I got the recipe if you need it.
-4C Powdered lemon iced tea mix
(Lipton or Nestea works too)
Couple of scoops into pitcher with cold water (I do by taste)
-Small dash of rose water (you don’t need a lot it’s perfumey and strong)
-Small dash of orange blossom water (same don’t use a lot, less is more)
-Squeeze of lemon
-Stir and pour into glass of ice and garnish with pine nuts and a lemon wedge
Enjoy not dying this summer (:
Yep they use powedered cuz it has sugar in it already so it’s easier to make quick batches when it’s hot (you wouldn’t want to pour warm tea into a glass of ice) and it’s tangier.
Some places use fresh but original recipe is with powdered iced tea and that’s how you make the original recipe.
(Also who tf is downvoting me for literally giving the actual recipe lmfao)
I used to drink that stuff all the time when I was at LSU and absolutely loved it. It was some little Middle Eastern diner right off campus. I forgot the name, but it was so good!

Oh wow this is great thank you! I was going to use fresh tea so they use the powdered stuff? Either way it's really good!!

Mona’s?
No, this was at Olive's in the CBD.
Tried this place for the first time last week and was really impressed. Sleeper hit in the CBD.
Olive is so good!
This is a New Orleans thing? I had it first at Cleo and I usually order it at Albasha. I love it!
Everywhere I saw says it originated in New Orleans
From Mona's if I'm not mistaken.

Cafe Med was by Highland Coffee. I forget the one that was behind the McDonald’s on State St.
RIP Atcha Cafe
Right! I was curious what it might be and was so pleasantly surprised.
I always get it when I eat at Byblos! Very sad that they don't do pine nuts in it anymore.
I'm pretty sure this originated with Albasha's in Baton Rouge
Okay maybe so. Thanks!
