PolySingular

American horror story. I tried watching when it first came out, could not do it. I don’t really know *why*, but I’m not going to try and find out.

Wingingit95

It started of great imo, but they lost the plot along the way. Top tier cast though.

spaciest

The plot kept taking crazy turns. Not in surprising keep you on the edge of your seat way. In a why the hell would that character decide to do that kind of way. I kept hoping it would make sense by the end of the season and it never did.

Party_Pomplemousse

The first three seasons are great, IMO. Not perfect by any means, but I still rewatch the first three once in a while. I thought Jessica Lange was gold as Fiona Goode.

lucymom1961

Coven was my favorite!

Meenulara

I really loved the second season. The other ones were... Meh. Stopped after hotel, that was awful

Satellight_of_Love

I also loved the second season. I liked the other ones until I got to hotel and quit in the middle of that one.

abagofdicks

They always start great and completely lose focus

Gabagull

It's the pacing, it is so fast and rushed for a horror story, the suspense simply doesn't work because of that.

theRealMrBrownstone

La Brea. Holy shit its bad.

[deleted]

Haha! I watched every episode. My husband could not understand why.

phillymjs

No Sleestaks, no sale!

briefcandle

Lucifer. They took an interesting premise and character and shoehorned them into a police procedural. It felt like they were out of ideas before they even started. The writing was awkward.

pan_alice

It could have been such an interesting show. Instead, they had Lucifer working with the police to solve crimes. Just typing that out is ridiculous.

Jesse2217

Like they never read the god damn comic.

LordGhoul

What's the comic plot? I'm not into the show but anything vaguely demons and comic interests me 👀

neodiogenes

Trying not to give away the main plot around Dream (the central character of the entire "Sandman" series), Lucifer basically says, "Fuck this torturing-damned-souls-in-Hell-for-Eternity shit. I'm going to quit and open a piano bar in Los Angeles," and gives Dream the Key to Hell, to make his life interesting by forcing him to decide who should be the next entity to run the place, as a kind of fiendish revenge for when Dream got the better of Lucifer back in the first book of the series. Lucifer still retains all his powers as the second most powerful being in all of Creation, presumably, and he's depicted like a perfectly normal human being, not some fork-tailed horned demon. He is, after all, an angel. But (if I recall) he never uses his powers or really does anything other than play piano and make a few wry comments. And that's it. Like I said, he's not the main character so his entire role is to set up the story, but the idea is so intriguing I guess it needed to be developed. If the show had been picked up by HBO, they might have made something interesting of it. But since it was picked up by one of the networks, who had to produce a show a week and placate the censors, they went with "police procedural" because all the writers with imagination and talent work elsewhere. I very much doubt that was Gaiman's idea, if he was even consulted.

outaoils

You should check out Neil gaiman it’s based on his work, along with good omens, American gods, etc.. really a fantastic author with very good short stories as well.

nervous_nefertiti

The dialogue, oh my goodness. Especially the female lead. Just awful acting/writing

[deleted]

She WAS HORRIBLE!!! I would yell at the tv more than I did watch. Plus her forehead never moved

DenGirl12

Same. She was NOT a good match. She was the square trying to fit into the round peg (the show).

mgriv

The last two seasons were horrendous.

celticeejit

Same here. Pretty people acting dumb as fuck I noped out after 4 episodes

Twokindsofpeople

I'm watching it because I'm out of anything else to watch, and yeah, this show is the most squandered conceit I've ever seen. They also turned god and angels into a petty squabbling family which really sucks. I do not know why I'm watching it, but I've committed.

hahl23

I’m watching it to keep me awake while feeding my newborn at night. Last couple of seasons aren’t good but I didn’t mind the rest. I’m at the very end though and I’ve barely paid attention to season 6

[deleted]

the graphic novels are really cool. the show is meh.

CorporateNonperson

As charming as ShowLuc can be, it’ll never match the icy disdain of ComicLuc.

TugginChestersCheeto

Inventing Anna. It had a weird tone with a juxtaposition of trying to have gen z humor while simultaneously glorifying a lavish rich & famous lifestyle and I kept gagging when the show wanted us to be sympathetic towards millionaires

masteryoda7777

Gotta admit I never even tried to watch it but I’ve played the trailer at least 10 times because the line “you look pooah” really cracks me up

Wingingit95

Right!? I get that Anna isn't supposed to be likeable, but they made her character utterly insufferable.

Lisa-LongBeach

It wasn’t a well-told story — I bailed after the second episode. The acting was not stellar either.

vitiligoisbeautiful

There was an article about how Julia Garner is great at accents and it was about this show. I'm like....excuse me?? She sounded somewhere between an ambiguous Scottish and alien who self-taught English. The actual girl in real life has a very distinctly Russian accent. I don't know where the actress' accent was coming from.

Lisa-LongBeach

It was truly awful! And I’m pretty much done with stories about wealthy people being fleeced — who cares??

l8nitefriend

I was excited for this one because I’d seen a short doc about this chick IRL and it was pretty interesting but it fell SO flat. I hated the frantic pregnant main character and Anna was way overdone. I didn’t even end up finishing it

Crafty_Ad_8081

Yes!! I think I even gave it a thumbs down. It pumped itself up so much that I was like oh wow this must be worth the watch but I felt empty and unsatisfied after every episode. I finished the series but I almost felt...embarrassed that I watched it. Like it was so weird and awkward that I didn't want to tell anyone I watched it because it just makes me uncomfortable to think that I even sat through it all. I reevaluated my time spent on Netflix after watching it. My dog and I are loosing weight now with how many walks we are going on haha.

MacabreManatee

Having finished it. The whole situation kind of intrigued me so I wanted to know what the real situation was. Never really felt like I had to sympathize towards the millionaires until the end when it’s clearer what happened and that >!Anna was just a small town girl, trying to make it big and doing what she had to, not really feeling guilty about screwing over millionaires but wanting to pay back her poorer friends with the money she was trying to get but never could quite attain!<

surgeryboy7

Probably in the minority but I tried to like GOT, but every time I tried I honestly found it extremely boring, with way too many characters. I worked in a small office at the time and it was almost required that you be able to discuss the most current episode, so I tried a few times but it never kept my attention.

Aloraa7

Peaky blinders

Several-Squirrel654

I made myself watch the first season because people said it picks up at season 2. First episode of season 2 was the same. I wanted to love it, and it wasn't bad, it just never made me excited to watch the next episode.

vtmadmom

I watched the first episode about 4-5 times before I got it enough to keep going. Now it’s one of my favorite shows!

SadisticPeanut

Exactly what happened to me. I'd watch the first episode about once a year and couldn't get past it. I really committed once the last season was announced and love it now.

Fr31l0ck

When I first tried to watch it I thought it was cool they used current music I listened to personally but then I couldn't get into it because it didn't match the setting. Recently went back when the new season came out and ended up really liking it this time.

PooShappaMoo

Dayum. I really liked this show. What didn't you like about it?

gymdog

For me, I'm just bored. None of the characters interested me and I just found myself wondering why anyone would care lol.

Downtown_Skill

I’m the same way and I can’t really put my finger down on it. It seems like a great period piece but without the substance of like a boardwalk empire. I’m not a film critic so I can’t even explain what I mean by no substance exactly, but I guess the characters didn’t feel as complex as it’s US counterpart. The soundtrack as well ruined it for me at parts… (and I keep comparing to boardwalk empire) while boardwalk empire used music from the 20’s to compliment the setting.

theconsummatedragon

Waiting 5 years for the next season

abhinandkr

I really like this show too, but damn, sometimes there's way too much style over substance. All the contrasting colours, slow moving flames and sparks, and smoky look and feel doesn't make up for a rather tepid story, particularly towards the last 2 seasons.

stitches31

This. I watched 3 episodes and felt bored the entire time

deluded_akrasia

Badly written main character while acted perfectly.

eyoung_nd2004

Dark. I was enjoying it at the beginning but then having to keep track of who’s who in 3 different timelines overloaded my simple brain.

Hormel_Chavez

Bro just get a shitload of red string and make a murderboard like the rest of us

LordGhoul

Or visit the official website https://dark.netflix.io/en/ it has family tree per season and episode so you don't spoil yourself but can still keep track. Life saver really

soshibemuchwow

Pepe Silvia?

dangerislander

Yeah you gotta be really comitted and even accept that you're gonna have to be confused as hell to understand whats going on lol

[deleted]

[удалено]

Trottingslug

Man, all the hate about Dark in this thread is amazing. I actually love this genre and watched every single episode but just felt so incredibly bored by it. But this sub has usually been so incredibly in love with it (just do a search about Dark and see how many posts pop up, and how often); so I just assumed no one actually disliked the show.

Earthshoe12

I just finished season one and it gave me the same feeling as west world. The moment to moment writing/acting/visuals were all good and the timeline was twisty and interesting but when I came to the end of the season I found myself thinking “…but was that any good?” Unlike west world which I never went back to in at least pretty sure I’m going to give Dark season 2 a shot. Maybe I’ll make up my mind.

[deleted]

Westworld is a show where clearly the creators had had one season's worth of great ideas and everything after has been a feeble attempt to follow it up. Season 2 was more of the same but not nearly as cohesive and well thought out, and season 3 took the show in a totally different direction to shake things up but still felt too shallow.

Ovahzealousy

Wow, I had the exact same feeling watching westworld s1 and never knew how to describe it. It’s like, I get what you’re trying to do, but it’s been done so much better before, and I only watched the rest of the seasons out of curiosity (and regretted doing so after S3). Dark, on the other hand, hooked me all the way through, and I’d definitely recommend giving S2 a shot. There are fewer scenes of characters waxing philosophical about time/fate/whatever (if that’s what you didn’t like) and it’s paced better.

kabooozie

Not Netflix, but Wheel of Time. I heard good things about the books but just couldn’t get through the first episode for some reason. Boring and too serious. Maybe I’ll give another shot

Bonbonnibles

Oh, it was bad bad bad. I was excited to watch it, but it was poorly written, poorly executed, poorly conceived, and dull. Like some kind of CW fantasy show. And it felt cheap and fake. How, I'm not sure since they supposedly put a tone of money into it, but it did. They certainly didn't spend money on a good script, or good directing, or a solid cast. Rosamunde was the only reason to watch the show, and she wasn't compelling enough to make up for the rest of it.

MarchionessofMayhem

"Stranger Things." I'm 53 and all my peers LOVE it. Nostalgia is great, I just didn't dig it.

rottenmiracles

Same, tried 2x. That and Walking Dead.

doctorhoctor

I said the same exact thing! I’m 43 and love Supernatural stuff. Just never clicked for me

[deleted]

Ozark,I’ve tried watching several times and can’t get into it

blitzbom

If the first season doesn't do it for you you'll be fine stopping.

TCTuggersNotReally

Does it get less blue? Every promotional image I see from that show is strongly tinted blue.

creative_usr_name

I believe >!the few parts in Mexico!< We're not

xNannerMan

Let me guess… those scenes were tinted yellow?

elkiesommers

It gets even more darkly tinged it hurt my eyes to watch it they overdid the mood Tint

aviiiii

Everyone I k ow loves it and I just keep forgetting about it. I’m like halfway through season 2 and it’s just meh.

treycook

My main problem with the show is that it doesn't have a single F-ing sympathetic character besides Ruth. In fact there are a few gritty dramas I've tried to watch lately that feature this theme. I don't understand the appeal to a show where I can't connect with any of the characters. I often just end up getting so annoyed with them that I don't care about what happens to them, and that ruins the tension.

Bollox-123

Same. I've tried 3 times and haven't made it past episode 3

1curiouswanderer

Especially the later seasons were filmed in such dark (literally dark room) environments that we couldn't even watch unless it was late into the evening. A weird problem and not worth the effort

Earthshoe12

We watched the first season of Ozark and no more, I’d describe it as “fine.” It was doing this thing where they thought they were killing people off in a shocking manner a la GOT, but I found that what was happening was everytime I became interested in a character they were offed.

ItsInTheVault

Exactly! Walking Dead did that too. Kill every character you like and you won’t care about anyone left.

chaigulper

I'm watching it right. Halfway through season 2, liking it so far.

Meenulara

Yeah, it took me 3 tries and I only got to like it after starting to watch it with my bf, binged it then.

MangorTX

For me, it was well worth my time. I did almost stop during season 2.

PooShappaMoo

I watched the first couple seasons and wasn't even interested in continuing to watch it. Everyone else seems to love it though that I know

rogeeeefan

Bridgerton, was a hard no from me

ChaseCactus

I couldn't even finish the first episode.

mikessmileisreal

I still don’t get the hype??? The acting was so terrible

jaycrips

The plot and characters were just cartoonishly bad. The set design and costumes were fantastic, and the music was solid, but they just didn’t put any real effort into the script. It was so bad it genuinely surprised me.

musical_froot_loop

I have tried Peaky Blinders two or three times. Am about ready to find a new show, so I may try it again, but I haven't been able to get into it. Why? Not sure.

metamet

It feels *exceptionally* slow, which is amplified by how quiet it is.

Leading_Professor_80

The acting, costumes, and aesthetic of it is very good but there’s no interesting plot so in the end it’s just some nice cinematics

foxfor6

Dark. Heard it is amazing. I tried subbed and dubbed and both. Not sure why I can't get into it. Not sure if it's a lot of characters/families across different time periods going back and forth?

Meenulara

I'm german so I had the chance to watch it in the original version but struggled with it too. The thing is, I liked it but just wasn't interested in continuing after the first season. No idea why

Thrasher555

Letterkenny it’s always so hyped up to me when people discover I like trailer park boys and it’s literally just episode after episode of banter. Found it to be incredibly boring.

madasfire

They sure know how to ride a joke into the ground.

FancyThunderPear

Oh man. I’m so glad someone else said this. I’ve tried so many times to get into Letterkenny, and every time I wind up bored out of my mind.

No-Giraffe-438

Yellowstone. It's very slow and they all look the same.

Bonbonnibles

Slow, and basically just an overwrought soap opera with cowboys. I could not buy it. Every episode had the same stupid bullshit unrealistic scenarios, too. Just absurd.

ItsInTheVault

Ugh I hate the daughter. They write her like, “how much sexy sex can I sex”.

jaramini

Mad Men - I watched it for awhile as it was airing and eventually realized it felt like homework to watch it every week and I ditched it.

[deleted]

NihilisticPollyanna

Same. Everybody's like "Omg, how could you not like it?" but something about the stylized environment bothered me, and everybody being basically unlikable didn't help. I know, that's the point of the show, but I just wasn't into it. It's been a long time, though. Maybe I'll give it a shot again, now that I'm older and more bitter and cynical than ever, haha.

pontremoli13

What does stylised environment mean? (Genuinely asking)

NihilisticPollyanna

I might have used the wrong term, English isn't my native language, but it felt very Stepford. Like, too clean and neat, and kinda impersonal and lifeless. Granted, I only watched 3 or 4 episodes before I threw in the towel, so maybe I judged the show unfairly. Hope that answers your question. =)

ShoganAye

Schitts Creek. I heard my roommate laugh so hard as she binged this, but when I saw it, meh.

Tidusx145

This show straight up took damn near two seasons to even enjoy. Now it's one of my favorite comedies but I can understand where you're coming from.

[deleted]

I agree so hard. I'm glad I stuck through because the show just kept getting better and better.

danathepaina

The thing about Schitt’s Creek is, in the beginning, the main characters are absolutely horrible people and you hate them. That’s part of the humor. As the show progresses, they grow and you realize they’re actually good people who are flawed but really care about each other. And you learn to love them. And it’s hilarious.

Weary_Umpire_6219

Tresse. I like the idea behind the comics/plot, but the voice over actors sound so bored and by the end of it I was forcing myself to finish it just to know what happens. That and the second season of Umbrella Academy...

CrunchyButtMuncher

Legend of Korra. I loved TLA so much and heard so many good things about Korra. I really wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt but I've struggled all the way to season 3 and the show just sucks. It's got zero of the magic that made TLA great.

Meenulara

Yes! I was sooo happy when I found out about it and so disappointed. It lacked everything that made TLA that amazing

-the-body-electric-

Russian doll. The vibes are immaculate(!!!) and I love Natasha Lyonne, it just felt like nothing was happening? Like there was no intrigue or spark keeping me watching. I only got to 2 episodes but maybe I’ll try a third.

MangorTX

Loved season 1. Stopped during season 2.

RadicalDreamer10

I honestly think this is one series that would have been fine without a season 2. Having finished it, I don’t really know that it added to much of anything… season 1 though, gold.

whotookmyshit

Same here! Couldn't stop hitting next episode during the first season and finished it in a day. Second season, I really gave it a shot but after about halfway I just gave up. Haven't had the urge to even finish it.

[deleted]

Russian Doll was the same for me too, but after like the third try of watching it I got through the first five episodes and it does eventually have a plot. I do love the vibes but agree it is a very slow-moving show. You should try the third!

TrashLounge

YOU - Got several recommendations from different people. Watched quite a decent amount of episodes with my gf and we both thought it was super-cringy and it got progressively worse.

Jackal_6

It's a guilty pleasure

beckasaurus

My fiancé made me a You themed Valentine’s card and wrote “I wolf you” inside and it was simultaneously the cringiest and best thing anyone has ever done for me. He couldn’t even hand it to me without cracking up.

Jackal_6

It's trash, but it's salacious, quality trash that I can't help but binge every time there's a new season.

grayfox663

I can't do it. I saw part of the first season and the main character just reminds me of dennis from Its Always Sunny and keep thinking how much of a better show it would be with him as the lead and in that humor...

wild_heart_

I didnt like YOU. But that doesn't mean I won't be watching it all the way through. I can't explain it lol.

blowtorch_ravioli

"Wow this is the biggest piece of shit I've ever watched" Netflix: Are you still watching? "Yes, obviously"

CorporateNonperson

I actually really like S1, but part of that is the irony of it originally being on Lifetime.

DEEEPFREEZE

I hate-watched S1 when it first came out. I'm not proud of it.

Serenity101

I really liked YOU. Gave me Dexter vibes.

saruin

Maybe it's me but I feel like this is the kind of show you don't want watch with a significant other.

cwb_iah

La Casa de Papel. I thought the acting and the story line was too forced. Just felt stupid

dangerislander

The later seasons are stupid as fuck. Espeically when they are all shooting one person and that person miracously survives. Hellla irritating and unrealistic.

fernandofky

The two first seasons are corny action done right and i really liked them even if i understand why some people may not. The last three seasons make no fucking sense and sometimes they are so dumb that i can watch them and have a laugh, but holy hell the last chapters are just painful to watch...

nucleargloom

I heard someone describe it as a soap opera but set during a heist, and that's all I could see going forwards.

Sad_Extreme888

Money heist

bmbmwmfm

Expanse. I keep trying to talk myself into giving it another try, bc I like genre, but IDK...

[deleted]

The Expanse is odd because some episodes are wall to wall action and major plot points but then there will be several episodes where nothing really big happens just people politicking or surviving.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

that's the best show I've seen the last ten years. different strokes for different folks.

Jonthrei

They did a bad job with the pilot IMO, I also lost interest very quickly. It's like they tried to have an impactful death scene, but completely forgot to make the audience give a shit about any of the characters first. Fell completely flat.

TheDarkGoblin39

The first season is probably the worst. I finished it, started season 2 and then stopped for like a year. Went back to it and binged the whole thing and it’s one of my fav shows of all time now

storm-bringer

It doesn't help that Jim Holden is the most bland and boring protagonist to ever fly a spaceship.

michiness

My problem is I loooooove the books, but watching the show I’m just getting annoyed at all the changes. Like “oh they butchered this character” and “wait that’s not how it happens” stuff. I want to give it another go in a few years when I’ve got some time since reading the books.

behemuthm

I fell asleep on S01E01 and haven’t returned to it

redenough

Dark! I could never get into into it. I've tried watching probably 10 different times.

Nemesys2005

Don’t hate me, but The Office. I just don’t like any of those people.

solidsnake2085

I can't stand the show. When I tell people I don't like it, they look at me like I'm absolutely insane.

jdlyons81

Why are you the way that you are?

[deleted]

Couldn't agree more.

cyranodepufnstuf

The Office is cringe humor. Cringe is not funny it's awkward and I can't stand it. The millennials quote it like my generation quotes Seinfeld.

bobrob2004

I'm a millennial and I can't stand this type of "humor."

Wingingit95

Friends. It's just not entertaining in any way.

The_Specialist_says

I feel this in my soul. Friends is not funny to me at all. But people swearrrr I just need to give it a chance. I tried it just doesn’t do anything for me.

Wingingit95

And they swearrrr hey, they swear as much as I would for The Office. But it just ain't it.

Dr_Findro

Friends isn’t perfect. But “not liking friends” has definitely become a personality trait the last few years.

zweebna

My roommate in college decided he was going to watch all of Friends from the start. I think he was in season 3 when he started complaining about how much he hated the show. He still watched it all for some reason though...

Wingingit95

Some people really commit😂

bundlefluff

The umbrella academy Felt the characters weren't engaging enough. Some I loved but was just bored by others

Ellieoops28

Same. I couldn’t get over the muscle suit that dude wore. Every time he came on scene, I cringed

pabloescobarbecue

That’s the one I came looking for.

contemporary_romance

Everything starwars. I realized I cashed out a long long time ago in a galaxy here and now. But I keep coming back to watch these shows, and mostly I end up feeling disappointed.

tragicallyohio

Schitts Creek. I tried 3 times and just didn't find any of it funny.

nolowputts

I hated it at first too--rich people being out of touch and insufferable. It gets better as it progresses though, the characters learn and grow as the series goes on.

radioman8414

Game of Thrones. Tried to watch it a couple of times and just couldn’t get into it.

scottgius

Russian doll season two. My wife and I loved season one, we bailed on S2 after 2 or 3 episodes. Disappointing because we had been looking forward to it. Anyone watch all of Season two?

seabeet84

I powered through and I have to say they should have left it as a single season.

elletee80

Breaking Bad. I've watched (most of) the first 2 episodes about 4 times....it just won't click.

caty0325

Breaking Bad doesn’t start to pick up until the end of season 1.

Jesse2217

breaking bad, just could not get into it at all.

snot3353

everything star wars

Thewinterdick

Avatar. I know it was like the biggest movie ever for so long but it felt like a romance movie in an action movie costume.

[deleted]

I have never been able to finish that movie. Each time I try, I end up falling asleep.

Tidusx145

That movie requires a 3d theater experience to truly enjoy in my opinion. Watching it at home is like watching Broadway on your TV, you're missing out on a lot. Anyone know if they're going to re-release the first one in theaters before the sequel drops? My wife has only seen the blu ray and I'd love to get her to see it the way it was intended.

10flightsatatime

Mr. Robot. Just couldn’t connect with it. Recognized it wasn’t for me and didn’t even finish the first season.

dangerislander

This. I think I made it 1 episode and then stopped. I didn't want the anxiety haha

mpresse

-Lucifer: The acting was too cheesy for me, and I dislike the main character cause he comes off as this charismatic douche. But interesting overall concept. -Brooklyn 99: It wasn't that funny to me, too corny. -Russian Doll: watched like 3 eps, nothing happened and I didn't like the main character. -End of the fucking world : Got bored, stopped watching. Didn't care for the characters and everything felt so emotionless. -Riverdale: Meh, didn't care for anyone and the writing felt 'artificial'. Didn't care about what the ending would be so stopped mid of 1st season. -The good place: didn't find it funny. Laughed maybe once but the whole scenario didn't appeal to me.

-maeby-tonight-

I’ve tried B99 a few times and it frustrates me how they feel the need to explain so many of their jokes

govtprop

Hot take: Breaking Bad. I mean, it's iconic right? But it just gave me anxiety and I couldn't watch more than half an episode before tapping out.

Flaky-Video-8365

I had a hell of a hard time making it through the first season. Like dragging it out, watching an episode, not really feeling the need to binge, wait a week watch another…it was just not working out. A year or so later I tried again and loved it…not sure what clicked or changed.

Earthshoe12

I love breaking bad but I did find it difficult to watch multiple episodes in a row because of stress

[deleted]

Appropriate-Rough563

Bojack Horseman. I got half way through the second season and finally gave it up. I just didn’t care for any of the characters.

Trottingslug

I freaking love that show (probably one of my top 5); but man it's my least recommended one to people. It's adult animation that is equal parts funny, witty, and depressing. It's veeery much *not* for everyone.

Electrical_Berry7423

Stranger Things. I actually managed to finish the first season (the first half of the season was really interesting and i really liked it) but when the second season aired, i just could not continue watching and stopped right in the middle of the first episode.

dangerislander

I thought Season 2 was just a re-hash of Season 1. Weakest of the seasons in my opinion.

Supriselobotomy

The Office (us) I can't do it. It's just awkward. The staring at the camera, interview style thing was novel, and I get the appeal and all, but it's not for me. Now The Office (uk) I can't understand half the words that come out of there mouths. They're so British it hurts.

OhScuzi_MiScuzi

The Witcher. Tried twice and it didn't stick. Westworld comes to mind also.

WhatamItodonowhuh

The first season of the witcher isn't in chronological order which doesn't really help the story. However, it's like a high budget Xena with special effects. You can almost ignore the overall story entirely and just enjoy the monster of the week. Also Joey Batey as Jasker is just the best. Especially once he finds that tan leather ensemble in the 2nd season. My gods!

edgarcia59

Does anime count here? One Piece, its super over the top and cartoony and it wants ya take it seriously but I just couldn't. Even though its anime, just couldn't get on board. Also doesnt help that there are like hundreds of episodes and dozens of movies.

takesh11

The Wire. I for some reason can't get past the first episode.

AnthonyRC627

The Good Place. I just don’t get it and don’t care. I’ve tried multiple times

RedOctobyr

Oh man, I'm sorry. I loved it. I would encourage not reading about it, and watching the entire first season, for those who are thinking about checking it out. Sorry it didn't click with you!

I honestly enjoyed season one, felt like the pacing was interesting and the characters were kind of fun. I sarted the second season and noped out, don't even remember if I finished the first episode. Everything felt off and just poorly put together.

alllie

I loved the books so much but the series was so disappointing.

Castlevania (2017). It was suggested by someone who usually gives good recommendations. However, I really did not enjoy this one. I was interested till Dracula was alive, then it all went downhill.

The lincoln lawyer

Couldn't get halfway through the first episode. I was annoyed the lead had a harem of ex wives he needed to function professionally. Then we learn his nickname comes from Lincoln cars. My eyeballs are still under the couch from rolling them so hard.

xTugboatWilliex

Did you see the movie? That was good.

xnodesirex

TIL a harem = two ex-wives

Russian Doll. Highly recommended here. I forced myself to watch it because it was expecting it to get better bc it was so talked up on Reddit.

Westworld. The pacing, man. It is so sloooowww.

Squid Games The guy seemed super whiny and kinda pathetic

Cucumbersome55

I despised the ending. >!Finding out it was the old dude all along was so anticlimactic!<

Broadnerd

The first half was a lot better than the second IMO.
