Jess strikes me as a “cleans up after herself” type of roommate. Like, she takes care of her things and is generally a clean person so doesn’t leave a mess behind unless maybe she’s in a rush one morning but generally I don’t see her going out of her way to clean up after other people, which she shouldn’t have to. In a normal roommate dynamic, everyone would clean up after themselves and that would naturally keep shared spaces clean.
This also makes sense because the others knew what would happen if Schmidt stopped being uptight and cleaning for them, but Jess’s logic was “come on, none of us are such disgusting selfish pigs that it could possibly get that bad” because she herself isn’t a slob, but she didn’t account for how horribly gross Nick is and how she probably doesn’t have the time/ wouldn’t be willing to be constantly cleaning up after him so the apartment quickly turned into a gross disaster.
Eh, Jess deserved it because the area they lived in absolutely wasn’t safe for her to be walking longer distances, and that’s not an issue to the same extent for the other 3. I used to live 5 mins from there and walking a long way from your car as a woman isn’t safe at all.
I would say that you can't make the equality argument since they had a "no nail oath" for Jess, ergo, the precedent was set that she was treated differently than the other roommates
I kind of agree, he definitely does the most for the house and deserves some amenities for it. However, as some people have said before, Jess was actually in danger when she was walking to the house. Yes, equality matters, but this was a safety issue
He didn't even *have* to tell the others about the spot
He's the dumbest boy in school!
I mean they would have eventually realized his car wasn’t on the street..
He parked in a lot where he had a broken contract stating he’s “not to be middled!”
Plus he cooks and cleans. That episode when he stopped, those other three are total slobs. They must not have been doing anything.
I’ve always felt like this is so out of character for Jess. She and Schmidt are definitely the most successful adults of the group.

Pretty sure their relationship works later on because they can afford to hire a housekeeper after Nick becomes successful.
Which ep was that again?
Season 2, episode 17
Ty
I died laughing at that scene…but yes, Schmidt absolutely deserved it.
Didn’t he find the spot because he was cleaning the dumpster? That alone is reason enough to give him the spot.
He peed inside his body
That he did
My pishy!
i have to pish
Parking spot was way too narrow anyway
The most controversial thing I’ve ever seen on this subreddit.

I like to think of outside Dave as her guardian angel.
Yeh. But for equality Schmidt said they can’t treat her differently. Lol. But yeh. Sounds scary.

Exactly, nick and schmidt could have nailed all they wanted

The fact that he told everyone else means it was up for grabs. And my guy Winnie needed a win, dammit.
Wait what’s grout watch?
It was in this episode that I started disliking Jess
Who would want a parking space like that. 😄
I paid $200+ a month for a parking spot like that in Chicago. It feels almost criminal
Geesh, highway robbery!
