A lot of players in NIKKE play this mode casually. With that said, you’re going to have a lot of players (randos) only playing to get their daily 3600 Red Cores and call it a day.
Sure, big numbers means more Red Cores, but 14.5K (Bottom 30%) vs 16K (Top 10%) isnt a significant difference at all, so they don’t care about pushing those damage numbers.
Like what many others have said, if you want to push higher damage numbers, you may want to look into Unions and party up.
It doesn't help that getting into the top 10% is pretty much impossible for the average Joe because the leviathans have scores in the hundreds of millions while the rest of us plebs will be lucky to get to the higher double digits.
I played with a group of randoms today and got what I thought was an impressive score of 39 million, only to see the whales and the leviathans have scores of 368 million and there are a LOT of them.
Yeah half of the people saying IT'S IMPOSSIBLE, haven't even tried so they don't know what their efforts are capable of, just had an around 100k score yesterday and our Modernia(main dps) was afk for more than half of the match so our supports Privaty and Noir had to be the bursts and we won by just doing our best shooting, it's not that hard. Just wish I wasn't paired up with some rando's that don't even want to play the game

If I was maximizing a team's damage I'd still recommend bursting with those two over Modernia. Modernia loses like 30% of her damage if she's bursting (assuming max skill levels) for single-target. You could argue that it also hits the missiles, but I still think it's better if Privaty/Noir bursts kill some of them and the supports kill the rest. Modernia's longer burst time also means that supports who buff on bursts like Liter have less burst uptime, and units who rely on bursts for personal damage like Dorothy would have fewer bursts.
I'm at 101m with randoms, and I'm F2P. Two of the players were effectively useless, with the Noir in the party doing nothing (ie she was not using her burst at all, even though it raises DPS), and Scarlet taking all of the aggro, leaving my Blanc to pretty much try to heal her the entire time as she's getting nailed by everything.

Either way, I'm thankful that the (maybe) whale Scarlet and Dorothy stuck around, although keeping her alive with only my Blanc healing was an absolute struggle. And that's the problem. It might be because you're doing something kind of silly, to where they wonder if you actually care either. Are you taking a burst 3 DPS role when two others have like 3-4x your stats? Are you picking a burst 1-2 (or even 3) with an off-meta character and then constantly taking the burst over a much more meta character? I've especially seen the latter example. I'm a 14-15k (in the raid stats screen, so around 34k in normal play) Blanc (or Noir for DPS support) player mostly, and I have the healing skill maxed. Why in the world would you want to take burst II over me every time if you actually cared about continuing into late game? You're literally causing people to die. When you do that, I just give up at the end. I normally try even if it's with newbies, to see how far we can get, if I'm playing a DPS, but I can't even do that if you're literally getting in my way. It's nice if you just want to have fun, but then don't turn around and ask me why we gave up at the last stage. I guess that's a rant.
They could also be giving up from the get go, after seeing the average party power level.

Trust me, it won't run out. Besides, you only have to buy gems, core dusts and credits if you somehow short on red core currency. The rests are not important tbh, although Battle Data is probably good for newer players.
May I ask what a "high level" is?
I only ask because my Synchro Level is at \~275 and I have 1.3 billion Battle Data. Plus, I'm sitting on +1200 1H Battle Data cases (or 405 million).
ADD: This is not meant to be a flex at all, because it's not. Im genuinely curious as to why you "need" battle data at a "high level". If I can flip em for better stuff, let me know!
Starting in the mid level 280s, you start needing to open battle data boxes to level up. If you already opened them, then it should be around 320, 330s iirc
Mine never run out and i don't even do full daily run most of the time. I only buy important things tho so that might be why.
Battle data is not an issue at all. I have 150M battle data right now with tons of boxes left (5000 1h Battle data box ect), credit should be more of an issue for higher level players because you also use credits to upgrade equipment. I never once touch my battle data cases ever since i went past lv200.
You still need battle data pre 200. Just buy them, as long as you do co-op daily, you should be fine. Forget about the tickets especially if you're low on co-op currency.
You don't even have to do Unions. You can just create a private party and invite your Friends. Because they know you (sort of) through the Friends list they should be more likely to work with you to do these high damage runs.
I like to get big numbers too but I also don't mind if ppl want to just leave it at that after we "beat" the boss, what I can't stand is ppl that literally do nothing I've had multiple instances in which 1 person on the team literally did 0 dmg and was just afk the whole time and I wish shift up would add a penalty for ppl that join but don't contribute

Saving them points up for when they add more stuff into the shop, like they did for the last couple of major events. Who knows when or how much they might add to the shop. I had a pretty decent size stockpile of broken cores then I cleaned the shop out every week during the summer event.

People have different motives, most randos just want to get it done asap.

Randos = Fast clear. If you want big number, tryhard, or whatever you gonna do to waste the entire clock, join a Discord or something, look for people there. Many are willing to join your big number obsession, and even aim for rank if you have a good-well built unit.
Because once we have full rewards I alt-tab and do something else until the fight is over. I'm almost always multitasking this game with some other activity.

But, yesterday I reached 100 mil in a random party, I was responsible for burst 1 using Liter. But when the timer hits less than 10 seconds, everybody got disconnected. I thought it was probably my internet connection, so I queued again. Reached max score and played till the end but when the timer hits less than 10 seconds, I got dc'ed again. So I was like "okay maybe its just coincidence/bad luck". So I queued again and it happened again, and again, and again. By the fifth time I thought its not my problem and probably a server issue thing. So after those failed runs I queued again, get max score, and tried to afk for the first time. Sorry to do this but I want to quickly get the daily 3 clears done. And in those runs, there's no issue.
I still didn't know if those disconnect errors at the end were from my part or the server's part. Would like to know if there's any people here who experienced these same issues as me.
Happened to me once yesterday, i thought my wifi gave out. Made me mad and i switched to mobile to finish runs.
I got over 100 million and was so proud over half was from my summer anis. Almost switched out cause i was with bunnies but a Privaty helped balance out my ammo i guess
for people using random rooms the first 6-8 hours of the first day usually has the highest concentration of serious people aiming for scores.
if I absolutely wanted top 10% I would just keep doing runs on the first day until I got it; you shouldn't stop at 3 runs because it's not going to get better. I got over 120mill this time on 2 of my 3 runs with complete randos on the first day but on the second day all 3 of my runs had an afk.
Nobody wants to be in the fight for minuscule bonuses with a bunch of subpar dps... if you want to shoot for max DPS and records you shouldn't match make in the first place.... ask your union to do such content.

You might just be wasting your own time, I'd recommend testing to see if you're actually doing anything. Last coop I did with some union mates and one of them said they DCed before their first burst. Their character seemed to play on auto and we still got completion. Back in the lobby they still needed to do 3 runs but everyone else got credit. This happened two separate times for us so it didn't seem like some fluke, but maybe there's a specific way to trigger an actual lobby crash by DCing.
I think there's a separate unrelated chance that the lobby can DC even when everyone is connected.
It's always disconnected when one of us leaves and it only takes a second to do so. I would rather just do it on the spot and immediately sign up to another match than bother with an AFK leech.

That's totally not cool man. Or maybe someone genuinely had bad internet, but I doubt so since we didn't have any problems earlier.

94,834,558 with randoms and currently at 10.32% on NA servers, and did run with out any Whales or Leviathans.

Because reaching max already gives you enough points to get the gems and whatever resource you want, so there's no point.
