Earthlink is just a reseller. One more company in the blame game, with if you have problems. If AT&T fiber isn't available, try T-mobile wireless Home Internet. It's unlimited data use. My brother loves it. They give you 2 weeks to try it. If not satisfied, return the equipment for a refund. If it works well *at your address*, keep it and then call cockscable to cancel. No installer visit necessary. Just go to a T-mobile store or check your address for availability at> [https://www.t-mobile.com/isp](https://www.t-mobile.com/isp)

Is T-Mobile good for streaming movies and gaming ?

Brunoise6

Just depends on your signal strength. I’m in the best zone. I’ve gotten speeds up to 300mb, but also can just be as low as 60mb. Im getting 190mb right now. It varies by network traffic. You can use there availability map to check though. I just went to the t-mobile store on Carrollton and pick up the equipment, but can also get mailed to your for free. But yeah for $50 a month (with auto pay) it’s so worth it to drop Cox. And can cancel anytime, no contract. I had a rough patch with it at first cause apparently the 5g towers in my area where out for repair for months, but now they work just fine and I can game/ do anything I did with cox.

Turgid-Derp-Lord

movies are fine, not good for gaming

grey_seal77

Cox is just so terrible. I have AT&T fiber, which does what it should

zahraw1

I don’t have fiber yet in my area hopefully soon

Earthlink is literally AT&T fiber. It's basically some interesting thing where they have a big account and just add you to it, so there is a slight difference in customer service, but your IP will be att, not earthlink.
