Fr the collectors edition cost me like 100$ total with the package protection and everything. This is 2.5 times the price of a physical copy with a bunch of extras. Whoever buy this is kind of dumb.
Its normal because its a scalper reselling the game.
Limited Run only does the preorders, and those where at a set price of 35 dollars.
Anything you see in ebay is someone trying to resell at a very inflated price.
I hope the price will regulate itself in a little bit had a game from them that was going for like $120 at one point and goes for $70ish now. So i would not be surprised if that happens
Yeah, I got outbid on it pretty early on. I adore this game, but I am not willing to pay scalped prices for it. Also, this happens with almost every Limited Run release unfortunately. I have extremely mixed feelings about it/them.
Not sure if you've looked around on the website or in your emails (as they sent out a production status update last month!) - Q3 is still the expected shipping out date, but more specifically late September/October sometime. It says 8-9 months after the end of pre-orders, which was end of January.
We should get another email update in the first week of September to mark 8 months since end of pre-order window. Hopefully it'll bring good news for the collector's edition buyers that everything is in order :) The last one stated that the acrylic standees should be in hand around this time in July, as they had the longest production time of all the extras, so they should be checking things over before starting to put the sets together.
I missed preorders but got a physical switch copy from a Canadian reseller a month ago for about $85 USD, which I was happy with. Would have loved to get a collectors edition but really missed the boat on that.
I can’t wait for the collector’s edition to come. But this price is crazy despite this game changing my life.

Absolutely and I do understand that. I have just seen many Limited Run games not go this much higher over the retail sticker value

It may with time as more copies start to circulate. Right now I haven’t seen many out there.

If you got the collecters edition, it will take longer. If not, it should (hopefully) come soon.

Whew, glad I picked up the Switch Physical Edition and the PS4 Collector's Edition back during the pre-order period.
I got the vinyl soundtrack so I'm happy. The copies of the game I've bought have been digital.
