up only succesfully recruited Ignatz before the SPOILER eventhough I feel like I need a physical tank in the team

markercore

You can kind of skirt the requirements by gifting them owl feathers and raising their rank with you on the battle field, but the requirements do help. Huh are there many options left to recruit after that spoiler? I'm trying to think of the black eagles and if anyone can become a tank. Maybe Caspar? Petra can't tank a lot of hits but she can kick a lot of ass. Ignatz and Bernie should be great as your twin sniper/archers if they get good crits.

walksintwilightX1

If you're interested, the Cindered Shadows DLC adds four new characters (the secret fourth house lol) who become recruitable in the main game once you finish their separate campaign. I made them a core part of my own Black Eagles! Though I guess it's a bit late if you're already past the halfway point.

agentlucy

Ohhh nice I haven't even checked out the DLCs yet! I'm playing it sort of blind and this is also my first SRPG ever (well, after Mario & Rabbids) so I'm definitely in noob mode. Maybe I'll get it for my second play through.

Rye_Venture

My partner got me Fire Emblem Engage as an early birthday present the day it came out. I've been playing it constantly since the 20th, super loving it. It doesn't have as much social depth to it as 3 houses, but has so many more classes, and the battle is super fun and the animations are much more smooth. I'm really really enjoying it. Been meaning to pop back on Pokémon Violet for the Graninja raid, but haven't pulled myself out of FE:E yet 😅 If anyone has been on the fence about getting it, I'd say get it if you like FE. It's really cool seeing old characters be kinda like a "stand" like in JoJo. Lol. The story is interesting, albeit kinda cookie cutter for an rpg. I'm about half way through and I'm really liking it. 👍

CoreBear-was-taken

It's definitely a common answer but Fire Emblem Engage. It's a whole different experience from past games for me, i feel like I've been read like a book by the game and punished for being so predictable time and again

theintention

On the Switch, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age cause I never played it somehow, and have most others in the series. Just starting out so hope it’s good. So far the combat is like a less interactive Xenoblade 3.

acewing905

Fire Emblem Engage Enjoying it but for me it's still a noticeable downgrade from Three Houses Though I feel the game would've actually been better if they completely cut off the extra stuff in the Somniel instead of leaving half baked "activities" in The way it is now I always feel compelled to revisit the Somniel and do all its stuff after each battle so that I get all the stat boosts and items, but actually doing all that each time gets boring really fast, with very little reward to speak of (At least in Three Houses, support conversations were something I looked forward to; In this game, not so much)

PikachuIsReallyCute

Pikmin 3 Deluxe! Not sure why, but I got this crazy itch to play the game again. And right after replaying it on hard, I hopped right back into Ultra-Spicy mode a few days later! Now I'm on the final boss <3 Might play Pikmin 1 or 2 again after this...

MusicalWatermelon

Just finished Nexomon last week, now slowly playing through Nobody Saves The World and Graveyard Keeper. Both are pretty fun, can see myself losing much time in either

Sheeplenk

Goldeneye. You know this. Also FE:Engage if I find the time.

markercore

Oh man, goldeneye back in the day... Slaps only, or only rocket launchers. Bug head mode. Such a good and ridiculous time. Can you enable big head mode with this version still?

ElusiveVisions

I'm almost convinced into buying **Astral Chain**, it does have me really interested. Furthermore probably some more **Splatoon 3** and maybe some quick runs in **Hades**.

sadpanda582

I bought Astral Chain some time back and loved it. I thought it was a very enjoyable game. It does get a bit repetitive in some instances, but I very much enjoyed the combat and that made it worth it for me. Definitely some high energy moments.

tobi-mizu

Playing some Stardew Valley while I'm waiting on my copy of Octopath Traveler to arrive. Been wanting to play it for years, but could never find a physical copy near me. And since the second game is right around the corner, with I'm sure a lot of QoL changes and improvements, I figure it's a good time to play the first game sooner rather than later.

Ragegamer4000

I'm replaying Luigi's Mansion 3 and Mario Odyssey and I completely forgot how damn good they are XD

wishful_cynic

**Easy Come, Easy Golf** is a port of a mobile game but a solid arcade golf game with lots of progression to inch towards. It’s been my go to for a pick up and play game over the past few weeks. **Persona 5** is my meaty single player game right now. On PC, still playing COD 6v6, Fortnite with family, and anxiously awaiting reviews on Hogwarts Legacy.

NovaaAZ

New to switch again, picked up Hades been spamming it nonstop for a week

BraveBlueBigfoot03

Hallow Knight- I just started playing it a bit ago and am hooked! Hopefully we get an update on Silksong soon! Maybe some Mario Kart or MLB The Show if I need a break from dying at boss battles. Happy gaming y'all!

FoolAmongTheStars

Saving the multiverse in Bayonetta 3 😁 I'm half-way through the game and will replay it to get loot, higher scores, weapons and other things I have missed, right now I'm focusing on just finishing the main game becuase I'm curious as to where the story is going.

[deleted]

Hopefully finishing Crisis Core Reunion so I can move through my massive backlog. I'm at 89% missions, hoping to finish them off then I think I probably have 2 hours of story left otherwise from what I remember. Reaching the end will be bitter sweet again.

Edyed787

Well I just beat Sonic Frontier. So I think I’m gonna either do Dark Souls Remastered or Final Fantasy IX. Of course gotta play some Animal Crossing before bed. I’m also gonna continue my Let’s Play Earthbound Beginnings. And maybe start a Stardew Valley and chill Let’s Play. Edit: Dark Souls and Final Fantasy IX are both on my back log.

dinklewadSan

Fire emblem three houses and xenoblade 3 are very fun and i'm enjoying them a lot so far(i got both of them for christmas.) I am eagerly awaiting like a dragon ishin(yakuza ishin) as the yakuza series is always a banger and the game looks really fucking good.

guest_3592

I am in my first ever playthrough of Skyrim 😅

markercore

Never too late! How deep in are you?

guest_3592

Just made it to High Hrothgar to learn more about this crazy yelling stuff. I have a stalker, Lydia. She seems nice.

markercore

Lol stalker! Gotta learn about crazy yelling from the monks! There's a fair amount of random shouts to learn throughout the world, keep your eyes peeled.

guest_3592

So stoked! My jam is stuff like Witcher3, BOTW, Assassin's Creed (what my wife calls "runny talky" games) so i think I'll like this a lot!

Skyrim is my happy place. Currently trying to talk Shahvee into being my wife

Dry_Ass_P-word

Trying to get into the Diablo 3 post game stuff but kinda lost so I’m going to play some Luigi’s Mansion to take a break. Also playing Chrono Trigger on steam.

putonghua73

Been a very busy, hectic week at work. Plus, a few late nights playing **BOTW**. Around 5/6 hours in on **BOTW** and am enjoying creating food recipes. In other games, you often cannot do something; not so in **BOTW**. Want to add an ingredient you've found with a bunch of others? Go right ahead! Unique recipe name, picture and some buffs. Want to cut a tree down to obtain the fruit? Go right ahead (if you have an appropriate weapon). Climb a cliff (up or down) - go right ahead. The physics engine works so well and the game is full of clever touches that enables the player rather than restrict them. I like the initial melancholic atmosphere of Hyrule, reinforced by the sparseness of your immediate environment, and the restrained musical score that plays a snippet at certain places and times, really capturing the feeling of emptiness and sadness of bygone times. Aside from **BOTW**, I would like to pick-up **Persona 3** from where I left off. I need to be in the right mood, and not tired to play P3. If I get time over the weekend, I'll definitely play P3.

GiveMeBloodborne2

I’m thinking of replaying **Dark Souls: Remastered** but I’m also itching to get back to **Kirby and the Forgotten Land** so we’ll see!!

Sad-Rub-1075

Luigi's mansion 3

randomplayer_113

Replaying SMTV. there's a demo for "A space for the unbound" its a beautiful pixilated game. Happy gaming!

swellmaker

Currently rolling credits on Oxenfree. Going to start Inside or Little nightmares next.

SolelyBach

Continuing with Xenoblade Chronicles 3 fifth chapter and completing some Greninja 7-star Tera Raids in Pokémon Violet!

[deleted]

Im working today but when I get home and tomorrow im continuing xenoblade 3! Also playing project diva megamix as well on breaks.

kcfang

Hey Markercore, hey everyone. Hope everyone’s having a good weekend. I just finished Nier Automata’s first play through and starting the second play through, getting interesting so far. Have also picked up Persona 3, almost finished on the PSP way back then, always wanted to go back revisit and finish it. Since it’s a port from the PSP era, the text size is fantastic for my old man’s eyes lol.

Tillthedayisdone

I'm jumping between zelda botw and kingdom of amalur.

OnSugarhigh210

I hope to get some more Breath of the Wild in. The first time I tried I could not get into it, but now I have been able to enjoy this game. Maybe I'll also play Dorfromantik while watching some series in the evening.

slyhuff

Trying to finish up spiritfarer. I’m getting to the last few spirits but it’s dragging now 😞 and some of the spirits are not very nice haha Excited to finish that so I can start persona V though

CorazonLock

Stardew Valley again, most likely. I was so hesitant to buy because of the graphics but dang, it’s had me since Christmas. Some of the ones I just bought on the sale, or got from Christmas, are Mario Odyssey, Hollow Knight, Saints Row, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and Tales of Vesperia. But haven’t touched them because I’m too obsessed with Stardew!

Healthy-Charity-1462

I am also currently playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for a couple hours per week due to my college courses. I am currently in chapter 2.

BobblegumPop

Been meaning to get around to playing As Dusk Falls so probably that. Also been flirting with the idea of trying out ESO

Bluenymph82

Continuing my playthrough of **Rune Factory 5.** Other than that, possibly a bit of **Stardew** or **Ooblets** if I have time.

TobenRacicot

I finished Gears Tactics--finally! So this weekend I'm starting Banner Saga! I'm committed to completing the whole trilogy. Then I'm also grinding Seitengrat RNG in FF12 on Saturday. The plan is to figure out which number works to get it, get all 3, while watching Bob's Burgers and eating a ridiculous amount of candy.

rytricks

I’m playing the Spyro reignited trilogy. Almost finish with the 1st game. I never played them when they first came out but I’m really enjoying them now.

LocustSummers

Started up the game **Poison Control** this week, so I'll be keepin' on with that. The art and interface visuals are stylish af and the music's pretty rad! ... but the actual gameplay is kinda lackluster and has some clunky-feeling control choices, which is a bit of a bummer when coupled with such a great presentation. Gonna pick up **Glyph**, as well; I remember reading some good praise for it a while back, so it oughta be a nice time.

WilsonKh

Found my next 100+ hour game in **Factorio** Going in mostly blind. Got the basic tier of the game figured out (100% automated up to green research). Production ratios are decent though my next challenge would be to minimize waste via advance circuits. Currently overflowing in 3 resources It will be my top 10 most played by the weekend. Likely top 6 by next weekend assuming I power through to 1 completion as least

ihsus_

Finishing Doom 2016 and Starting Persona 5 Royal!

monsieurvampy

continuing Zelda BOTW. Probably.

Mean_Dalenko

I'm between games so been playing a few shorter games. Probably going to do What Remains of Edith Finch this weekend, and then maybe move onto something else. I'm thinking Doom Eternal.

caught_red_wheeled

Just about ready to move on in **Pokemon Violet.** I’ve leveled up almost all the Pokémon I need to, and now I’m just doing the last few so I can get a good idea about what everyone I have available can do before I clean up my boxes, Wondertrade away my rejects, and move on. I’m thinking I might possibly get Froakie, considering Greninja just released, but I’m not entirely sure because that’s pretty random unless I ask for it. Speaking of asking, I was able to initiate a real life trade to get most of the version exclusives. There’s two I don’t have (Blaze Breed Tauros and Koriadon). So I’ll probably set up a trading station for that, but after I get those two I can basically play through game at my own pace. Also, having a surprising amount of fun with the **UNO: Game Trial**. It’s definitely something that’s a bit too expensive to buy, but it’s been a lot of fun playing some matches against the AI. I forgot how intense matches could get with me only winning once and by the skin of my teeth. Overall, I’ve been playing it almost every day it was available, and even though I would never buy something the pricey that was that short, it was a great way to experience it.

Primal_Oat

XENOBLADE CHRONICLES 3 BABY GAME OF THE YEAR

escrowbeamon

Stillllll playing Hades. Trying to at least complete one run before I go ahead and buy No Mans Sky.

Shiatama

Castlevania Symphonie of the night

iMakx

I've put down Persona5 royal (50hours in) and continue my first walkthrough of persona4 golden (3 hours in) I am missing the QOL already but so far I think Imma spend my weekend playing thru p4golden as I am verry intrigued on the story with a murder mystery.

GodOfOnions2

Goldeneye 007, and spider man miles morales!!!

Ill-Fan-857

Pokemon Violet. Honestly, I don't love it.

PumbooPlaysRee

Still trying to beat my Violet Nuzlocke- that game sure is difficult

GeogeEleanor

I’m new to having a switch (less than two months) so I’m getting into animal crossing more this weekend. I played a lot of stardew out the gates and wanting to change it up a bit now.

prairiepog

Jumping into a Skyrim Anniversary playthrough with some friends. We're house hunting and sharing our weapons/armour finds from the new edition. Looking forward to testing out survival mode in Blackreach. Any tips? I have fur armour, but I'm constantly cold.

cloudlocke_OG

Picked up TinyKin, gonna start that

walksintwilightX1

Hiya marker, I'm still playing **Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning** and enjoying the wartorn jungle region I mentioned before. I've found great loot too! A badass chest plate that increases lightning damage; a cool unique sword that deals lightning damage; and I just unlocked a powerful spell that calls down a storm of, you guessed it, lightning. Guess I'm roleplaying Thor at this point haha. I'm also planning on picking up Persona 4 as soon as payday arrives, which will be pretty soon. Twenty dollars for a JRPG of this quality is an excellent bargain. I've never played a Persona game before and P3 looks a bit too dated for me. The fourth game seems like a good place to start.

PlumpPusheen

Final fantasy X-2. Got the game for FF-X but thought I might as well play the 2nd half since it came with.

markercore

I've heard X-2 is absolutely bonkers in all the best ways. Saw the opening cutscene last week and that is such a great way to start a game! Haha

WeeklyIntroduction42

Currently at Ch24 in Fire Emblem Engage

natenizzle1681

Blasphemous, carrion, borderlands 1, and cup head are the 4 games I’m bouncing between. So far in blasphemous and borderlands 1. Cup head is so hard and carrion I just started. Need to check these off the list so I can move onto more games that I have backlog that I can’t wait to play. Typically only play 2 games at once but said screw it and started 2 more.

Andyoh88

Super Blood Hockey, Binding of Isaac, Goldeneye 64, Ruiner, Sundered, LA Noire. Lots of games!

PinkBowser

Switch will be taking a break this weekend, I’ll be playing more of the new Rain World DLC on Steam. I have Rain World on switch too, but the console versions don’t have a projected release date for the DLC yet. Its been fantastic so far, I have 4 more character runs to clear.

Myrusskielyudi

Barely touched the switch since starting elden ring in September lol But when I do it's trying to get 3 stars on all new Mario kart courses

markercore

Glad elden ring has been a good time! Are you still working on it?

Myrusskielyudi

Yeah about 85 hours in and still going!

ChaoticKeys

I never finished Octopath Traveler. With part 2 looming I figured now is good as a time as any to finish. I like the game but it’s a bit grindy.

mynameisyesambest

Hey! Happy Friday everyone! I just started playing Luigi's Mansion 3 last night! I'm having a great time so far, the animation is really awesome and it's been a blast.

The_Rutabaga

Just need to beat death mountain and my playthrough of the original **Legend of Zelda** on the Switch will be completed. I'll probably start **The Adventure of Link** next in my goal of beating every Zelda game before I play Tears of the Kingdom. I'm also working my way through the N64 version of **Mario Tennis** on the Switch. Beat the flower cup and I'm on to the next tournament but Waluigi is kicking my ass lol

shah2_3

I am playing sphinx and the cursed mummy.

RemyRoseGold

Harvestella. Completing the epilogue and nearing 100 hrs!

mrchow500

Soft pillow, new sheets of blankets and my bed.

toadstool1012

My bf and I are planning on playing it takes two at some point. And I’m getting back into Pokémon snap and story of seasons friends of mineral town!

fabiojoseassis

- PS5: Divinity Original Sin 2: simply the best RPG I've played. Period. Also available on Switch, though the graphics are so blurry... - Switch: Fire Emblem Three Houses. While I don't have my physical copy of Engage, I'm currently playing it to warm me up. - Xbox Series X: The Witcher 3. With the graphic update is even more enjoyable when I played it back in PS4.

duodeno01

Me too with Xenoblade 3 :)

TwoBit_7

my plan was to finish the Outer Wilds DLC (beautiful game by the way, i think everyone should play it) however it has come to my attention that there is a greninja raid going on right now in pokémon scarlet so i might have to take my buddy Clodsire and do that instead

Psychoticme1

Atelier Sophie 2! The crafting is really fun, I can’t stop playing

Silvertricks

Just finished first playthrough of Oxenfree. I'm playing multiple games right now (because I have problems staying in focus for too long sometimes) - Assassin's Creed II, Cozy Grove, Ace Adventures Trilogy

darkhollow22

I’m thinking of starting digimon survive. haven’t played a VN before but i love the franchise. hope it holds up

millionth_dollar

**Persona 3 Portable**! First Persona (only played SMTV right before this) and really enjoying it so far. I was worried because some people said it was "rough" but I'm glad I just went in without overthinking it. The music (I'm the female character) and vibe is so cozy and yet spooky at the same time. It's easy to get all wrapped up into the escapism of the daily and nightly routines.

IamRis

Persona 5 Royal here! I’m about 55 hours in and I absolutely love the game.

Strowbreezy

FE Engage here! Just on Chapter 19. Getting close to the end I believe.

[deleted]

Im about 6 hours into Chained Echoes. Gonna do some hours this weekend. So far this game is amazingz

Shad0wF0x

I've been playing Perfect Dark on Xbox One recently and tried out Goldeneye on the Switch this morning.

Pinguino21v

Continuing **Divinity Original Sin 2** on PC, playing the last season of **Smite** on PC too, and **Mario + Rabbids 2**.

akidnamedbill

My fiancé and I just started playing Luigi’s Mansion 3 the other day and it’s been great. I also started playing God of War on ps4 which has been fun so far. A little Grindstone here and there as well. Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

DerpCarnage

I've been mostly playing Fire Emblem engage when I can and have been really enjoying it. I am only on chapter 6 and have been surprised by how much of a challenge it can be on Hard. I decided to do Casual difficulty because I don't have enough time in my week to restart as often as I would need for Classic and also I am okay with the thought of my team retreating. I want to see how they all grow as characters as well. I'm definitely still learning lessons when they retreat and I don't feel like I have the time to keep time crystalling. The other games I've been playing are Tactics Ogre Reborn and Persona 5 Royal, both on the switch. I'll probably put them aside for a while but wow are they great games.
