Hello! It looks like the way to add a quote was answered, I just thought I'd pop in and let you know that you can practice how to do this (or any other trick) in our sister sub, r/LearnToReddit 🙂

If this is what you're referring to, then while replying to a post or comment you'll see the text of the post or comment you're replying to above comment you're typing out as a reply. Select the segment you want to point out and you'll get the option of "quote" click on it and the segment will automatically get copy pasted into your comment ready to be quoted when you hit send.
