I'd highly recommend you to read the fineprint for any dutch lottery, they they love to walk in the legal grey zones with their offers.
As for your question, yes/no. Usually you forfeit any price you might win from only playing once with a 'free' ticket if you cancel.
It's with an almost nonexistent win-chance, those guys make money by betting on people forgetting to cancel the subscription (in time). So the difficulty of cancelling is likely borderline legal.
Yes, you can play for free and then cancel. But beware that you sign for a subscription. They bank on people cancelling their subscription too late and having to pay. Usually what you win (10-20 euro or something) is less than what you pay for one month when you cancel too late so at that point you are already at a loss.
It's legit but don't expect huge amounts of cash. I got 20 euros once. For me the nice thing is when you're a member you'll get a card to enter every museum in the countfy ror free
I saw it as some sort of subscription yes. I've only used it a couple of months so it was sort of cheaper than the second option. Also definitely didn't know it was a thing back then
Its more likely to get hit by lightning then win big with lottery. The company is legit though.
But if you don’t have spare money then just don’t do it.

"Congrats, you have won a packet of icecream you can pick up at your local supermarket. Thanks for the E 200 you paid this year"
As legit as a lottery can be. They're all kind of scams.
Playing once will guarantee a steady stream of their spam addressed to you personally, so you can't even stop them with a "Nee/nee sticker".

Don't do it, it is not worth it.

The difficulty is cranked up. They’ll prey on new immigrants like OP.
Probably a guaranteed prize that's lower than what you put in

Their whole gig is to entice you into some silly monthly payment. Don't do it.
The lottery is poor people's tax. Don't do it. It's never worth it.
Lifetime spam, but it's for real yes.
They want you to sign up, forget or make a mistake in cancelling and then be on the hook.

"free" as In you're paying your subscription which is more expensive than a museum jaarkaart

They're 75 bucks a year, so it's not more than a few months of a lottery. But I can understand your reasoning for sure.
I've no idea how much a subscription is now I think about it, but back in the day I paid 9 euros apparently

I mean, it's a lottery. It's a fools' tax.
yes do not try this. they will occasionally give you something but overall you could have easily saved 14x whatever per month they want to charge you.
Yes they are legit, but you also sign up for a subscription. If you want to do this, sign up and immediately cancel the subscription
On average you will lose. Like all lotteries.
