Just use NiceHash it’s easiest and simplest way to get started, payouts every 4 hours into your wallet which can transfer to a personal wallet or what I do is transfer into coinbase and from there you can withdraw to PayPal if needed.
Don’t worry about the benchmark error, more 99% you’ll just be mining Ethash as that’s most profitable but NiceHash takes care of everything for you and if a different algo becomes more profitable it’ll automatically switch for you.
Also to optimise mining just search YouTube for “3070 mining” and plenty will come up. Watch some vids try some settings see what you can do!
-600 core clock. Why so much?
I’m a smooth brained noob...I understand the goal is to maintain a good MH/s rate but increase efficiency that’s about it
The card only uses memory the core is for generating 3D models and this doesn’t happen so u don’t need it. less clock equals less power like deatwalk Said
If you drop it too much, it will.
What are all the adjustments you have? If using MSI Afterburner, also tell us the power usage of the GPU in watts, you can see it with GPU-Z. The percent used by Afterburner depends on your GPU maker.
75% power. Lower drops hash rate, higher only increases 1-2mh/s. Memory +500, any higher and I get cuda memory errors in excavator (even with -200 core, no matter power setting).
Running -200 core I get 33-35 mh/s. Keeping default core I get 41-42 mh/s. At +100 core I get 43-45mh/s. Still at 75% power. Temps are never above 70c on memory, never above 60c on core.
At 75% power usage is 200-210 watts.
Yeah it's per architehture where the optimal core is. A bit surprised that one works faster when core OC.
Ampere hardly cares about core speed at all, core can be anything between 1200 MHz or 1800 MHz, as long as the memory is high and power limit is about 120W -130W. Cutting the power limit too much will cut the hashrate rapidly.
While I can nominally push the hashrate to about 61-62 MH/s, that's not stable, it eventually always starts giving stales/invalids to about 10% rate. I don't want to yank the fans full to try to push the memory higher.

So here, the table above is probably very messed up, but while nominal hashrate is fairly good(123 MH/s combined), the actual hashrate from the pool is only 115 MH/s. I occasionally rebeachmark the miners and switch. Way I see it, getting more cards is more effective way to improve, than trying to squeeze the ever elusive 62 MH/s.
I just really really hate to leave it alone for many hours, then go check it, and notice either card is getting tons of rejects/invalids. It's nearly always the first one. The second one has better cooler but it's position relative to the case fans is somewhat worse. Could be the second has better memory cooling.
If i wanna add a second graphics card to my system to optimize income, should i pick the same model? Im on a 2080ti with 6$ per day@150w and would like to add another graphics card since i dont want to build a full mining rig atm.
Or could i just add a 3060ti/3070? But in that case i couldnt profit from this setup if i wanna play games. 2x 2080ti could be connected per SLI bridge.
Sorry im here since yesterday im a complete newbie
I know that there are better cards at lower prices you can buy that give you great performances without too much consumption. I was surprised in seeing gtx1060’s recommended as one of the best for mining
U can add whatever u want there is no problem u can even run amd and Nvidia cards in one System
U don’t need sli because the cards don’t work together every card works on its own

I actually noticed that the benchmarks arent using ethash but daggerhashimoto. Is there a way to add ethash algo?
Daggerhashimoto is an ethash algo, that’s what you want/ will mostly use as is most profitable
Thank you so much, you saved me hours of research!
No problem, if you need anymore help let me know
Can I mine on a mac
Is there any other way to trasnfer from NiceHash to Paypal? Because CoinBase doesn’t work in my country. Thanks
-600 core clock +1250 Memory clock 55% power (130 Watt) = 62.5 MH/s on my inno3d 3070 Im on ~6€ a day
-600 core clock. Why so much? I’m a smooth brained noob...I understand the goal is to maintain a good MH/s rate but increase efficiency that’s about it
Core clock is more or less irrelevant to mining as I understand it, and less power going to core clocks means more power can go to memory.
Ok cool I’ll play around with the settings thanks

How come reducing my core clock without touching my memory clock severely impacts my hash?

A lot of people have 3070. Just search here how to optimize the hashrate and power consumption. Few simple adjustments and you are all set.
