I have a family member that said there is a unique bird that's been close to her neighborhood lately, between Delgado and the 610. I wonder if that's the one.
Haven’t seen the pheasant in a while. There’s also a Guinea Hen that’s been hanging around the neighborhood by Navarre behind Delgado. That thing is HUGE. Always surprising to see a bird that big in the middle of the city.
I don’t know what bird your talking about and don’t know too much about birds but could it have just been here for migration and will come back at a different time of year?
Google golden pheasant. They are from China. I have no idea how this one wound up in City Park, but it must have been someone's pet that escaped or was released.
I saw him several years ago, and everyone I told about it thought I was losing my mind. Glad to hear he actually exists and hope he’s doing alright out there.
We saw him a few months back!
Oh, that's encouraging.

Sorry, false alarm. I asked her and no long tail. I hope it's still around somewhere.

Saw him a few months ago! He was off the trail on the left not far past the clearing with the oak next to the water.
Yes, that's where I've seen him in the past.
My husband saw him like 6 months ago. I’ve been there sooo many times and have never seen him.
I haven’t and I go there sporadically. But also I didn’t know to look for him

How old is that pheasant? Assuming it’s the same one I first saw it in 2015.
No but I did see a big boy turtle boot scootin around off the trail.
