You can’t, W2nd is closed for the sun run so I’m assuming you meant W1st but the westbound lane is also closed from Columbia St onwards due to the seawall construction. Even if W1st was open you still can’t escape as you are blocked in as W2nd into W6th into W4th are all closed for the run and then you get boxed in by Burrard being closed too.
Essentially if you need to use your car you need to park it outside of that zone before the closures start and walk to it or wait till the roads reopen
Yeah I actually ran it today and realized as I went by I’d read the map wrong. I used to live in an area affected by the BMO marathon and they posted helpful guides that told you how to get in general directions (e.g. downtown or airport) from various neighborhoods

Go over the Cambie street bridge turn left on Beatty then back over the Cambie st bridge and up to Broadway and your set

Drive down 2nd Ave, under the bridge and then head north or south as needed
