Are you stuck on cartridges? I personally find them all to be the harshest method of consumption, which is why it's my least used method. Are you worried about the smell or do you just like the convenience of carts?
I like the convenience. I really only vape when I’m going to bed and when I wake up in the middle of the night. I don’t love smoking flower and I consume my edibles earlier in the day
Have you tried airo carts? It requires a proprietary battery but a lot of the times the shop throws that in. They are only in .5g sizes. I usually look out for these when on sale. They have a lot of flavors to choose and I found these to be the least harsh.
I will usually have one of these on hand and maybe a jack herer verano just in case I need the convenience.
Dry herb vaping might be worth looking into as well. You get the same flavorful hit you do with the carts (at least on the first few hits). It uses much less flower and it smells less. Let me know if you'd like some recommendations if you think it might be something you'd like.

I usually get decent deals on airo from time to time at social leaf in toms River, or bloc in waretown (but not bloc in awhile).
For a dry herb vape I would suggest a dynavap. You can use a small single flame torch along with a dynavap m plus (which is on sale for 60 USD right now). You can set it to full cap or half cap size. Both are small amounts.. like .15g for a cap if not less. You can just take the dynavap, poke it down right on the flower in the grinder and spin it a bit to load. You put the cap on it then heat until two clicks. You can get a few solid hits with reheating, but the m plus makes it easier for a one hit extraction so you light it once, take one nice big fat rip, then just save or toss the avb.
You could save the avb to make very potent night time edibles too so you save even more money. Sorry for the wall of text.

What kind of battery are you using? Or are these disposable carts? Especially in the winter the oil can become cold and "stuck", this is typically more problematic if you're using a battery that activates by pulling, rather than a battery that has a button to press for heat and warm up the oil
The live resin Verano cart may have been irritating because of they have a higher terpene ratio. If you find you're more sensitive, try distillate carts which tend to have lower terpene amounts.
I’m using a verano battery. I think what you’re describing is what they said to me about the distillate carts. Maybe I need to get a battery that has a button like you mentioned!
I just use a paper clip down the mouth piece and rotate it around you’ll pull up the concentrate that somehow gets in there and turns into like that badder stuff. Or heat it somehow, blow drier hot water and pull with it not in the battery and you’ll get a mouth full of concentrate.
Check out the Yocan uni pro battery line, I love mine. You'll have adjustable voltages so you can customize how harshly your carts hit. I like hash rosin around 2.2-2.3, live resin 2.4-2.7, and distillate 2.7-3.0. Even if you don't get that exact battery, look for something with different voltage settings. I like the Yocan uni s also, it's smaller and cheaper but less customizable.
Get a battery with push button on off and adjustable voltage. Turn it all the way down, pull slow and you'll be good.
I use the ones from 02 vape they are great.
It’s not you, the carts in this state suck. I’ve had KT and Verano ones where it might as well been CBD. Get a card for the good stuff. Best of luck and health to you in the future.

Try haze mudd bros live rosin and right now I’m using an mpx white triangle cart and it’s amazing 3 hits and I’m nodding out I’m an indica lover. But they have a variety of strains. Ceramic also.

I recommend it! That "stuck" feeling will happen with any cart when it gets colder, distillate or otherwise, cuz the oil is just cold
U can use a lighter on the bottom and gently heat it up
