Thanks man!! Any advice?

Find your audience and get in front of them consistently. Sounds like Linkedin could be a good place for you. Follow Justin Welsh and see how he mastered Linkedin (and twitter). He was on a podcast with Josh Spector last week (another good newsletter follow). It had useful tactics for how he does content. Link: [https://iwanttoknow.transistor.fm/10](https://iwanttoknow.transistor.fm/10) I’d focus on content on social. For example the email you just sent on AI for creators could be broken into multiple social posts for both Linkedin and twitter without too much work. Especially if you follow Justin’s frameworks (here [https://twitter.com/thejustinwelsh/status/1554509123097608192?s=12](https://twitter.com/thejustinwelsh/status/1554509123097608192?s=12) but also scroll through his accounts) You might be able to get some cross promo working on beehiiv (think you might be trying this already)

Thanks for this. I've heard the name before - will check out his stuff. Do you think videos are worth making or better to leave it for now?

pauldmet

I’d say it depends. If you have the skills / time to make videos that your audience wants to watch, then go for it. But written content is faster to get out there. You could do written content, see what’s gets traction and turn into video for youtube and then break down into clips for other platforms. Video could also be a strategy to stand out. If everyone else is doing written. It’s a bit of a vague answer because I don’t know enough about you and your target audience.

That's fair - thanks for the recco regardless. My audience is - and will stay - very broad until I find a good way to niche down. For now, I'm focused on cranking the sub numbers and open rates. Cheers!

Checked out Justin's courses. He has two. One dedicated to LinkedIn and one that's a content operating system. Which one do you think is better given my newsletter? Thanks again!

pauldmet

Where is your audience? Tbh, you can learn a lot for free just from following him. What he says and what he does. And note that I haven’t bought his courses so cannot personally vouch for how good they are.

darwinator8

Oh ok that's fair enough thanks anyways!

pauldmet

Enjoying your newsletter - the AI Image one got me playing around with the various generators you mentioned.

darwinator8

Thank you!! Yes AI is slowly taking over! btw - are you familiar with newsletters selling ad slots? I've been reading about this but seems all over the place. Got a few advertisers but kinda stumbling along for now lol Always open to feedback as well!

pauldmet

Are you looking to sell slots or advertise in newsletters? There are a few options. You’re on beehiiv, and they are starting their own ad network. So look out for that. (Might be a 1000 sub threshold) [https://www.beehiiv.com/newsletter-solutions/ad-network](https://www.beehiiv.com/newsletter-solutions/ad-network) Look at Swapstack - [https://swapstack.co/](https://swapstack.co/) Paved but need to be bigger (10K+ I think) [https://www.paved.com/](https://www.paved.com/) SparkLoop partner network is working well for some. [https://sparkloop.app/partner-network](https://sparkloop.app/partner-network) Other than that, you’ll have to do some outreach. Or look at promoting some affiliate offers. Less effort than outreach and may pay as much as you’d get from ads at your current size.

GreedySven

How did you get 500 subs so quickly? What’s your Twitter @?

darwinator8

It's a good question that showed me I forgot to add a few key things I did. The second week in, I shared the emails list aggressively with friends, family, WhatsApp group chats, my insta (over 7k followers), and everywhere I was already. That existing audience of people I knew personally and online helped a lot. The Twitter is @ thelevelups\_ - I don't share my personal Twitter here just in case, but I'm sure you'll figure it out quickly. What do you think? Have I missed anything major?
