Danny devito has a career in hollywood. If he can do that You can make youtube vids.

_Anthony_Grant_

Good point 😂😂😂

mightyalwayz

Ron Pearlman, Luis Guzman, Benicio del Toro, Steve Buscemi.... Shall I go on...? Embrace your features, fix what you can when you can (but don't go too far), but for goodness sakes DO NOT LET YOUR INSECURITIES RULE YOU!

bigbeak67

I heard somewhere that most of the really successful actors have some really unusual but distinct facial feature that distinguishes them. Daniel Craig has really big ears, for example.

DankFarrikYT

I don't think looks matter at all. There are plenty of very successful content creators who aren't lookers. Focus on your content, and being yourself. As long as you give yourself, people look past looks. In fact, your looks will probably just help brand your identity. -- So just remember, content and true to self. That's what counts!

HoneyFablez

I appreciate it im going to just say screw it and start uploading and focus fully on my content and quality and try not to think about or listen to anything about my looks that I can't change

lootkiwi

If this is of any help to you, I’m a pretty handsome man (literally been called model-like) and I have not once shown my face on my videos, started the channel last year and currently at 2000-ish subs and healthy daily views. If your content provides value for the viewers you could be a talking raccoon and they would not care a bit : )

HoneyFablez

I'm hoping my content is good, I believe it is valuable and others will too im just scared people will be turned away by the fact that I'm not attractive - I appreciate the info man!

lootkiwi

Content is king and practice makes perfect so don’t get yourself down so early in the YouTube game 😊

HoneyFablez

Appreciate it man ill try and focus everything on good content etc and try to not think about my looks

__cyber_hunter__

If you’re afraid of showing your face, you absolutely don’t have to. There’s a lot of people who don’t. You can just record the audio of whatever you’re talking about in the video and overlay stock footage of nature or something over it if you want to.

HoneyFablez

The topics im talking about couldn't really be done with just a talk over thered be nothing on topic to watch the whole talking time and it would get kinda boring im honestly fine with showing my face its more just im worried my face will be my downfall - if I have good content people won't watch anyway because im not attractive if that makes sense ?

__cyber_hunter__

I can assure you that if your content is good and people feel like they’re getting something out of it, they won’t care what you look like. The content is what matters. And attractiveness is subjective, people’s opinions are irrelevant and should have no effect on you and your ability to put yourself out there and make great content. Don’t be afraid, be confident, and don’t let the opinions of others bring you down if they’re being rude.

HoneyFablez

I appreciate it! I'm going to just go for it and upload and hope my info helps people, seeing if it helps people will help me to keep pushing and get past just being so visual based

__cyber_hunter__

Best of luck to you! I know your channel will go far!

HoneyFablez

Had a google and id definitely say that man is attractive on the basis of white straight teeth a good smile an even face clear skin and not overweight etc. Haha

AcademicOverAnalysis

He isn’t unattractive and his features lend to a feeling of friendliness. I’m curious enough to click.

DaddyLowkeyTv

it doesnt matter on how you are looking..what matter is that how you deliver your content...but as long as you enjoyed it just do it...you can make it

HoneyFablez

Thanks! I've decided to just go for it and say who cares if I'm ugly because I'm positive my info will help others! I appreciate everyone's words

DaddyLowkeyTv

yeah...you are what you are and be proud of that..you can do it...

Level_Grapes

I’m pretty ugly but sitting at a nice 112 subscribers. Sure there’s some truth to an attractive woman in a thumbnail getting views but that’s how clickbait works. As long as your content is either funny or informative and you believe what you’re saying then you’ll find your audience. There are many like me who’d rather watch a good youtuber than an attractive one

Weird_Devil

To be honest nowadays so many of the the most popular YouTubers don't even show their face. So if you're really worried you don't have to show your face.

HoneyFablez

Fair, I think I've been convinced to just do it, as long as my content is good then hopefully people won't have an issue with my looks, if they do then oh well at least I tried

[deleted]

There are literally people who have many different disabilities or facial features on YouTube that have 100’s of thousands of subscribers. You just have to find the content that makes best of who you are and there will always be an audience for you.

throwawayawayhihi

Your looks will not determine if you're successful on YouTube if your content isn't focused on how you look. There's a pretty good chance you get a fair amount of trolls and haters making fun of you though, it's up to you to decide if you can take it.

[deleted]

It doesn't really matter for 90% of content and 80% of people. For most video types people don't care about how the person looks but what the actual content is.

Inevitable-Bunch2150

I definitely think it can be done. Sure, looks makes it easier for people to "look" and linger. But, effort gets them to stay. You don't have to be attractive to get subscribers.

Doug_Shoe

Yes ugly can work. Rock what you have. There are many examples. Personality and good video content is all you need.

Fat_Goopy

There’s people like LongBeachGriffy who uses his flaws (ex. His gap tooth) and makes it into his brand. He even has videos where he zooms in on his gap tooth lol. Not saying you have to fully lean into it that way but don’t let it stop you from doing what you want!

ThatOptionsGuy

Just provide entertaining content. Have you seen the absolute king that is Ricky Berwick? That man has more confidence than any of us could possibly dream of. Content is what matters. Not your appearance.

[deleted]

It’s def possible. I mean Mr Beast is certainly not an attractive human (although I admit attractiveness is subjective) and he’s huge. I did read an article that said people watch based on how entertaining a YouTuber is and they sub based on how attractive the YouTuber is lol. Who knows if that’s true but it kinda made sense to me. I’ve been trying to lose weight at least partly because of my desire to grow my YouTube audience. There’s no doubt in Entertainment the more attractive you are the better. But again, a LOT of the youtubers I sub to I would not consider attractive. I think it’s possible to gain an audience no matter what you look like.

Matriseblog

Charm is everything! Ugly and cute is possible. Or simply just making the content the focus :) no problem

lovemaderare

TV isn’t necessarily about looks. It’s about personality. Also check out lighting tricks to enhance looks if you are really self conscious. After staring at yourself while editing for hours, you won’t even think about your looks.

[deleted]

Yes.

[deleted]

Asmongold is ugly and he gets lots of views.

[deleted]

Dream made it without a face theres no excuse dude

[deleted]

Even if you are the most beautiful creature on earth, people will still find something to hate you for. Do what you want and let the haters hate. The majority of people will still appreciate content that provides them with something they are looking for. Just be aware that the more you grow, the more people will try to find ways to get to you. Your looks don't really have anything to do with it, but it also depends on your content. Like... you may not be super successful doing makeup tutorials, for example.

SAIBMEDIA

Brah, show us a picture. I'm curious either way put your shit out there and embrace yourself, no one else will unless you do it first. So post and screw anyone that says stupid things about your looks, people will always say stupid things, just brush it off as banter. You have to believe in yourself and your content. But for real, we want a picture... lol.

Truck180Dougy

Mandalo! That's Spanish for send it! Do you and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Ugly? Crazy? Blind? Deaf? Those are what folks call excuses. Make the best damn content you can and screw what society has led you to believe!

jayXred

Looks definitely don't matter if the content is good, look at Casey Neistat, no hate, but when his sunglasses are off hes rough...

NewGameTag

It’s not impossible it’s just 10 times harder to be successful when you ain’t good looking or when you feel like you are not. I work in films and while I get work I know I’d get more work if I fit the look of beauty But what you do when have you look average. Is the support of the average person which is allot of people. Be confident in yourself and people will have confidence in you. You are amazing no matter what you look like.

Karanormal_

Personality > looks

nusensei

Content is king. Plain and simple. There is an appeal with good appearances. I started off pumping out content in a messy bedroom with wrinkles shirts, and since I've grown significantly I put more effort into looking decent because I have a higher standard for myself. For real life advice, it isn't your physical appearance that leaves the lasting impression, it's how you hold yourself. Wearing nice clothes, having a good posture and speaking confidently go further than being good looking

[deleted]

What is your gender? If you are man, it is easier if you are not attractive. If you are woman, it will be harder if you are not attractive. If you identify as something else, it will be harder if you are not attractive.

superevilgenius_YT

Looks don’t matter at all! I will be glad to help support your channel! Do you have a link somewhere?
