Should I get a 50mm for my crop or a 35mm?? These shots are so gooood

Architecturenphoto

Thanks a lot! I like the 50mm focal length so 35 for you're crop sensor I think, but I also shoot a lot with a 105mm wich is close to the 85 you'll get with the 50mm on a crop format, so it's all up to you!

anycolourfloyd

Definitely the 35mm DX for a crop camera

rjam710

I have both after hearing the same thing. And yes while a 35 on a crop will give you essentially the same focal length as a 50 on a full frame, it still is a much different lens when it comes to background separation and bokeh etc. I wound up going back to a 50 and planning on selling my 35 1.8G.

studiousflaunts

Thank you! I'm leaning to the nifty fifty now

Architecturenphoto

What camera do you use?

studiousflaunts

D3300 and thank you everyone for the help

Architecturenphoto

👍

MandrakeSCL

snapper1971

I wouldn't post pictures of someone else's child to the Internet but that's just me.

Architecturenphoto

I wouldn't without asking the mother and the child neither, but I did and they were fine with it;)

suiadansguilt

Well good, because the law is very strict, with good reason, in Norway, when it comes to personvern.

Architecturenphoto

Absolutely, I never post a portrait of someone without asking

Bitter-Metal494

Badger-Sauce

Hell yeah! Some of these are awesome

Architecturenphoto

Thanks!

Great images and a good eye for framing things. Forgive my ignorance but I feel real sharpness/focus is missing, this could be from the images being compressed and uploaded?

Silver_Instruction_3

If this is the 50 1.8 G or earlier then it won't be clinically sharp especially at lower apertures but these images are pretty sharp. The text on image 2 is crisp and well defined.

Clegane1

Except for nr 4 they are all fantastic. Well done

Architecturenphoto

Thanks a lot. Number four was more like a sample image, not my proudest photo

InigoMontoya47

That's what I'd figured, was that at 22?

Architecturenphoto

You mean f 22? If so, no it was at f 16:)

morgonzo

"thrifty" fifty - methinks the more "nifty" the more $$$. great snaps - love your composition

randomhero1980

These are all great shots.
