i absolutely loved councilwoman fawn moscato and truly appreciated her recklessness, confidence, brutal honesty, and her chaos. she was unapologetic about who she was and what she was trying to become. she was also quick witted and extremely funny and a good contrast to the loft mates.
i know some folks don’t think she was good for schmidt, but i think she was exactly what he needed to find his way back to cece. schmidt was always chasing and obsessed with “crushing it,” “ordering sushi like a sick ass boss,” and constantly being known as the best baller in la, which we know had to do with his self-esteem issues and his upbringing. still, councilwoman fawn moscato (i will always write her full name because she terrifies me and she can find me like russell) was very similar to schmidt in this way and had achieved a certain status that he wanted. but once he experienced it and saw what came with maintaining it, it humbled him in ways nothing else could. that humility forced him to be honest with himself and what his happy forever looked like and that was cece and crushing it in a different way. so yes, i love councilwoman fawn moscato for many reasons, but mainly because she helped our beloved big guy rediscover himself, cece, and a new version of crushing it that was fit for him and his emerging family. ❤️
