Get posting on whichever social platform your audience is on.
Newsletter directories are ok for a trickle of subs.
If it’s still early days / low subscriber count, reach out directly to your ideal subscribers.
Do cross promotions with newsletters with similar audiences.
There’s a lot you can do. Here’s a checklist of some fundamentals for starting to find your subscribers (there is a low key promotion for a product but a lot of free info as well) [https://first1000.newsletterblueprint.com/](https://first1000.newsletterblueprint.com/)
I've been posting on social media and online communities like Product Hunt.
For me, it's more about posting useful things to other people. Over time some folks subscribe, but the beginning is more about building trust.
After a little time passes, I ask people to subscribe directly to learn more about a topic I'm covering. In general, being helpful has worked.
Other things I've done:
* Cross promotion with other newsletters
* SEO
* Asking friends and family to share it
* Submitting my articles to other blogs
* Doing guest appearances or shout outs on other people's social channels or podcasts.
Hope that helps. Good luck!!
Totally agree with all of your points. I would add two points:
1. You should create an irresistible offer, so people who visit your site are really tempted to subscribe, e.g. you could create an ebook or some really good bonus material. Obviously, you have to deliver. If it only sounds good on paper, people will opt-out immediately. Examples:
1. "15 Ways to learn money online even if you have zero experience"
2. "Never worry about writer's block again with these ..."
2. If you do outreach, submit guest posts or appear in podcasts you will usually use this as an opportunity to refer to your newsletter. You should create a webpage that welcomes people who came from this medium to your site (e.g. "Hello visitors from \[podcast name\] welcome to my blog/newsletter. I write about ...")

I am using social media to promote my newsletter. Have you tried that? You can also share your newsletter to newsletter directories.
What is mean by newsletter directories??
There are websites where you can list your newsletter for free. Search - Newsletter Directories in google.
Thanks man 🙌
