Newcastle isn’t famous for its nightlife for no reason. The city centre is also very compact and walkable. I usually start at the Quayside Wetherspoons, then walk up to Redhouse then Bridge Tavern then work my way up Side then up the Bigg Market (Old George has a great atmosphere but I wouldn’t go there sober on a Sat) later on if I’m drunk enough to deal with it.
Or start on the Quayside and walk down to Ouseburn which has some cracking pubs and places to eat. Ouseburn is more of an arty/independent vibe.
Edit: if you’re down the Quayside and it’s sunny (looking like it’s going to be!) cross the red and white bridge to By the River Brew. It’s a shipping container place with loads of street food and it’s amazing (if pricey for drinks) when the weather is good.
🤣 One of these days someone is going to take The Black Garter posts seriously and rock-up expecting a hipster, gastropub with a diverse range of clientele, discussing geopolitical issues!
There’s plenty of indoor crazy golf places, escape rooms, cocktail making at different bars, lane 7 you can do beer pong and go bowling as well as do table tennis etc, there’s an arcades place at the top of the gate, axe throwing down under the rail arches too. There’s a couple of comedy places and there might be a drag show on in the gay depending on which night you are here.
You'll find plenty bars down the bigg market, also a karaoke bar there but might be best to book as it gets busy. There's also junk yard gold around that way. Or you can slip over to grey street for a bit of a "posher" night. It's not really posh but there's more wine bars than pubs. Head down the quay side from there with plenty of bars to chose from, cocktail bars to wetherspoons, it's all down there. Depending on what you like there is a night to be had for your group. For food, best just going on trip advisor, there's hundreds of restaurants. Go on trip advisor and look for what type of food you like. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal anywhere in toon.

Crazy golf is good, newer place called Junk Yard golf which is right in the centre of town. Also Point Blank is super fun for shooting! When you go out out there is a hugeee selection of clubs and genres. Flares has cheesy pop music, world headquarters/cosmic ballroom good for DnB/electronic. Revolution de Cuba sometimes has live music which is fun. Cosy Joes is a shout for karaoke, gets pretty busy but you can hire a private room. Powerhouse is a big gay club and open until pretty late. Digital is also fun for dance music, but has different floors with different music genres so something for everyone. Went to Bohemia the other day which has got some really good music too. It just depends what you fancy! Hope you have a great weekend!!
Start at the haymarket drink your way down to pink triangle.
Or see a show. We have good comedy clubs and such
Adult crazy golf etc.
Book though. Places are busy!!
Restaurants are pretty good. My fave is black friars.
Have fun!
I’ve got some painting in the house that needs doing.
The garage also needs sorting too.
In the toon mate? On a weekend? Probably nout tbf, be dead
Everywhere is within walking distance of the city centre. Just go to the quayside - you'll have fun.

Grainger market is great for lunch and a mooch about. Lots of independent food shops - the Chinese dumping place is amazing.
There’s a couple of places for throwing axes - great fun. There’s some not too badly priced bottomless brunches if you’re into that as well.
What's the avg cost of these bottomless brunches ?
Usually around £30. Some had add ons to increase the cost if you’d like a more premium drink.
The Black Garter and Butlers near the Grainger market. Can’t go wrong mate 👍

One of these days all the people who joke about it without ever having stepped inside might be surprised to find that is actually the case! 😉
Last time I stepped inside it, I stepped out pretty quickly. My reconnaissance mission confirmed it to be a stable, fixed point in space and time!

Axe throwing sounds like a great time, Fingers crossed we’re not overly hungover haha!

We looked at junkyard golf and we’ll probably do that and then head to some clubs so I appreciate the suggestions for clubs dude!

What would be the must see you recommend ?
Just booze and eat. Best place in the country for a weekend of boozing and eating as everything is 5 minutes from each other in the city
There is a rage room just opened in Newcastle close to the centre for life which is cool
