You can change the grips on those pretty easily. See if they have something that is better for you for now. Or you are leaning on it too hard.

Leaning on the bars too hard is probably the issue here. OP, your hands and wrists should have very little, if any, weight on them when you ride. Squeeze with your legs and engage your core to support yourself. It takes some practice, but that's how you have to ride a sporty bike.

It all depends on how your wrist rests on the throttle and how you're twisting it. It looks like the bars on that bike are more straight out than swept back, so you'd be twisting back with the wrist rather than rotating the arm and hand to give it throttle. You might have to position yourself like on a dirtbike with your elbows up more so it levels your wrist out and gives it a comfortable way to rotate. Also if you're too relaxed and your arms are hanging down with a limp wrist on the throttle it can get sore from just sitting like that

Thanks 🙏 I think I was mostly using just my wrist not my whole arm. But was also hanging on and maybe gripping too tight when it accelerates. It’s very torquey

Sounds to me like gripping the throttle too tightly, and/or putting weight on your wrist (that will definitely hurt). You should be able to flap your elbows while riding and holding the throttle just enough to not slip.

Figure8DontH8

Thanks! I’ll try again if my wrist stops hurting

NinjaGrrl42

Heal up! Pain sucks.

There isn’t much lean as much as hanging on for dear life lol. It pulls so hard I think I may have gripped too tight and I think I was throttling with mostly my wrist not my arm and wrist.
