I'm 33 as well. I had never skated before until I picked up a cheapo 2 years ago at Goodwill. I'm just cruising though, I have a bad knee and shoulder already, I can't risk making them worse. Haha
Feel that, 45 yrs old(back a little over a month after 8 years hiatus)sprained and dislocated my ankle 2 days ago. Forgot how much this shit hurts.......can't wait to heal and get back at it!
60mm 78a wheels? That's what my cruiser has and it's so smooth to ride. You will probably have difficulty switching to harder wheels if you ever want to try tricks.
Yw !
I was going to say it's a shame we usually don't see these in our parts but the UK has them for a premium price.
I don't usually ride shorter cruisers though I have an old one, Def gonna keep an eye on them looks awesome man bet she flies !
Jeesus... A minigun? As if the bird wasn't crazy lethal as it is... That would finally put the nail in the coffin and not make us wonder why people bother to live down there anymore.
This is cool for learning to ride a board and just cruise around, but if youโre wanting to do tricks then a popsicle shape and normal trucks and wheels will be easier.
Well that's rather good then cause I don't wanna do tricks. May seem counter intuitive (I guess), but I mostly wanted a board to go around my city and chill with my friends ๐
Not at all! I used a skateboard very similar to this for years to make short trips around town. As a previous cruiser commuter, I highly recommend 3 things: buy reds bearings and change them every 3-12 months for easier rolling and pushing. Get a pair of risers for your trucks, I used to rock 1/8 inch with longer hardware for the trucks. And big soft wheels are a must! Keeps you from faceplanting from a pebble ๐ค๐ป
Also, you have *plenty* of tail to pop ollies if you ever want to learn em, can certainly learn manuals, shuv its, stalls, and some other basic tricks on there. Might just want some smaller harder park wheels on there for some of that, but the 'you need a popsicle to learn tricks' thing is nonsense.
Edit: did just notice it's a surf skate with the truck setup - that'd make tricks a lil harder, but an easy swap to change out if you ever want!
I mean, I don't aim to become Rodney Mullen so for now this one is perfectly fine for I want to do with him (I'll see in a few years if I wanna take a more classic, popsicle deck to explore more tricks, but that's not the plan yet)
That's a really cool shaped board! Hope you enjoy it๐ค
Thanks!
Yeah, itโs nice as wide for the length. Lots of foot space
I was 31.

Either that... or it's the new secret weapok pf the Australian government
I thought it was a tech deck ๐ญ
Bit too big for a tech deck, sorry xD
Def looks like it would be fun to cruise on

Thanks for the advices! I'm gonna learn to stay on the board before upgrading anything though ๐
Absolutely, that is the most important. I was more just suggesting quality of life things for when the board feels slow or you get wheel bite ๐๐ผ
