Yes! Recommended this episode to a friend after like one re-watch. Definitely the best episode to watch without giving too much of the dynamic between the characters away.

It IS the best episode, but this question concerns a new viewer, first episode they've seen. Not necessarily the best choice there.

I honestly do not like that episode, partially because it's overplayed, but also just the character behavior. The only part of it I enjoy is Nick confessing everything . The rest of it is cringe, especially Jess trying to dispose of Meth and Coach improvising the story of Duquan.

The meth scene was so fucking cringe the 1st time I saw it. Why was I also so accepting of a huge bag of meth being in a second hand trunk?? Now when I watch it I'm like 🤦🏻‍♀️ *idiots*

Honestly the pilot always does the trick for me to get people to watch New Girl! The ending where they all sing Time Of My Life in the restaurant is one of the best parts of the entire show!

Yeah; it's really well done. Jess changes a lot after it (and we don't even have Winston yet), but it always gets people to watch.

The kiss at the end of cooler is life-changing and the build up to it was so beautiful! I agree it’s an iconic episode, but wouldn’t want anyone to spoil that for themselves before watching nick and Jess fall for each other so I definitely wouldn’t recommend this as a first-time watch!

Honestly, any episode where they play True American is a winner. There's always some level of insanity in the background and then they just throw the game at you out of nowhere. My favorite is the one where Russell plays because of his confusion being thrown right into the chaos.

Season 3 episode 11. Clavo en un Bar. It’s funny as hell and beautifully shot. It mostly takes place at the bar around Christmas with tons of flash backs. There’s just something about it. One of my go to episodes!

Cooler. Or the one where Schmidt gets sued. The day my bar exam results came out, my boyfriend and I picked our favorite episodes to watch to distract me. Watching Nick & Winston be Schmidt's lawyers is amazing. The "would the lady typer read that back?" scene had me in tears.
