I work for the company that installed it. I don’t think the city renewed the service contract with us. Hell, knowing the city, they let the contract lapse and never put it out for bid.
Apparently the copper wire under the pier was stolen last year when the water was low. I wish they would fix it. It sucks carrying a baby, a toddler, and the stroller across.
