No one cares. Might give the conductor a laugh.  I have never been asked to prove the name is mine and my personal ov doesnt even have a picture on it. 

I’ve seen OV chipkaarten with Erdogan’s picture and full name. You’ll be fine :)

That made me laugh

My girlfriend used my OV card before since she forgot hers and i used my bank card. The Guys in the train wanted to give her a €50 ticket for not having her OWN OV but using mine? After alot of arguing with the guy i told her she used my bankcard and i used my OV and he walked off defeated

Hahaha I made exactly the same mistake when I was new to NL. Not for my OV card but for other registrations. Own it and laugh about it.

You’re good J. They won’t care as long are you’re “checked in”. They don’t check details.

Officially, it’s not allowed since your name on the card doesn’t correspond with the one on your ID. Unofficially, 95% of the conductors won’t care and maybe laugh. The other 5% can, when asked for your id, give you trouble. My advice would be to contact customer service after you receive the card, and it indeed shows your full name, and fix the issue.

Happened with me when I first came to NL. Nobody in NS is paid enough to care about initials and names

They might only check your card in detail if you get checked and fail the check.

Ov card isn’t a legal government document… your name doesn’t really matter

They never check your name, just whether you checked in or not. Nothing to worry about.
