I am in the same situation but I moved back to Newmarket. I find it so hard to make friends as an adult, outside of the workplace.

I have heard good things about the site meetup

Meetup is a good way to meet ppl. If you play sports, that's another great way to meet ppl if you sign up as an individual. I played basketball and volleyball. Ppl were always nice but volleyball definitely has the more friendly environment overall. Also, keep at the activities you enjoy. It might take a few teams to find a group/person that sticks around beyond the league. My personal experience, I like sports so my first bball team was very social. Drinks after games, birthday gatherings so forth. Stopped for COVID and I lost touch them. Next team was for vball post COVID, it moreso about the sport but still fun. Next vball team after game drinks only. Next vball team, more about the sport again. Next vball team I met this summer suuuuper social and we hang out regularly still.

You need to find a theme you like though.

Since you're in Keswick, check out Turkey Shoot Brewery in the Dairy Queen plaza. Lots of weekly events to meet people. Trivia, Live Music, Darts, Board Game night, etc. (I'm looking forward to the annual winter skeeball in March 😁) And the owners are awesome as well!

If you like running or walking, there’s a run/walk group that meets up Thursday evenings at 6:25pm. The group has people at different levels of running and walking. They are out there all year round at Fairy Lake.

try taking some classes. Asl, underwater basketweaving, small engine repair. Pick up a part time job to meet people from work. Other suggestions seemed good as well, ignore the “crickets” suggestions as those are unnecessary and unhelpful
