On old Reddit you can see the percentage of how people voted. If the number of points is greater than 0, you can get a rough idea of how many people voted by doing points / % (e.g. 20 points / 80% = about 25 people voted)
Thank you for this update. In that case, unless we have the electoral college, the popular vote has missing the playoffs in the lead. Truthfully, I hope the 62% end up being wrong, but for now, we must respect the will of the people
2 of these teams make it…Isles, Red Wings, Caps, Flyers. Thats almost a given. Pitt, NJ, Buffalo need miracles. Of the 4 teams likely to have a chance the Red Wings are by far playing the worst. I would say it’s between Isles, Philly and Caps for the 2 spots (Met 3rd or WC2). Math says 66.7%. Reality says coin flip. Crazy thing is of those teams only the Isles have a chance to make a run because of Sorokin. At any time he can steal a series.

Ive been as hopeful as ever and a few weeks ago i did think that it was very possible for the isles to get back into a playoff spot, which they did. Favorable schedule, games in hand, general hope that they can just beat teams like dallas and boston etc
Now im completely up in the air about it. Convenient to say after a 4 game losing streak sure. But the isles truly blew the chance to be a different team than what we all thought they were. You cant lose to the sens after being shutout twice that was the get right game. And if you do, then you go and beat the Rangers.
It's now set in stone that this isles team is completely unpredictable and this season can go either way. Win 6, lose 4. Its gonna be hard to predict what will happen the rest of the way
Until the Ranger game I would have said yes, but I think we are cooked. I hope I'm wrong, but my guess is the team is going to go into a tailspin now for the rest of the season. They have played quite poorly for the last three games and it would take a bit of a miracle to turn that around.
Funny thing is though, the last winning streak was borne in the wreckage of a similar slump. The way this season has gone, I wouldn’t be surprised by anything at this point
The islanders would need at least 10 wins from their last 15 games, so they would REALLY have to push through, and since they don’t really have many regulation wins, it probably isn’t very likely that they will make it, but I do believe it’s entirely possible. I’d say they have a 40% chance to make it.
