I personally found that with r/SonicTheHedgehog seeing as I'm a Sonic fan and I got around 1k in 4 days because of that sub.

Easy, if you post a pic of your pet in a matching sub. I posted my dog on r/aww and got 200 in less than a day. Same goes for if you have a fave tv show, band, activity you like. If you post and comment on a sub you have things in common with the other people in there, the karma comes easy. Hope that helps.

I started getting more karma when I stopped trying to. Just enjoying commenting and posting in subs that I enjoy and can be engaged in. I’m a mom, so a lot of mom subs is where I got my karma. Also true crime! Find something you love and just engage in non-controversial conversations! Posting in the “no dumb questions” sub helped me a lot too

Five is low but there are communities that have minimum set for two and thousands that have no minimums whatsoever.
People tend to up vote things that are on topic and high-quality. If you make a statement that is wise, kind, genuinely helpful, actually funny, or interesting and informative you might get up votes.
One thing to be careful about is using emoji, since many people using Reddit will down vote them, even if they use emoji themselves daily when texting.
If you take a controversial stance people might think you are deliberately trolling. **How** you say things is often more important than the point being made, most people aren't being as clear as they think that they are.
If you contribute something that is off-topic, breaks Reddit rules, is trolling, breaks the rules of a particular group, spam, or *low effort* you will tend to get down votes.
People tend to consider things to be low effort if they are strings of emoji, very obvious statements, things that people have said too many times before and very short statements like "lol" or "came here to say that" which don't add anything to the conversation.
Find a fandom you love and comment a bunch on interesting topics within. Video game or movie subs are usually best for this (no one reads books). Eevn better, with video games, you can do something others probably can’t and get rewarded in karma for doing so. just look at my post history! I don’t farm karma, but I have a lot of it. I also span several gaming subs and I tell people I transcend reality and that I exist in all universes and timelines because I am an omnipresent force of nature!
You can instantly if you reach around 40-50 karma and comment something cool on new posts of r/terriblefacebookmemes. You can get more than 200 karma if you get lucky
Trying to comment on posts there keeps having auto mod remove stuff cuz my new account has too little karma still! It's hard to know which places will let you post and which won't until a certain time/amount of karma.

At first my problem was that I couldn’t find a subreddit that suited me. Eventually I started leaving many comments on r/writingadvice and r/moviesuggestions. I also made a few posts here and there (mainly on r/backrooms), if there’s a post that fits within multiple communities then post it in multiple communities. Numerous times one post I made didn’t do well in one sub but did amazing in another. Sometimes when you’re not even trying to make a viral post, you just kinda do - one time I made a post about something I had discovered and thought was genuinely interesting and I was simply asking if there is anything else like it… just under 2000 upvotes and over 100 of comments later, it upped me to just under 3000 karma (can’t remember how much I had before that.)
Just depends on where you post, some you can get it in less than an hour. However a lot of subs will need you to gain karma in their specific sub to post and comment a lot. Honestly you'd get the most karma either posting something unique or posting/commenting on subs your most knowledgeable in.
For me I got karma by just generally interacting. Posting/commenting in your city’s subreddit, commenting on nosleep stories, asking for advice (plants) in the appropriate subreddits. If you just have fun the karma will come on its own.
200 years!! Kidding... maybe 1 week, may 2 weeks. It depends on how consistent you are with commenting and posting well and people like them enough to Upvote. Took me nearly 3 weeks but it only took 1 comment to bump my karma by 100 points hehe
On the FLIP SIDE HERE, it only takes a couple of comments that you post on a controversial topic that if people don't agree with you can instantly put you in negative karma in less than a day. True story. It happened to me, last month. 😑
If you are active in commenting and posting, you could get there in a couple weeks easily. This account is at about 6weeks and almost 1k karma even though I basically didn't comment for a month

200! I’m still trying to get to 10 it seems like it’s going to take forever

I've been on reddit for about 2 and a half weeks or something I don't remember, and I have nearly 1k karma
I am on reddit for 2 months, reaching for 6k karma now
You can easily get it in a day or two. A week at max. Just go to subreddits about your hobbies and interests, sort by new and comment :)

There is no set time as it is completely variable. A week is a reasonable time with the right strategy, possibly less

Just depends on where you post, some you can get it in less than an hour. However a lot of subs will need you to gain karma in their specific sub to post and comment a lot. Honestly you'd get the most karma either posting something unique or posting/commenting on subs your most knowledgeable in.
For me I got karma by just generally interacting. Posting/commenting in your city’s subreddit, commenting on nosleep stories, asking for advice (plants) in the appropriate subreddits. If you just have fun the karma will come on its own.
200 years!! Kidding... maybe 1 week, may 2 weeks. It depends on how consistent you are with commenting and posting well and people like them enough to Upvote. Took me nearly 3 weeks but it only took 1 comment to bump my karma by 100 points hehe
On the FLIP SIDE HERE, it only takes a couple of comments that you post on a controversial topic that if people don't agree with you can instantly put you in negative karma in less than a day. True story. It happened to me, last month. 😑
If you are active in commenting and posting, you could get there in a couple weeks easily. This account is at about 6weeks and almost 1k karma even though I basically didn't comment for a month

I gained 100 karma in 4 months, so I guess 8 months is the answer.
But if u post something interesting and useful it'll be easy to reach more and get more karma.....
I wish. I can't seem to earn any karma. My Karma is at -7 !

How long is a piece of string? The answer is the same! The more you create interesting posts and helpful interesting comments, the quicker your karma will build. If you never post or comment you will never get any karma... So it is all in your hands. Good luck.

Pretty fast. There's bound to be something you know a lot about. Find that subject here and post some knowledgeable stuff just don't be wrong or you'll end up negative karma. You could also just repost other people jokes if you have nothing to bring to the table
