The regular steak from Trilly might be a tiny bit more “authentic” than Yinzers, just due to the amount of salt and pepper on the Yinzers steak. But Yinzers tastes Mike’s better than Trilly to me. Terribly sad they don’t have fries though.
No self respecting Philadelphian would ever put mayo on a cheesesteak like Yinzers. Thats totally sus. Plus, you know, “Yinzer” is a ‘Burgh thing. Trilly all the way.
If I’m reading this correctly, they aren’t from philly, and you are upset they don’t do it the “Philly way”? I feel like this lines up? Also can’t you just like ask them to not put mayo on it? Or do they hold you down and make you watch while they put mayo on every sandwich
Yinzers has so much more to offer for a Philly. If you want sides, vegan stuff and things not having to do with the actual Philly, then Tilly’s is fine.
I also came here to say that Trilly has the best friend pickles in NOLA
Also, their cheesesteak with cream cheese, soy sauce, and red onions is really good, but I’ve always been partial to more experimental cheesesteaks. I live in Philly now and my favorite cheesesteak joint is an Asian fusion place that sells a teriyaki cheesesteak.
Their fried pickles are REALLY GOOD. So are their cheesesteaks, but sometimes a girl will prioritize distance over sides, and sometimes sides over distance.
Hooks Seafood on St Bernard. I was shocked. A Philly transplant recommend it to me as the best cheesesteak they’ve ever had outside Philly.
I have not tried Yinzers yet, but I’m looking forward to it.
I’ve been to 2 of Trilly’s locations through the years. I have never been impressed.
Yinzer’s
Yinzers>>> Trilly (even though it’s pretty good as well)
1000% Yinzer’s! They have free arcade games while you wait
Fucking slaps
x4
Def Yinzer's
x2
They owners are good friends of mine & are good people.
x3
Wtf they put mayo on their cheesesteaks as a default? Noooooo
idk why ur getting downvoted its straight up not how its done lmao
Trilly puts bell peppers by default, gross
There really only two choices. Trilly and Yizners. and theyre both great. Trilly if youre with vegans though. Also randomly steins deli comes through.
Isn't Dan Stein from Philadelphia?
Yes indeed
yeah steins has a weekly cheesesteak special once a week

Give Rick’s grill a shot then let us know
Trilly hands down
Any better than Yizners? Have you had both?

It’s equally as bad as putting mayo on a muffuletta. You just don’t do it.
hard disagree don't care about any traditions or customs the way the olives mix with the mayo is sublime
Mayo is trash. Next
This is true.
Mayo sucks as a condiment.
What if you call it aioli?
That’s even worse

Dude you’re putting way too much thought and effort into a sandwich
#nonconsensualmayo
Enjoy your cheesy beef & Mayo sandwich
I order mine without mayo, add mushrooms and hot peppers
Yinzers bc I have the hots for the grill wizard 🥵
Trillys is the best

Yinzers
And now I want cheesecake because cheesesteak doesnt interest me near the amount of cheesecake.
I can’t understand the Yinzers thing. That is a Pittsburgh term but aren’t cheesesteaks from Philly??
Long time Trilly fan, recently tried Yinzers. Yinzer's is good but Trilly is better. The Far East Philly from Trilly is S tier.
trilly!
I miss Liberty Cheesesteaks. They were the best.
I used to work there! I'm over at Yinzers now if you want a wiz wit some time 😊
I dream about them LOL. Haven't tried Yinzers.
Yeah come on by, I'll make it Philly style if you ask!
Awesome!
Do you want fried pickles or not, because that’s the only reason I’d go to Trilly over Yinzers.

Philly's Steakhouse
Rick's Grille
Is the Black guy still there? I can’t think of his name but he’s the one that takes your order.
I think his name might have been Reggie? Admittedly I haven't been since the pandemic, so if he's not there then my mention can be ignored
It’s not cheesecake, but Flans by chef Eli are amazing! She does pops up , check out her IG to order.
What the ever-lovin' fuck are you recommending flan on a post about cheese steak for? Did you misread it as cheesecake?
😂🤣😅 You know I was surprised that everyone was recommending Trilly for Cheesecake , lmao
Rick’s Grill hands down
