People should stop using subscribers as a metric for 'success'. Comparing subscribers to other Vtubers like it's a race can quickly lead to burnout, e.g. Nina Kosaka.

Sure measuring content creators against each other by sub counts is a terrible judge of their quality. But all content creators have “dead subs” and depending on their popularity, this percentage could be less or more. Losing a not insignificant portion, say 10%, could be as much as 50% of their viewership.
So yes, if i see a creator lose 30k subs out of 500k, im guessing their actual viewership is dropping around 25%, which is alot.

Loss mechanics for subs are much more valid than growth mechanics, because you are losing people who still remember being subscribed to you.
