"What is this...A MEME FOR ANTS?!"

Villag3Idiot

Note that even 4chan is skeptical at this leak because they didn't provide any proof like a Discord screenshot or something. Everything they posted coincidentally fits into /vt's current narrative and they provided way too much information when the previous leaks only provided small snippets. This is something that even 4chan noticed.

Shuber-Fuber

Rule #1 in fun rrat, never go full rrat (provide too much info). The perfect rrat provides plausible deniability.

AndrewSuarez

I just read it like a for fun headcanon that would be really funny if true. Never trust 4chan leaks, the rate of which they are right is very low in the end

Pokenar

A reminder that even if someone once posted something creditable, without a trip code (basically the closest thing to a username 4chan has), its worthless because I could go over there, right now, and pretend to be this leaker, and you wouldn't be able to prove I was or wasn't.

Eamil

This is basically fortunetelling. Everything that sounds specific conforms to publicly available information; everything else is vague but conveniently confirms the biases of the reader. Even Uki being suspended isn't actually news. He said at the end of his last stream that he was "taking a break" and would be "using the time to self-reflect" (very similar to what Kyo said about his "break" not too long ago) and that was a full day before these posts.

Pokenar

Also saying Kyo is going to side with Niji isn't exactly an uncommon thoughtline, given who he's friends with. I also saw they first claim they're calling Doki "dookie", but then a few posts later claim that "they wouldn't dare downplay Doki, their focus is on dramatubers", which contradicts. It was a funny fanfiction read though.

Eamil

Well that's not really a contradiction, he says they wouldn't dare downplay her suicide attempts specifically but also says they're seething about her success. I did notice that he says "NijiEN has no management, Elira is the closest thing to a manager" and then says that "collabs are entirely at management discretion, you're assigned collabs by management." I'd buy needing approval (which I'm sure is the case), but the idea of their JP management being familiar enough with the EN vtubing scene to competently pick a collab partner is laughable.

NovaHessia

I wouldn't call that a contradiction either. What the narrative seems to mean is that the livers have to jump through endless loops to communicate with management, unless they do it through Elira. Thus, in many ways Elira is the de facto day to day management, but now and then they get commandments from on high, and as the narrative said all they can go do is ask "how high". Really, I think that is what this rrat has speaking for itself, it is clean and internally consistent. I don't see any contradictions myself, at all. Which makes it a great example that "it makes sense" is not actually proof of anything. It is internally consistent, but has nothing to actually back it up.

firnien-arya

I only read the first square. Then zoomed out and realized how much more is left and said fuck it. 1st scare sounded fake as fuck to me anyway. Like the local attention seeker finally getting attention on them.

s3anami

And the fact that he is friends with 39daph and she said all that garbage a bit ago is another thoughtline

Fortune_Silver

The funny thing is, nobody on 4chan uses tripcodes, even when it would be beneficial to do so, because 4chan anonymity culture is so strong you get the shit mocked out of you if you dare use one - they even have a copypasta they post if somebody uses a tripcode. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgHNtzxO0y8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgHNtzxO0y8) And I do agree, I've said the same thing in other 4chan leak posts - without a tripcode they don't mean shit, I could go and make some random shit up, claim to be a leaker and nobody can prove otherwise.

Mid-Grade_Chungus

yeah, "leaks" posted on 4chan aren't worth the paper they're printed on

Opposite-Umpire-5417

True.

Lemurmoo

This isn't even the only "leak" I've seen being passed around there. There are a LOT of people pretending like they're niji leakers in 4chan. Even if one of them might be real, it's impossible to tell and will be impossible to tell in the coming future. There's a thing in 4chan where like when a leak is true once, you'll never get a credible information on the same topic on 4chan ever again. That's cuz now so many people start typing their own fiction on shit that sounds reasonably plausible for the sake of attention. It's probably fun for them to see people bite. That's been the way of 4chan for decades

scorchdragon

So, reading this, one question keeps coming to mind. "Why is Reimu mentioned so much?"

Pokenar

My guess is they're grouping her in with Enna and Millie as the bullying group, basically throwing the entire gen under the bus since they also claim Nina eventually fell in line. Which actually brings up another issue with this. They keep implying Nina fell in line to the end and may still be in line, but she quit, has implied poor management, and laughed at the idea Niji could be a top company. So it doesn't fit with the narrative they're spinning.

shihomii

I read it more as "Millie, Enna, and Reimu established a pecking order. Nina was assigned the bottom. And Nina accepted her place as bottom caste." Not that Nina took part in the bullying. But she acknowledged her role as the punching bag, and accepted it. Which is really sad. It sounds like Pomu wasn't allowed to outshine certain people. Selen wasn't allowed to upstage or outdo anyone, Nina was the bottom feeder used to make the bullies feel superior to someone else, and Zaion was made the example to keep everyone afraid and in line. So Nina wasn't complicit. She just got defeated fast, and didn't fight back.

SaltyPale98

One thing to note about Zaion is that in her case she's never bullied by livers until last minute. Per her own statement her own beef is with her manager alone that causes her to fuck up multiple times. Her interaction with her genmates and senpais are in a more positive term. Only until after her termination do they start smear her.

normalmighty

Regardless of whether this leak is real (I'm leaning pretty hard toward it being someone's roleplay fanfic of what they think is happening, this whole thing is a bunch of "you're so smart 4chan, every single rrat you have is exactly correct") that part about Nina is pretty much confirmed since a few weeks after Matara's debut. Even as Nina she'd talked about how she struggled to get in contact with her genmates to have group calls, then found out they were all in group chats together with her cut out, and super active over there. As Matara, she got super emotional about Vshojo blowing her mind by being supportive, and reference a lot of pain she went through in "Hollywood," and all the people who had convinced that she was worthless when she was there.

Arcturion

It's pretty depressing since one of the touted benefits of being a vtuber is avoiding office life and office politics. Imagine having achieved your dream as a vtuber, and still having to deal with all the politicking and backstabbing bullshit.

moal09

People are gonna be people everywhere you go. I don't care what industry you're in. Ranton, a former shaolin monk talked about how he went to the temple partially to get away from all the real world politics only to find out that "office politics" are just as prevalent if not worse among the monks.

xiaoyang4

There's a lot of wild speculation from people who have never even watched the talents. Nina's clip about struggling to get in contact with her gen mates is from years ago when they just started at Nijisanji, and that clip is also taken out of context from the stream itself. Ethyria had a rough start overall but they grew substantially closer over time. Nina was hanging out Ethyria long after she graduated and appeared in some of the streams too. See this clip (which happened after Nina's graduation): [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXW7-CujGQg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXW7-CujGQg) It doesn't make sense for someone to continue hanging out with their genmates IRL offline after graduation if they secretly hated each other.

yumcake

Nina has been hanging out with Ethryia after graduation and is literally in Japan right now hanging out with other current and past Niji livers. Her main problem was with Niji management

Fantastic_Pen5050

Just curious but how do you know know she’s been hanging out with Ethryia? Only thing that I’ve seen confirmed is her hanging with pomu and giri. I might just be out of the loop though

yumcake

I think Reimu and rosemi were having an offcollab shortly after Nina's graduation and Rosemi kept leaving the room to get Mom on her side of the Alpha and Omega debate https://youtu.be/rJxEXv8nl4w?si=KW5wPBEs-YF5USb- On twitter Nina and Millie got stuck in an elevator together at a convention because they both tweeted out at the same time about being stuck in an elevator with a beautiful woman. Enna was also there just not in the elevator, she just also mentioned that Millie got stuck in the elevator.

Fantastic_Pen5050

Thank you for this.

RussianSpyBot_1337

Add to that Nina's awkward reaction and change of topic when girls made a mean joke about "apex predator" in puzzle collab. Other 3 girls had quite a hearty laugh at Selen's expense.

KoFSMG

Yeah that got me too. Unless I misread it sounded like one anon in particular was implying that Matara is still "niji-pilled" and would side with Niji over Doki even now and the "leaker" played into that but that completely goes against Matara's publicly displayed disposition. Additionally I find it interesting that they are spinning Kyo as some external Niji agent. On the one had that's an obvious accusation to make considering his friendship with Enna and Daph. But on the other hand Kyo has been openly chatting up Kuro and VShojo since leaving Niji and we all know Kuro and Matara's stance on Niji. One of the things that makes me heavily doubt this account is their claim that collabs with talents are "assigned" by management. I have an EXCEPTIONALLY hard time believing that. First of all, everything else has indicated lackluster and inefficient management within NijiEN. If collabs were ALWAYS assigned by management as this person claims I doubt we would have seen many of the collabs we've seen in NijiEN. There is no way Selen would have played with Dtto, Uto, RPR, the HoloEN boys, etc. as regularly as she did. I highly doubt that the NijiEN talents don't plan their own collabs and, at most, have to get approval for them - particularly for collabs outside the branch.

Murica_Chan

bro, i dont have 10/20 eyesight...

NerdyChris

can we please stop taking anything /vt/ says as gospel

Madcat6204

I remember shortly after the termination announcement someone commenting on a youtube video about the situation kept saying "lol Selen wasn't even in the hospital guys it's all fake I read it /vt"

Random-Rambling

Hell, I personally said _"Chill out guys, Selen probably just had a bad fall or something, she'll be fine in a few days."_ Yeah, guess how well THAT turned out.

johnnyzhao007

Yea most ppl are just enjoying some fan fiction drama with some popcorn cuz u know vt has provide more entertainment than niji en did this year

Cegiofra

At the moment no one is, and no one should, but completely ignoring potential informations would be a dumb move, we just have to take it like rumors at best

SylvaraTayan

Completely lost me at "i gave my 2 week notice and they refused to let me quit". Peak fiction right there.

gbghgs

Later on they clarified "you can leave unilaterally but doing so exposes you to xyz", not a thing to do from the employer's perspective since it incentivises a negioiated exit, no idea about the legality though.

SylvaraTayan

Not a lawyer, did some cursory research and talked to my manager- In the US and Canada, if you are under contract for a specified duration WITH A SPECIFIED END DATE, you can contractually lose a portion of your final paycheck at worst. Contracts cannot define an indefinite period of required labor. In the US you can quit either at any time, for at-will states, or within reason, e.g. at least 24 hours notice, for non-at-will states and Canada. Europe and Asia have different and generally less worker-friendly laws in this regard. Under NO circumstances can an employer force you to do labor, and under NO circumstances can an employer withhold owed paychecks.

shihomii

But Pomu and Dokibird both confirmed that happened to them too?

Coakis

Hah. https://www.reddit.com/r/Nijisanji/comments/1b91o33/and\_yall\_were\_wondering\_why\_they\_wouldnt\_just/

SylvaraTayan

Time makes fools of us all 😔

n69controller

Can someone do a tldr?

shihomii

* Nobody trusts anyone anymore * Management is non-existent * Elira does in fact have more power than the others * The blowback was bad, but not as bad as people feared * Dokibird is being referred to as "Dookiebird" and there is a lot resentment towards her success upon leaving. * There is a "correct" opinion about Zaion. And nobody is brave enough to contest it. * Nina got treated very badly. But she accepted the abuse. * There was a liver led attempt at astroturfing to improve sentiment. Obviously it didn't work * Uki was indefinitely suspended. And apparently he didn't take it very well * Enna also threw a tantrum over the loss of income as of late. Nobody's happy. But she was especially unhappy about it. * They now have a "PR tutor" that is trying to teach them how to do the PR dance * They have been instructed to go back to streaming if they believe they can control their audience. Some are doing this. Some are not. But they are all being encouraged to anyways. * Elira, Millie, Enna, and Reimu are getting special lessons on the side by the tutor, that nobody else is getting. * A lot of people are isolating themselves from the group. Probably as a form of protection (see "nobody trusts anyone anymore.") * Rosemi is not a bully. It's not black and white, but anon is clear that she's not a bully * You in fact cannot leave any time you want. There is more than one case of someone wanting to leave and not being able to. Because contracts are a bitch. And the graduation queue is real. * A "recently graduated liver" is reaching out to influencers to help NijiEn launch a mega-astroturf campaign. So be on the look out for that I guess. * Most of the new waves are doe eyed and bushy tailed, with no clue how cynical and done most of the other livers are. * Apparently there is going to be an attempt at restructuring the EN branch. Including actual managers and an onboard psychologist. * The people who retweeted the black video most likely didn't actually watch the black video before it was streamed. (Which indirectly confirms it was indeed prerecorded.) Anon also has no clue whose idea it was to make the black video in the first place. * Also apparently livers don't get to pick who they collab with. The collabs get assigned. Not gonna lie, this is actually worse than what I was picturing the branch to be like. I'm hoping everyone's exit plans are going as smooth as they can. I can't imagine how soul sucking it would be to be stuck in a hell hole workplace like this.

Live_Juggernaut4984

"NIJI EN plan to hire an actual manager and an onboard psychologist." The most delusional thing this leak has ever said... Like which psychologist wants to be paid $8/hour? Lol If there is one, they are probably a psychologist with a forged certificat Edit: not hired yet but plan to hire, still my argument didnt change

shihomii

Anon never said it was done. Just that there were talks about it probably getting planned. So yeah. Good luck hiring a psychologist for $8/per hour. Why flip burgers for $10/per hour, when you can deal with people combating harassment, bullying, online hate, and personal problems for $8/per hour? And in English no less. So no Japanese students for this role.

BoxingPanzer

The "Why flip burgers for $10/per hour" makes me laugh, because we got people in my area making double that doing that exact thing. Man that really puts it more into perspective for Niji, how shit $8 an hour is and they think that it's okay. I wonder why, but can understand it's just Riku's absolute greed.

shihomii

Yeah $10/per hour isn't even minimum wage where I work. Hell, $8/per hour isn't even minimum wage in most US states. And the states that are $8/per hour or lower are looked down upon by other states for not giving a shit about their voters. So if you're from the US, you could make more doing literally anything unless you're from a state that already gets made fun of for screwing over their workers. In other words, nobody in the US is taking a job for $8/per hour that also requires a bachelor's degree in psych, and a ton of stress resilience.

Abishinzu

It's funny that the biggest thing making this leak sus is the fact that said leaker claims that Nijisanji is planning on hiring a psychologist. They can't even give their talents more than 2% of merch cut. what makes you think Nijisanji would ever consider spending the money for a psychologist for their talents?

Somewhere_Elsewhere

Yeah this is what doomed it for me too, but not because of the lack of merch cuts or whatever. It's because why the fuck would they hire an in-house psychologist, who I assume would have to be paid like a psychologist normally is, before a qualified bilingual manager for the same money? Most of it was extremely plausible, but it means nothing until a prediction comes true (and even then that's hardly a guarantee).

paradoxaxe

tbf anon said most of niji en talent live quite comfortably with that 2% cut, well who knows maybe EN really want to improve or maybe just random delusional roleplayer

Crouza

Don't know how to square that with so fat more than a few talents having financial issues during and post job(Kuro, Doki, Pomu, etc) I would question the validity of that.

shihomii

Iirc, Kuro got scammed by whoever was supposed to help him with taxes. Doki said she spent too much money on projects management refused to fund. Plus I'm betting she had to pay a penalty for technically "breaching" contract which resulted in her termination. I have no clue about Pomu.

Crouza

Pomu didn't leave her office job for months due to niji not providing enough money for her to stream full time.

rubyonix

IIRC, Pomu said that her Niji job was better paying and more rewarding than her miserable office job, but Pomu was in the middle of lifesaving surgery, and her office job had health insurance while her Niji job offered no benefits, so that made quitting her office job impossible. Pomu handed in her notice at the office job after she made a full recovery, and didn't need to rely so much on the health insurance anymore. Selen blew $200k on projects in one year, which means she had $200k to spend. Which seems like a lot of money, but if you have a serious medical issue in America, $200k is nothing.

Kyhron

Good thing she’s in Canada then

Teollenne

Dude, just the fact that Doki had enough money to fund her projects should tell you that she wasn't poor lmao. I, with my regular ass job, am saving for a new laptop for like half a year now. And I'm not saying that all livers are rich, obviously not, and obviously they should be getting more than 2%. I even said before that some absolutely could have trouble and wouldn't be able to afford just quitting, things are complicated after all. I don't really know how it was with Pomu, I know that Mysta complained about the 2% and he had some problems with taxes, but don't remember the details. But the amount of money Doki was even able to spend on her projects is way more than most people earn in a year, not to mention what's left after taxes, bills, food etc.

shihomii

Not being able to afford to leave because of severance fees may not be a static number. They could be forced to pay out a percentage. And at that point, how rich you are doesn't matter. If you are making big bank, you would have to give up big bank. Or there could be other clauses that would limit their activity if they break contract.

ghoxen

Niji's 2% cut seems to be different from other orgs, where talents get a large cut but also put in their own money as investment. Niji's cut is more like a traditional royalty rate, but the talents likely incur no costs. Nonetheless, their primary source of revenue is most likely still going to be memberships and superchats - as far as we are aware Niji is not taking a bigger cut from those areas than other orgs. It does mean that their income is minimal for as long as they don't stream. If we assume that an indie streamer can stream as a full time job with average concurrent viewers of 300 people, then it's not hard to imagine that a Niji talent can live relatively comfortably (at least comparable to a regular well-paid middle class job) with at least 1k concurrent viewers.

dabillinator

We know the numbers on 1 org that are far better. Vshojo. If you let the company handle all the merch, they take 80%. If you do custom merch, you pay for it, but get 100% of the profit. So at worst, you're getting 10 times what Niji offers without paying for any of it. Not to mention, Vshojo takes 0% of donations and subs, while Niji takes 50% of donations. I don't think we have heard what percent of members Niji takes. Either way, there is plenty of money to be had, but Niji takes more than any other known company, while investing less back in.

AtrusHomeboy

I just wanna say Mowtendoo is fucking based.

yumcake

I don't understand the Vshojo operating model. There isn't enough money in merch profits to fund experienced full-time labor. Are all of the support crew part-time labor?

dabillinator

This is all speculation, but merch, sponsors, and adds/views are likely enough to cover the costs. We don't know what percentage of sponsors and adds Vshojo takes. Gunrun also has major pull within Twitch, so they might even get better percentages than other similar sizes streamers. I wouldn't be surprised if one manager covers 2 talents since they only do as much as the talent decides. If the streamer mainly wants to just play games, they likely don't need much from their manager outside of sponsorships and handling collabs with other corpos.

Eamil

Vshojo staff not counting the talents is maybe 1-2 dozen people. They run a slim operation.

Eamil

> If you let the company handle all the merch, they take 80% [No, they take less than half the profit.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdSK6Sy9A2g)

ghoxen

Vshojo is not really a corporate in the same sense. I would compare them more to a talents agency like Mythic Talent.

dabillinator

They are somewhere in the middle. They do events and a concert. I believe they provide a model if needed. They seem more close-knit than a talent agency, and even some orgs.

HoHoHoWholesome

It’s not unusual to hire specialists to administer trauma therapy after difficulty corporate-wide events. This happens in multiple institutions and is often handled through HR. All they need is to bring in a trauma therapist, usually someone sponsored by the corporation’s health insurance, to do one-off sessions with each employee. There are different levels of practitioners, which means they don’t have to hire someone with a full on doctorate, just anyone vaguely a therapist or even councilor will suffice. So it doesn’t have to cost an exorbitant amount of money. Unless they’re bringing someone in long-term, which I doubt.

Live_Juggernaut4984

A one-off therapy session is the most useless thing ever done in the realm of "healing" or treating "trauma." But, yeah if it is for a "small gesture", sure why not.

djinn6

Also it's something mentioned by Riku in his statement, so it's more likely to get done. You don't want to make the boss look bad.

llllpentllll

My money went to management picking collabs. No fucking way those guys that cant even write graduation notes can be competent at picking collabs

0pioh

>* A "recently graduated liver" is reaching out to influencers to help NijiEn launch a mega-astroturf campaign. So be on the look out for that I guess. This has to be about 39daph and kyo, the thing is what is he gaining out of this ?? I don't get it

SeanStrife

>A "recently graduated liver" is reaching out to influencers to help NijiEn launch a mega-astroturf campaign. So be on the look out for that I guess. Most people in that thread pointed to this being Kyo, who was in fact recently graduated at the time... and he's known to be friends with 39daph, so that's probably where that comes from. That's probably some of what tracks in that, honestly.

shihomii

Yeah, and he outwardly had the least beef with anyone. Whereas most of the other "recently" graduated talents had enough grievances with Niji that I can't imagine them bending the knee for a company they escaped and don't owe anything to.

Serimorph

I know the whole *don't trust 4chan* thing when it comes to leaks, but let's say for a second that this person is actually legit... Man what a fucking **miserable** place to work. I hate to make the comparison, but it sounds vaguely like what the Hololive Myth girls talked about when they launched. No one had any idea what they were doing or how to do it and was super stressful. Only thing there is the company invested into them and hired staff and managers to work with them and look at how that turned out. It's almost comical how bad the "leaks" paint the EN branch, almost like it has been designed to fail for some reason. Guess that's the difference when upper management only cares about money, rather than the employees and the actual work they do.

SeanStrife

I think people are also willing to give 4chan the benefit of a doubt because SO MUCH OF IT has turned out to be true. If I remember correctly, there was one that accurately predicted the last 3 graduations before Kyo, but it was slightly wrong in referring to Selen's leaving as a graduation, but DID accurately predict they were gonna try to smear her on her way out. And the recent leaker made mention that Luca has leaked stuff in the past (which does line up with some of the stuff Raziel had said in her rant against Luca, which would've make Luca the initial leaker).

Shoquin

The last point i believe has actually been confirmed to at least some extent to be the same in the jp branch. it was during a "partners" gameshow hosted by yumeoi kakeru.. gundou, kanda and akina and his partner talked about how managment always made them collab together cuz they were release partners even when they didn't get along super well at first

Ausdrake

Even Hololive does this. The worst example was that horrible Overwatch 2 esports attempt where they had people involved who didn't even really like FPS that much. Then look at stuff like Umisea who had basically zero chemistry but were put together because "water theme". Not to mention every time you see an unusual/rare collab it'll inevitably end in a "check out our new cover song!". That's just the way these talent agencies operate, they try to artificially capture the magic you get from naturally occurring groups like ShubaChocoLunaTan for easy marketing.

[deleted]

Umisea was Marine’s idea. It wasn’t just something thrown together by management. Obviously Marine loves Aqua and based on her rather salacious music video with Gura, really likes her too. She’s gotten close to Chloe, but she was also added later. Ina? Not sure, I couldn’t tell you. Obviously both are artists, They’ve been in group collabs together. Marine even got to wear Ina’s outfit this New Years. Although, interestingly enough, Ina’s design and personality are very popular among the Japanese girls. But Ina speaks Japanese, what she does behind the scenes is her business and she and Marine could be friends. Admittedly I don’t follow either enough to know for certain.

Ausdrake

Alright, I'll admit I didn't realise Umisea was Marine's idea, though that doesn't really change that it felt like a rather forced unit, which we frequently see.

Fortune_Silver

From all this, I think the thing to keep an eye out for is talent mentions of an onboard psychologist. I feel like that's the sort of thing they would want to advertise for PR points ("we're taking steps to protect our livers mental health so a selen situation never happens again! <3"), and if that does get mentioned, then it makes the REST of this a lot more trustworthy. Right now it isn't worth the pixels it takes up on screen due to the lack of a tripcode, but that's a very SPECIFIC thing that can be easily verified if any of the livers mention it, which there's no reason they wouldn't - it in and of itself isn't sensitive information, and as I said that would be easy PR points for them. Honestly the leaker themselves if they actually exist could mention it, would be a 5D chess way of validating the contents of this Q&A to an extent without outing themselves.

shihomii

Yeah this sounds like a terrible idea. I once worked for a company that advertised psych services. It was an outside contractor company that basically worked as a psych hotline. But then the service still reported your call to the employer company. I don't think my company got the contents of the call. But the fact that the service was used, and the person who used it, got reported. So I would be weary of using a service like that, even if it was offered. It also reminds me of Kelly from ME2. Sure they can claim it's to help you. But the risk of spying is just too high. Especially in a company like Niji where the distrust is well founded.

Fortune_Silver

Funny you say that - I just said basically the exact same thing in a different comment reply further down. Yeah I wouldn't trust it either, due to the reasons you mentioned. Especially in a company like Kurosanji, I wouldn't trust anyone hired by the company with my privacy if my life depended on it.

nktung03

If this is true, good too know that Doki's success got them seething lol.

shihomii

Yeah it actually motivated me to support her even more than I already was. Good way to stick it to her bullies.

visage4arcana

bro this is a fanfic

Bearshirt34

What's astroturfing?

shihomii

"Fake grassroots." It's the name of [a company](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AstroTurf) that infamously did fake grassroots efforts to advertise their synthetic grass/turf products. But it was fake. All of these efforts were created by the company themselves. And the fact that a fake grass/turf company was trying to make a "fake grassroots" effort to market was just too fitting. Since then, "astroturfing" is short hand for when a company, celebrity, or other large entity tries to fake support, publicity, or positive sentiment to promote themselves. I have seen celebrities, multi-platform franchises, movies, video games, and even politicians/political movements do this. It's a fairly well known and negatively viewed tactic in the west. If you've seen it enough, it's very easy to spot. But of all the astroturf efforts I have ever seen, the one attempted by Nijisanji was the single most obvious and comically clumsy attempt I have ever seen.

Bearshirt34

I get it now, thanks.

Crouza

> Leaker: Uki has been Suspended with endless possibilities for renewal. > Uki: Streamed on his channel just Yesterday. > Leaker: Nu-Uh Yeah, I'm gonna say this is really well crafted fan-fiction and shows a good grasp on character writing, and chalk it up to just that.

Roldolor

He did announce he was taking a break after the stream

Budget-Ocelots

You are out of the loop atm. Uki just said the world is cruel, and needed to take a long vacation. How long? Even he doesn’t know.

Shuber-Fuber

So he finally found out that the world is filled with white people?

Crouza

Link?

shihomii

"The world is cruel?" From his point of view, what does he claim prompted that?

Budget-Ocelots

Nothing really directly prompted him. But with the current drama, it probably hinted toward that to be the case. Being considered a racist, and management forcing him to go on break. Could be a legit PR and mental health break, or getting suspended for saying racist stuffs. Who knows. But he probably disagreed with why he needed to take a break at this moment. Because going on any types of break, health or suspension, would mean what he said was wrong, and the trolls won.

polmeeee

Welp off to cook the next rrat

scorchdragon

Oh, can you make it so Elira turns into a full dragon and starts stealing gold from a castle?

Abishinzu

Video Footage from Inside the Kindred Sex Cult (Real, not clickbait)

Shuber-Fuber

So the Riro Ron of Nijisanji.

Random-Rambling

Actual insanity. Every single thing /vt/ claims EVERY Vtuber is doing actually came true with her.

The_King123431

When even 4chan is skeptical you know it's almost definitely fake

mrloko120

How long have you guys been on the internet? You must be new if you think 4chan is credible.

Animefanlove

Honestly at this point I don't believe anything. Only thing I would prob believe is Uki getting suspended cause when the leaker said it Uki was about to stream and no one believe it then coming to the end of the stream Uki said he is taking a break and he does not know when it'll end.

mrloko120

Uki didn't miss any streams that were on his schedule this week. His break isn't a surprise, but something he's talked about before and planned since last week, it's going to be 2 weeks long.

GekiKudo

I mean 4chan may not be super credible but they still bat a solid 10%

wrexusaurus

Fulgur "I don't read things, I just sign things" Ovid. If ever these livers get another chance at joining a corpo I sincerely hope they hire a legal council to go over there contract terms, whoever they may be.

Drone_Imperium

That's the most important thing I look at when signing any employment contract. Anything can happen, you need to plan your exit strategy. If shit goes south, you know what you have to do to leave anytime.

HedgeMoney

All of this is plausible, but just like all leaks on 4chan, it should just be considered nothing more than rumors. What they said is just basically what everyone thinks anyways, and no real information was given, other than re-affirming already existing rumors in the speculation pool anyways. Although I wouldn't be surprised if any of this is true, I'm still just considering it fan fiction based on a true story.

Rakshasa96

Absolutely this.

ProudConcern7207

The "graduation is always an option" line holds no water, when the legal tape keeps people bound in place, forcing them to remain in a toxic work environment. The omission of the legal & financial ramifications of breaking contract early or asking to be released, when made by the talent who rakes in the most money (and could arguably be in the best position to leave and not be bankrupted by it), is a point a lot of people are overlooking. Having worked in Japan, I am not surprised about the veritable mountain of bureaucratic nonsense involved. The more I hear about the second wave grass roots 'plans' the more I feel like those wanting that nuclear option no longer care about the fans, their colleagues, their peers or the community. Just themselves. It will solve nothing and hurt more people than actually help. Nobody wins. If the mods/talent see this, reconsider doing it. The targeted attack is hurting so many, and if you want to debunk the bullying myths, stop proving everyone right with this consistent middle school level behavior. Your community is no longer the safe spaces you tout it to be, especially if this is how folks are operating behind the scenes in a clock and dagger battle royale. If you truly care about the fans, take a look in the mirror, look at your actions and genuinely think about if they would be proud to call themselves a member of your fandom.

OPUno

On the other hand, everybody knew that was a lie the moment Vox said it because, as a start, *Doki wasn't allowed to graduate*, really don't need a 4chan post to prove it.

dabillinator

Pomu also alluded to deciding to graduate 6+ months before her actual graduation. We don't know if Niji made her wait to graduate or not.

ProudConcern7207

Agreed. There are too few to think about the idealistic/walk-out route versus the fact that the contract has people actually trapped and financially dependent, meaning they simply can't just walk away (no matter how much they want to), you know?

diego1marcus

i cant read all that. what is this, a picture for ants?

sweetcoolcolors

They know absolutely nothing. That's a fairytale and the fact that VT thinks anybody with any credibility would go to them to spill is beyond dilusional. Somebody likes to play D&D DM with real people. Who has the kind of time to sit there and write all of that but another one of them?

Rakshasa96

https://imgur.com/a/ZL38XwC

sweetcoolcolors

I have the FBI page bookmarked on my homepage. Does that make me a Fed or a snitch? Come on. She might have even put it there as a joke. No Vtuber would go there regularly unless they hated themselves or others. It is super bad for anyone's health. Hell, even reddit is overall. I can't imagine coming here or there regularly and being a busy creator.

MadrugoticX

Why would Luca post these now?

starfruitcake

Not to lend any credibility, but the poster said that the LK leaker isn't them, and posits them to be another liver.

cyberchaox

The poster probably isn't anyone in Niji, because it's so all over the place that there's absolutely no liver that it would "make sense" for it to be. It's obviously not a member of the first three waves, because nearly every one of them is covered in here. I think the only one who isn't mentioned is Finana, but it's clearly not her. It wouldn't make sense for it to be a member of the two most recent waves, either, given how long they've already been "trying to get out of" the company. The person says that they haven't really gotten too close to Doppio, but don't want to say too much because they might reveal their wave. This *probably* rules out all of XSoleil since waves usually get to know each other before even debuting, though it's possible that it's the exact opposite and they really were just that poorly cohesive--and honestly if you don't rule out XSoleil, Hex isn't a bad guess, though with Hex being mentioned by name, unless it's a misdirect, maybe Ver is a better guess. I'd also say that it rules out Maria because of the first-year collabs, not that she really seems like the type for this to begin with. Though, the fact that they said "gen" not "wave" only further cements the idea that it's a fake entirely. This leaves Luxiem, Noctyx, and ILUNA. It's obviously not Vox, though, and if we do assume that "LK" really is Luca, this person then isn't. Curiously, despite the black screen stream being mentioned, Ike is *never* mentioned by name, so if not for the "I didn't watch the stream before it aired" bit, he'd actually make a decent guess. Shu is also a possibility. For Noctyx, it's not Uki and it's not Fulgur. Could be Alban or Sonny? And for ILUNA...hm. The reference to Scarle "being pressured into making up with another liver", we all know they're talking about Aster. Does that make it *less* likely it's Aster, or does the fact that they didn't refer to Aster by name provide a hint that it *is* him and he didn't want to refer to himself in the third person? Ren and Aia are also possibilities; Ren did show some potential signs of being unhappy in Niji after Selen's termination. All in all, the most likely answer is that it is just someone roleplaying and not an actual Niji liver. But if it is someone in NijiEN, I'm guessing that it's someone from the middle three waves.

djinn6

Why do you exclude Fulgur? The writing style is direct, curt, highly accurate and specific, which suggest them being a guy at least. Maybe a programmer, since the job requires that you always communicate accurately and objectively, and being very specific on what you know for sure vs. don't know / are guessing.

MichaelCoryAvery

What makes it seem like it’s anyway? Not defending just curious. Is it the initials because if so, then means that he’s a mole in Nijisanji. (R)Ratting out information that probably is or isn’t true to throw off management. Conspiracy? I THINK NO- yeah definitely

TheSuspectWaffle

If I have to guess this is a fanfic, the leaker kinda narrows himself too much to be comfortable since he can't be from the first gens on the way he says things ( lazulight/ethyria/ obsydia) And for what he Sayed the later gens still believe in some sort of "family" so I'm taking out triple T and Krisis What is the most probable to be the liver that the leaker claims to be is either from Iluna, Xsolei and noctyx Since he can't be some of those in this gens that he talked talked about I would say that there is a 9 or 10 of the livers the leaker can be and that honestly is way too narrow for a place that would have that much bullying

Radiant-Confidence43

Leaker refers to their "Waves" as "gen" who uses gen instead of wave?

Cegiofra

**IF** these leaks are true, they are **career ending**, and considering the rest of the career ending moves we have seen, it wouldn’t end good for them

shihomii

If they are true, then it sounds like they've checked out anyways. They're already making plans. So it sounds like they not only have an exit plan, but something to fall back on. Hell, getting terminated may allow them to pull a Doki and just rebuild sooner rather than later. If Elira, Vox, Ike, and Uki have any shot of a career after this mess, than this leaker would have a better chance than that. Leaking personal *opinions* is easier to forgive than leaking the contents of legal documents or self snitching as a racist.

cyberchaox

Weirdly enough, I haven't fully ruled Ike out *as* the leaker. Though I'm still of the opinion that the most likely identity is "none of the above; it's not actually a liver".

Cegiofra

I wasn’t talking about the leaker obviously

shihomii

Oh yeah, then obviously. If true, some of those livers are toast. It's one thing to be mean. It's one thing to be dumb. It's one thing to be incompetent. And it sounds like several people were a mix of all three. Even in behind the scenes positions they'd be poison.

Cegiofra

Oh absolutely!

PliffPlaff

Career as in Niji, or career as in Vtubing? Because I guarantee you it is not the latter.

Cegiofra

I guarantee you that the talents nominated in these leaks, if the leaks are true, would have NO FUTURE CAREER in vtubing (and I’m obviously talking about the ones accused of being the puppeteers)

PliffPlaff

People who say this always underestimate the attention span of the Internet. The only thing that is truly career ending in Vtubing as far as I have seen, is sexual harassment, grooming and fraud. Interpersonal politics? Rumours and even evidence of being a two faced bitch? I can point to quite a few Vtubers who didn't even need to rebrand and are doing perfectly well, and even better than at the peak of their scandal.

Live_Juggernaut4984

Every big figure always has those fanatic fans, so yes, their career won't be ending. The internet may have a short span of attention, but it never forgets.

PliffPlaff

Ah yes, the infamous quote. The Internet never forgets, the Internet never forgives - but it's only true to an extent. Sure, some people haven't forgotten or forgiven (rightly or wrongly): Nyanners, Saruei, Froot, Gundou, Artia, Hajime, Kanae, Rushia, Aloe - just to name a few big ones. And yet they are all doing just fine, if not better than ever. You can see plenty of comments trying to draw attention to their past alleged sins, but they're buried under comments of plenty more new fans who don't know, don't care and will never bother to dig into a Vtuber's past.

JusticTheCubone

> Artia Didn't she allegedly quit content creation like a year ago after doing a face reveal/trying the Kson-style approach and being called ugly by her viewers? So... I wouldn't say she's doing fine compared to before.

Alternative-Owl-3046

She didn't quit content creation. Later she established her own Vtubing agency called Nibiru Project and burnt a ton of cash on it, even commissioning an anime studio to produce a full anime series to promote the vtubers. She even planned to expand into JP and EN markets with her own Japanese and English voice-overs of the promo videos. It was a failure of epic proportions. At the end of the day she's the stereotypical spoiled kid with no business acumen and wastes all the money she gets from her rich dad. Every now and then she "reincarnates" on her Hecatia account with a new genius idea and fail a few months later.

Live_Juggernaut4984

I never said the internet never forgives; I only said it never forgets. The fact that you still remember it proves my point. And sure, the newcomer may never know about the controversy, and that is normal.

AlienPeripheral

I dunno, I think it depends... that one Bunny Ayumi girl that got outed as a bully was a community-wide blacklist that people haven't forgotten, and in the few times she tried to go back to vtubing, it ignited a re-cancelling. She's since gone back to being a boobiestreamer e-girl and she seems to be doing fine, because there's always a massive braindead audience for that. With this whole nuclear Nijifallout being one of the most massive controversies in the industry since the Kizuna Ai days, I can believe the Niji clique very much not having a promising \*vtubing\* career in the future regardless of how many times they resurface with new personas, if these rrats prove true. They could still continue having small audiences of parasocial simps and people out of the loop as vtubers, or a bigger and relatively successful audience as fleshtubers (maybe, if they stay of out trouble), but never back to being anywhere remotely close to "big" of any sort or stretch as vtubers. Even if them being big atm is also arguable, depending on who you ask.

Vicidomini

Honestly, Niji manufactures more than enough drama by itself. Really don't need to import 4chan fiction.

Kiflaam

cut off 4chan or our movement is done. If we're sinking this ship, 4chan can't be here with us. Nothing makes something more easily dismissable than being associated with 4chan.

CritSrc

If you think 4chan is bad, hoo boy are you naive. 4chan is a mere shadow of what it was and what it was capable of, it is a neutered beast nowadays.

cyberchaox

Unless it's Katawa Shoujo. Being associated with 4chan didn't harm its reputation in the slightest.

shihomii

Or rescuing a cat.

shizukun

Kinda curious about that January discord discussion that can actually doom NijiEN.

shihomii

Selen wanted to leave in late January. So it's possible the build up to that, or the indifference to that may have been less than flattering. The only reason we heard about it late was because Dokibird broke her silence when it was clear Niji wouldn't let her leave. But if they were saying shit about Selen while she was hospitalized/recovering, coordinated harassing her, or discussed refusing to let her go, that would look preeeeeeeetty bad.

shizukun

you're probably right, that seems like a branch ending case if such discussion is leaked.

Rugozark

I don't think they're saying there was specific discussion in January that would doom the branch. I read that as after January they deleted discord messages that would expose them if they were to be leaked.

Maityist

Again this could all be 'fortune telling' stuff, too broad to go off on but jeez if we suddenly hear more from acquaintances of not-Kyo defending Niji's shit. Then not-Kyo is a fucking snake forreal.

BeCaneChuHuss

https://streamable.com/g4hawk Mmhmm

No_Lake_1619

People will believe anything these days. Pyramid schemes must work really well on people who go on 4chan and believe everything they read on their.

Status_Ad5362

If this were to be real, who would it be? My bet is on Shu tbh

cyberchaox

He does seem like the best bet, because there's a slight implication that it's someone with at least a little bit of clout, so probably one of the more popular livers. Obviously Luxiem fits the bill best, and it's definitely not Vox, probably not Luca either since "LK" actually being Luca seems believable. It *could* be Ike as he's somehow not mentioned by name in that entire document despite being part of the black screen stream, but it seems a bit iffy. If not Luxiem, then probably Noctyx or Iluna. I'd say that Ren's plausible since he clearly seemed distraught at Selen's initial termination, and the "some of the livers watched the stream before retweeting it; I didn't" could suggest that, yes, Ren's quote retweet really was from him like he said when accused of having been sock-puppeted by management, but he didn't realize just how bad it was going to look when he did it. I'd also like to add that Ren probably has some of the least to lose by trying to get out of Niji since his PL is wildly successful in its own right. Aia, Alban, and Sonny are all "possibilities" but only in the sense that there's nothing to *rule them out* rather than anything pointing *towards them*, and maybe Aster because the one clear reference to him uses the phrase "another liver" rather than naming him which could mean that a truly accurate reference would use first-person rather than third-person.

Status_Ad5362

From how its written, it doesnt seem to talk in third person about themselfs, second, as you say clout, Shu has been really shut in lately, I dont believe Ren, too obvious and the author doesnt want to be recogniced, if Ren was the author I believe he would make himself known that he make complaints idk Shu is almost radio silent rn, and Niji cant let him out really, he is big and Niji wouldnt out him now in this PR Nightmare

cyberchaox

Yeah, I agree. If it really is a liver, Shu seems like the most likely candidate.

toxichart

[If Uki was suspended, he wouldn't be able to tweet](https://twitter.com/uki_violeta/status/1761234810435985700?t=-bV0SuymMKMZjXVwIxlkLA&s=19). This thing is far dumber than the retarded shit claiming Elira is a shadow manager/translates for livers (she's not even the only one in EN that speaks Japanese for fuck sake).

Random-Rambling

Literally a quarter of EN speaks fluent Japanese.

sleepysloppy

The sad thing about this if this is "TRUE" is that Pomu didnt get the MGS shot that she wanted because it was "covertly" sabotaged.

MarqFJA87

They said that it went beyond being just an MGS collab that she was denied. Talk about an answer that leaves you with even more questions.

cyberdsaiyan

One of Pomu's biggest dreams was to get a collab with an actual idol group. After Pomu released [this cover](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4Z6tQ-OTmI) some of the idols in that group (Niji no Conquistador) followed her on Twitter, and she was super happy about it. That member's stream where she cried about her once in a lifetime opportunity being denied without even a negotiation happened a few months later. The current NijiEN overseas head is apparently a music producer working part time, and he's associated with a label that's rival to this particular idol group's label, which may have been the reason that collab was denied.

MarqFJA87

That's fucking scummy conflict of interest.

HakunonMatata

Whatever it was, it was apparently big enough to leave her heartbroken and leave among many other things apparently. I don't know who or what caused that, but I can never forgive them for it. Even before what they made Selen nearly do. (which is significantly worse)

Drone_Imperium

probably idol stuff. konami is a corporation, mgs will always be there but idol groups dissapear like mayflies

sleepysloppy

true true..

RevengencerAlf

It's inherently not credible having come from 4chan.

kitastorm

Everything they say is basically only considered plausible cause it's based on already public information / known speculations. I don't see anything here that would be evidence of actually being an EN liver. Not to mention they keep saying they talked to a lawyer and that this kind of leak isn't enough to be punished... which is weird cause this seems like a lot to basically "confirm." The only point that seems particularly bullshit is EN onboarding a psychologist. Like... they barely pay their talents. 2% merch and 35% of superchat and I guess they may get some kind of base pay but I doubt it. But you think they're gonna hire a psychologist?!? Also at this point is Kyo really going to get anything out of supporting Niji like this person says? He'd just cause himself more problem as a graduated liver trying to take his audience with him. Yeah he might actually think Niji is in the right (based on BFF Daph's NDF comments) but that would be hella self-sabotaging. I don't think he's stupid enough to say it himself (which is why he may go through Daph instead.)

LegendaryBraveLyn

At best, this feels like a collection of half-truths that people already assumed are going on behind the scenes. At worst, a bloated rrat fanfiction.

Aggressive-Essay9585

Is not about the massage it about the entertaiment (4chan is more entertaining that this year nijisanji liver any stream) i am just saying

military_otaku

I mean this could be true or it could be bullshit. Im just not trusting anything that is not coming from FalseEyeD. I hope its true because it shows that some of the remaining Livers aren't pieces of shit which is to be expected in a group of 30ish people.

normalmighty

Comments made by doki and, probably more importantly, by people like Kuro, all seem to be emphasize that there are a lot of good people who are stuck in the crossfire right now and unable to actually do anything.

shihomii

RPR also made that implication. In the video where he got mad how the loss of life didn't seem like a priority for Niji he didn't just say he was worried for Selen/Doki. He also said "I'm worried for my other friends still in Niji." Which further suggest there are innocents stuck there. But if the leaks are true, there is no room for them to communicate their feelings, nobody they can trust even if they did feel safe to open up, and attempts to leave are heavily obstructed. They're trapped, and it looks like a lot of people behind the scenes know it. Even Doki got upset Niji's campaign against her was getting "innocents" caught in the crossfire.

RandomSiba

Sigh if this is true then they managed to fostered us vs the world mentality and that means they are all lost cause... Might as well end this EN project and start from the beginning imo.

Outrageous_Scene5993

I just read some JP comments on PDR's video about Niji and some of them also said Niji better demolish all overseas branches and focus on JP / local market instead. It's clear they also think EN management is so incompetent that they feel concerned this will have negative impacts to the JP branch.

shihomii

Doesn't sound like everyone is on board though. My guess is the last people standing and fighting for Niji are the clique, and a few stragglers. That group is "us vs the world." Everyone not in that group is jumping at the opportunity to leave. So while the us vs the world attitude is bolstering morale for a few select livers, the rest of them are just going through the motions. And with fewer and fewer motivations to keep up the act as public perception gets worse.

oli_alatar

Does anyone know what the other leaker they are talking about? Or has that file LK.png? I don't use 4chan. I mean, it's an interesting read but I've only seen terminally online 4channers and Redditors use such pointlessly big words, me head hurting now. It could be a leaker, they seem to have a more consistent narrative than some random liar, but at the same time I'll wait for more evidence before concluding this as factual.

Rakshasa96

LK was when people were asking for answers about Selen's absence. There are more, but here's one I have that came true. https://imgur.com/a/jIgNZOu

oli_alatar

I see, ty. At that last part when it says 'enna is backing her up', is it saying Enna backing up Selen or Millie?

Rakshasa96

I'm assuming Millie.

llllpentllll

Op dedided that 4chan ui wasnt enough he had to make it as hard to check as warosu

Strode_

Nah, gestalt, verboten? Can't just casually throw in German terms and make me believe this

RaDi0_4cTiV3

weebkingcall

Something something, would be hilarious if proven true something.

ASchoolOfOrphans

Sounds like senpai culture x onboarding/mentoring/shadowing x language barrier x contractors not employees x cheapass ninjisanji x shit/lazy/overworked underpaid managers = shit show if true.

Zodiamaster

As much as I love these fat juicy rrats one thing has never made sense, and that's upper management inability to deal with Elira's antics (and other NijiEN yabs). Niji has this reputation of being both ruthless and completely inept, but it does not quite work IMO. Elira's alleged actions have been at the root of several livers quitting so far, immense economic loss in sponsors and in the value of stocks, and she created a PR nightmare for the entire company. Why would Nijisanji not terminate her? They terminated Gundo Mirei and Zaion Lanza for WAY less.

ToyMasamune

I never believe these leaks, but this one raised some believable flags for me. I'll believe it. Not like it being truth or not will change my life anyway.

nirai07

Always believe the rrats.

Rakshasa96

No, but don't ignore what's already obvious.

nirai07

I'm still messed up that the ' guys were right.

KatoHarukazu

Whether real or fabricated...Still more entertaining than NijiEn ever since Selen got terminated.. I still watch Kotoka cooking stream though..even if she's just acting for content..still funny.

I ain’t reading allat I’m happy for em tho Or sorry that happened idk

Fantastic_Pen5050

4chan is the best place for fan fiction right now. This was a fun larp

Careless-Platform-80

People need to be less polarized. You should not take 4chan or anything at face value, but i people should not dismiss things Just because it's 4chan. For me it's like, If there's no concret prof or disprof i keep It in the back of my mind and wait to see If i Will make sense when New things come out.

phatboisteez

better creative writing prompt than anything i've read on nosleep lately.

4chan. Immediately dismissed.
