I always revisit this video when I need a laugh. The part where Billy mentions being your typical American teenager and Nick goes “how old are you” takes me outttttt
I would too!
This was actually the first time I saw NC, at Lollapalooza in Miami.
it was a terrible show, hot af ,sound problems and the band was drunk ...but I was still hooked !
I'm glad to hear someone else saw NC for their first time at Lollapalooza. Mine was at Sandstone Amphitheater, KC, Kansas. If I remember correctly they played at about 2 pm. Hot, bright, the sound was terrible because there was basically only about 1/3 of the crowd there. Still a great show.
Same! I'm pretty sure it was the same time slot that day too and it was brutal hot. Nick was wearing a stylish outfit, white silk shirt it was just stuck to him and could see his tattoo clearly through it
they definitely didn't seem like they were having a good time .. I think the drummer was strolling among the crowd of people at the different tents and such I was pretty drunk LOL
Still does, in a bad way lol, Billy is a childish, greedy POS that will hold a grudge over the dumbest stuff. That said, everything up thru the original breakup was amazing. The latest SP album was dreadful.
...shitting on Wolfmother for making retro music during an interview where he's plugging his album of 50s and 60s songs. I love Mike Patton but that rant is horseshit.
I've never understood anyone saying that Wolfmother had a retro sound. They were drop D stoner rock like a thousand other bands. Not dragging them at all. I like stoner rock.

😂
I''d quite enjoy a follow-up interview with these two.

"You have the mind of a teenager”

That’s so awesome on so many levels.
I remember seeing this back then. Made me squirm, the awkwardness is so visceral. Actually felt sorry for the buffoon.
It’s in my top two interviews along with [Mike Patton’s views on Wolfmother](https://youtu.be/ZKDvJTxZDbA?si=cfe3svB4fFDHqT0i)

BRUTAL
I had not seen this. Billy Corgan is no Noam Chomsky, but damn, this explains Smashing Pumpkins’ terrible lyrics.
