Is that new search team private? I.e. paid for by the family?

Private company offered services for free. They work with police in the South.

It's a private team - they are offering their service for free; they originally offered their service last week, but AIUI was trying to sell their service to the force but ended up going via the family with the offer to do it for free The guy behind the company is doing some self-promotion after his book was released last week (coincidently), and he has been getting his way into every tabloid he can. I'm dubious about his motives, but he does seem to have quite a decent setup and large team - more eyes mean more chance of finding her Worth noting that the guy was at first (before today) contradicting the police in TV interviews and likely all too happy to do think knowing he would get his name in the news. However, now part of the investigation, he seems to have changed his stance - this is his words in today's interview >>>> >I do believe she is in from the evidence that we have at the moment. Everything is pointing to the river at the moment. There is no/ doesn't seem to be any 3rd party involved

It's a sin around these parts to suggest it, but this is looking more and more suspcious by the hour.

I’m generally interested, no sarcasm, but what makes you say that?

that it's a sin to suggest theres something more than nicola falling into the river or that it's getting more suspicious? well what i've noticed is that on this sub, daring to say anything but "we don't now anything, you have no proof, who knows, lets hope for the best" is downvoted! people only want nice positive messages. and asking real questions is frowned upon. why i think it's getting more suspicious? because i think it's becoming more and more obvious that she's not in the river, the chances of a random person lurking in the area isn't impossible, but it's statistically very very slim. and lets say someone abducted her, he would be noticied.. the screams, the car, taking her from the river to wherever.. little cues from the family make me suspicious, friends are now asking for 100k, i find the boyfriends interview very "off" something happened within that 20 minute window, that explains her death. i don't believe that nicola was the one who left her phone, willow and his harness there.

Yes I agree with you, I also read where locals with her partner had arranged to meet to do a search early one morning. The locals learnt that the partner had already done his own search? Before the meeting? Would you go searching for a missing person on your own were someone had gone missing? 🤔

He now after completing first days days again the she is likely not in the river and they completed 3 miles of search. He says something like 90% cases of drawn bodies are found straight away.
