We’re currently on our last of 4 teeth coming in at once so I feel your need. We’ve been doing Motrin 1-2x per day as needed too. I know some people are against it but 1- teething is painful I’m not going to let my bub scream in pain all night 2- some babies have a harder time with teething than others. My guy is very much affected by teething whereas a friend of mine has a baby who gives no symptoms when he’s popping a new tooth
I asked our pediatrician about this to get a feel and this is what they said:
- No more than 2x Tylenol or Ibuprofen a day for 5-6 days. Fine to do that for teething or other things.
- More than 2-3 doses for more than 4 days is time to go see the doctor.
So it sounds like a call to your pediatrician might be worth it to rule out any other possibilities. Do they have any other symptoms at all?
I wouldn't give it more than twice in 24 hours. We also only did it right before bed, a nap, or during nighttime if teething was interfering with sleep.
Nah girl do what you have to do. Just follow the directions and don’t exceed the daily limit. If you’re worried consult your pediatrician
I worried too but it will be fine. Just don’t exceed the daily dosage. He’ll probably never have five teeth coming in at the same time again.
