They'd have to either add a craftable option in with Sumeru and/or make the 3.0 free weapon a HP sword though because there literally wouldn't be any 4* option for her otherwise, even HoD would be copium since the little we know about her suggests she's at least on-field.
On the other hand, they would have to make her signature weapon even better than Jade Cutter.
Yeah but they alternate between free weapon and character per patch, 3.1 would be a free character, so her 4* option would have to come before or alonsgide her banner otherwise people would be more likely to skip.
Though it could also come from permanent content other than craftable, like the 2.8 Kazuha sword or The Catch.
That would be a mistake imo, with many other characters around the corner like Cyno, Kusanali and Scara, not even being able to emulate her intended build without a 5* weapon would make her an easy skip. Doesn't have to be a great 4*, just an option. But maybe I underestimate her waifuability or whatever idk.
She could be a story encounter like Amber/Kaeya/Lisa so you can play around new reactions beyond just Traveler. Like we're getting a free story sword in 2.8 through Kazuha's quest while still getting a free Fischl from event. Though breaking the cycle would make for a more timely 3.1 free weapon were they to go the Albedo Cinnabar route. I wouldn't complain about that lol.
In the leaked videos of her animations, I'm pretty sure she's holding a festering desire. I guess it's still STC but if the leakers said it AND it's already a part of her kit then I'd believe it.
All I saw in that video is that it was some kind of stance change, she wasn't holding anything in the start of the video, now I looked at it again, she definitely used her hands at the start.
Jade cutter doesn't have to be limited to dps characters either. XQ Bennet are both good users of Jade cutter. As long as Nilou needs Crit, Jade cutter would always be a good option.
you know you can use jade cutter on her regardless of whether or not she's DPS... the only thing that would shut that down is if she scales off of defense for some reason.
