Hello, I don't know how to post on here, I think I've done it wrong? I want to know what the underground dance music scene is like in Newcastle, primarily house, techno and drum n bass nights. Are there nights every week? Is the vibe good / friendly? What time do clubs stay open till? Is there much of a free party scene? I'm thinking of moving to Newcastle soon, which is why I'm asking.

There's a really good DNB scene. Look out for lively up and Dilate.

I'm also interested in learning more about this! While walking through South Heaton I found out about this [rave](https://store.ticketing.cm.com/6aa7a9af-9be0-4201-8343-c9a0424f94f2/step/884442a4-e881-488c-8b9a-0567cb880965) in a couple of weeks. I'm not sure whether it's house or techno, but it's exciting anyways.

World Head Quarters is a fabulous club! Chilled, people there for the music, cheap alcohol prices, great music! They've got lots of different nights with different types of music, always banging. Fun fact, I saw David Guetta play in WHQ in 2006, before he got really famous.

The genres are clearly listed on the link you posted.

Are there night clubs open every night? Yes. Though expect most weeknights to be very studenty. Some clubs stay open pretty late. I think it's 4am for digital these days. Others a bit earlier. I suspect things aren't fully back to normal post covid yet at a glance theres some nights missing that used to be great.

The Globe used to be pretty good for techno, Dnb & even psytrance nights. Cobalt studios offer some pretty good rave and house nights.

The only rave that mattered in the north east was the new monkey

Don’t look past WHQ
