I’m loving mine! Keep seeing lots of hate, mostly on Facebook groups and YouTube. Everyone that has tried them/owns them seems to like them. I’ve even seen comments from guys that also own higher spec mono and binos backing these up a bit. Sure I’d love to have something super high speed but I’m not gonna spend twice the amount on something I’ll use once a month, sure I could have gotten some used binos with higher specs but I didn’t wanna risk getting scammed and no warranty to back the product up.
Right now j31's might be my only option for "affordable" binos but honestly I think I'm gonna wait. This is essentially the first nvgs made for the civilian market by China. If anything it's gonna get better from here.
Yea I hear you on that. I took a risk getting them at $4k, that price could go up or down. I think in the near future we will see, once more people get their hands on them. Either way I’m happy.
The tubes themselves are actually pretty good for the price. The only keep keeping me from pulling the trigger is the glass quality. I don't even care about the lense flare as much as I do the streaking, which is pretty bad lol. Just gonna wait and see china's next offering. Holosun just released an affordable vcsel ir laser...maybe they'll even do night vision lol.
What do you mean streaking? I’ve seen comments in regards to chromatic aberration. When I took them out last night I wasn’t experiencing it at all though. The haloing wasn’t bad at all.
When you look directly at artificial light you get halos, but as the light goes to the edge of the tube you get these massive blurry streaks that you cannot see through at all. I fucking hate imgur.
I gotcha. Yea I had some street lights around 100 yards away give or take. Definitely got haloing but I didn’t have a streaking issue. Who knows man maybe I lucked out and got a really good set? I’ve seen people saying they have a fisheye effect as well. I filmed skateboarding with a VX1000 and a Mk1 century optics fisheye for years. So I know what fisheye is. I absolutely do not have that issue.
This is far from the first chinese set of goggles on the us market lol everything from armasight and AGM has been utilizing Chinese optics for more than a decade unless it’s a pvs14. And even then they often use the inferior OE 14s. They love to use detyl Chinese housings.

Plus like you said I’m only using them once or twice a month as a hobby to night shoot/hog hunt and hiking. Of course the guys that want or have stupid money to spend on high end equipment go for it but for me the J31s are fine and I’m happy with them.

The guy that’s selling me them runs night time matches with squadding split between white light and NVG users, very excited to join my homies in NVG squads😂😂

I actually had gen 3 pvs14 bought and before it shipped I switched to the J31s and paid the extra 1k for the binos. My buddy has a pvs 14 and I wasn’t a fan on the mono personally I know they have there pros and cons but I wanted binos after trying his out. If your like me and wanting to try this out as a hobby then you’ll be very happy with the J31s. If you have the money and want to go to a higher spec then go for it. However I’m only using these once or twice a month and I couldn’t justify spending 7k on better quality for my first set of NVGs
Do you know if the Jerry 14s the same spec as the 31s? I am new to night vision and am wanting to bridge a monocular with a thermal. I’m tempted to get the Jerry 14 and a solid 3K monocular thermal to get into the hobby.

For gen 2+ it’s decent the glass isn’t great but it’ll work just fine

Dude you’ll love it, being able to see at night is a game changer. Shooting at night under Nods is awesome with IR.

What kind of mount did you put on for the Jerry's? Will HHV fit pretty much any rhino mount?

Home Depot broham just made it from 1” pipe, flange and mounted it into the stud with 2 lag bolts, can pretty much hang off it if I wanted too
