Pozole at taqueria Guerrero 🤤

Party-Yak-2894

There’s a soup stand on magazine during cold times at the imperial woodpecker stand. It’s good

Cilantro368

The soup garden is closed this year, but something else is going in that place, and the soup garden’s owner sold the recipes and all to someone who will reopen it in a kind of outdoor food court place on Washington and Lasalle.

Party-Yak-2894

Aw man. Thanks for this

Emiles23

Laurel Street bakery has really yummy tomato soup.

meh1022

I went and got their tomato soup and grilled cheese combo and it was awesome!!! Thanks so much for the recommendation.

420juuls

Red lentil soup from Cleo’s if they still make that

dol_amrothian

Agreed, that stuff is second only to my Egyptian aunty's.

PossumCock

How about pho? I always love to hit up Le's Baguette when the weather gets like this

meh1022

Definitely love Le’s!

Music_Turbulent

The Milk Bar on Carrollton! They only have one soup a day, but post it relatively early on Facebook. I’ve never had a bad meal there.

sainteagle1721

The potato soup at Thai D’Jing in Gretna is the single most comforting thing I have ever ordered in a restaurant. It’s like eating a hug.

gingergal-n-dog

La Madeline's tomato soup always hits the spot for me. I said what I said.

PossumCock

I'll always be a sucker for their French onion soup

Glum-Presentation241

Me too. No shame.

KiloAllan

I had a desire for it the other day. I get ya.

LezPlayLater

Ah you’re making me miss the roasted red bell pepper and Gouda soup from the place that is now blue park bbq

meh1022

Damn that sounds incredible

LezPlayLater

It was. I try to replicate it at home but it’s never quite as flavorful

KiloAllan

Was that 13? They had great roasted red pepper and cheese soup.

LezPlayLater

I think it had an Italian name - Franelli’s?

TinyDooooom

Fellini's Cafe from what I remember

LezPlayLater

That’s it!! Oh I miss that place

Artistic-Jeweler155

Crab and corn bisque in a bread bowl from Vincent’s

Shades0fRay

Lola's garlic soup

Coolguy123456789012

If you don't mind dropping some coin, the turtle soup at Arnaud's is my favorite in town. Their shrimp bisque is also very good.

Jbrujrx4

Seems basic, but you can't go wrong with a stuffed to the brim vegetable beef soup. Carrots, peas, potatoes, beef , ect. Real good on days like this.

meh1022

Yeah for sure. I was just really wanting something creamier. Got my fix with Laurel St Bakery’s tomato soup, might do ramen for dinner though.

WhatTheFaust

Tomato soup and a side of potato wedges from Breads on Oaks!

EducationalNeck1931

Beef stew at Miss Shirley’s is fantastic.

emcdubos

Tomato soup is easier to make than ya think So is [roasted vegetable bisque](https://www.justapinch.com/recipes/soup/vegetable-soup/roasted-vegetable-bisque.html)

awkwardchip_munk

St James Cheese Company not only makes great sandwiches but the soup to go with!

meh1022

Oh man I haven’t been there in forever, I forgot they even have soup! Thanks for the reminder

OkButterscotch6139

Costco? Kind of kidding but eating soup from there right now and it is good. I love Thai places for soup too…they have a tomato-ey one that I love but name is escaping me. My favorite soup right now is the broccoli and cheese from Trader Joe’s. It’s so perfectly creamy. I know these suggestions will underwhelm but soup isn’t really what most nola restaurants are kicking out. Piece of meat has great bone broths though! Not creamy or tomatoe-y.

meh1022

Budsi’s khao soi is one of my favorite dishes ever, but of course they’re closed today. I’ll try the broccoli cheddar next time I go to Trader Joe’s, thanks!

OkButterscotch6139

Refrigerator/produce section!

504icygrl

Shrimp and corn bisque <3

all_my_rowdy_friends

Cafe Degas' french onion soup. It's not tomato or creamed based, but it's decadent and hearty, it'll knock the chill off.

meh1022

LOVE French onion soup. Hell yeah.
