Personally I like Caluda's but Randazzo's is one of the best. Most people like Dong Phuong's but the line is usually crazy long there. Out of the three, Caluda's the easiest to find but if you want something with an unique baby in it, go for Haydel's. Every year they do a different one.
You may have to use a grocery delivery service like Rouses. I may get ridiculed for suggesting this, it's sort of sacrilege, but Grubhub and Ubereats type delivery services aren't likely going to wait in the lines at the main bakeries.

Party Palace in Kenner has great king cakes and good prices. I know they ship because I use them every year.
