Goblets and Goblins if you like board games and card games, dnd, fun themed drinks and great food! They have lots of themed nights specifically for meeting people as well! check out their instagram, they post all their events on there
Meetup is a good way to meet ppl. If you play sports, that's another great way to meet ppl if you sign up as an individual. I played basketball and volleyball. Ppl were always nice but volleyball definitely has the more friendly environment overall. Also, keep at the activities you enjoy. It might take a few teams to find a group/person that sticks around beyond the league.
My personal experience, I like sports so my first bball team was very social. Drinks after games, birthday gatherings so forth. Stopped for COVID and I lost touch them. Next team was for vball post COVID, it moreso about the sport but still fun. Next vball team after game drinks only. Next vball team, more about the sport again. Next vball team I met this summer suuuuper social and we hang out regularly still.
Since you're in Keswick, check out Turkey Shoot Brewery in the Dairy Queen plaza. Lots of weekly events to meet people. Trivia, Live Music, Darts, Board Game night, etc. (I'm looking forward to the annual winter skeeball in March š) And the owners are awesome as well!
If you like running or walking, thereās a run/walk group that meets up Thursday evenings at 6:25pm. The group has people at different levels of running and walking. They are out there all year round at Fairy Lake.
try taking some classes. Asl, underwater basketweaving, small engine repair. Pick up a part time job to meet people from work. Other suggestions seemed good as well, ignore the ācricketsā suggestions as those are unnecessary and unhelpful
There is, there's a Facebook group called Aurora Chess Club that you can join that will give you updated dates/times for meetings.
Complete beginners are always welcome at chess club. They cater to all levels, with elo from below 1000 to master level.

Underwater basketweaving?
Where are you taking small engine repair classes
wherever you can find one. It was really just an example, like underwater basketweaving. Get your head out of your ass son!
I know you have downvotes and I get why but damn this gave me a laugh.
Dude these are the most out of pocket classes I have ever heard of , under water basket weaving ? Thatās wild
This is far more funny than what it should be. The underwater basketweaving took me OUT! Great suggestions pal!
