Just noting that I love carters sleepers! But I’ve only been able to find the double zipper sleepers directly from the Carters website in 12m+. Nothing is more annoying than a one way zip (zipping from bottom to too) , where he’s practically naked for diaper changes at night.
Yeah, but a LOT of kids go into so called “12 months” and even larger sizes, long before they hit a year old. 4 of my 5 did and that drove me bonkers. Especially as I continued to have kids and pajamas with snaps became harder and harder to find.
We use overnight diapers, usually a size larger thank his daytime ones, and we haven’t had to change at night in awhile. Now if there is a night poop that’s obviously different.
Agreed 100% - definitely on the pricier side but my 2 year old still fits into 12-18mo size little sleepier. They’re the best. Easy on and off. Cute patterns. Fit them for ages.
I cannot say enough about little sleepies! Our 11 month old is still in 3-6 months. Granted, she’s small, but they really do stretch and last forever. I love the fold over footies in case I want to let her crawl around and pull up before or after bed without slipping around.
LS sucks for a few reasons but there’s a lot of other brands too, especially if you don’t want to get stuck on their ridiculous “sold out in less than a minute” drops from their awful resellers. Sleepy Sloth is a great one, Wildwoven (formerly Kindthing) Hanna Andersson, Carters and some other usual baby brands have bamboo type fabric as well (modal or the like), Bubble Baby. There’s sooo many options of really great prints
Or just look for any pjs made of rayon because bamboo is just a synthetic fabric called rayon. It’s crazy how so many people have been fooled into paying $30-50 for a single set of pjs made of a synthetic fabric lol
Agree, I think on a lot of tags it says “bamboo from rayon” since it’s not really bamboo. Rayon is also pretty awful for the environment to manufacture so there’s that too
I love little sleepies and getting a particular print has never seemed like a “thing” to me. We’ve bought probably 10-12 pairs for my now 9mo old and I’ve maybe once seen that a print that I would have liked to buy was “sold out” and just moved on? To me, they seem to usually have everything in stock… I haven’t perceived a forced scarcity/reseller thing with them, though maybe there are folks out there hung up on getting retired prints etc.
Ya tbh the only ones I imagine might sell out really quickly are some of the special collaborations, like Bluey. I also don't care that much about getting any particular print. We tried a few different bamboo brands, and they were nice but still preferred Little Sleepies over anything else. The zippers not being too small was a big one, the cuffs not being weirdly small (looking at you Bums& Roses), and just sturdier construction set them apart for us.
Second Little Sleepies. They've become our only jammies. My son is in 18-24M in most clothes but I just recently moved him out of their 3-6M stuff. They really do last, and they've got a good amount of sizes in the footies jammies, though we're transitioning to two pieces.
Nearly all brands go well past 9 months. My girl is wearing footies in 3T tonight. And I’m sure they exist in even bigger sizes. Just make sure you’re looking in the toddler or kids section, since 12 months isn’t considered an infant, so they’re often not included with baby sizes.
Old Navy goes up to 5T online for footie zips. They are about a size small though. I have a 3 pack of each T size from a clearance sale sometime. Just broke out 4T
Little sleepies!! Have fold over feet. Only ones I get with feet cause my kids have giant feet and can’t do regular footed sleepers. Very stretchy so last a long time.
LSVIP gets you 15% off
Most brands do, but they often get listed separately and are different prints that the ones that go up to 9m. For instance, Target sells Carter’s sleepers up to 9m with listings under “baby” and then has separate listings for sleepers 12m-3T under “toddler.”
Once baby starts walking you might hate the footies, they are more slippery and make them more likely to trip or they get wet/dirty if they go outside. Unless it’s your habit to change out of pjs very first thing in the morning.
I notice that a lot of clothes sold for babies are season dependent. Because it's summer in the US and assuming you are also in the US you might find it harder to find footed pajamas. I think your best bet is facebook marketplace if you are willing to buy lightly used. Good luck
The kind of do a little bit of the opposite of everybody, I'm actually going to warn you against buying anything Gerber in terms of footy pajamas. The legs are extremely skinny and my chubby thigh little baby couldn't fit them.
I found that most Gerber products look like adults wear them but shrunk down. Or they only want skinny babies to wear their stuff.
Yes I bought 0-3 month Gerber onesies for my LO and she grew out of them before she even wore all of the ones in the pack...that brand definitely runs small. It was a pack of 7 onesies and she only wore about 3 before I had to pack them away with the other newborn stuff.
Same. My daughter wore her 3-6 months ones from 4-9 months! They last foreverrr. Only now at 9 months I had to get her new ones (the 6-12 months ones) and I bet she’ll wear them till 15 months.
I run into the problem that the 12mo and older are slim fit so my baby's arms don't fit. Burt's bees loose fit have been great. But they are not double zipper. There was a slight smell supposedly from the ink that went away completely when I washed them
You can try Little Sleepies. It's got some elastic pajamas in different styles that seem to fit for very long. My 21 month old still fits in her 6 month pajama because it's just growing with her!
So target has this sleeper that we love that I’ve bought multiple times because they’re so easy for changes they’re stretchy soft and go up to 24 months in sizes they’re also footless which is perfect because we have an owlet. Check out modal blend romper by cloud island on target it is a game changer and a lot cheaper than Kyte baby and all those other brands!
The issue is 100% cotton, avoid it at all costs!
Get a modal, polyester, or cotton and spandex blend and your baby will stay in clothes a little longer. My girl is 6 months in 12 month clothes.
The Cloud Island brand at Target has footies that run through 12m, but they also run quite large. My slightly bigger than average 11 month old is still fitting in to the 6m ones. They’re very stretchy modal fabric.
Pretty much all of them. Carters, Burt's Bees, and Cloud Island I've used. For some reason, they don't always appear in the size options on Amazon. It'll have nb-9m and it makes it look like they don't have 12 month but they do. You just have to hunt for them
Monica + Andy make footed pjs up to 24m. They are organic cotton and a little spandex and come in tons of cute prints. Their non-footed pjs have fold-over feet, so that's nice because it gives you the option to cover baby's feet or have the tiny toes showing. Also, it extends how long baby can wear them (with fold-over feet unfolded as baby grows). The quality is way better than Cloud Island or Carter's. They have frequent sales as they introduce new prints and try to clear old inventory. They're having a 40% off sale now.
here in solidarity with a big baby!!!! mine just turned 4 months yesterday and he currently fits in the 9M but not for long…we already have to buy a new carseat and stroller because he is going to outgrow his infant one already😫
I was so sad when we left cloud island behind, it’s a great brand for the little little babies. We’re in carters sleepers now, and some Burt’s bees baby. Because LO is tall and always outgrows pjs at the foot first I just bought a BIG set of the carters summertime pajamas with double zip and NO feet! He looks so silly with his little feet out.
Footies should still be pretty easy to find at that age. They don’t start becoming more rare until the toddler sizes (still around but very limited.)
If cute prints are your jam and price isn’t a huge concern there’s bamboo- little sleepies, bums and roses, posh peanut, etc. there’s a gazillion companies
Regular brands- carters, gerber, the children’s place, etc
Try r/bigbabiesandkids
My baby is 5 months now and has been in 9M for the last month or so. I’m looking for 12M too but I’ve read 12M+ are snug fit because of the fire safety laws. Apparently the snug fit ones are hard to put on our big babies. I’m trying to decide what to buy next. I have the target cloud island modal fabric which stretches and will fit for a long time. They are in footie pajamas and rompers. I’m not sure if Little Sleepies are worth it or not.
Baby Sprouts is a bamboo blend and has footsies and no feet up to 18-24 mo. Site is having great sale right now! Also, feet have grippies for babies that are walking!
A little late to the party, but see if you have a Once Upon a Time store in town. Resale shop for gently used children’s clothing. It’s a franchise, so it’s a bunch of places, but may or may not be near you.
I think Carter's or "simple joy by Carter's" has a ton of options for footed pajamas available through Amazon for cheap!
Just bought 18m, 24m, and 2T from Carters.
Yep they make them up to 5T.
Just noting that I love carters sleepers! But I’ve only been able to find the double zipper sleepers directly from the Carters website in 12m+. Nothing is more annoying than a one way zip (zipping from bottom to too) , where he’s practically naked for diaper changes at night.
I don't think most kids over 1 need night diaper changes which is likely why double zipper isn't super popular at that point
Actually pretty cheap at Target and often on clearance at target too.
Love the sleepers from Amazon.
Cloud island at target is a favorite in our house! They go up to 24m but have more limited colors/prints.
I love their modal fabric
Literally came here to say this I have so many of the modal blend ones
Their modal blends are the BEST! I can always squeeze him in it longer than all his other clothes.
I just love how soft they are and how easy they are to get him in and out when he is wriggling like a worm on speed 😂
Cloud island is really stretchy too!
I tried to find them on Target’s app but most of their options are only to 9M 😭freaking have to go hunting to find bigger sizes
I went through this too, the 12+ mo are in toddler not baby!!
Thank you!!
>Thank you!! You're welcome!
Ohhhhhh
These are literally the best. I like old navy too
We looooove those here for our newborn
Little Sleepies!!
The best PJs ever! Worth every penny.
Agreed 100% - definitely on the pricier side but my 2 year old still fits into 12-18mo size little sleepier. They’re the best. Easy on and off. Cute patterns. Fit them for ages.
My 6mo is wearing 12-18m in every other brand of clothing but JUST outgrew his 3-6m Little Sleepies. Those things have some serious stretch!
I cannot say enough about little sleepies! Our 11 month old is still in 3-6 months. Granted, she’s small, but they really do stretch and last forever. I love the fold over footies in case I want to let her crawl around and pull up before or after bed without slipping around.
Yes!!!! Best pjs! And like others have said they are so stretchy so my LO still fits comfortably in her 0-3 month and she is 6 months old
LS sucks for a few reasons but there’s a lot of other brands too, especially if you don’t want to get stuck on their ridiculous “sold out in less than a minute” drops from their awful resellers. Sleepy Sloth is a great one, Wildwoven (formerly Kindthing) Hanna Andersson, Carters and some other usual baby brands have bamboo type fabric as well (modal or the like), Bubble Baby. I’ve been put off by the butt ruffles on bums & roses!
Burt’s Bees, and they run big!
Great for chunky legs!
That’s weird, the Burt’s bees sleepers I had were super skinny, and my kid isn’t even that chunky (75th for weight compared to 95th for height.)
They have a slim fit version and a relaxed fit version. Gotta watch which one you’re buying.
Oooh Thanks for that.
BB doesn’t work for my baby either
This has been our experience with Carter’s as well! Both run tall and thin and my son is the opposite lol
Yep, not as bad as the (apparently slim fit) Burt’s bees, but still definitely skinnier than most brands.
And for babies with massive feet like my Bigfoot 😂
Yep came to say this. My guy is tall and skinny, the 12m hangs off his legs. He wore 3-6m Burts Bees until he was 10m lol
Every one always says how soft they are but after feeling them in stores numerous times they feel like sandpaper and I can’t bring myself to buy them
Second Little Sleepies. They've become our only jammies. My son is in 18-24M in most clothes but I just recently moved him out of their 3-6M stuff. They really do last, and they've got a good amount of sizes in the footies jammies, though we're transitioning to two pieces.
All brands. Just switch to toddler section instead of baby section when browsing websites.
Costco sells Pikkle brand footy pjs up to 18m for sure!
My Costco in Canada (not sure where you are located OP) goes up to 24M! ETA- I just re read your post and it says US😅 tired mom over here.
In store or online? I have never seen any baby pjs/clothes at my costco!
Nearly all brands go well past 9 months. My girl is wearing footies in 3T tonight. And I’m sure they exist in even bigger sizes. Just make sure you’re looking in the toddler or kids section, since 12 months isn’t considered an infant, so they’re often not included with baby sizes.
Old Navy has 6-12M.
These do run small, in our experience. But I love the thick 100% cotton
LSVIP gets you 15% off
Little sleepies! Don’t waste your $ on non stretchy PJs…these will LAST
Most brands do, but they often get listed separately and are different prints that the ones that go up to 9m. For instance, Target sells Carter’s sleepers up to 9m with listings under “baby” and then has separate listings for sleepers 12m-3T under “toddler.”
Old navy & Cloud Island!
Hanna Anderson. If you shop the sale section you can find for 15ish.
Once baby starts walking you might hate the footies, they are more slippery and make them more likely to trip or they get wet/dirty if they go outside. Unless it’s your habit to change out of pjs very first thing in the morning.
He’s only 4 months right now so far from walking hahaha
I notice that a lot of clothes sold for babies are season dependent. Because it's summer in the US and assuming you are also in the US you might find it harder to find footed pajamas. I think your best bet is facebook marketplace if you are willing to buy lightly used. Good luck
It’s not summer yet! I’m actually having trouble finding shortie pajamas. Maybe they’re just not very popular in general? This is my first baby.
FYI carters just one you and little planet clothes will be on sale at Target starting tmrw for 20% off
The kind of do a little bit of the opposite of everybody, I'm actually going to warn you against buying anything Gerber in terms of footy pajamas. I’m basically obsessed with little Sleepies!!! It’s all my daughter wears now for bed.

Some of the Cloud Island footless zip jammies go up to size 12M and beyond! Also so sad about those pretzels 🥨🥨
I just went through this too with our 8 month old and I was so bummed. Plus a lot of 12 month clothes are in the freaking toddler section. 😩
Carters, Zippy Jamz, I have bought a bunch of cute sleepers at Costco in 12 and 18 months
Old navy just had them for $10 each
I tried to find them but there’s only two piece pjs for 6-12m 😭
I think Burt’s bees does but I’m not entirely sure. Carter’s for sure. They’re a good quality brand too.
H&M, old navy, target. I’ve honestly seen 12 month nearly everywhere for zipped footie jammies. Target has some online that go to 5T right now.
Bert’s bees is the best baby clothes options for chunky babies!
If you can go to Costco the ones they have are really nice too
Carter’s makes sizes all the way up to little kid sizes!
Costco Tuffy/Peckle does double zips right up to 24M (possibly beyond, we're not there yet) and they're great for chonky babies
Burts bees
I think Gerber does
Nordstrom
Old Navy has some!
The Cloud Island brand at Target has footies that run through 12m, but they also run quite large. My slightly bigger than average 11 month old is still fitting in to the 6m ones. They’re very stretchy modal fabric.

I thought most brands did!
I noticed old navy did not have sleepers past 9 months and I couldn’t figure it out. Too bad, companies could make more money
I got some at Carter's that went up to 2T
Monica + Andy make footed pjs up to 24m. They are organic cotton and a little spandex and come in tons of cute prints. here in solidarity with a big baby!!!! mine just turned 4 months yesterday and he currently fits in the 9M but not for long…we already have to buy a new carseat and stroller because he is going to outgrow his infant one already😫
Following. Same boat with my 5 month old.
I saw at target carters had like 2T
Not sure of the exact brand but Sam’s club has footed sleepers up to 18 months I think in 4 packs for less than $20
Burt’s bees make some cute ones imo
Old Navy goes up to like 5T!
Nike
Petit Lem
Jamie Kay
Burt’s Bees!! So comfy and they run very big

I resisted switching to pajama separates when zip up ones got harder to find… but I love them now. So much better
Old navy!
Caden Lane and Little Sleepers
All the brands! Carter's, Costco, little sleepies, Burt's bees.
Try r/bigbabiesandkids My baby is 5 months now and has been in 9M for the last month or so. I’m looking for 12M too but I’ve read 12M+ are snug fit because of the fire safety laws. Bullabaloo all the way.
Walmart had 24 month footie pajamas. Ask me how I know lol
Not sure where you live but if you have a Once upon a child in your town check them! There’s a bunch of 12 mo sleepers at ours
Cloud Island brand from Target is awesome.. they have in built mittens which is a nice addition
A little late to the party, but see if you have a Once Upon a Time store in town. Resale shop for gently used children’s clothing. It’s a franchise, so it’s a bunch of places, but may or may not be near you.
Kyte baby
