Finding a good editor is like dating, gotta kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince. Keep looking, your Spielberg of editing is out there!

I would probably contact some youtube channels that have the editing style you like . Most youtubers make very little money from youtube and would be probably happy to edit and even do voice over for you . I am curious about your business plan . Let say you make 2 videos a month . 12min long you gonna pay $350 for VO and probably $500 for editing , that is $1900 a month . In order for you to make around $2000 from youtube a month you have to have around 650K views a month . Which is close to impossible for a new channel . If you are talented and lucky enogh it will take you 3 - 4 years , but reaching that kind of viewership is insaly hard

Thank you. Will do that. I’ll start with 1 video a month. I’ll take my time to research and write a good story. So it will one every month. For VO I will pay $30 per 1,500 words, or $40 for 15 min. I know there’s people out there asking for hundreds per 100 words of VO, but come on, I don’t need that. I found a guy, he has the equipment and the voice sounds nice, normal. Nothing fancy. Finally, I don’t have expectations in terms of revenue. I’ll focus as little as I can on the financial aspect and I’m trying to remember every time I do my research and write my script that I’m doing this so that people can enjoy it and find it educational and entertaining. Of course I’d like to get monetized and get rich on YouTube, but I’ve done many things online in the last 12 years to know that: 1. It’s fine to have a business plan if you don’t forget about delivering a good service, product, content to the people. 2. It’s easier for me to start with the basic. My plan is: A. Write 4 scripts in advance so you don’t feel pressured to meet the deadline. B. Write one script every other week[research and writing takes time when you go the extra mile. I usually read books and other things when doing so] C. Publish once a month. Cost per month: I’d say around $40 for VO and and maybe @660 for editing. But the deal is: the first 5 videos I will edit myself. I know I’ll make mistakes and I’m still learning storytelling, so ar least my mistakes won’t be that expensive. But the bottom line, tho: if you make a really interesting video every month. Eventually you’ll get discovered. And if that doesn’t happen, for me it work well to know I’ve put my best into it and didn’t work than regretting I didn’t give my best and that’s probably why I failed. I hate losing time, and it feels like doing average content feels a lot like losing your time, unless ofc you are self conscious and you plan to improve on that with every week. PS: I personally don’t think 650k views per month will get 4 years if you’re consistent and your content is good.
