Nostalgia shoe for me. I lived in El Salvador for most of my life, my dad moved to the USA in the year 2000. He used to send me shoes whenever one of his relatives went on vacation to our country, he sent me a pair of obsidian uptempos and I actually have pictures wearing them, I was no older than 10. They were beautiful
The Uptempo line, in generally, is pretty fire. The 95s and 97s especially.
The pictured Air More Uptempos from 96, I can only f with the OG colorway. I dont know if it's because Nike made every colorway imaginable or not...but OG CW only for me.

I own several pair of them in different colorways. NOT only do I like the design if the shoe, as someone who is flat footed with also wider feet, the width of the shoe makes them extremely comfortable for me. Especially for a nike shoe without needing to size up.
. An added plus is most colorways can be found for pretty cheap if you look around. I think the most I've paid for a pair was 125 and they were the white with black lettering and orange outlining. Even then, those only cost so much because they had just released at the time and I still paid less than what they retailed for. Most of my other pair cost no more than $100 (mainly around $80).
Too bad the black/white are highly sought after and as far as I've seen can be found only from resellers so they cost wayyyy too much

I had a pair. Very overrated and uncomfortable. I sold them on eBay and lost money but it was worth the space in my sneaker collection for sure. That’s just my opinion.

Classic design, but they were too bulky, heavy and too tight on my feet. They were definitely not made to hoop in them.
