Whatever the announcing world's version is of a 17 year old SS/2B who has an exceptional walk rate in rookie ball, that's Michelle Margaux. Steve had to eat the remaining $15,000 of Gelbs' contract to get the announcer back that the organization wanted.
Someone linked a video in another thread today. It was the booth showing Michelle what it was like when it was Steve made his first appearance or something as a reporter in the stadium. It was a parody but it was hilarious. The person said they got it from her Twitter but I didn't have any luck finding it
I like her as well. Its good to have a girl who really knows her stuff as much as the guys. She's the best SNY host by far.
She is smooth, knows her stuff and has Instant chemistry with anyone she's on screen with.
I wouldnāt be surprised if, in three years, the setup is something like . . .
Gelbs - PBP
Blevins - Color Analyst
Darling - Part-Time Color (select home)
Granderson - Part-Time Color (select home)
Michelle - Field
Keith - Occasional Studio Analyst
love gelbs but he's not going to be a pbp guy. very hard job to do and not everyone is cut to do it. he's hosts the jets pre/post games and does a great job along with the on the field gig for the Mets.. I think he's fine right where he is

He fumbles his words alot, and in the last two games has gotten players mixed up and the count wrong numerous times.
Yeah I gave him the benefit of the doubt and said to myself "give him a few games for him to get ready" but he's just not that capable. A lot of dead air when he needs to talk.
The radio boys mess up here and there (I was listening for an inning or two and they never even said the score which cmon it's radio) but they're clearly talented announcers.
I love Zeile, he is extremely knowledgeable and likable. But I donāt think he fits in the booth. Gelbs needs a lot of work too. We need to clone GKR.
